We were told two hour wait, but only ended up waiting about 45 min before we got the text. The experience was fun having to "sneak" through the fake door and into a fun, moody, and eclectic lounge room. The bartenders truly made the night - Harris is wonderful, fun, chatty, and made all our drinks on a whim with almost nothing straight from the menu. We would tell Harris the type of drink and strength, and he made the most incredible cocktails throughout our time there. Truly showed that he's a mixologist and not just a bartender. We so treated ourselves to the caviar and the dessert bites. Would only recommend that the chips be salt and vinegar as the dish was missing some flavor, but the dessert bites were incredible. Will absolutely return for another night soon!

The burgers had that pre cooked microwave bacon and the "famous fries" were just curly wedges you can get at any college bar. If you're gunna do all this to take away from your regular dining experience you may as well not do a lunch menu at all. I started reading other reviews and apparently this place has the same menu dinner and lunch. Seems like theft to allow the previous reviews and menu to be online. Only to serve people mediocre store bought tacos and burgers.

The outside is the small town charm of Matthews, but the inside is modern big city vibes. It is absolutely beautiful in there. Service was great and food and drinks amazing. I went on a Tuesday with a huge group of Facebook Group friends and we had a ball. We got the whole dining area reserved for us and in spite of a large crowd, the two waitresses were awesome. On Tuesdays cocktails are half off so I got the margarita and it was delish. For food I got the truffle fries and short rib sliders. Both were phenomenal! I couldn't even eat it all lol because even though small plates, I felt they both were filling. This place is great for a date night, hanging with the girls or even going solo to hang out at the bar. I can't wait to get back! Only thing that could make this place better is some live acoustic music sometimes, it would set the ambience off even more. Spoke with the owner and he said they do cocktail classes as well, they don't have them listed on the website but working on it, but said can email them for the info. I certainly will! lol

Another party also ordered all 3 eggrolls but they were burned and had hair in them. She sent them back and her claim was disputed by both the manager and bartender. The fact that the burned Eggrolls were not replaced without a triple check shocked me. I was flabbergasted. Based on that interaction she proclaimed she wouldn't return nor would I. A Fun Start to the Night at Conspiracy…read more We kicked off our night at Conspiracy, and it did not disappoint! It's a genuinely cool bar with a variety of seating areas to choose from. We opted for seats right at the bar, front row to the action. Fair warning: there were a few patrons nearby who'd clearly gotten an early start on their day and seemed more interested in basic shots than in actually experiencing what the mixologists here can do. If that's your scene, there's a time and place -- just maybe look elsewhere for it. That way, the rest of us can sit back, relax, and watch these bartenders work pure magic for our taste buds. And magic is the right word -- the drinks were fantastic. We gave them a sense of our preferences, and they ran with it, nailing every choice. For my second round, they skipped the menu entirely and just built something straight from their imagination -- exactly what you want from a place like this. The one food item we tried, the goat cheese pesto dip, missed the mark -- wouldn't order it again. But honestly, we weren't there for the food. With cocktails that good, it was still a win all around.

The atmosphere was just as memorable. It's dark but warm, with a very intentional speakeasy feel. I especially loved the half-moon green velvet booths--they create such a cozy, intimate setting and would be perfect for a dinner date or a more elegant evening out.
