WHY PGD HAS A REMARKABLE REPUTATION We wanted a Clopay door but had a specific design need that did not exist on the Clopay website. Fernando got us close. We signed a contract without complaint, but were not entirely enthusiastic about the solution. Two days later Fernando called back: he sensed we weren't 100% excited, kept searching, and worked with Clopay to get exactly what we'd hoped for, at $800 less. AFTER we'd signed a contract for the pretty good solution. WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE??? Then he found us an excellent carpenter for the prework -- BERTHA CONSTRUCTION--and installed the door beautifully. We just cannot say enough about PGD (and Bertha) and the quality of their work. read more

I recently had a garage door fail at my house where a few wheels had come off and one of the cables became disconnected. I looked for a local company and found Pilchuck Garage Door close by. I'll be honest that I was skeptical when I saw the 4.9 rating....since that is almost unheard of especially in a service industry. After calling them, they were able to schedule a fix quickly. Edwyn showed up on time, was very polite and professional, and he had my job completed in about 30 minutes....amazing. This is a family business (father/son) and they are the real deal and I highly recommend them. They are great! read more

Good people to work with ... just had a power outage at our home, operated the door manually and couldn't restart it electronically when the power came back on. Quick call to their office, and got an explanation that got it working immediately. Highly recommend. read more

I will without any hesitation recommend his service to everyone. read more

We had both our 30 year old automatic garage doors replaced, and are very pleased! The new doors are super quiet and smooth! They did a great job with the installation, and the whole process was a breeze from the estimate to the installation- they made it easy. They were on time and did what they said they would do! Pricing was reasonable and the doors and apparatus are good quality! read more

Pilchuck Grarage Door was great to work with. The replaced two garage door openers and programmed all the remotes in about 3 hours. Quoted price is exactly what was charged. They have also done a repair on one of the springs when it broke. They are easy to schedule and very courteous. read more

Fernando is a life saver! My mom backed her car into the garage door and the door wouldn't close. We called other businesses but they weren't willing to come on the same day. We called PGD and Fernando was here within 30 min and he fixed our door within an hour! His rates were reasonable and he gave us good advice about our garage door. Our door closes again and we're able to breathe a sigh of relief knowing we can close our door and sleep peacefully tonight. Thank you Fernando! read more

My husband and I hired Fernando to replace an older garage door opener. He provided a fair estimate, explained our choices, and even added lubricant to our older opener while we shopped around. (That alone quieted the rolling noise significantly). We eventually came back to Fernando to replace the opener and he did a fantastic job. Throughout our engagement, he was amazingly professional, communicative and friendly. Now we have a brand new opener that works great; and at a fair price. Thanks Fernando! read more

Very pleased with Pilchuck Garage Door. They did great work, had great communication, worked very efficiently, and they were on time. Would use again! read more

My main complaint is that he should charge more for a service call so that he makes sure to stay in business because he runs a really nice operation that is very helpful. Garage door failed. They fixed it within a day or two of calling. They answered the phone quickly. Very good customer demeanor. They fixed the door for the service call. They did quote me for two new garage door openers because I asked them to. Don't know if I will do that yet or not but they fixed the failed unit. Cost of the service call was too low. That's my only beef. read more

Outstanding service call. Garage door torsion spring broke on a Saturday evening and sent a message to the Pilchuck Garage Door email. Fernando responded within minutes and setup an appointment for the next business day. Fixed my garage door and found some other items needing immediate attention and replaced it as well. Professional service, great work, and another satisfied customer. Highly recommend Fernando's Pilchuck Garage Door company. read more

I'm just one more very satisfied PGD customer, this time I called to ask their help because on the previous morning, our (single, 16-year old) spring decided it was time to self-destruct (split into two halves). The sudden release of all that wound-up tension created a very loud 'explosion' that caused us and many of our neighbors to look around in search of the source -- after looking for a car or propane tank fire, or some natural gas explosion, we concluded it must be somewhere nearby but out of view. It wasn't until the next morning that my wife called me down to the garage because our garage door wouldn't open. The broken spring was immediately apparent, as was the answer to our puzzlement over the cause of the previous day's 'explosion.' Fortunately, that day's appointments were able to be re-scheduled, because there was no way at all that we could lift that 16' double door up even one inch on our own power. So I called Pilchuck to ask if they could fit in a spring replacement anytime during the next couple days. Fernando was already in the middle of his fully-scheduled workday, but offered to fit us into the very next morning's schedule. He and his son drove up at 7:30 AM, and got right to work. One really favorable feature of working with Fernando, besides his experience and skill, is his work ethic. The two of them set right to work removing out broken spring and installing the replacement (double) spring. In less than an hour's time he re-connected the electric door opener and pushed the button to show that the new spring was doing its job. A few minutes later I handed him a check and thanked him and his son for fitting this project into his already full, next day's schedule. Fernando's personality, experience and 'get-to-work' ethic are the principle assets he brings to the job. I'm totally happy to have chosen to work with him, and will gladly recommend him to anyone needing garage door work. If you're reading this because you're trying to decide whether or not to contact him for a garage door job, please don't hesitate to give PGD a call. You won't be disappointed. read more

I contacted Pilchuck Garage Door after another garage door company came out and made my original problem worse. I'm so glad that I did! Fernando and his team came out and installed a new garage door opener for us. It works well and is very quiet which is a much needed improvement from our last one! Fernando also gave us an idea of what future work we might consider. There wasn't any sales pressure. It was simply informative and helpful. I highly recommend using Pilchuck Garage Door based on my experience with them. We will definitely be using them again for our future work. read more

Pilchuck Garage Door is excellent - upfront pricing, no bait and switch, and reasonable price for garage spring repair. I have had dealings with other companies that require a fee for inspection prior to service or a fee for service call not including parts and labor. I would steer clear of those companies. Pilchuck gave me a quote on Yelp based on size of garage door and photos and stayed true to their quote. I will have Fernando do work on the garage again. read more

Fernando at Premier Garage Door did a fantastic job from start to finish installing a new garage door in my home. His communication was prompt & clear. He was on-time for the initial consultation, was very friendly, and was able to provide recommendations onsite for what to do. The quote we received was fair. The day of installation, I had accidentally booked a roof cleaning @ the same time, and Fernando and his team did a great job working around them. Afterward, he walked me through the set-up of the new garage door opener as well as how to use the app/keypad. Overall, the experience was pain free and I'm very happy with my new garage door. I'd recommend/refer anyone who needs a garage door to Fernando. read more

Fernando and his crew did an outstanding job fixing our garage door motors from the early 90s. He was prompt to responding, provided honest quotes, and provided high quality service in fixing our garage doors (properly done). My wife and I highly recommend this company. 10/10 stars! read more

One of the springs on our garage door snapped and we were in need of a replacement. Our garage door opener was also quite old and I was looking for something that worked with Alexa. Fernando recommended just the right equipment: a Genie Brand Model 3120HB. This unit is top notch, works with Alexa, and has a phone app. Fernando sold us the Genie, installed and configured it, and replaced both our door springs. He was prompt and fast and accepted Venmo. Couldn't ask for better service or a better recommendation! read more

Needed our spring fixed on our garage door. Called and got an answer right away, scheduled a consult for that same week, and ended up getting everything fixed two days after the consult. THE nicest, kindest person and I felt very safe with him at my house. I am really glad I got to support this local small business! read more

Fernando was great. Very responsive to my initial contact and subsequent messages. Clear explanation of his pricing, he showed up on time, was very efficient during the installation, and completed two opener installs in a little over 4 hours. I can only imagine trying to do it all myself would have taken days. He cleaned all waste from the packaging, removed all the old parts and even saved the batteries and light bulbs from the old openers. While he was here I asked about making the door smoother and quieter and he explained how the cheap rollers that came with door were going to be noisy because they were metal and rattled around. He showed me some nice nylon covered rollers with ball bearing that would be much better so I had him add that to the installation. He had units on the truck so there was no delay getting this done. While overall this is more than I had planned on spending, I feel good about getting the top units installed correctly and hands on learning of how to program all the controls. read more

A plus plus Received quote- cost was reasonable and the professional quickly and efficiently fixed the problem and left the work area clean and the garage door no longer grumbled as it was opened and closed read more

We worked with Fernando last autumn to replace two ancient garage doors. From the start, he was very responsive, concise, and informative. I appreciated that he was respectful and didn't try to sell me--he simply provided his best estimate and answered my questions. His bid was consistent with others in the area, but I felt he hit the right balance of service / cost / value. That, and I think the doors he was suggesting were of higher quality than the others... Fernando was dialed in on his process and timing. From estimation to final install, I trusted his communication and follow through. In the end, the doors were replaced without mishap or concern. Just as an example of his responsiveness and willingness to work on our behalf: we asked if we could do a minor alteration (glass panes) of our order before it was submitted. He'd already submitted it, but was willing to reach out to the door manufacturer and see if they could alter it. They responded that they would. However, the doors that showed up were the original unaltered ones. Fernando and his installer, Francisco, installed these to get the doors in place, but pledged they'd come back and replace them with the modified panels once the manufacturer straightened things out. Approximately a week later, Francisco was back to swap things out. Fantastic stuff! read more

Fernando was the quickest to respond and quickest to arrive when I raised an SOS for a broken spring in my garage door. It was a Saturday and I had appointments to keep, but was stuck inside my garage. Fernando arrived within an hour and quickly replaced both springs. He explained how and why springs break. All was done and fixed in 30 minutes and we all were on our merry way. Would definitely recommend his services and am glad to review him. read more

Our older garage door spring system went bad. I called Premier garage door and received a response promptly. Fernando knew exactly what to bring and promised to be at the house the next day. He arrived on schedule, was very courteous, and completed the job in less than an hour. We now have a new garage spring system which will last 10,000 cycles. I appreciated Fernando explaining how the system would work and how to care for our garage door for years to come. The five year warranty also is a big plus. read more

My garage door had stopped working. It would not open fully. Seeing the 5 star reviews, I called Premier Garage Door. Got an appointment the next day. Fernando was on time and fixed it quickly. But... he said that the fix is temporary because the garage opener and its mechanical parts being old will give way soon. He recommended replacing the opener, track and related parts and gave me an estimate. Next day I called another company that is highly rated on Yelp to compare the price and they gave me an estimate of half of what Fernando had quoted. I called a second company that is also highly rated and had a technician come in to take a look. Their estimate was also half of what Fernando had quoted. The technician's recommendation was that though the system was old, it didn't look like it needs to be replaced anytime soon. It seemed like Fernando was more interested in making a buck. I feel disappointed. read more

Premier was amazing super quick to respond, price was definitely the best value of the people that I contacted. Hopefully I won't need to use them again, but if the need arises I won't hesitate to call. I will definitely share Fernando's business card to people in my neighborhood and friends or family! The spring broke in my garage and it literally took about 30 mins to get it full replaced and the door lubricated. Thanks again Fernando! read more
