Been coming here quite a bit for takeout, but I didn't want to write a review until I actually had properly had sitdown experience here. Usual order these days is a double Shackburger with a lettuce wrap, although sometimes I do indulge and get the fries as the fries are always crispy and tasty. In all the times that I have been here, the food is always consistent. The meat is always juicy here! Service has consistently been good every time I come here. Parking situation is a bit rough as they have a very small parking lot, but they also have additional parking behind it. Still, it can get very busy. First time trying this Shake Shack location in Pasadena. Had no idea there was one here. I was hesitant to come here since the ratings on this location was low. I went anyways, maybe it will be ok. Nope, it was a subpar experience. I ordered online and came on time to pick-up. There is a parking lot in this location, but good luck finding a spot. It's so busy, packed and crowded both inside and out. There's a lot of people waiting in the lobby and so many diners as well. The parking lot is very small and hard to maneuver through. You'll know what I mean once you drive in. I ordered for indoor pick-up. I wait in line behind everyone else. Then it's my turn. They just ignore me as if I was not there. Well hello! I'm standing right here in front of you. Too bad all the names on these orders are turned around so you can't see who they are for. I don't want to touch every order looking for mine. Finally I get my order, after they finally "see" me. My order was there just sitting there on the shelf. Service needs to be better here. Also you forgot all my ranch that I ordered! I ordered through their kiosk, which had 2 on the side of the counter, and I used the right side, placed my order and tried to pay but the card reader wasn't functioning. The burger was small, like the same size as McDonald's regular hamburger, and the taste was nothing special. The fries were deceivingly small and drink was avg. One of the workers then approached me while eating and asked if everything tasted good. I replied, nothing special. Then the worker asked if I needed more sauce. I said no. I continued to eat and wondered if I would be able to get a refill for my drink and then the manager approached me and said, I noticed you said that the meal tasted like nothing special, is there anything we can do for you? I told him, seriously the burger was the size of a McDonald's regular hamburger and you charged $10.99 for this?! The manager continued by offering some kind of card, which I didn't even look at and tells me I could use this card the next time I visit. I refused and said, there's no way I'm ever coming to shake shack again for this portion size and for the price I paid for this meal, $21+ the manager then offered to refund the meal and I was so angry that I just waived him off, I did eat the meal, but said that I'm not coming here ever again. Seriously, for what I paid is definitely not worth what shake shack gives to the consumer. I get that inflation happens, but the portion size and quality isn't close to the price being charged. I love shack shake' hamburger. A recent visit with friends. We are all disappointed. The meat tastes not good as before. The cashier lady took the order wrong , gave me a hamburger without lettuce and tomato insisted that it was my mistake. Then gave me some lettuce and tomato to let me put in the hamburger myself. I'm giving a review on the black lady that cooked my burgers and experience today I ordered 3 burgers and all three were skimped with sauce. I could barely taste the truffle sauce in my burgers I had to ask for extra twice. When I order food from here it's always on point this is the first time I've had to deal with this. If I'm paying g $50 to come eat here I expect my food to look like the picture when I comes. Maybe you need to train your cooks to properly cook your burgers here. It no wonder you have a 3 star rating. Whoever is the manager should really be questioned because I've had better experiences at other shake shack locations. Haven't had Shake Shack in forever so stopped by to dine in. Ordered the shack burger and shared the cheese fries and chicken bites. I forgot how good the burger is here. The smashed patties and the steamed potato bun were a nice contrast to In-n-Out. The cheese fries were good, until the cheese hardened and got cold. The only thing that I appreciate from Shake shack is their Shroom Burger. Yes it is quite pricey but you can't really find a mushroom burger at any burger place. Ordered the Black Truffle Burger, ShackBurger, SmokeShack, fries, and a vanilla shake. This was a pickup order and I arrived right on time, my order was ready at the pick up shelf. It may be due to the order being a pickup order instead of ordering at the counter that they did not resemble the more flattering images in their advertising, especially at the elevated premiumness of this fast food chain. Across each of these burgers, the angus beef is tasty if a little thinner and flattened to beyond the edges of the bun than I expected. And the choice of using a potato bun was great, creating a different mildly sweet bread to hold the burger together. The Black Truffle Burger does have a nice gruyere cheese and lovely truffle sauce, though just a bit disappointed the crispy sweet onions seemed quite sparse. The ShackBurger was a great take on the classic cheeseburger style. This is a great easy choice however my order was disappointing because the bun came up short, literally. The bottom bun seemed to be missing 30% of it, please see the attached photo, and I hope they do better during any QC of making sure the bottom bun is a complete bottom bun. The SmokeShack burger is great for bacon lovers, this bacon was done well and the chopped cherry peppers were barely spicy, only accentuating how good the rest of this burger was. The crinkle cut style french fries here were definitely something to add to your order, good texture and consistency and a nice light crunch to these. And of course, it's in their name, the Vanilla Shake was creamy, nice and light to drink, the taste of real vanilla in here is very pleasant and would be a great starter to their line of shakes. Ultimately, I'd like to revisit this location and try a sit-down experience or at least order at the counter. I think it was great but perhaps my order happened to luck out this once. The pricing is a little on the higher end for fast food but based on their use of ingredients, it's justified. Employees were really kind and quick to get me in and out during their lunch rush. Interior looks really modern and clean, medium foot traffic.There is plenty of parking behind in their parking lot but it might be tighter for bigger cars. read more

I love Shake Shack, definitely a favorite of mine! I first had them in Las Vegas probably over eight years ago and I haven't stopped thinking about them since. Over the years they've expanded to California so I really appreciate that. I am an Orange County, California native so yes I love In-N-Out but I love Shake Shack just as much, if not more! I know people complain about the high prices but I do think it's better quality so I can see why, take all my money, I will still eat here! I would go out of my way to eat here. My favorites are the ShackBurger and Chicken Shack. I love their burgers, love the potato bun and how their patty is almost like a smash burger. I don't feel like people talk about the Chicken Shack enough, my favorite chicken sandwich. I've had the ones from Chick-fil-A and Popeyes, still think the one here is the best. I also love their Fries and Shakes. Still need to try their Custard and Hot Dogs but I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. They have a small free parking lot so I don't have too many issues with parking here or you can park on the street. Service is quick and friendly, there's indoor and outdoor seating. They have kiosks so you can order from there too, especially if you don't feel like talking to anyone to take your order haha. Reviewing for the Hot Ones x Shake Shack collab - their burger and chicken sandwich. Burger was okay - patty wasn't seasoned, but has that charbroiled flavor. The classic + last dab Apollo + shack sauce combination does pack a bit of heat after a few bites but it's not overwhelming. I've had the Last Dab Apollo by itself and my mouth was on fire for a good 20 mins. after, but this sauce was not as bad. The Hot Ones chicken sandwich was the star - everything just married well together and the collab sauce paired a lot better. Cheese fries were decent, for crinkle cut fries these might be my favorite spot since they were actually crispy and not soggy. Might skip the bacon and cheese in the future because they're a bit over-priced. Will be sad to see the Hot Ones chicken sandwich go after this month, hopefully they can make it into a permanent menu item or at least bring it back seasonally/on occasion! Restrooms were clean. They recently debuted a white truffle cheeseburger with white truffle sauce. My wife ordered the white truffle cheeseburger, whereas I ordered the Shackburger and also a side of fries. The Shackburger is an obvious Shake Shack classic. The patty is well seasoned and quite tasty. I love the potato bun that is "closed" on one end to prevent leakage of ingredients and sauce. The white truffle cheeseburger was creamy and delicious, but very rich. A bit too rich for me to eat an entire sandwich of, but I still enjoyed it. I happen to love their 'Shroom Burger. I am not a vegetarian, but I am a mushroom lover. If you like mushrooms, the 'Shroom Burger is a definite must try. Try to order for take out/pick up here if you can, dining in takes so much time! My dining in experience here wasn't great since this location seems to be very focused on take out orders. There's no directions when you enter for dining in if it's your first time here. There were no workers at the cashiers but there are screens you can order from. At that point, it would've been quicker to order ahead for pick up. It's not very clear that you're supposed to grab a number for your table either. It seems like there's a lot of confusion at this location because I ended up waiting for such a long time- saw people who arrived after us place their orders and got their orders before us... not that our order was complicated at all. We had to go up to the cashier to check in on our order and it finally seemed like they were working on it. All they could say was sorry about the wait when the food finally came out. The food was as expected but by then, I would've eaten anything! Not sure if I'd be coming back, especially when their very small parking lot is likely packed. read more
