Came on a Sunday afternoon. Place looks clean but the Ladies room had a terrible smell and was not clean. I saw several air freshners in there and it was not helpful! I did inform the hostess. Our server was ok. He tried to balance handling the bar and waiting on some tables but the bar patrons received faster attention. My daughter's order was not correct and it was quickly fixed. Modifications and requests were handled well. I agree with my daughter that the vibe was off here. I am not sure if I will return.

It was awesome. Had a craving for a seafood boil. Excellent service and attention to detail. Full bar on the center with seating all around. I actually made a mistake with my GPS by misspelling the name in the direction address. Thank you Waze! Expansive menu with both fried and boiled. Fried baskets of chicken tenders, shrimp, fried fish & wings. The boiled seafood with seafood combos or make your own. Mine was crab legs, mussels, sausage, eggs, corn and potato. It was delicious with the juicy special. Think garlic, butter, Cajun with some heat. Great experience with friendly service. I will go back very soon

Food was alright, I would probably go spicier next time. Service was pretty slow though, and I say this as a server. We sat around for a while waiting to get attended at our table on a pretty slow night. Server only came back with food and when we had to checkout.

The best seafood in town! Portions are huge. You won't go away hungry. Amy our waitress went above and beyond to make us feel at home and part of the family.

It's hard to stick out in the over saturated seafood boil market, someone really needs to shake things up :) I decided to treat myself to seafood, and my options were plentiful. I decided on Shake Shake due to it's awesome location next to "Marsh Park" a very nice green way trail area to go to after stuffing your face here. My initial thoughts of the dining space isn't anything special, it's decently large with a very nice spaced out bar in the middle. It's very well lit with lots of booths for couples and groups, the standard table set up is still there of course. It was nice to see the well mapped handicap accessible walk way into the restaurant also. I decided to check out the lunch menu, I picked the calamari lunch basket with fries and hush puppies. I paired that with a fried shrimp and flounder dinner portion. The calamari was excellent and well seasoned, the shrimp were on par with the calamari. The flounder while delicious were a bit heavy on the batter and light on the actual protein. Outstanding bake on the entire basket, including the cajun fries (not spicy just right amount of seasoning). The hush puppies tasted a bit flat, they needed a note of sweetness or garlic...but more than just hot corn meal. While I can't speak for the crab boil portion of the menu, I can say Shake Shake does most things right for 10.00 fried calamari or shrimp basket's with an ample amount of fries and a couple hush puppies included...you'll feel like you had a decent lunch break. My server/bartender worked dual shifts and she did it flawlessly. I wasn't able to capture her name but amazing job! I'll be back partly because the customer service was also 5 stars. Pro Tip: Items such as crabs are market price, and this is a volatile market currently. Avoid the sticker shock, dont be afraid to call in and see what the rates are for the fresh seafood items before you arrive.

This used to be my favorite seafood boil restaurant, well the independence location. Today that changed. I ordered a pound of shrimp. Almost half of them weren't clean. When I informed the manager he shrugged his shoulders and said "we'll we order them deveined". I couldn't even eat them. He charged full price and offered no apology. My server said that was the second time that someone complained about the shrimp that day, and his response was the same. He didn't even offer an alternative option. If I visit again, it will be the independence location.

    Jeff M.

Great flavors. Great portions. Great drinks. Checked all the boxes for me. Solo dining while on business. Sat at the bar and Antonio was bartending. I went all in on the Lobster tail, Snow Crab, Shrimp special. Heat level medium - will opt for hot next time. Juicy special flavoring. Mmmm, mmmm! Delicious! Though I'm not deducting a start for it, I would have preferred a metal fork and real plate rather than the plastic and styrofoam provided, but hey, it's pretty much an eat with your hands experience.

I don't know where to start about this place other than the fact that I'm mad it's my first time trying them out! We ordered the shrimp & crab legs in a bag/seafood boil and added boiled eggs, and one with crab legs, crawfish, and extra potatoes. Both mild with the house flavors. This was one of my BEST experiences yet in regards to taste, portions, the overall cleanliness of the restaurant, and the friendly staff. I'm trying to talk myself out of going back again this week...as we were just there 3 days ago. It's definitely a great option if you enjoy seafood in a bag, fresh & full of flavor!

Shrimp and sausage with the juicy seasoning

Stopped by here on Saturday afternoon to see what the buzz was about. I sat at the bar and ordered the shrimp, crab and lobster combo. It was a $35 special. Yes he bar tender told me to get the juicy seasoning with the medium spice level. I don't know what is I'm that juicy seasoning but I would put that sh!t on everything. It was really good. I might go back today. Breaking the crab up was a little difficult and very messy. Not gonna say it was worth it. Would I go back again. 100000%. In fact I went back a few days later and got the shrimp and sausage. It was really good and no where near as messy as the crab and lobster. If you're considering this place you should jump in your car and go. Stop questioning it. Just go.

Being from California, we did not think our sushi standards could be topped, but this place completely proved us wrong. Some of our favorites were the salmon belly, the red snapper sampler, the yellowtail, and the slam on hand rolls. Everything was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. We also loved that they had Echigo beer, which is not easy to find and was a great addition to the meal. One thing that really stood out was how well balanced everything was. Nothing felt overwhelming or heavy, and every dish felt thoughtfully put together. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any of the rolls here. I could not recommend this place more. An amazing experience from start to finish.

I'll start at the beginning ... My friend and I spent the week of New Years in North Carolina. If you wanna know why, ask. Just know it includes trolls. On the tail end of the trip, we were looking for dinner and tried to dine at Prime Fish - even driving out to the restaurant only to find it was closed (New Years Day). But we did make it out the next night. Without reservations even (reservations not taken) - without a wait and had what I felt was the best meal of the week. Seated at the bar, we got to see the chefs in action. They were busy all night but still managed to engage with the guests - many were regulars and like the chefs, uber friendly. Conversations with the guests was just a bonus that made the evening one that I won't soon forget. But back to Prime Fish ... Service was excellent. We were tended to on the likes that is deserving of the Michelin recognition. It's not just about the food. Our server was attentive, friendly, funny and genuinely took the time and energy to make sure we had a great time. Even left us with her favorite candy - see pic. Then there's the fish. The fresh sashimi and sushi. Started off with an Toro Imperial (fatty tuna, sea urchin, sturgeon caviar, sea salt and microgreens). If not for the price tag ($50), I would have ordered more. We both opted for a premium Sashimi Tasting ($27). Each. I wasn't going to share. Not being enough, I ordered a Sushi Tasting while she ordered a Salmon Tasting. See pics - of my orders but know they won't do the fish, or the restaurant and chefs any justice. I could use all the key words used to describe an excellent Sashimi/Sushi experience but words can't and won't come close. I've had Sashimi/Sushi all over the world. I've been in places that just ooze "expensive" and had a decent experience. What I really enjoyed is that walking in, the makeshift "outdoor" patio wouldn't make you think this is a Michelin "recognized" establishment. The strip mall location or even the single counter and few tables. Made me feel like it was just a simple restaurants with excellent food and service. Just like the Michelin Guide inspectors felt.

As a transplant to Charlotte for work, I'm always searching for the ingredients and flavors I grew up with, and this place delivers. From the fresh seafood counter -- where you'll find beautiful tiger prawns -- to the endless rows of fish sauce, oyster sauce, and every variety of soy sauce imaginable (sweet, dark, mushroom, Japanese), the selection is impressive. The aisles are thoughtfully organized by cuisine and region, which makes navigating the store surprisingly easy, even if you're new to Asian markets. The frozen section alone is worth the trip. If you're looking for dumplings -- Chinese, Japanese, Korean, even Nepalese -- they've got you covered. And don't sleep on the handmade crepe cakes in the freezer. Yes, they're about $25, but they're stunning and absolutely delicious. Honestly, they rival the famous crepe cakes from Lady M in the San Francisco Bay Area, where those cakes can easily run over $100. At this price point, it feels like a steal -- and you'll definitely impress your guests. The produce section is another highlight. The ginger is incredibly fresh, and the variety is fantastic -- from gai lan and sweet chives to cebollitas (Mexican green onions) and crisp green beans. It's a true sensory experience for anyone who loves to cook. This isn't a trendy, boutique grocery store, and that's exactly the charm. It's old-school, practical, and stocked with the essentials. Toward the back right corner, you'll find pallets of noodles in every style -- Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean -- everything you could possibly need for home cooking. The butcher and fishmonger are also available to help, which adds a nice personal touch to the shopping experience. There's also a bakery inside with beautiful fruit-and-cream cakes -- the kind you'll recognize if you've ever celebrated in an Asian household. Light, fresh, and not overly sweet. And if you're a coffee lover, keep an eye out for Café du Monde coffee -- it's usually several dollars cheaper here than at typical grocery stores. A few friendly tips: * Go with a plan -- this place can be overwhelming in the best way. * Don't bring a big entourage unless they're ready to explore. * And if you visit the Pineville location, go hungry -- the food court alone is worth the trip. Both locations are fantastic, but the Pineville store is newer, larger, and especially fun to explore. Shop curious, cook boldly, and enjoy the adventure.

Finally got the waitress to bring a nut cracker that we used as the crab cracker to open the crabs with. No little fork or crab leg opener offered. No lemons. No hand wipes . No extra napkins. We finally got her to come back at the end of the meal when she realized she forgot the side dish that should have been delivered when the food arrived. So there we were sitting with sticky hands and a side dish after the meal was completed. Never did she offer to refill water. It was not a good experience. The waitress was not great. Never cleared our table or offered to refill water. Honestly it was just one series of bad things after another. Our first time back after almost a year waiting and this ... Lesson learned. We spent 100 bucks and trust me we won't Ever do that again. I don't recommend this place. The crab legs were good - but I could have made them myself at home for 40 bucks and gotten a much better deal with all the basic accessories anyone would need to eat them with. Napkins, lemons and crab cracker tools. Would I go back . Hard No.
