When the problem persisted after our original service call, Dave came at no extra charge with Jeremy to re-wire my entire garage. Ultimately this didn't work either meaning our garage motor was shot (which we wouldn't have known if Dave didn't have the patience to try all the methods of fixing it and seeing if the problem persisted). We selected a reasonably priced commercial grade garage door replacement and had Jeremy install it in one hour. They even credited me the cost of my initial service call toward my new garage motor. Incredible customer relations showing how much they care. Now our new garage has all the bells and whistles with a camera and mobile app. We love it! The workmanship of the…read morefinished deck exceeded our expectations, and every person we encountered was pleasant to work with. Our project was the installation of an 8' x 11' elevated attached deck. I had whittled my initial list of contractors down to six before choosing All Decks. Cost was competitive but was not the lowest bid. This was the third deck in this location. The previous two were wood. This time we chose to have a composite deck installed, to not have a stairway, and to have the area underneath the deck protected from rain. As this was an elevated deck, it was covered by municipal code requirements more stringent than when the previous two decks were built. We worked with Adam during our initial contact, and in designing the deck. We chose Dekorator planking, Trex handrails, and the Trex RainEscape system. We wanted to minimize supporting posts, as a competing bid would have used 6 posts, and we had seen decks on houses like ours that had 5 to 6 posts. All Decks was able to use only 2 posts by having larger-size (6"x6") posts and by attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor. The All Decks showroom was extremely helpful in choosing materials and colors, and in evaluating the RainEscape system relative to alternative underdeck rain coverings. Kendall did thorough work when he visited to do the detailed yard survey required by code. The level of detail in the resulting documents was unexpected and illuminating. The three-man team led by Chris who put up the deck was professional and unobtrusive. A special challenge was attaching one side of the deck to our cantilevered 2nd floor as the current municipal code requires an exceptionally robust connection. Installing this connection required removing several plank-and-tongue grooves from under the overhang of the cantilevered 2nd floor, which is very difficult without causing damage. I was skeptical that it could be done and was pleasantly surprised to see the excellent appearance of the re-installed planking. (As expected, I repainted the reinstalled planks myself.) As for the steel-bar-reinforced concrete footings, Chris meticulously set their height so as to enable the potential future installation of a ground-level deck made from pavers. The gentleman who delivered and picked up materials and the portable toilet was discreet and careful. Crystle ensured smooth communications for scheduling, billing, etc. We are very satisfied with the All Decks team and their work.

They were affordable, knowledgeable, and very willing to work with my needs and my budget. They were able to obtain the permits that were needed which is an important and valuable service. They also took care of the structural engineering that was needed to make sure that we had sufficient support for the deck. Their showroom is very helpful. There are samples and some mockups of decks, railings, lighting, etc. There are lots of options and the staff was great about explaining the options but not pressure-upselling. I felt comfortable choosing the materials and extras with their help. After the project was finished, there was one support post that didn't look finished to me when I looked at it from our dining room window. All Decks was great about coming out. After seeing and understanding what I wanted to upgrade, they were able to install a matching trim piece that made the post look complete. The deck has been installed now since Oct 2024. It still looks great and I couldn't be happier.

Not only did they install a beautiful custom made railing on my interior stairs and the bridge that connects both sides of my upstairs, they also coordinated with their subcontractor, Prymych Home Services, to replace my carpeting with LVP flooring. City Bee ran both the railing and flooring projects so I had one quote, one contract and one project manager. Their price was very competitive, they did high quality work, and they finished in a timely manner. Oleksandr, the owner, project managed everything and made himself available all throughout the project. He was very responsive to all my questions and provided thorough answers so I could understand the technical aspects of the work. In an odd sort of way, it turned out my first choice wasn't my best choice!…read more I came across the listing and thought "OK - it's a little corny name, 'Those Tech Guys'" but honestly, if you hang around tech guys at all, you get it. I am far from a professional when it comes to IT installations, but I know enough to be dangerous. And after getting quotes to install ethernet in my 1980s circa home, one never wired for ethernet, one that just went through a significant renovation where I, in my supreme wisdom said "WiFi is great, now! Who need hardwires anymore?" was now faced with retrofitting several rooms and office with ethernet and said, this guy over here, the independent with a normal sounding company name, yeah - lets go with him! Mistake!! After schedule, and reschedule, and delays, and reschedule, we got nowhere with contractor number one. Meanwhile, Roberto and Peter at Those Tech Guys had patiently followed up several times, continued to be pleasant and professional, and AFTER I said no thank you I am going to go with someone else! So I made the dreaded call back - "So remember when I said if things change . . . " Peter was quick to jump on the phone, and walk me through things at every step. Gave me a highly competitive bid, and an install time of only a few days from when I called. They cam onsite, were clean courteous, and efficient. They played with my dog (I mean who doesn't love a bowling ball Staffy Bull Terrier mix?) and made light work of the install, and the final cost (with tip!) was even below the initial quote. This was made possible as Peter walked my home and together we found opportunities to do things more quickly, and save a few dollars along the way. In the end, I didn't choose Those Tech Guys first, but you should. No regrets here, other than I should have picked them first!

Very disappointing experience. The garage door spring installed by Garage Door Pros failed after roughly one-third of its expected lifespan. When I contacted them, they claimed they had lost all records and warranty information for the work performed at my address. The follow-up visit was worse. When I asked a basic question about spring options, the technician showed zero interest in helping and reduced the explanation to: "Only good American springs or cheap China springs." No specs, no cycle ratings, no real explanation--just dismissive and unprofessional. To make matters worse, their pricing was roughly double what competitors quoted for equivalent or better work. Both Summit Garage Doors and Elite Garage Door provided clearer explanations, better options, and far more reasonable pricing. Between the premature failure, missing records, poor communication, and inflated prices, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Friday night, I'm trying to get to a family dinner and my garage door won't open and i can't get out. i called garage doors of seattle in renton. they are a local , small company that i found online. Amit , the owner answered the phone ( even at 9pm on a friday night!) and told me a tech will be there in about 30 mins to check my door. the technician arrived and took a look at the door and after about 2 mins he knew exactly what was the problem , one of the springs broke and thats why the door would not open. he gave me a quote to repair it and 30 mins later i had a working garage door again! he replaced both springs, adjusted and balanced the door and lubricate everything and let me tell you our garage door never worked so smooth and quite. the cost seemed very reasonable , even when it was a late night service call. they did a great job and i highly recommend using them if you have a garage door problem. read more

Garage doors of Seattle was a great company to work with, which is pretty rare in the industry . My garage door spring broke at around 7am, I looked online and found garage doors of seattle. A tech showed up 45 mins later. He was polite and looked professional. He looked at the springs, took a few measurements and gave me a quote for parts and labor. I told him I would like to get another estimate and he said " call any garage door company you find online and if they give you a better price I'll match it" , I called 3 different companies , their price was a little higher and no one could come till 2 days later. I told the tech that his price sounds fair and that he can do the job. He replaced both springs in less then an hour, sure looked like he knew what he was doing. After calling several other companies and being told that they charged $85 just to show up to diagnose or give an estimate it was refreshing to see a tradesman who seemed to want the work! I called with a few questions and by the end of a 5 minute phone call had answers and an appt for a couple of days later. Amit arrived early for the appt, diagnosed the issues, and gave me a fair estimate within 20-30 minutes. He had the parts to complete part of the job and would call me in a day or two to schedule the rest of the job after getting the rest of the needed parts. 3 days later he was back and finished the entire job. Our garage door stopped working yesterday, I reached out to a few highly rated businesses on yelp asking for someone to stop by to take a look at it and check what's wrong with it. Amit with Garage door pros came by early this morning and found out a spring has snapped in half and is in need of replacement. He took a few measurements and went to his truck to get the new springs. 30 minutes later we now have 2 brand new springs installed and he also lubricated and services the garage door motor while at it. However, since its acquisition by a national garage service consolidator over a year ago, the company's local reputation is not more and has been replaced with a headless big company approach 1. Lack of Consistency: Calling in for appointments is frustrating as we were met with different representatives each time, often representing different companies altogether. This led to even more confusion and misinformation regarding our warranty coverage 2. Loss of Service History: Despite claiming to access our service history, the company seemed unable to retrieve records predating the acquisition, making it challenging to address warranty issues 3. Inconvenient Appointment Slots: Appointments are scheduled in inconvenient four-hour blocks, with cancellations and rescheduling common occurrences, causing further inconvenience 4. Difficulty in Escalation: Escalating warranty issues is met with roadblocks, with technicians lacking authority to make decisions independently and a call center manager acting as a decision maker 5. Decline in Local Service: With the loss of local ownership, the company's service experience has deteriorated, resulting in a frustrating customer experience A transparent approach from the company, acknowledging the change in ownership and warranty policies upfront, would have saved us considerable time and frustration. Instead, we were left feeling like new customers with little regard for our longstanding relationship with Ric's. I was told repeatedly by the call manager, we only purchased the phone numbers from the business; not the contracts, liabilities, and warrantees associated with the customers. In the M&A business, this is a kiss of death for anything the previous company built, as they are now just operating the old phone lines and are not the same company in any way.

The dispatcher reaffirmed they would be out from 11am to 2pm and I confirmed I would be waiting all day. About 15 minutes before 2 pm I get a call from a random 1-800 number and upon returning their call they tell me they've cancelled my appointment for not calling back "fast enough" after waiting all day for a no-show. Then tell me I'll have to leave my garage door unsecured overnight as they won't be able to come until the next day. The excuse used by them was that they've had multiple people quit lately. I sure hope they don't treat their employees the way they left us hanging. I can't attest for their value, only my wasted time. Update: after leaving negative reviews I get a call from them saying they've suddenly have time for me today and I just don't feel comfortable getting a quote from them now. I appreciate the attempt, but you shouldn't have to leave negative feedback for them to care about customers.

They completed the upgrade in a day and I have had no issues with them since their installation. They were polite and courteous, and I would recommend them for garage door work.

So, we gave Precision Garage Door a call and they were able to send someone out that day. As a matter-of-fact within 30 minutes! The technician, Justin, arrived and after discussing his process with us went about expecting the damaged spring and our garage door set up. After about 15 minutes, he provided us with different options to repair the damage and keep our door operating in tip top shape. We opted to replace both springs with a heavy duty, high-cycle spring. Thank you Justin for being very knowledgeable, efficient, and offering great customer service. We made the repair call prepared to replace only the damaged spring but we are glad that we reconsidered and replace both!

Trust me, just call this one…read more I got inspection/quotes from a few other garage door shops before Isaac from Instant Garage Door Repair (AKA A.M.B. Garage Doors, they merged apparently). They all found the very obvious issue (door arm was missing) and said "yeah we'll need to replace the entire thing". Isaac actually open/closed the door a few times, looked where it might be catching or rubbing, checked the roller wheels and springs, door alignment, etc. Isaac very clearly knows garage doors -- and he delivered. He was able to service the main maintenance in like 40 minutes; it went from being impossible for my partner to open/close manually to being almost no effort (and it's a heavy door)! In addition, there was a broken and missing piece of plastic where the door arm normally connects... he was able to CUSTOM CRAFT a small piece of metal that fits perfectly into where the missing piece was, removing the need to replace the otherwise-functional system! All of this ran us half what other places quoted us for the full system replacement, and none of them even talked about realigning the door or upgrading rollers or anything, and he did it without needing to schedule another day.
