While their South End location went down a different path and catered more to the young late night crowd before unfortunately closing down, the OG location in Plaza Midwood has always maintained a more laid back, slightly hipster, but undeniably cool vibe. In that way it is a perfect fit for the neighborhood. While they are a little further past Plaza Midwood proper on Central Ave, it is just short walk away. They host a large variety of events, aways have multiple food trucks posted up so there are plenty of bites, and most importantly brew some pretty good beer! The are known for their hazy ipa and their Mexican lager to naw a few, but they also like to experiment with small batches so there's sure to always be something fun and new to try on the menu. For some people the age of micro breweries has past and it certainly seems like they've had their moment and times may be changing. That said, breweries like Resident Culture remind me of everything that was great about the craft beer culture at its peak, and hopefully as they continue to do what they do so well, they will remain a Charlotte staple.

Cold, crisp and completely crushable. Nicely decorated, calm and refined with tables, comfy chair and lots of plants. If I had my laptop today, this would be a great hangout.
