The slices were a good size, crispy, and had a good sauce to cheese ratio. You won't find too many places in the area that serves quality pizza by the slice so this is a good option to keep on your radar. I went back a second time recently because I saw they offered a chicken vodka sandwich which is essentially a chicken parm sandwich but in a vodka sauce. This sounded delicious so I told myself I had to go back to try it. It was a hearty sandwich and serve with waffle fries I left full and happy. As a local chain I would rate Hawthorne's as solid and dependable. Nothing mind blowing but quality food at a reasonable price. If you live or work in the South End area you should definitely keep this place in your lunch break rotation.
