We shared the seafood mushrooms appetizer it was a split one love them one thought ok. We shared the seafood platter combo and agreed it was really good and plenty for two. The lobster was perfectly cooked, the crab legs were steamed the fried shrimp were crispy and fresh, the shrimp scampi was perfect. The only criticism I would say the biscuits needed a few more minutes but that is my preference

Came for a late lunch on a Saturday. The cheddar bay biscuits are yummy and served hot out of the oven. The crab linguini Alfredo was good but the crab meat was shredded instead of big chunks. The restaurant could use a good cleaning. It's probably not as noticeable at night when it's dark outside but in the daylight you can see the dirt and dust covering the furniture. The service was pretty good.

    Horrible pasta

Awful experience! The service was horrible: appetizers came after entrées, bread was brought with the check, and when we asked about proper crab tools, the server said the metal ones weren't available because "they don't have a dishwasher.". The food was just as bad: stale pasta with hard pieces, shrimp with a bad aftertaste, and everything tasted like it had been sitting too long. Left hungry and disappointed. Stay away

This experience was nothing but unacceptable. I did an online order this past Monday for Lobster and Shrimp special. This is one of the daily specials that is offered on Mondays for 20.00. This entree includes one side, shrimp scampi and 1 lobster tail. When I went to pick up my order there was a young lady who gave excellent customer service. When I reached home I was so excited to eat due to I was working both jobs all day and this was my first meal of the day. Well I was very disappointed in the quality of observation. I discovered the lobster to be pretty much appalling. I know the meal was only 20.00 but I would not give anyone a meal that had looked like this, it would have took every bit of 5 mins to replace I'm sure they're pre cooked and if not it's just providing quality customer service. Again I really dislike leaving these type of reviews, but Red lobster I really had faith that I was coming to get a tasty meal.

Being from California, we did not think our sushi standards could be topped, but this place completely proved us wrong. Some of our favorites were the salmon belly, the red snapper sampler, the yellowtail, and the slam on hand rolls. Everything was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. We also loved that they had Echigo beer, which is not easy to find and was a great addition to the meal. One thing that really stood out was how well balanced everything was. Nothing felt overwhelming or heavy, and every dish felt thoughtfully put together. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any of the rolls here. I could not recommend this place more. An amazing experience from start to finish.

I'll start at the beginning ... My friend and I spent the week of New Years in North Carolina. If you wanna know why, ask. Just know it includes trolls. On the tail end of the trip, we were looking for dinner and tried to dine at Prime Fish - even driving out to the restaurant only to find it was closed (New Years Day). But we did make it out the next night. Without reservations even (reservations not taken) - without a wait and had what I felt was the best meal of the week. Seated at the bar, we got to see the chefs in action. They were busy all night but still managed to engage with the guests - many were regulars and like the chefs, uber friendly. Conversations with the guests was just a bonus that made the evening one that I won't soon forget. But back to Prime Fish ... Service was excellent. We were tended to on the likes that is deserving of the Michelin recognition. It's not just about the food. Our server was attentive, friendly, funny and genuinely took the time and energy to make sure we had a great time. Even left us with her favorite candy - see pic. Then there's the fish. The fresh sashimi and sushi. Started off with an Toro Imperial (fatty tuna, sea urchin, sturgeon caviar, sea salt and microgreens). If not for the price tag ($50), I would have ordered more. We both opted for a premium Sashimi Tasting ($27). Each. I wasn't going to share. Not being enough, I ordered a Sushi Tasting while she ordered a Salmon Tasting. See pics - of my orders but know they won't do the fish, or the restaurant and chefs any justice. I could use all the key words used to describe an excellent Sashimi/Sushi experience but words can't and won't come close. I've had Sashimi/Sushi all over the world. I've been in places that just ooze "expensive" and had a decent experience. What I really enjoyed is that walking in, the makeshift "outdoor" patio wouldn't make you think this is a Michelin "recognized" establishment. The strip mall location or even the single counter and few tables. Made me feel like it was just a simple restaurants with excellent food and service. Just like the Michelin Guide inspectors felt.

We were accused of stealing a bottle of liquor. She and another employee blocked the door and told us the police were on the way. We attempted to show her our purses and she refused to look. None of us had what we were accused of stealing in our bags or on our person. She insisted and said "one of the 4 of you are on camera taking the bottle". We asked if that's the case, who? Which one of us? She refused. We waited for the police in order to vindicate ourselves. During this time, a male employee got in one of our faces, hands raised, yelling and aggressively using racial slurs. The manager defended HIM. Other employees then again accused us of stealing and said we are on camera. Once the police came, they said you can't tell who it is on camera. After we finished dinner, we went to the bar and ordered a drink. We sat and talked and then proceeded to leave. Who steals and then sits there and PAYS for more drinks? We each had a purse and a carry out bag with the rest of the main course. Imagine a small side salad sized container with a piece of overcooked steak they had the nerve to serve us. I'm saying this to say it is a very lightweight takeout bag and none of our purses were big enough to hold a bottle of liquor. As a transplant to Charlotte for work, I'm always searching for the ingredients and flavors I grew up with, and this place delivers. From the fresh seafood counter -- where you'll find beautiful tiger prawns -- to the endless rows of fish sauce, oyster sauce, and every variety of soy sauce imaginable (sweet, dark, mushroom, Japanese), the selection is impressive. The aisles are thoughtfully organized by cuisine and region, which makes navigating the store surprisingly easy, even if you're new to Asian markets. The frozen section alone is worth the trip. If you're looking for dumplings -- Chinese, Japanese, Korean, even Nepalese -- they've got you covered. And don't sleep on the handmade crepe cakes in the freezer. Yes, they're about $25, but they're stunning and absolutely delicious. Honestly, they rival the famous crepe cakes from Lady M in the San Francisco Bay Area, where those cakes can easily run over $100. At this price point, it feels like a steal -- and you'll definitely impress your guests. The produce section is another highlight. The ginger is incredibly fresh, and the variety is fantastic -- from gai lan and sweet chives to cebollitas (Mexican green onions) and crisp green beans. It's a true sensory experience for anyone who loves to cook. This isn't a trendy, boutique grocery store, and that's exactly the charm. It's old-school, practical, and stocked with the essentials. Toward the back right corner, you'll find pallets of noodles in every style -- Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean -- everything you could possibly need for home cooking. The butcher and fishmonger are also available to help, which adds a nice personal touch to the shopping experience. There's also a bakery inside with beautiful fruit-and-cream cakes -- the kind you'll recognize if you've ever celebrated in an Asian household. Light, fresh, and not overly sweet. And if you're a coffee lover, keep an eye out for Café du Monde coffee -- it's usually several dollars cheaper here than at typical grocery stores. A few friendly tips: * Go with a plan -- this place can be overwhelming in the best way. * Don't bring a big entourage unless they're ready to explore. * And if you visit the Pineville location, go hungry -- the food court alone is worth the trip. Both locations are fantastic, but the Pineville store is newer, larger, and especially fun to explore. Shop curious, cook boldly, and enjoy the adventure.
