Whoever is the owner should know that your staff do NOT pick up the phone and when they do they put you on hold and never pick back up. This has happened now over 4 times and I think it's ridiculous. I ordered strawberry milk with pearl but there was no strawberry flavor, what I got was just milk. I know its a sensitive time due to COVID-19, But the staff could ask nicer to customers to wait on the outside. The lady staff who got my order was very nice and I tipped 20%. Hi friends, it's story time. Title is TBD. Our protagonist heads out to Torrance for an orthodontist appointment. She has been anxiously awaiting for this day because she's been rescheduled 3 times because of unprecedented times as society has labeled it. These trying times have affected many but especially small businesses. After a long journey, she wants to treat herself to boba and support local businesses. Unfortunately to her dismay, the following occurred. *Calls excitedly for boba* ST employee picks up and says, "Yes, we are taking orders but we have people at the register right now. Can you please wait?" Sure, she says. *Waits on phone close to 15 minutes* *Hears rustling in background and cries to be noticed* *Realizes they forgot that she's on the phone with them still* *Calls 3 times after but no answer* *Proceeds to drive to establishment anyways bc boba duh* *Reaches ST and sees 5 people working and is completely bewildered* *Places order and asks to use the restroom* ST employee rudely says, "Restrooms aren't opened." *Casually waits by storefront* ST employee continues rude temperament and says, "Can you wait outside?" She's taken aback because sign explicitly states 6 people can be inside store but at a safe distance apart. Boba is ready but girl is appalled by the rude customer service. She can't fully enjoy her boba but drives off into the distance and to never return again. Acknowledgments, I appreciate the staff for coming in and providing service to the community during this difficult time. However, impoliteness and rude behavior is not. Easily my first choice for boba in Torrance, I was super excited when I heard Sharetea was opening after being a fan of their Berkeley store. I recommend the "cocoa lover with ice cream" for those with a sweet tooth. It's pretty much dessert in a cup, and it goes excellent with boba for those who can't resist not having boba with their tea. It took us 25 minutes to get two drinks. We were second in line. It should never take that long even if you are offering the best boba in the world. One of our drinks was made and sitting behind the counter for at least 5 minutes (classic milk tea... nothing fancy) and then the Thai tea with the lowest sweetness is still very sweet. The drink is loaded with boba (5-10 pieces per sip) which some people may prefer but it was overkill for me. Unfortunately I do not recommend this location. read more

This place is absolutely wonderful. I love that I can adjust a number of things, like the sugar level, and ice level. This has been my go-to place for boba during covid. Everyone is always very polite and nice. I never have any issues, the drinks are always consistent and good. The best part of it is the size and the quality and finally, the boba is always absolutely perfect. I typically order the taro with real milk, or the oolong tea. Great boba that is consistent in flavor. Sharetea is great in letting you adjust your sweetness and ice level. I also really like that they have the option of using the Clover app reward system. Once you set up your phone number and get the app you have an online punchcard. As someone who goes every week the digital punchcard is nice to have. The staff is also welcoming. Sometimes though they are short-staffed making it take longer to order as they need to make the drinks for previous orders. The manager is very accommodating with fundraising for schools. Ordered two drinks from here. Matcha one is basically all creamer. I barely taste the matcha and they don't adjust the cream or the amount of matcha. This drink is all cream! I feel like they put whole milk and I'm lactose. Peach kiwi is another one. Asked for double boba, and all they did was discourage me from getting it. Why should it matter if I'm paying extra for it? Instead, they gave me basically no boba. The drink overall is a nice taste, but the green tea overpowers the entire drink making it more tart. It wasn't very crowded, maybe 3 people there. Took 15 minutes for our drinks! I've been to plenty of other boba places that take 2 minutes. We've been coming to this place for basically a week hoping it would get better...nope. Save your money and go to another place that cares more about their customer service. Oh. They also make you wait outside. I get the whole pandemic, but you don't even know when it's your turn to get your drink unless you're standing right there. So frustrating. read more

Sharetea is my favorite boba tea chain, I love that they're consistent and that they offer mini boba which is unique. I go here like every week, it's an addiction haha. Couple things I noted (over 2 visits) that bring my rating down from 5 to 3 stars. Firstly, I asked for my drink to have no ice. It's printed on the label as well, and there's still ice in the drink. I didn't notice it until I got home, unfortunately, so I couldn't be bothered to go back and tell them. Secondly, their day-old boba is very hard, not chewy at all. Thirdly, my drink wasn't sealed completely. I kept it upside-down in the fridge so my toppings wouldn't all stick together at the bottom, and when I re-inverted it, I felt droplets leaking out. Brought it to the sink for further investigation, and it was indeed dripping from one side. Last of all, one of the staff members looks like he REALLY doesn't want to be there. I asked for a bag after my number was called and he grumbled about it, saying my mojito wouldn't do well in the bag since it had an open top. I mean, I get that, but I got two drinks, so I'd like a bag for my other drink, please and thank you. Plus side- the drinks are actually pretty good. But that's about it. read more

I love ShareTea in general. I like their matcha fresh milk (less sweet) and Taro fresh milk (zero sugar). This spot even gives you a small discount on weekdays! But when you order, I would get it without ice. Because even ordering it with less ice half the cup is filled with ice! I'm a slow drinker so it really dilutes my drink. read more

Oh man, I go to this Sharetea at least once a week, but on bad weeks I go four times... yikes! Anyways, this is my go-to boba place in Torrance. I grew up in the 626 where there are TONS of great boba places, so I was a little sad when I moved to Torrance. There weren't many boba places to chose from around here, so I was pretty excited when I heard Sharetea was opening. I tried it when it opened and bam! I started loving this boba place!! Service is great and the drinks w/boba are great. For the drinks, I get the Whole Lemon Black Tea, Honey Lemon with Aloe Vera, Passion Fruit Mango Tea, or the Hawaii Fruit Tea, always with boba and 30% sugar. I personally think that 30% sugar is a very reasonable amount because it's subtly sweet. The boba itself is already sweet (and chewy, yum!) so I feel like the 30% plus boba combo basically makes the drink 80%~100% sugar haha... So if you want to cut down on sugar but still want the sweetness, I'd say this is a good option! but again, this is purely my opinion! As for the boba, they make the boba just the way I like it. It's chewy, not too sticky from the sugar, warm, and most importantly, consistent. But out of my many times going here, I do have to admit that I do get some bad orders sometimes.They never got my order wrong, but sometimes I feel like the ingredients are not fresh. One example I had is the pineapple bits in the Hawaii Fruit Tea tasting old and has that unpleasant sweetness. Below is our Saturday night scenario and our Sharetea customer service experience: Customer #1 - 6 smoothies Customer #2 (wife) - 1 tea Customer #3 - 2 teas Three Sharetea employees About 15 minutes after all orders were made my wife noticed that the three teas were completed behind the counter. One employee was still making the first order, a second employee was cleaning the blenders from the first order and a third employee was standing behind the register (no one in line). An additional 10 minutes have passed and those same three teas are STILL behind the counter. The two other employees that are not making smoothies are just standing around not offering my wife and the other customer their teas. So my wife asks one of the employees why haven't they given their teas to them. She said that they are not "allowed" to hand out the teas until the first order is completed. WHAT?! Sorry but this is not proper customer service at any boba shop. Any other shop would do their best to get you your drink as soon as possible so you can go about your business. You're better off going to Yami Teahouse around the corner. Plus they close later (Yami Teahouse 11pm, Sharetea 9pm). read more

My girlfriend and I have been going to ShareTea in Fountain Valley regularly for over a year now. Despite the rapid proliferation of boba tea places in the South Bay, including our favorites Ding Tea, Happy Lemon and the dearly departed HeekTea (RIP, South Bay HeekTea), there is something about ShareTea's menu and flavors that sets it apart. My girlfriend loves the QQ Happy Family, so when ShareTea finally opened in a place where we don't have to drive 30-60 minutes away from home, we were thrilled! We have driven by this place several times in the last two months but didn't stop to check it out till today. Our family usually goes to another boba place on Crenshaw near Wilson Park. This location is definitely bigger than our regular spot. Not as many choices tho other than how sweet or how much ice you desire. Ordered a green tea with boba with "light ice" and 50% sugar. Barely tasted the green tea. More ice than what I expected for "light ice". In fact, the drink was watered down. My wife ordered black tea with ice cream and made a similar comment about the thinness of her tea as well. Maybe the staff was overwhelmed because it was kinda crowded so they rushed our orders. Finally they're open! The Hokkaido Milk Tea is great, and their fresh brewed teas as nice as well. The boba are spot-on, and they even have crema, though I prefer mine with a little more salt. I prefer my tea less sweet, and they really do add the perfect amount of sugar that way. Less ice works best for me as well. I love Sharetea it's become one of my favorite boba places in the Gardena/Torrance area. I always go for the classic pearl milk tea (with black tea) but the mojitos are delicious too! The workers are always friendly, usually packed on the weekends so try calling ahead if you can. They have you wait outside but I don't mind at all. Definitely worth a try :-) read more

I ordered a simple Jasmine Milk Tea with mini Boba. Fast forward a couple of months, I gave Sharetea another try. Just like other yelpers have stated, cashier can be a hit or miss on customer service & wait times to get your drink can get awhile as they go in order by the transaction. So if you had someone in front of you ordering for a party, get ready to wait. I again ordered a simple Jasmine Milk Tea with mini boba and FINALLY the baristas made it pretty spot on just like the one Im used to in Arcadia. All in all, wouldn't go out of my way to get Sharetea but it's better than Ding Tea down the street. read more

So today is the soft opening and the drinks are all 50% off. The line to order was only a couple people long, but I noticed over 15 people waiting for their drinks. Unfortunately, the wait for my 1 drink was 45 minutes. However, the one drink I ordered, honey milk tea with less ice, 30% sweetness, and pearls was very flavorful and really good. Parking was very difficult to find in the very small plaza, so I had to park at Gen across the street which was a bit of a hassle. Overall, I loved their drink, except for the lengthy wait time and difficult parking that came with it. Because this employees are new, I do expect the rate at which drinks are made to speed up. Furthermore, once the drinks return to full price, I would expect the customer count to decrease. Hopefully then will the wait times decrease and I would be eager to return. read more
