A quick call to E's Garage Doors Inc. and they were able to get out to see us the same afternoon. Ilam, a lovely, knowledgeable and skilled young man arrived ready to assess the damage and give us an estimate with many options and a warrantee for the work snd parts. David is excellent. He was extremely responsive to my request for an estimate and looking to see if my older extension spring garage door system could accomodate a more modern torsion set up. Due to low clearances, our door is unable to be upgraded but his technician noted that we had all the proper safety cables and equipment to ensure a well-functioning system. David didn't try to get rid of a perfectly good door and his technician recommended improvements that would help with sealing air gaps along the side of the door. To be fair, I have never used Yelp before and ultimately I didn't use ES Garage Doors. David Elter, the owner was the first to call. However, on the phone David used the F-word talking about another garage door company I had already coming and he was f'ing better. He at first said he could be here in 10 minutes, then wanted a window from 830 to 9 am. I pointed out he said 10 minutes and had the other company coming. So he texted at 0825 he would be here in 21 minutes. That would be 0846. But Zach - not David - showed up at 0905 hrs. Zach showed up in a dirty shirt, dirty and dented truck with frontend damage and poles / springs hanging out the back end without a red flag. When I looked at our telephone call and their physical presentation in totality, I told him they didn't come across as professional and I wouldn't use them. I didn't even want to waste their time with giving an estimate. I would be done here without any yelp review - but now comes the crazy part. With Zach still parked in front of my house the owner called me to complain about me and how I was unreasonable. I explained my reasoning and told him I was not going to use them. David tried to rationalize everything and put words in my mouth. I told him good luck and hung up. Zach was still parked outside my house. Zach then got out of his truck and started to walk up to my door again. I told him to leave. Zach kept talking. I told him I would give one star if he didn't leave. David called me again to yell at me again and complain about me. I had to hang up and tell Zach to leave. David stilled tried to call me again and then texted me.
