The wing deal on Mondays is awesome!!! Totally worth it! I got 10 teriyaki wings and a side salad. Delicious! I will definitely be back next Monday.

Stopped by Middle James Brewery and it did not disappoint! I had the Philly cheesesteak and wings--both were excellent. The cheesesteak was packed with flavor, gooey cheese, and the perfect bread-to-meat ratio. The wings were crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and seasoned just right. You can tell they don't cut corners on their food. As for drinks, I sampled a little of everything: a hazy IPA, a seltzer, and an American lager. The hazy was smooth and citrusy without being too bitter--solid choice if you're into IPAs. The seltzer was surprisingly refreshing and not overly sweet, and the lager was crisp, clean, and easy-drinking. Honestly, they've got something for every kind of beer (or non-beer) drinker. The vibe here is laid-back and welcoming--perfect spot to hang with friends or catch a game. I'll definitely be back for another round (and probably another cheesesteak). Cheers to Middle James for nailing both the brews and the bites! Enjoy fellow yelpers

Great location. Huge patio and wide open, well-lit tap room. During my visit, I sat at the bar. Only one person working and he only tended to the line of folks. Two other employees were behind the bar talking to a local but would not/could not help with beer. Finally a second beer tender came out and I got helped quickly. Looks like a great place to watch sports with lots of TVs and a definite bent for Aston Villa Football Club. Something super cool is that it sits adjacent to a large driving range and par 3 course. Mix some local beer with golf...fun! Hour Mark (American IPA) Nicely hopped and earthy. Very light and approachable. Slight melon notes on the back end with aromas of a grassy meadow in summer. Infinite Realities (fruited sour) Notes of raspberry and cranberry. This hazy pink brew is refreshing and has just a bit of tartness. Truly delicious on a hot summer day. I also ordered tots and they were really good and a huge portion.

Food was better than your average bar food with extra crispy fries and a really good big salad. Had one of their sours and mango wheat beers and those were solid too! Vibes were fine, just lacked that special feel. Plenty of TVs and service made it a solid spot to meet friends to chill.

Really good beer, food, and vibes. I thought their sours, honey blonde, and mimosas were all on point. They also served a fantastic cubano and house burger. They have a separate food menu for kiddos, which was nice. Plenty of TVs to catch any of the games. Driving range out back if you're into that. Indoor and outdoor seating. Really nice place.

Wow, amazing food. Haven't had a beer yet, but DEFINITELY coming back. The lemon pepper wings were good. Crispy and flavorful. Got two ranch cups (both only filled halfway), but ran out with a few wings left. Favorite type of fries, the golden crispy kind. Reminds me of Checkers.

This is a great place for beer and food. It has a very large outdoor area with picnic tables on the grass with umbrellas and outdoor patio seating that overlooks the golf course. We ordered wings and fries - they were great and on special for 60 cents a piece! The Kolsch was excellent as well.

A little bit of day drinking today after getting the van serviced up the street at the Mercedes dealer https://www.yelp.com/biz/mercedes-benz-of-south-charlotte-pineville-3?hrid=lMEcYTiP0DqGjSQphJhnzQ. This is a large brewery with a huge dining room that extends onto a patio that has a view of the driving range next door. It's a big and airy space. I'm glad they're open for lunch! Today's visit included a large Cobb salad with two beers for lunch while I might possibly have gotten some work done on their free and speedy wifi. The beer is tasty and cold - they have a dozen different varieties including Kolch, weissbier, pale ales, IPAs, cider and more. I had a very pleasant visit and managed to avoid any typoos on my work emails and Yellp reviews. I think. [Review 17518 overall - 3299 in North Carolina - 1036 of 2022.]

Beer brat, half of a mushroom topping burger complete with tots

Stopped by here with a couple of friends around 6pm. Opted to sit outside where we can overlook the people playing golf's. It's definitely a nice relaxing site.. I ordered the Kid raspberry. Didn't care for it because it's a little on the tart side for me. I later had the Mango Truck which I like soo much better. My friend was responsible for ordering the food. Which is separate from the bar. Understandable. But the problem is.. Because I was the one who order the drinks.. I have a tab started. However when he placed an order for food. She stated how it has to be a tab at the bar. He can't pay for it right then. Yet, our friend behind him who also don't have a tab at the bar was able to pay for his food. If we're going to have rules and regulations. Let enforce it across the board. No exceptions. I was not happy with the customer services. I had the beer brats. Which I was a little disappointed. Home town is Wisconsin. And I truly enjoy having beer brats. But the brat yesterday was not one of those.. I'm not sure if there's cooking involving beer coming from a brewery I have high expectations for this one. I also have the mushroom topping burger. It was ok. A little bland. As much as I like the ambiance because it's chill and nice place for a conversations. Based on the food and customer services. I'm not sure if this is the place I will sought out or recommend. To come and practice some golf. Yes...

Not at all impressed. Their beers were average/below average. Parking was easily accessible. They are dog friendly outside. Nice, wide, open area outside area in the grass to sit, which was very nice. Service was super friendly and helpful. I wish I liked the beer/food more, but it's just normal/average.

We discovered this brewery when we first moved to Charlotte. In the past two years this place has become one of our favorite staples to visit. The staff remembers us and waves high every time we walk in. It's like cheers but with better brews. One of our go to is the Musa as well as any of the Nitros they rotate. Their food is also a nice surprise as the cater to a variety of flavors from burgers, to pizza to salads and even chicken wings. Consider this establishment the most well rounded brewery around carrying home brewed IPAs, Stouts, ciders and Hefeweizens.

Crazy how time flies, but Middle James has been my go-to brewery-meet up spot in this pandemic world we live in. I know, [gasp] but seeing how other breweries and bars (especially in the South End area - cough, cough) really put into perspective where I want to spend my time. I also feel like I've most definitely aged out of Southend. Pandemic aside, there is plenty of parking, A TON of outdoor space, and a driving range next door. What more can you want?! Oh - friendly staff and an on-site kitchen, you say? BAM There are tons of TVs inside and a large bar to park you butt at. The few times I have gone, we've been able to spread out and have a table in the corner. The masks did go away for a glorious couple of months, but now they are back. Everyone wears them (minus eating and drinking) and everyone is respectful. I HATE that the majority of my review has been pandemic related, so lets talk about their beers. There's a huge variety so there is something for everyone. The staff will help you sample or guide you to a beer style that will suit you. My favorite so far has been the Melodramatic (Imperial IPA) with great flavor and easy sippin'. All around sold 5-stars for Middle James...

Ask the Community - Middle James Brewery

Where are dogs allowed ? Are they able to be in the dining room?

Because they serve food, they won't be able to allow non-service animals in the dining room.

Is there liquor and wine here or just beer?

No liquor - but possibly wine. They have beer, cider and I'm sure they've made a seltzer by now.

Are dogs allowed on the outdoor patio?

Unfortunately no. Health code won't allow the dogs through the building to access the patio because of the food service.

One person really liked the eggplant spaghetti, while another didn't care for the sauce, so opinions were mixed. A few people did enjoy their pizzas. I ordered a Greek salad with blackened chicken. I'd rate it about a 5 out of 10, very mid. The salad included cranberries, which was an interesting addition. Not bad, just unexpected. In earlier visits I always gotten a burger and my wife, a burger or a salad of some type. There are many burger varieties on the menu or you can "create your own" using a provided list of available ingredients and toppings. They have also introduced a "smash burgerI". I much prefer a big hunk of meat rare or medium rare which you cannot achieve when you order smash burgers. What ever I've ordered in the past was cooked perfectly and tasted great (which is why I keep coming back when in a Bad Daddy's market). For the last few visits, I've gravitated to "Kim's Honey Chicken" which is a wonderfully flavored spiced honey and jalapeño ranch sandwich. The burgers are always perfectly cooked with a slight crunch to the outside that makes them really stand out above other places. One thing that I really like is that you can choose most any side without an up charge. For instance, last time I was there I got the Ceasar salad and it was quite good. I love fries (who doesn't?!) but being able to choose other sides allows me to balance things out some as I try to limit the amount of fried foods that I consume.
