With a huge boom of bubble tea places in the area (King Fu Tea, Teas n You, etc), Share Tea is yet another addition to the Northern VA area. A lot of young people flock here for the wide selection and fun sticky note wall. One of the few places open after 8pm on a Sunday. The crema drinks taste like sugary half and half while the milk teas are a solid option. The fruit teas really vary- I recommend the Mango Passion Green tea; refreshing without the fake fruity syrupy taste many fruit teas have. You really won't be able to tell until you order but don't be afraid to ask for samples of the add ins and recommendations from the staff. A big downside is they only have one size (equivalent to a large) for $3.25-$4.50. Especially with the heavier milk teas, this can be way too much for one person. Overall, a decent option- just make sure to ask for suggestions from the employees. read more

Sharetea = LOVE LOVE LOVE! This is a weekly ritual for me now! The Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Tea, Caramel Tea, Mango Black tea are all amazing!! I love the sticky wall (kinda sad I lost of couple of stickies when they moved stuff over from one wall to another). Service is usually quick and accurate and they are happy to make adjustments within reason. For instance, when my tea was too sweet because of all the Mango jam, they happily created a new one for me. I do not like the fact that their stamp card promotion ended, I was SO killing it, lol! read more

The tea here is OK but what made me leave a 1-star review is the manner in which management treats the employees. These are just high school/college kids and I see them working insane hours with little to no appreciation. You can visibly see management and certain long-term employees treating these kids like absolute crap and it's very disheartening. Also, most food establishments have tip jars and the money is shared amongst those working on a specific day...well from what I heard the management here takes all of the tips. The employees work extremely hard, are super friendly and timely, only to have their hard earned money taken from them! It's truly ridiculous and it has caused me to stop putting money into this place despite enjoying their products. This is currently my favorite bubble tea place in NOVA. It's in a nice centered location and with a lot of parking. I've gone several time and it has been clean, peaceful, and pleasant. Music is at a good level and simple and modern decor. People are nice and very helpful. I recommend to avoid the sunset time because they get blasted with sunshine and it's almost impossible to read the menu. The big bobas are perfectly cooked (for me)and the tiny bobas are nice. The big boba is soft with a small chewy bite in the middle. The small boba did also get overwhelming because there's a lot of tiny balls in every sip (which is nice if you are into that). They have a variety of milk tea which is amazing for tea connoisseurs (but im a pleb and can't tell the difference). I do highly recommend the coffee milk tea because not many places do this unique style from Asia. I like the regular sweetness which is a good tamed level for me (it keeps my sugar monster in check). One bad thing, I wanted to chill and do some work, but they do not have public wifi for customers. I guess this will be good for those that actually want to talk and limit phone usage..... I need at least 1-2 cups of bubble tea a week to survive so I was pretty excited about a new boba spot opening up in the area. I've been twice and both times they were out of the boba! That's like McDonalds running out of fries or a pho restaurant running out of broth. The teas themselves are pretty average in my opinion. They have some interesting flavors and toppings but if I'm craving bubble tea and my other favorites spots are still open, I'm willing to drive a little both further for them. Worth a try if you're curious but nothing spectacular. The customer service also needs improvement. There was a bunch of different parties still sitting inside about 15 mins after close, I guess we all lost track of time. One of the workers rudely told us "We closed 15 mins ago. Go home now." I understand it must be frustrated to close while customers are inside but there are much more respectful ways of relaying that information. read more

I've ordered twice so far from them and both experiences have been less than stellar. The first time, I got the ice cream mango and the order was way too sweet, but that I just chocked up to my personal tastes, after all it was the average amount of sweetness for other customers. Next, I decided to get oreo milktea with no sweetness, and the flavor was good but I also ordered it with mini pearls, and the pearls were not included in the order. It's very annoying to be charged for something I never received. COVID makes everything more difficult, and staff are probably receiving a lot of orders, but still, I did not have a good experience. This was my first time trying ShareTea, and I'm not sure I will order again, especially with so many other bubble tea places to try. Hopefully things get better for them though. Me and my husband probably have Sharetea once a week. It is the best bubble tea around! The price is great, most teas are under 5$ and the size is huge! I also love that they have pudding as a topping, as that can be hard to find. Lately they have a 2 for 6$ special on the Okinawa & Hakkaido tea. Which is a great deal!! It doesn't include topping but they are only 50 cents to add. So it still saves money. Last, the staff is always super friendly! This is probably our favorite milk tea place in the DMV area. Whenever we are at Fairfax, we always make an effort to stop by here to get some good milk tea. Our go-to are their regular milk tea and their matcha milk tea with red beans, both with 30% sweetness and less ice. What I like about their milk tea is that you can actually taste the tea in it - it's not the artificial flavoring. Their matcha milk tea is one of the best we had. We've tried matcha milk tea from other places, and they tend to be very powdery tasting or bitter. Sharetea's matcha milk tea is so smooth. You can taste the matcha but it's not too overpowering that it's bitter. The red beans are sweetened already, so that add some sweetness to the drink, too. I'm sure if you're not interested in the red beans, you can request to not add it. Their prices are reasonable for the size of cup you get. Their classic milk tea was $4.50 and matcha milk tea with red bean is $5.50. We decided to try their Hawaiian fruit tea with Aiyu jelly. It's pretty good, but we would request for 10% sweetness next time if possible (they don't have 10% as an option though). Even with 30% sweetness, it's still too sweet for us. OMG this may be the best tea place in NOVA. Been around but their speed, the ability to be open on holidays, free wifi and tea variety makes it content. You can add mulitple toppings and also decrease your glycemic intake but decreasing the sugars they add to every day american liquids. The sitting room is plenty but may not be the "loungey type" To add to our entertainment they have a decent sound system and various Kpop music videos playing. read more

My fiancé got honey milk tea which isn't sugar adjustable... I wonder why? Usually only the premade powder ones are not adjustable for sugar content. A little overhyped, but still pretty good -- do check it out since Sharetea isn't common on the East Coast. I tried their Classic Pearl Milk Tea w/ Oolong and less sugar, and it was a nice subtle tea flavor that wasn't too sweet. The bubbles had a good texture and sweetness. The Wintermelon Tea was very good, and I usually don't like wintermelon because it can be too sweet at other places, so this was a pleasant surprise. The Happy Family Milk Tea was STACKED with toppings so if you like that, I would recommend getting this one. Note: it was insanely crowded and the line was constantly to the door when I went, so be ready to wait a while for your drinks. read more

Unfortunately I was unable to even try their teas because of their strict policy of not being able to customize your own drink. I wanted low caffeine tea (oolong) with passion fruit syrup and boba pearls. Cashier was very sweet and was able to ring it up but the person who was going to make it said they couldn't change the recipes and can only do what's on the menu. I didn't think I was asking for too much...can't a pregnant woman just get a boba fix without being rejected!? I'm sorry but I had to just walk out of there...with no bubble tea in hand. They still need to perfect their recipes, and add another cashier instead of long lines forming in such a tiny space. It's the closest bubble tea place to my house, but I wish their smoothies were less icy, creamier and more flavorful. One good thing about this place is that they don't sell a few classic drinks with boba included without charging extra like many other places that charge for adding boba to ANY drink. I've been going here since 2017 around the time they opened up. With so many boba tea places opening up with the area, it's really hard to choose to pick which one to goto. However, I always end up at sharetea since their base milk tea with boba is really good. They also have some good seasonal drinks like their Thai coconut milk tea and their berry boba flavors. My goto would berry boba drink would be the boba berry matcha flavor but I've decided to try the honey berry boba tea with strawberry pearls. It's really sweet and almost taste lychee. Sharetea was one of the first boba shops i found out about in my area after Kung Fu Tea was a hit. I'm pretty far from eden center so finding a boba shop that's good was a necessity for me. Sharetea provides a lot of things that most boba shops here don't (which every boba shop have something different) but I love mini boba and I'm glad that sharetea has it! Every visit I go here I grab a different drink each time but my favorite so far is the Wintermelon tea crema. I ordered it half sweet and it still tastes really good. They're very generous with their toppings and everything was a good equal mix. I'm a big fan of their ice blended drinks too but the wintermelon tops off and I even like it better the the Kung Fu Tea wintermelon milk which says something! I really recommend this place for people to visit because not only are their drinks great but the interior is a great place to take pictures in! read more

I was told this is pretty popular in Hong Kong, so I had to try it for comparison with Kung Fu Tea. I always order black milk tea with bubbles and pudding as my gold standard. Unfortunately, the bubbles, which are what I rate all tea shops on, were not as chewy or sweet. Kung Fu Tea has mastered making honey-infused bubbles that are the perfect chew. Moreover, the milk tea at Sharetea is not very concentrated -- tastes more like half & half than anything. My friend ordered their mango slush (very similar to Mango Mango's) with ice cream topping, and, while that was good, it was overly sweet. I would pass on Sharetea. read more

I ordered the oolong milk tea with bubbles, without any modifications. It was very bland, almost watered down. The bubbles are absolutely disgusting; someone must've overcooked them because they are super soft and sticky. I could not even drink the tea because all the bubbles were stuck in the straw (see picture). Just FYI, they have a minimum $5 for credit card purchases.
