So far so good. I recently decided to invest in laser hair removal after thinking about it for a long time. I had some issues with my original appointment. They send you a form to fill out and one of the medications I am on was flagged, so I had to get doctor approval. I totally understand that, but I had submitted the form almost a week before my appointment, and they didn't tell me it required doctor approval until the day before my appointment. I had to make a doctor appointment to get them to approve it, which made me miss my original appointment. It ended up being fine and I rescheduled, but it was frustrating that I only had one day notice about all of this. On to the actual appointment... it was a great experience. Much quicker and much less pain than I had anticipated. I was in and out within 10-15 mins. The space itself is inviting and clean, and the ladies at the front desk are so sweet!!! Fast forward to this appointment, I finish my treatment and they suddenly tell me I owe around $450. I was honestly shocked. I told them I didn't authorize that and that I would've never come in if I knew I was out of credits. Instead of acknowledging that they forgot to tell me or offering a solution, they went ahead and charged my card anyway, saying it's "their policy." This could've been avoided if they were transparent and told me before booking my next session that I needed to buy more credits. It felt careless and honestly unfair. After purchasing, I called to book my appointment and was told that the chin area is not included in what they consider a medium area. This was never clearly stated in the Groupon description. My experience here has generally been pretty good but sometimes scheduling can be frustrating. 2 out of 4 times I requested a specific nurse and the front desk confirmed I would be scheduled with that nurse but when I show it, it's with someone different. Some nurses are not as friendly and makes the experience not so great. I definitely recommend sunshine when you're booking! She's really friendly and makes you feel comfortable throughout the appt. Very disappointing. I had a bad reaction to their laser facial and wanted to end the subscription. I am willing to pay for that particular service, being a reasonable consumer. The facial left my skin extremely dark, although the claim was that it was a brightening agent and was supposed to even out the skin tone. It did none of that and left me with a burning sensation for several weeks. They won't end my subscription without a dermatologist's note. If you have a high-deductible plan, you have to shell out $200-$ 300 for a dermatologist appointment, and wait times to see one in your network are typically anywhere between 2-3 months. I would not fall for their low subscription plan because there are other tactics to swindle money from you. Cannot recommend them. Be wary of their subscription plans. read more

Does not work long term (more than 1 month). I've had several sessions in different areas, and over time, the hair has gotten _worse_. You get less hair in the following month after treatment, but MORE in the longer term. This has happened to me in multiple body parts and getting more sessions just keeps making the problem worse. I would give this place a little lower than 4 stars if I could. The service depends on the nurse doing it. Some are better than others so it can be inconsistent. I could tell whether the nurse has good customer service depending on the questions they asked and the quality of service they provided. One nurse asked if I was growing hair in a specific area I was getting lasered...I wouldn't book an appointment for that specific area if I wasn't growing hair there. Thankfully, most of the nurses I had were good. They could improve on consistency of service as that is the main area of business and could make or break your experience there. The ambiance is very nice and comfortable with two separate offices. In my experience, the receptionists in the front are very nice and will answer any questions. I would recommend on finding a good nurse that you like and request them for your future appointments. Getting a not so good nurse is not worth the money and annoying. read more

They have nurses who are not dermatology specialized and its highly likely you will have unsatisfactory results. I trusted them intimate area laser and upper lip face laser. Both areas are now damaged with hyperpigmentation. I paid for about ten sessions , on my last session i was advised the previous nurses had been using the incorrect setting on my skin tone. Which is what caused damage to my skin. Choosing an experienced provider is crucial. Laser hair removal can be scary at first, but she definitely makes her clients feel comfortable. I've had the same procedure done before, but the laser used at SEV was painless!! I barely felt a pinch, even in more sensitive areas. They also use a cooling air machine that helps keep your skin at a cool temperature so you don't feel too much heat from the laser, which made it painless. You can expect to wait 20 min to 1 hour for every appointment you book here. They don't care about wasting your time. They book everyone 5 min apart for appointments (I asked the other people waiting in the lobby with me) but don't take into account the delays that add up over time. The appointments are rushed, and the results are abysmal, I have light skin and dark hair so I am the ideal candidate for laser hair removal. I asked for them to increase the laser strength and they said they can only increase it a maximum of three times every session. I could barely feel the laser it was so weak. Overall I would avoid this place. They are obviously just a greedy business that don't care about showing results. The five star ratings on google are deceiving. If you look at the one star reviews, it's obvious lots of people aren't getting good results. I myself rated them highly initially, but if you book a package or prepay, expect worsening wait times, rushed treatments, and a business that just doesn't care because you already paid. Why such long wait times for a laser hair appt? I work in a hospital, we get ED emergencies coming in which cause delays, there's no laser hair removal emergencies coming in. Customer service sucked! They are careless, have an attitude, and lack any productive communication skills. Firstly, They canceled my appointment and didn't bother notifying me. Via email at the very least. (the same email they used to confirm the appointment.) Since there was a number mixup. And I called three times to add services but not once did they notice or update the number. And honestly, they should've known because they ask for it to look up your appointment. The reason for the cancellation was a screening physician couldn't get a hold of me. Which brings me to my second point. (bad communication) I didn't even know I needed to be screened in the first place!?? And they didn't bother telling me any of the times I previously called. They just expected me to know and had an attitude when telling me once I called in for the 3rd time. I asked them if they even had the right number but Instead of double-checking, they wanted to argue with me! which was super unprofessional. At that point, I demanded to be transferred to the physician's office so I could get my screening and appointment back on track. Once in communication with the physician. I was able to confirm they did in fact have the wrong number! Now when I finally got into the lasering session the lady performing the services also had attitude and didn't even cover the full area I paid for to have lasered... But at that point, I didn't wanna argue anymore. I just wanted to get it over with and find a new place for the remaining sessions. Which I have. Good location because I can get my hair removal appointment then get my grocery shopping done at Trader Joes... Immediately when you walk in it always smells amazing. They burn a scented candle. Front Desk receptionist are very welcoming. I haven't had to wait long when I have an appointment and I haven't had any issues book my appointment. I always get a different laser technician so while I do feel exposed with the areas I'm getting done, it's relatively a comfortable environment and not at all awkward. Some technicians are better than others so it depends. This is much better price than LaserAway. I originally went to LaserAway 12 years ago, but I would choose SEV laser now. Unfortunately for my latest appointment my appointment that I have had for a month was canceled because I did not confirm within 2 hours of getting a text. They apparently have a new policy where if you don't confirm by text within two hours (during the working day so you need to be glued to your phone 24/7 apparently) they will cancel you appointment and then not pick up the phone. Their service was really good but now please don't spend your money here. They will cancel your appointment with 2 hours for no valid reason if you don't reply to a confirmation text immediately. I've been doing laser treatments on and off for the past 20 years (differen't areas), and she has been my favorite. She knows what she is doing and asks the right questions to get you the best treatment. I've went to other places where a doctor, yes, an MD, burned me, so I'm very particular at who I work with since then. I'll change my schedule around to get her as my tech. She is such a pleasure to be around, great personality. I hope she never leaves, if she does, I'll have to follow. She was friendly, gave me a quick rundown of how appointments go, and walked me to the waiting area for my appointment. Raegan is the nurse who provided me with my LHR treatment. She was very thorough in explaining the process, pre and post-care. During the appointment, she was very thorough and checked to ensure I was comfortable while she administered the treatment. The treatment process only took ~10 minutes. Raegan was very detailed in explaining the next steps until my next appointment. Off to a great start for my first appointment. I have been coming here for 16 sessions now and love my results! I have got my; full face, ears, front neck, armpits, full chest, full abdomen, manzilan, full legs, and full feet and could not be any happier going to SEV for my treatments! There was an occasion where I could not make it because my vehicle had started to breakdown on my way to my session and called to inform them. I spoke with the manager of this location and she was not having it. So I spoke with their superior and told them what had happened and made it right and spoke with the manager of this location. Have not had any issues other than what was out of my control with my vehicle. I still rate them 5 stars even though the manager was NOT understanding what so ever - so again I spoke with their superior and they made it right. I'm a happy customer and have recommended more than 10 friends and 5 family members to this location. Go check them out and you'll love your results but remember, everyone's body hair grows different so it is not the same for all and takes about 3-4 sessions to see major results. The laser itself was fine and relatively painless, and thankfully, I purchased a package off of Groupon because the prices are a little much. If you go, make sure that they wipe down the goggles they put over your eyes because I picked up pink eye from there last week. And no, the company does not think that it was at all their responsibility and would not offer a discount on my next service for the cost of me having to go to the doctor and my medication saying that I could've picked it up anywhere. Even though I live in San Jose I was originally being seen at the Walnut Creek office because it was so difficult getting an appointment at the LG office! Once everything started to open up again post-pandemic and the traffic got worse I grew tired of the commute so I switched over to LG and decided I'd deal with the low availability. But actually, I was pleasantly surprised with the LG office because the staff is super friendly and really wants to help you get in!! You can text them or call them for cancellation appointments and I have luckily always been able to get an appointment that works with my schedule. Plus, they recently renovated and added more rooms down the hall which means they can take more appointments!! Getting laser hair removal with SEV is one of the best devisions I've ever made! Ladies, don't be nervous. If you wax, this is much less painless and the results are so worth it. Just know that everyone's body is different and everyone reacts to the laser treatment differently. Some people may need less or more treatments and thats just all part of the process. Once you've had a couple of sessions and see it working you'll be hooked! All the nurses are very gentle and always make sure you are completely comfortable. I used to come to this place for a few years, I want to say for 4yrs straight since my hair was never gone so needless to say I have spent thousands of dollars here. When I first started coming here a full Brazilian was only $50 and underarms was around $30 but over the years the prices have gone up drastically, it's insane how much they are charging. The last time I was there was on Dec of 2022 they had raised the prices TWICE within the span of 1.5 months, they warned us about the price change the first time by email but when I went for my next one they charged me more and no one got notified of the price changed, the receptionist just apologized and agreed that no one had been notified of this. This was absolutely ridiculous for them to do. I haven't been back since because of how insane the prices were getting, I went from paying $50 to $90 for a Brazilian. Today I checked the prices since I needed a touch up and I come to find out one session is $99 for a Brazilian and if I want my underarms another $99 when it used to be $40-$50 (can't remember) that is a $40-$50 markup!!! This place is disappointing and it's overcharging their clients. I will now be going to Laser Away and also getting myself a laser hair removal device.
