SEVEN GRAMS @ TUSTIN The food here was SUPER yummy and authentic! We joined the waitlist on yelp and after we got ordered, the food came out pretty fast! I just wish they remembered our water, since we had to remind twice. Overall 5/5!

We recently dined at Seven Grams. We had: Beef rolls: very good. Potatoes strings with shrimp: very good. Pig ears: I didn't try it but my sister loved it. Not my kind of food. :) Spicy pork paste over noodles: very good. Ham fried rice: good. Golden Prime beef noodles soup: very spicy and tasty. Southeast Asian Seafood Noodles Soup: very good, with a hint of basil, lime, and some chili pepper. Several types of xiao long bao: good. Definitely a must return since everything was delicious. We all enjoyed it!

10/10 Crab XLB - Love these! They're so juicy and bursting with flavor. They add some corn on the outside which is a funny addition lol but no complaints here! 10/10 Wonton W/ Chili Sauce - This is one of my favorites here. The chili sauce is great and it's literally not spicy at all. 10/10 Scallion Pancake - My favorite thing to get here! It's super crunchy. I do feel like it's missing a dipping sauce so I just made my own with the sauces already on the table. 10/10 Pan Fried Dumplings - Probably my least favorite out of the four items. They're pretty basic and generic as far as dumplings go but still good. Cost - Crab XLB $11.00, Scallion Pancake $6.00, Wonton W/ Chili Sauce $9.00, Pan Fried Dumplings $13.50.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Seven Grams lately, and finally decided to try it. On a Saturday, even at around 7:45 there was a good half hour wait. But there is plenty to do in the plaza to keep you busy so that was okay. The restaurant is def on the smaller side, and their menu seemed quite small too. I've heard a lot of people compare them to DTF, so - had to try their XLB. Hubby and I ordered - Pork pan fried dumplings, Pork XLB, Mapo Tofu, Beef Roll, and their Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup. Everything was delicious! XLB was flavorful and juicy, Mapo Tofu had that nice numbing spice, beef roll was super tasty, pan fried dumplings were good - my only complaint was that I wish the bottoms would have stayed crispy as they kind of softened, though they still retained good flavor - and gotta save the best for last - the beef noodle soup. The noodles alone were very flavorful - and the soup had a lot of spice, but it was SO tasty. I almost didn't order it because we had so much food already, but I'm so glad we decided to get it. I understand why there's always a line out the door now, and I'll say it's def worth the hype. If you haven't checked this place out yet, please do! I know we'll be coming back for more!

It's always a pleasure to be in Orange County...and when you are. This place is a must for some yummy dumplings, beef noodle soup and the beef wraps...and unfortunately, those dishes were are before I could snap that picture...next time Yelpers. You know how it is sometimes.... The customer service here has always been tip top. Great seating and location. You have bar seating and table seating which gives you an option on how you want to consume your dumplings. Do not past up these place. Dumplings down, this place is delicious... Thank you 7G's. I will be back again and again...

The restaurant is quite busy but was seated really quick. The table for two is a little small but maybe the order was just too big. Food was really good and definitely deserved a revisit.

Amazing and reasonably priced Chinese food! The XLB were delicious and came out pipping hot in the steamers. The spicy pork over noodles was one of my personal favorites--reminded me of noodles from Sichuan! Absolutely loved this place and will definitely be returning

Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup

I literally come here just to eat the Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup. A little different than your typical beef noodle soup. There are mustard greens in there (which I love!). But if you don't like that taste, I would not recommend it. It can be a bit spicy, so I usually just ask them to put the chili on the side. I've also had some of their other dishes, such as beef wrap, XLB, wontons in chili sauces, and tomato beef soup. All relatively good. But as I mentioned, I literally just come here to eat the golden prime beef noodle soup. I've had this dish at a few other restaurants, and it just doesn't compare to this place.

Food****// this place offers variety of foods from xlb to Thai style noodle soup. Make sure to get their fried rice and drinks - no boba but packed with tea aroma. Service****// usually pretty good where they set tables really quick and constantly check in on ordering and waters. They could check in on the food that'd make it even better. Ambiance****// modern with some bar area and many tables which can sit families. But big party might need to call ahead so you don't wait for long time

Ham Fried Rice

A great spot for dumplings in the Tustin area. They use a Yelp waitlist that you are sometimes only able to access from their screen at the restaurant. It's a very popular spot so I would recommend getting there early to get a spot on the list. There's plenty of parking in the plaza. Their seating is all indoors with some high top and some regular tables. The service is very quick and the staff are friendly. We had a person in our group with a food allergy and they helped make sure that we didn't order anything that could cause a reaction. The food comes out fairly quickly and everything is delicious. The pan fried dumplings were my favorite this time around. I also really love their beef rolls and potato string shrimp. They give you a good amount of food for the price. Everything that they have is very good and it's good to go with a bigger group so you can try more dishes.

Great food at suburban SoCal prices. Had the xiao long bao and Cold Noodles With Chili Oil Dressing. Would definitely come back if I was in the area. Friendly service. Cute interior.

Cheese chicken roll

I ordered to to and got the ham fried rice, potato string shrimp and cheese chicken roll. I went around 2pm to pick up my food and the place was so packed I could barely get in the door. There were people waiting to be seated but they were well staffed. I didn't have to wait long for someone to ask what I needed and give me my food. The ham fried rice smelled really good and is very filling. It is sprinkled with some sesame seeds and green onion and has a very nice presentation, even in a to go box. The potato string shrimp was also visually appealing. It was slightly crunchy due to the potato string which appeared to be fried, but it tasted a bit bland. I enjoy it's uniqueness and it's fun to eat. The cheese chicken roll was very greasy. It wasn't quite what I expected. It looked like some cheese was melted inside but I didn't taste much of it. The chicken inside is fried and has a nice crunch though. They provided some chilli oil sauce which goes nicely with everything. Overall, it is a decent place to get some Taiwanese-like snacks.

First time to come here for lunch. The wait was shorter being a weekday, and lunch. Service is still good. Place nice and clean, but small for the demand, especially on weekends /dinner. I know we've always enjoyed this place the few times we've been here and I've been reminded again! We love everything that we ordered! We got the spicy xiao long bao which is flavorful and delish, the spicy wonton which I cannot get enough of, especially its sauce. We of course got the cucumber salad too, refreshing and yummy! I can't remember if this is the first time I've tried their sesame balls, but I was surprised how delicious they were, that most likely it's the first time. They're smaller, but it only means there's not much glutinous rice flour and enough filling! Just writing this review makes my mouth water. I can't wait to go back!

Dog allowed ? Saw it on the feature but never see any dogs inside

Service dogs yes, but I don't think dogs would be very comfortable in the restaurant. It's usually very busy and cramped.

When is Dim Sum served?

They only have dumplings, noodles, beef roll, and side dishes...no dim sum. They open from M-Sat:11-9:30pm & Sunday: 11-9pm

Do the scallion pancakes contain egg?

I don't think they have egg. Not completely sure, but traditional scallion pancake is usually just flour, scallion, salt, water, oil

Is there wifi?

No, there is not.

Is there a wine list?

鬼佬! 去食小籠包喇,飲乜鬼酒呀!飲酒去酒吧啦

Can they accommodate for a gluten allergy?

應該唔可以

Leaving this review after an almost bad experience to help the restaurant or anyone else that may…read morehave eaten here today. 5 stars for fixing the problem immediately for us. We've been here several times before and what keeps us coming back is the quality of the food. Today, they had a new chef cook our food and it was terrible. Green beans were extremely sour (way way too much vinegar). Mapo Tofu had a ton of oil but not enough sauce, so it was just flavorless except the oil. The fried pork chop was over fried where some pieces you can't even bite through. The rice had too much water in it and was mushy. I rarely return food but this time it was so bad we had to let them know. We returned all of our dishes back to them. They let us know there was a new chef today, and they would remake all the dishes for us with the original chef. The replacement dishes were just as good as all our previous visits and it was excellent again! So thanks to the staff for fixing the problem. I'm not sure if they are training a new chef to take over, or as a backup, but they need to be careful as serving bad quality food like that would drive most people to never come back. We knew the food was good from prior experience, so we knew we could ask why the food quality changed. For first time customers, or those that may have ordered to go - if you had bad food today, it may have been a fluke due to the new chef. Service however was a amazing as usual. For all our visits including today, the staff has been kind and always looking for ways to help out and make sure we were having a good experience. So besides the food being good, I would say excellent service is also huge plus here. Don't be fooled with the automated ordering and robot delivering the food into thinking there is no service. The people behind the counter are awesome! Hope management takes care of this new chef issue quickly since their food quality is the main reason people come here. There was a night and day difference between the original food we got today, and the replacement!

Modern Chinese, Ancient Disappointment…read more EverSpring looks great, sounds great, and is priced like it plans to deliver something memorable. Unfortunately, what I'll remember most is how quickly my excitement turned into polite disappointment. The salt and pepper pork chops were...bold. And by bold I mean shockingly salty, like the chef was trying to preserve them for winter. I've had salt and pepper chops more times than I can count, and this version tasted nothing like any of them. Overcooked, oddly flavored, and just completely off. If this was a creative interpretation, creativity may have gone a step too far. Then there was the crispy beef. I say this with sincerity: it was inedible. Not "I'm picky" inedible--burned-breading-that-tastes-like-toasted-mistakes inedible. Each bite delivered a charming note of scorched regret, like someone deep-fried a crouton and called it a day. I stopped eating not because I was full, but because my taste buds filed an HR complaint. And look, if this were cheap comfort food, I'd shrug it off. But this is sit-up-straight-when-the-bill-arrives pricing. For what we paid, I expected at least one dish to make me say, "Okay, this works." That moment never came. The concept is solid, but the food just didn't deliver. I wanted to love it. My taste buds, however, requested an early exit. Everything went to the trash can. Never again.

I found several options, but some were out of my budget and others didn't have great reviews. I came across KPB and spoke with Jerry, who was incredibly helpful and honest. He gave great advice on how much food to order for a group of 18 people. I originally planned to order four party trays (fried rice and three entrées), but he suggested that three trays would be enough. He was also very accommodating and gave me until the morning of the event to finalize my order. I ended up ordering Mongolian beef, Kung Pao chicken, and Young Chow fried rice. Everyone really enjoyed the food, and we even had some leftovers that we were able to enjoy the next day. The food was delicious, the pricing was reasonable, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended--Jerry truly made the catering experience smooth and stress-free!

What makes it work is not just the food itself, but the atmosphere surrounding it. The high ceilings lobby, restrained interior design, dim lighting, and measured pacing create a dining environment that feels unusually compatible with mature Bordeaux and fine wine service. Unlike the bright, noisy banquet-style energy found in many traditional Chinese restaurants, Chang'An gives wine room to breathe, both literally and figuratively, that distinction matters more than many people realize. The cuisine here carries enough depth, fat, smoke, sweetness, spice, and umami to stand beside structured wines like Bordeaux, yet the dining room remains calm and elegant enough to actually focus on what is happening in the glass. At many Chinese restaurants, great wine can feel disconnected from the environment. Here, the pairing feels intentional. The roast duck was excellent, but what stayed with me most was how naturally wines like Haut-Brion, Le Pin, and Mouton integrated into the experience. The duck fat softened tannins, the smoky aromatics echoed mature Bordeaux tertiary notes, and the refined atmosphere made the entire dinner feel closer to a Parisian fine dining experience interpreted through Chinese culinary tradition. Chang'An does not simply serve food dramatic enough for wine pairing. It creates a space where wine pairing actually makes sense.

They had that lighter, slightly chewy texture that stands out compared to the usual. On a random weekday they had a good crowd for lunch, mostly office types from the surrounding buildings. It wasn't hard to get a table, but the food did take a bit longer than expected to come out. Pricewise you aren't looking at a bargain, but it's not unreasonable. I imagine parking might be difficult if it is more crowded as there are a limited number of spots in the parking lot and it has a funky one-way design. Overall this is a decent lunch spot if you're nearby and something different from the norm. Four solid stars.

It's about time I reviewed them! My number one dish goes to the minced pork rice- it's a pretty simple dish, but it's sooo good here for some reason. I've ordered this dish at other Taiwanese restaurants and nothing compares to the one at A&J- the pork is always SO flavorful, never dry and enough to coat all the rice, the egg is perfection, and all the little garnishes compliment the dish so well. It's also just as amazing takeout which I always appreciate. Other go-tos are the spicy beef noodle soup- the beef in it is always so tender and I love getting the thick noodle option because of the rough texture it adds. This has long been our go-to for Taiwanese comfort food, and while the flavors weren't always 100% authentic, they hit the spot. However, our recent visits have been disappointing. The restaurant has become incredibly "penny-pinching" with their service. I was recently told there would be a $1 charge just for a sprinkle of scallions and another $1 for a small side of clear broth for my dry noodles--requests that were never an issue before. Furthermore, when we ordered extra noodles for my son's beef noodle soup, the original portion seemed intentionally smaller, defeating the purpose of paying for the add-on. Between the degraded service and the "nickel-and-diming" atmosphere, it is no longer worth the 30-minute drive. The vibe has changed, and the pleasure of dining here is gone.
