Sunday afternoon, one person in the place. We walked in and the bartender/server was at the bar on a PC, and did not say a word to us. We found a seat and eventually made our way to the bar to see the selection. At that point the bartender/server got up to ask us what we would like to drink. We were never brought menus, we got up and got them from the bar. The pizza we ordered was flavorful, but was under cooked. The bartender/server only came to our table once, to drop our food off. The bartender/server did give us a military discount and we still left a 25% tip even though the service was nonexistent. You never know what someone is going through, and you should always tip. I really wanted to like this place because the atmosphere, decor, and overall look of the establishment are great. Unfortunately, after several visits, the service and consistency have continued to be disappointing. The biggest issue is the customer service. At times, it feels like some of the bartenders are more interested in socializing with certain patrons than paying attention to everyone at the bar. Getting a refill or placing an additional order can be unnecessarily difficult. In my experience, Carly has been the most frustrating in this regard. Brandy often seems distracted and disconnected from what is happening around her, while Sara can come across as uninterested in engaging with customers. You may place an order, receive your beer, and then barely be acknowledged afterward. The food is also inconsistent, especially the pizza. We have ordered it multiple times and rarely know what to expect. One visit it may be overly greasy, another time overcooked or burnt. Consistency should be one of the basics of running a restaurant. I also believe personal political opinions should be kept separate from the workplace. Customers come in to relax, have something to eat or drink, and enjoy themselves--not to feel like they are being pulled into an employee's political views, regardless of which side those views fall on. What makes this especially disappointing is that the place itself has a lot of potential. The atmosphere is appealing, and with stronger management, more consistent food preparation, and employees who genuinely make every customer feel welcome and valued, this could be a great establishment. I hope the owner takes constructive criticism seriously and focuses on hiring, training, and retaining staff who understand that hospitality is about making every paying customer feel acknowledged and appreciated. Unfortunately, we have experienced similar issues at the other location nearby as well. There is a lot to like about the concept, but the service needs significant improvement. read more

We finally checked out this pizzeria-brewery in Rock Hill, and here's my take... When we walked in, the place was completely dark...as in no lights. It didn't really create a vibe either...it was just dark! (later, one of the staff members caught on, and decided to flip the light switch on... OMG?!?). Aside from the lighting, the place was quite basic. I felt it would have been nicer to eat outside on their patio, but it was a chilly night. Also, they featured country music overhead...and am not a fan of country music. So obviously, I didn't love the vibe here. As if no lights wasn't weird enough, there was no waitress. Only 1 bartender at the bar, but no waitress. We had to order at the bar. So we chose to share this Hawaiian Pizza. Well, I loved the pizza crust, and it was well crafted, with all sorts of ingredients. The thing that almost ruined it was their excessive use of Balsamic Vinegar. Not a fan of Vinegar anyway, but I think a little would have been fine...but in this case, they just drenched it on. Really not sure why they put so much vinegar on this pizza...it just made for a very greasy pizza. Without it, I would have liked it SO much better. Also, although it had a lot of ingredients, nothing really popped. Think they could have added a bit of a kick to it...something even slightly spicy?? The issue my husband had was the heat level. When the pizza came out, it wasn't piping hot...just warm. Surprisingly I liked the pizza much more than I had anticipated...but just felt it was too greasy. WHY so much vinegar?!? For drinks, I had this Seltzer, and my husband tried one of their freshly brewed beer...and I think the consensus was just O-Kay. So...as it goes...some very odd things at this joint. No lights, no waiters-waitresses, and super-greasy pizza. I hate NOT loving so many of Rock Hill's restaurants, but for one reason or another, many of these local restaurants are just...rough and unpolished. I guess I'm willing try them again since I thought their pizzas were good (though too greasy). I mean the crust was really good...I just didn't love the Vinegar glaze on top. We wanted to find a good place for pizza close to or home and had read the reviews of Off the Tracks. Well, we did not experience anything close to a 4 or 5 start experience. Ot can be hard to to find a brewery that does both beer and food well. These guys nailed it. My wife ordered the Le Frecce, an italian hoagie, served on fresh rosemary focaccia was super tasy. I ordered the Stockyard Pizza. Too much food, but i couldn't put it down. I tried the Clody Days. Wubrew and Going Back to Cali IPAs. All were good, Cloudy days was my favorite. Pizza was great! The wings were chewy - definitely could stay in the oven longer. Felt bad there was only one bartender and he had to do everything (take orders, pour drinks, deliver food, and bus tables). Off The Tracks Brewery not only has great local brews but it food is off the tracks good! The menu is the basic bar food genre but done very well. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. The dough, the sauce, the toppings, and details all fall under my intense scrutiny. The one thing that sets Off The Tracks apart is the pizza oven! They have like a a hundred year old imported pizza oven that cooks the pizza dough perfectly (in my opinion one of the most important aspects of a perfect pizza) We got the Hawaiian (Only because my wife loves it. Don't judge me) But it was great and the cinnamon pretzel with sweet honey butter put the icing on the cake! When in Rock Hill, take time to stop by this spot, get a great beer, a slice and sit out by the fire pits and enjoy life. read more

When I first walked in, I was a little confused because I didn't know whether to wait for a host/hostess or seat myself. But, looking around I saw a sign directly to my right at the front door that clearly says "Grab a menu. Find an open table. Order at the bar when ready." So, that's what we did. Cute little joint. We sat down and figured out what we were gonna have and then I went to the bar and placed my order. Food came out in a timely manner and we grubbed. The food was good. The atmosphere was nice and I've heard a few ppl say something about the waitress not coming around to check on you. Well, I just figured since you order at the bar, if you need something else, just go to the bar and ask for it. Simple. We had a fine time and the service was nice and friendly. Wings came out a little bloody when we asked for them to be cooked a little more the next time they were even less cooked but chared more on the outside. Pizza was good but could have used another 2 minutes in the oven. My husband liked the beer but I thought it was a little bitter. Atmosphere was good I'm sure it's a fun place for college kids and for families to hang. Don't think I would drive 45 minutes like we did to visit the brewery. read more

We are outta towners and searched a pizza place on YELP. Saw that it was a brewery and thought "double bonus"! Anyway, the pizza crust is legit good, wood fired and hand tossed before your eyes.
