This review is solely about the shaxian wonton, which for a lot of people might not know, shaxian wonton has its own different texture that's a little bouncy texture like meat balls but also very small and when you boils it expands, it's the way they make the purée meat inside. Grew up an hour away from sha xian, this is NOT authentic sha xian flavor at all. The wonton is just like the regular one and the fillings are also small. I didn't try the other food on the menu so I wouldn't give a all negative reviews.

First time we eat here. Good service , food is good. We will come back for sure with friends.

Delicious and healthy! Mad love it! You can never find anywhere else for this kind of rice noodles with beef in Flushing! Highly recommend!

Ordered the brisket over rice to go. Food came fast and the sauce was decent. Wasn't spicy and had solid flavor.

Big meaty noodle dish (pretty mild - I'll ask for spice next time) good meat to noodle ratio and $8 to boot

Arirang is my go-to cozy, no-frills spot that never disappoints. The staff is always so warm and…read morefriendly. The banchan is simple (kimchi and radish kimchi), but that radish kimchi? Obsessed. It's perfectly crisp and tangy, and pairs so well with the noodles. I always order the chicken knife-cut noodles, they're comforting, flavorful, and absolutely hit the spot, especially on a cold day. My daughter tried the kimchi seafood noodles, and that was a total win too. I've been coming here for years, and it's been consistently good every single time. A true comfort spot

We were craving some Korean comfort food, and came across Arirang. Ordered seafood noodles ($18.99)…read more(kalguksu) and seafood pancake ($19.99). I was told that the noodles are homemade, and the texture was chewy but not overly soft. If you get the order to-go, you best eat it ASAP because they do not separate the noodles from the broth. The bowl was filled with a bunch of clams, mussels, one shrimp, zucchini and carrot slices, and potatoes. The clams were flavorless and a little sandy, but the mussels were good. The broth was clear and flavorful, but not overly salty. The seafood pancake was good. Portion size is big, batter very crispy, it's oily but it doesn't feel that way when you eat it. Only con is I wish there was a little more seafood. You are given banchan of freshly fermented kimchi and radish kimchi. I prefer fermented pungent kimchi because I enjoy the sour taste, and though the radish kimchi was really chunky it was on the sweet side, so I wasn't a fan. The staff speaks Korean and Chinese.

You know a restaurant is going to be good when they only serve one thing on the menu. This is a…read moresmall mom-and-pop shop, so IYKYK! Their specialty is beef & cabbage soup with rice, served with a side of omelette and kimchi radish (banchan). It's simple, but packed with bold flavors. I went with the spicy option, which was still pretty mild, but incredibly flavorful and comforting. The beef was super tender, and the soup also came with glass noodles, which was a nice touch. Nothing fancy, just really good, comforting food done right. Definitely recommend!

CASH ONLY! Finally…read moremade it here (a quick 15min bus ride from Main St.). The restaurant is definitely "homey" and "rustic" and transports me back to places in rural Asia - you can imagine the 15 years of bone broth seeped into the walls. There's only a few tables with proper chairs, and the larger ones have benches - without back support FYI. Appreciate businesses that specialize and are known for one dish, makes discovering new cuisines and overwhelming ordering easier. The dish they serve is a Super mild, comforting, beef soup. There's bits of shredded beef and potato starch noodles at the bottom of the hot stone pot, but otherwise be prepared and be comfortable with picking off meat from the large bone included in the soup. The soup comes out, bubbling, hot, didn't realize that I burned my tongue until an hour later. Be warned! The complimentary ban chan (& yes! You can ask for refills, also refills of rice) included cubed radish, a plate of thinly sliced Korean green peppers. (I learned that you eat this on your own and you dip it in the accompanying soybean sauce as a pallet cleanser), and a soft salted egg omelette. You get a packet of Gim (Korean roasted, seasoned seaweed). How to eat: get a spoonful of rice, dip it in the soup. Or make a "kimbap" with the gim, rice, omlette, pepper. Can also dip that bite into the soup before eating it. Chase with a piece of radish kimchee. Eat some more soup/beef/noodle. I got the spicy version, but friend always gets the plain version - even though they eat very spicy. It makes sense because you want to taste the quality and cleanliness of the soup. The spicy version wasn't too spicy - like a mild Thai spice. The total price now these days (9/2026) is $20 ($18.99 on the sign, but assuming they round up with tax). Ate there on a Thursday, early dinner. There was a steady stream of to-go orders, and consistent 4/5 tables filled. A mix of families (also have a rice + gim plate for kids!), solo diners, young adults. Mostly Korean, Korean - American, Chinese, and Chinese - American. Surprisingly the staff & servers were all Latina, I'm not mad about that. Korean owner/manager popped in later with produce.

Cuisine: 5 Service: 5…read moreDecor: 7 Value: 7 Overall: 6 The short answer? The food is alright. The service is average too. I came here a few times because they have a precious parking lot. However, I wish they could improve upon their food a tad. The namesake tofu stews all lack depth of flavor and the quality of tofu feels underwhelming. Their accompanying steamed white rice also tastes too firm and not glutinous enough. Together, this restaurant does not make a better soondubu than most of the Korean restaurants around, even though they should specialize in it. Also, they don't offer much in terms of banchans, which seems like a common trend in many Korean restaurants. On the other hand, I would say that their Grilled Mackerel and Grilled LA Galbi is decent. Not good enough that I would go here for those dishes because I have many options for those items. I come for the soondubu and sadly I have given it enough opportunities to impress.

Very comfortable space to dine as a family of four and if you are a larger group, they have a great space on the side for larger parties. The bahn chan was delicious, especially the egg. Tofu was soft and good flavor in the plain broth. Grilled mackerel was delicious. Few places make it less salty without asking and theirs was spot on! Bibimbap had good flavor without needing to add the sauce. Enjoyable meal. Would definitely come back.
