The bartenders are super friendly. The drinks- perfect balance. Beers are really good for easy drinking as well. Ambiance- fun. We went back the next night for food. And... food was really good. We got chips, alsa and beer cheese chips were light and crispy. Salsa was sufficiently spicy and beer cheese was yummy. The Greek pizza was delicious- crispy on the edges. And the panini was delicious loaded with loads of meat. They were really nice and made a special virgin pink lemonade for our little one. Pity Im only here to visit. I had a relative in town and we wanted to go do something and I saw that Lore Brewing was having a trivia night. They have cocktails and beer and a decent food menu. It's family friendly! I brought two teenagers and there was another table with a little kid. I got a Mermaid Farts Haterade and an Espresso Martini and really liked them both! Our guest got a couple of beers. Unless you are a regular, don't expect to get good service. Thought this would be a good place to watch the Kentucky Derby with our baby as in years past, I've seen so many families there. Instead, we're treated very rudely for having a baby there. Meanwhile other families were having their kids run around the parking lot and throw chairs. We had a great first experience at Lore! It's a cozy taproom environment that was great to take our daughter to. We got the big soft pretzel and pepperoni flatbread which were both amazing! The Lore IPA and Mermaid farts (haha) were our favorite beers and we wrapped up with the brownie sundae which we all loved. They have a great selection of games and we had a great time as a family. I consider myself somewhat of a brewery connoisseur and Lore Brewing has been the best brewery I have been to in the Charlotte area. First, and most importantly, the beer is great. It tastes good and they have a good variety of different beers to choose from. If beers aren't your thing they also have mixed drinks available. They also have food which is great to keep you from getting over intoxicated. It's "bar food" but delicious. The service here is fantastic and the overall feel is super welcoming. This is a local favorite. Their food is very good and the service is excellent. I really like their wings and mac and cheese. I really appreciate the addition of a rotating cider and other non beer drinks. There are always a lot of events like game night, trivia, and karaoke which makes it very fun! Welcome to the neighborhood Lore Brewing Company. I saw your Instagram post for your new release of the Galaxy hopped IPA. Yes, I had to check it out since those Galaxy hops are hard to find in these parts. It was a great experience with a friendly and knowledgeable Staff, Evan walked me through the options and said they have a meat & cheese plate for now but will adding more food options soon. They have Trivia on Tuesday, date night specials on Wed and live music on Thursday. On game day, they have several wide screen HDTV's I really like this space as it's open, airy and lots of natural light. The living edge chestnut wooden bar is beautiful and has some historical significance. According to Dave, the owner, it's been in the family for over 100 years and repurposed to its current state as the bar. I've seen Ryan Bailey before in Fort Mill and would encourage you to catch his Thursday night shows. read more

Happy to see another brewery close to home. The brewery is located in the end unit of a strip center. It's easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. The taproom is fairly open with a fair amount of seating and a long-ish "L" shaped bar. There is a overhead door that opens to outdoor seating when the weather allows. Fairly nice space, even if lacking a bit in charm. The staff is very attentive and friendly, and seemingly eager to discuss their offerings. There is no kitchen, but there is an Empire Pizza at the other end of the strip center that you can order from, and they will bring your food to you. They had roughly eight beers on tap, the ones I tried ranged from very good to terrific. I am looking forward to seeing how they progress, I expect good things from them as they find their footing. read more

I've been coming to Lore since they opened. Their beers are REALLY GOOD, specially the Mermaid Farts seltzers(all flavors). To my surprise today, I tried coming with a pizza slice from the pizza place three doors down and I was told I can't be here with outside food, not even sitting outside at 34 degrees. We used to be able to come and sit with food from outside when they opened. I understand they are selling food now but being practically kicked out because we had outside food is just a no. I still love their beers, specially their seltzers, but this was just like, no accommodation for customer who've been coming since they first started. The bartender today also had a nasty attitude and I rather just either get the beers in growlers to go or just find another place. I love the beer here. They have such fun names for their beer and they have a wide variety. Their trivia nights are fun and music bingo nights are a blast as well. Staff is friendly. I have no clue why there are only 3 1/2 stars here. The place is bright and open inside with outdoor seating. Bar personnel are friendly with a slight sarcastic streak. Excellent music. Beer is da bomb. Little Red's reaper is a smoky, smooth red that may be the best of that genre I've ever sampled. It won plaudits from my friends as well. My husband is as an easy guy to please. He generally likes everyone. He comes here often to pick up some of the beers that he likes. Every single time he comes home he says the same thing, the owner and the severs are not nice. Everyone has a chip on their shoulder. The first few times he kept writing it off as just a bad day but we have been coming since the day you opened and it hasn't changed. The owner is just not nice so it makes sense the staff wouldn't be either. The vibe is weird. I've had a friend stop by there on the way to my home and he said the same thing. Stopped by just to check it out. The bartender was friendly and the owner/brew master also spent some time making sure we were happy. They offer several IPA's and a great porter along with a couple other options. They don't have a kitchen as yet but there's a menu for a restaurant next door (they'll bring the food to you) that had a lot of really interesting items. We didn't eat but the beer is good, the menu looked inviting and we felt at home there so we plan to return soon. After we try the food from next door I'll write an update.
