    Salad was delicious

The food culture in Eureka is okay (just okay). The service was great and the restaurant itself is clean and really nice. I loved that staff continued to refill my beverages. The ribs were my favorite but I was not the biggest fan of their pulled pork. I'd give them another chance and try them again. I'll definitely be getting those ribs again.

Ok so first off the Italian is home made and all oil.. don't get it. Salad probably would have been good with something else. I tried the ribs and brisket but sadly the ribs were under done. Let's just say chewey is not how ribs are supposed to be. The brisket wasn't too shabby but def crock pot ribs. The veggies were the best thing on the plate overly buttery and cooked well.

My second steak that was supposed to be less black than the first.

First off I want to say that I hardly ever come here because almost all of the food has a major smoke flavor. I understand that's how it is, but it is not my choice when we do go here. Tonight our two teen boys had football team dinners so my husband and I decided to come here, which was my choice because I just wanted a steak and a salad. It's a steakhouse so I figured they would have great steak. I picked the 16oz new York, market priced at $43.99. Ok, cool. My steak shows up cooked all the way through when I asked for pink, and it was completely burned on the outside and tasted like charcoal. After thinking it over I decided to let the waiter know, and he had one remade for me. The next one shows up black, I mean BLACK. I touched it and I got literal charcoal on my hands. I decided to just box it up to go. To top it off, flies kept landing on us, and the shades by our table were missing so I had to lean to the side to get the sun out of my face. The waiter gave me the steak for free, but I won't eat it. Hopefully my dogs do so it isn't a waste. The two stars are because the staff were nice and the salad was good,

Love coming here, usually have an excellent experience with the food, service and ambiance. This night was off for the food. Service was wonderful - sat at the bar, had the lovely Christina as a bartender. Got to enjoy watching an amazing third period comeback for the Dallas Stars on the massive tv. The New York steak was flavorful, however had a massive hunk of fat on the thick end, inedible by my standards. And then my absolute favorite dessert has apparently been replaced by a new recipe...this is no Lava Cake. While the presentation is beautiful, it is a gummy cake with no lava flow and regrettable flavor. I used to crave this dessert. I never want to eat the new version again. I hope they reconsider the switch.

Came here a little late at night, was kinda quiet on a Wednesday. The army truck outside was pretty cool. I sat at the bar and the bar tender was super friendly. Got a local IPA. Didn't know what to order so I got the daily catch. Which was halibut, comes with spicy Cole slaw and loaded baked potato. I also got their grilled artichoke which was really nice too. Over all fish was perfectly cooked came out with a glaze the baked potato could have been cheesier :).. I'm a fan of real butter but its looks like they use margarine here but still good.

The food and service was amazing. Had a grilled artichoke and it was fantastic. My spouse that does not eat greens enjoy the artichoke tremendously. The hostess had a fantastic and bubbly personality. The server always had a smile on her face. The environment was nice and cozy next to the fireplace. The halibut was great, seared and flavored just right. Highly recommend this place.

We came in on a Saturday night and didn't need reservations. The service was quick and they gave us water and muffins to start. I ordered the tri tip plate and my husband ordered the T bone steak with chimichurri sauce. I really enjoyed my plate with the mashed potatoes. They have home made bbq sauce which was also very good. My husband enjoyed his plate as well. We then finished with the lava cake and ice cream. For drinks I ordered iced tea and he ordered beer. There were ciders, beers, wine, and cocktails to choose from. The ambiance was very cowboy and hunting setting. We had a good dinner and great service. We would come back again. The prices weren't bad either. They also had pastas If meat isn't your thing. Many options for everyone.

2 stars. Food was dry. Flavorless. Hard to eat. Needs a little quality control. Would definitely pass on this place next time. 2 stars for Tri-Tip. Steak was dry, flavorless, and over cooked. 3 stars sides. Baked potato was barely baked. Not very good. Underneath the pile of cheese was the mac & cheese which was decent. Rice was good. Corn was grilled but no flavor.

I ordered the French Toast Special, which includes eggs and a choice of sausage or bacon. As someone who doesn't eat meat, I asked if I could substitute it for something small like toast, fruit, or potatoes. I was told substitutions weren't allowed, but she can just not include the meat. Since the full price still applied, I chose to keep it for my husband. Despite clearly mentioning that I don't eat meat, it was served directly alongside and touching my French toast, which was disappointing. After our food was delivered, our waitress never returned. It appeared her shift had ended, but no one else checked on us. After waiting quite a while (with only one other table occupied), we had to get up and request the check ourselves. The food itself was underwhelming. The French toast was quite dry, with an overwhelming amount of powdered cinnamon that threw off the flavor. I really wanted to like Adel's, but this experience left me unlikely to return.

The place was pretty busy at 8pm and we sat outside since we had our pup with us. I was surprised when I slurped it down and it was warm but they were delicious and the sauce on top was very flavorful. (That was my fault for not reading the description well enough; I'm just accustomed to eating oysters chilled) For entree's, I went with the Polenta Veghie lasagna and my husband ordered the Italian Mac n cheese. Both dishes were very good and very filling. I loved the crust of the polenta and the eggplant and cheese filling was delicious. The restaurant is clean, has an old feeling to it, a little more dim than I would like but nothing that would change my mind about staying. We were seated quickly and the service throughout our whole experience was just amazing. My wife ordered the fried pickles that came with a dipping sauce. These things were quite addictive! They were not as salty as I thought they would be and we enjoyed them all the way to the bottom of the bowl. I ordered the fishwhich with a side of Hawaiian Mac Salad. The sandwich was great! I love that it was breaded and fried but not so overwhelming to where it taste more like batter than fish. The fish was tender and not salty but the presence of the fish taste was prominent and not covered by the batter. The sandwich all in all was the highlight of this meal. I will say I was a little disappointed with the "Hawaiian" Mac salad. As a Pacific Islander, it's always great when we get to have a taste of home. This was indeed Mac salad but not made in the Hawaiian style. It was watery, had cucumber and it did not stick like Hawaiian Mac salad. I did my best to be respectful and finish my plate but it was really hard to eat that macaroni salad. I would love to see this remade into the Hawaiian style that it claims. For dessert, we had the churros with dipping sauce and the white dipping sauce was the absolute best! The chocolate dipping sauce could've been worked on a little more and it was surprisingly watery as well. The churros were something different from the traditional churros that I was used to, but it had good flavor and it stayed together and did not fall apart which I appreciated. All in all we enjoyed our time here being able to have this food, have a great conversation, and receive amazing service. I appreciate most the fact that the server tolerated my sense of humor when I asked her "do we get discounts at The Hood if we are from the 'hood". We will definitely come back here again whenever we are in town.

Even though they didn't have cioppino, it was the perfect choice. Sitting out on the patio with the breeze and the sun and the bay with pelicans and gulls flying and flowers all around was great in itself. The food and warm service people made it incredible. We had the best clam chowder I have ever had - thick, creamy, sweet with clams, and amazingly not heavy at all, just perfect. The hot crab sandwich was a special, so that made up our minds on one thing; and it was excellent. The onion rings were highly recommended by the waitress and the guy at the next table who had just gotten a serving. The breading was perfect and nicely seasoned, and the inch-tall rings of sweet white onion - wow. Giant, delicious onion rings. My son was attracted to the blackened sole but I persuaded him that we needed the clam cutlets because - cutlets of razor clam, seriously? And they were cutlets, a thing we had never seen, nicely breaded and delicious. We like clams. The fries were okay, just fries. The tartar sauce was light and an excellent tangy counterpoint, and the cocktail sauce was truly amazing. We were impressed. Both plates came with a small slice of tasty watermelon, too. We left very full and well-satisfied but not feeling weighted down. If you are ever in the area before 3pm on the days they are open - do not miss Gill's on the bluff By the Bay.

Our server was very pleasant and let us know the special of the day, a halibut dish with a creamy pepper sauce. Debating between that and another dish, we asked her recommendation and she suggested the fish. So we did it. My wife and I traditionally split meals at restaurants, because they generally give you so much food, you leave uncomfortably stuffed. We prefer leaving comfortably satisfied. So we split the Arugula Salad. They bring complementary bread with a garlic butter or basalmic and olive oil. We preferred the basalmic. The garlic butter wasn't very garlicky. But the salad was excellent. They split it for us for a small upcharge. The Halibut was excellent. We had to split it ourselves, but that was not a problem for us. It was served over couscous and was excellent. A bit small to split, so we added a cheesecake dessert with ganache. Very good. I found this restauraunt on Yelp and we reserved it for my birthday dinner on a Saturday night. We sat by the window and had a beautiful view of the sunset and bay. Upon being seated we were served some bread with some whipped butter mixed with some sort of seafood I believed? I forgot, but the butter was delicious. Our first round of bread however, was average at best and was very dense and doughy. The next rounds of bread were significantly better though, so maybe there's an inconsistency with the way they bake their bread in-house. I ordered the seafood penne pasta and my boyfriend ordered the king salmon with risotto. Both were "specials" and were not on the menu. However after digging into reviews here, it seems they are not so much specials since both dishes have been served here for the past 7ish years. Seafood penne pasta: I would rate a 3/5, maybe a 2.5/5. The pasta itself was not al dente which was disappointing. The "star" of this dish was supposed to be the scallop, which was severely undercooked! It was super soft and mushy. The shrimp was alright...some were overcooked. The salmon was also dry. I think the only thing I really enjoyed was the mussels, clams, and the sauce. The sauce had some curry with a small kick to it. This dish was just okay. Escargot: We ordered as our appetizer, I'd give it a 3.5/5! The escargot was a little soft but paired wonderfully with the bread. Creme brûlée: 3/5. Our waitress kindly put a birthday candle on it for my birthday. :) I enjoyed it, and it was very custardy! The downside was that the sugar on top was too burnt. I can't speak much for my boyfriend's dish, I did have a bite of his salmon and it was alright, maybe a bit too salty. The service however was wonderful and our waitress was super kind and helpful. Maybe I would come back to try another dish if I'm back in the area.

We were graciously checked-in early during opening at 5, even if our reservation was at 6. Very thankful for that as Happy Hour was 5-6. Classy and very tasteful. Started our dinner with $6 cocktails (Old Fashioned, Aperol Spritz and Cosmopolitan). Got all three apps from the $5 HH menu. Fresh Humboldt Oysters (two), Korean Beef and Traditional Polish Pierogies. We were already full with these starters, but we foolishly proceeded to get the main courses. I'd blame this on the hardworking Eddie, a Schlansky lookalike (google: Conan Jordan image). He had this tic of repeated "how're you guys doing so far" that made this family order entrees, which was unbecoming of us. Catch of the Day. Halibut with roasted brussel sprouts and quinoa. Pork Belly Al Pastor with crispy polenta Striploin with pomme puree and sauce du jour.
