I picked up a used car with a push button ignition but it only came with one key fob. Called around to other locksmith places and they all said call the dealership. Dealership was pricey. I managed to reach Alex - he gave me a price less than the dealership, all done on site without having to leave work. No questions asked - Fast, professional, friendly. 6-month warranty as long as I don't drop the fob into the toilet. In all honesty I could have called around finding somebody $40 cheaper but when you factor in expense of travel time to visit your shop,dealing with the appointment calendar, and how appointments generally never run on schedule... These guys were great. I wanted to replace an integrated single piece deadbolt and handleset with a Schlage smart lock and separate handleset. I had shopped around for bids with both locksmiths and contractors. Sevan came in with the most competitive bid. George K., responded to my request for a quote within minutes. 2 hours later, he was here to cut and program 2 key fobs I purchased from Amazon. All went well with the cutting until we hit programming. One worked and the other didn't. George quickly realized I bought aftermarket fobs with a frequency that typically doesn't work. But why would one? George took the time to call his vendor and try one last thing. I had too many keys programmed to the car. He erased all keys that were programmed to the car and then started over with the 2 new key fabs and reprogramed my standard key with just a chip. He could have very easily said, " No, wrong key fobs, sorry. That'll still cost the same". Instead, he took more time than he needed to and made it all 3 keys work. After suffering a robbery, we needed to replace one of our sets of Prius keys. Since one set of keys was in the hands of a "bad guy" (and with it a wallet which may have contained our home address), we wanted to have the electronic key's frequency altered as well, so as to make the lost key unusable. When we looked into having the change made and the key replaced through the Toyota dealership, we were blown away and discouraged by the huge costs. My husband found Sevan Locks here on Yelp and our experience with the company was fantastic. It was fast and easy to get a quote for the work, and to schedule the service, and George was really pleasant to work with (we did have to have him visit twice, since apparently our car had an uncommon and specific key, which he quickly ordered and delivered at the next visit; the cost of service remained unchanged despite the two "house calls"). 3/30/2015 I called the 800 number for a locksmith. They said a technician would call me within 30 mins.. 15 mins later the tech. called said he would be at my place in 30 mins. The tech arrived in 15 mins. He understood what I needed and wit5hin 30 mins. he cut a new key and re-programed my car for the new key.. He tested and retested all the spots that required a key..
