I am still in shock, in the best way possible. My garage door wouldn't close on sunny days and I assumed my sensors were old and needed replacing. I replaced the sender side myself, but the receiver side had a bolt that was completely stuck. I got a quote from a handyman for $400 and a second quote from a garage repair service for $350. I was hesitant to commit to either. Then Guy told me it was an easy fix, a five minute job, and he would do it free of charge. Just for the positive brand awareness. I honestly could not believe it. He said he would be at my house within an hour. Every word was true. He arrived in less than an hour, ready to work. What I have to share is that the job was far from simple. The nut was corroded and fused to the bolt. We tried impact drivers. We etched grooves for flathead and Phillips screwdrivers to get more torque. Nothing worked. Guy ended up removing the entire railing and used a Dremel to cut the bolt out. Sparks were literally flying as we cut through metal together. After getting everything cleared, Guy had a brilliant idea. He reversed the position of the sender and receiver so the signal unit would no longer sit at the angle of the sun and distort the signal. He swapped the units, reinstalled every component, and tested everything until it all worked perfectly. What was supposed to be a five minute job turned into over an hour of dedicated, problem solving work. Through all of it, Guy never once mentioned payment. He would not accept a single dollar from me. In a world where it is easy to feel skeptical, Guy reminded me that honest, sincere, and genuinely skilled people still exist. His integrity, his expertise, and his generosity left a lasting impression on me and my family. I will be referring his company to every single person in my network. Thank you, Guy. Truly and sincerely, thank you. read more

After sending specs and a pic of the door, requesting a spring replacement, an appointment was made and I put other offers on hold. When tech arrived he said they didn't work on these old doors anymore and just replace them. Waste of my time and his. Update: The type of door (tilt-up) and the requested service (spring repair/replacement) were in the original request for quotes. Two other firms responded saying that they didn't work on those doors/didn't have parts to fix them. You didn't, so I assumed you were coming to estimate the cost of repair to a tilt-up door. I provided the picture later, yes, but only as supplemental info. The type of door and requested service was in the yelp request. read more

Had a great experience with E.S Garage Doors. I reached out on Yelp and they responded incredibly fast -- they were able to come out in less than an hour. Avi was the technician who handled everything, and he did an excellent job. He replaced the broken torsion spring quickly and professionally, and also recommended adding a strut reinforcement, which made a lot of sense and gave me extra peace of mind. Super efficient, knowledgeable, and no hassle -- especially on such short notice. Definitely recommend if you need fast and reliable garage door service. read more

Fast work replacing our 2 springs. As with all things home repair, homeowners are best off negotiating to get a fair price. After revising their price, it seemed fair. read more

I used the Yelp quote request feature that automatically sent my request to multiple garage door companies, one of them was E.S Garage Doors Inc. Many years ago, when our garage door got a broken spring, I used a contractor who was highly recommended by my neighbors, but I felt being taken advantages as the bill was ridiculously high. Normally garage door repair is a very time sensitive project, so it's hard to take time to negotiate or select a good contractor. For that reason, I used Yelp request feature to get a quote upfront from different contractors. E.S Garage Doors responded quickly and gave me a formula how they calculated their price so that I could have an idea how much it would be. The price they provided seemed reasonable, so I decided to go forward. Within an hour, Daniel of Advanced Garage Door showed up at our door. I am still not sure how E.S. and Advanced are connected, but it looks like other reviewers also mentioned that they had used Advanced or AGD on the page of E.S. Garage Doors, so I guess maybe they are in the same group. As soon as Daniel arrived, he checked the garage door springs and gave me a final price. Upon my approval, Daniel started to work. He was very polite and careful. We still had our car in the garage at that time, and he was very careful when he worked close to our car to make sure that he wouldn't cause any damage on it. It took him near an hour to complete the job. Daniel also found other non-urgent issues on my garage door and the opener. He explained the potential issues and recommended some repairs, but he didn't push me to do right away as he also admitted those issues were not urgent. I will keep those issues in mind to include in my future projects. For the pricing, Daniel was willing to work with me to come up with a good price. The craftsmanship and the materials all came with warranties, so if I later have any issues, I could just call them to fix it for me. I am very happy with E.D/Advanced Garage Doors, and I will definitely call them again for my garage door. read more

Our spring broke on a late Sunday afternoon. I appreciate how fast this company reached out to help. Within minutes, they were offering to give a free consult. There's some touches I didnt believe...such as they happened to have a truck in my city, just 10 minutes away. Felt like unnecessary high pressure . Was also contacted by other companies so I had a few chats going, but went with them. 30 min later, Zach arrived. He was nice, said it could take a while to fix bc we had our garage/springs painted. He estimated at least an hour or two, turned out it went much faster and the paint was not an issue. Liked that he had parts on hand to complete the fix. We picked the first package of 26,000 uses for $450. Liked that within hours, our spring was fixed. Company is responsive and Zach was nice and efficient. Didn't like the oil spill their truck left in our driveway. They offered to come out the next day to power wash it but we handled it ourselves. read more

They are professional and fast. My torsion spring was broken. They replaced both. I am pretty happy about their work.

Our double garage spring snapped, I contacted and they responded quickly and come to my house next day. Our car was stuck inside so that's really helpful. got the job done quickly and with good quality. Pricing was reasonable and answered my questions about some basic garage door maintenance. Will definitely use them in the future. read more

easy set up, good price, and was able to complete the project quickly. Overall no complaints on the service received.

Fast, fair price and professional. We had a torsion spring that broke. I put in a quote request, got a quote and repair on the spot.

Massive shout out to Benjamin who called immediately when we requested an appointment on Yelp (amazing feature, especially on a Sunday!), showed up sooner than he anticipated, and fixed our broken garage door by himself in an hour flat. Super appreciative of his kindness in showing us all the things he fixed and how to maintain the ball bearings. Added before and after pics so you could see what the problem was (garage door off tracks, and a broken track to boot!) and how well he fixed it. Thanks Benjamin! read more

Something broke on my garage door opener, so I called up this company, they answered right away and was able to come to my home in less than an hour. He offered up the solutions after the diagnosis, and was able to complete the work right then and there. I appreciate they had all the parts, he was very clear, and Avi was great. read more

Dishonest. Gave me a quote for $299, then magically reduced it to $150 when I didn't bite...when all that was needed was to re-engage the emergency pull cord (thank you YouTube). He then tried to sell me on a whole bunch of other crap I didn't need. Glad I went with my gut and didn't hire this guy. ETA: the business owner is now harassing me and calling my cell phone repeatedly from multiple different numbers. Absolutely psychotic behavior, stay away. read more

Actual work was contracted out to another company, with that said the experience was easy, they contacted me within minutes of the job being posted, the contractor gave me a variety of prices based on spring quality and warranty. No push or hard sale. Did the work in under an hour and even fixed or broken weather seal while he was at it. Quite happy with the experience overall. read more

E.s (apparently Advanced Garage Doors) replace my 2x garage door torsion springs after one of them broke. Zach was great and answered all of my questions with grace and patience. To be aware of: there are 3 levels of springs w/different duty cycle / durability ratings and, as a result, different warranties. I went for the lowest price, which was rated for 25,000 cycles with a warranty of 1 year parts and 90 days labor. Given the warranty, I'm not sure I trust the 25,000 cycle rating -- which is ~ 16 years udner a 2x per day opening/closing situation -- but I also expect the current 5-star avg. rating for this company speaks to the quality of springs they use. Time will tell, and I was OK with the gamble. The process: I chatted w/David from E.s via Yelp chat, had a free onsite consultation with Zach, and ended up having the work done during the consultation. Zach was very quick -- in and out, including consultation and payment, in ~ 45 minutes. read more

Great service - a technician came out within an hour of us requesting a quote. The quote he provided was reasonable; he correctly identified the issues with our door right away; and he ended up being able to fix the door on the spot because he had all of the materials in his truck. He didn't try to upsell us on anything and actually advised us to install the safety cable ourselves because it's pretty cheap to order on Amazon and DIY. We'll definitely use them again if we have any other issues with our door. read more

Timely, professional and solid warranty on parts. Very pleased with service and immediate repair.

Does ok job with the repair/replacement itself (replaced rail with torsion for both sides), but technician was not professional: 1. texted 30min before start time and said he was 30min out, but didn't show up until 1hr later. When he finally showed up he didn't even mention anything about it; 2. tried many times to overcharge us for work&price already agreed upon (e.g. wanted extra $300 for getting rid of replaced rails and old opener); 3. super aggressively calling afterwards when meeting for payment: I was 2 mins out exactly 2 mins before the agreed meeting time, and he called non-stop to ask where I was. Gets the job done but leaves a bad taste read more

Cool guy, had the best price and finished the job quickly same day and didn't do any sketchy high pressure sales. 10/10.

We had our garage door spring break late on a Sunday of a holiday weekend, sent out a message on Yelp, and honestly didn't expect to get any response for a couple of days. Actually ended up getting a reply from Dave within minutes, and was able to set up an appointment for a free estimate for the following day. Service technician Ben showed up promptly, gave us a fair price for repair (including a discount for replacing our other door spring), and was able to complete the repairs in under 2 hours. Overall would highly recommend, thank you Ben! read more
