I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated. I had a 3:00 p.m. appointment and left my house 3 hrs early to ensure I arrived on time. While I was only about 20 minutes away from the office, I received a text message saying my appointment was being canceled. I immediately called the office because I was already on my way. The receptionist assured me everything was fine and told me to come in anyway, saying they would "work something out." After I arrived, I was told by the receptionist very rudely too there wasn't enough time to numb the area before my filler and that I would have to go through it without any numbing medication. I found that completely unacceptable. Their scheduling issue should never become the patient's problem, especially when it involves unnecessary pain. Only after I firmly objected then she suddenly decide they could numb the area after all. That tells me it was possible all along, but I had to argue just to receive the standard level of care. This entire experience was disorganized, stressful, and unprofessional. Canceling an appointment while a patient is already on the way, then asking them to accept a painful procedure because the office was behind schedule, is not how patients should be treated. I had a confirmed appointment scheduled for 2:30 PM today at the Santana Row location. I arrived early, expecting to be seen at my scheduled time, only to discover that my appointment had somehow been changed to 2:45 PM without my knowledge or consent. As a result, I ended up waiting significantly longer than expected despite doing the responsible thing and arriving early. It felt incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. If appointments can be altered without notifying customers, it defeats the entire purpose of scheduling one in advance. STAY AWAY from LaserAway: Thousands wasted for zero results Do yourself a favor and avoid LaserAway. They charge thousands of dollars but deliver subpar treatments, seemingly designed to force you into buying more packages. Multiple sessions yielded absolutely zero results. Because this happened at both the beginning and the end of my package, it wasn't a timing or "growth cycle" issue. I was promised a complimentary touch-up session to make it right, but when I followed up, they went back on their word. When I requested a partial refund for the ineffective treatments, they refused and gave me nothing but corporate excuses. As a scientist and an engineer, I understand data, variables, and how laser technology is supposed to work. The extreme inconsistency in their treatments makes it highly suspect--it feels like they intentionally under-treat some sessions just to lock you into buying more. Having received excellent laser treatments in multiple states and countries, I know what proper service looks like. LaserAway completely failed to deliver what I paid for. I genuinely regret choosing the Santana Row location. Multiple friends have used other LaserAway branches without experiencing anything close to this level of incompetence. There appears to be no effective manager, and the front desk feels like a revolving door of staff who have little understanding that their system doesn't track appointments against the package's listed items. Thankfully, I documented every appointment and transaction. After spending over $10,000 and more than two years as a customer, as an example, half way through, I received a call telling me they had to cancel my appointment because I wasn't even listed as a client in their system. They later apologized, but that shouldn't happen in the first place. Again, just an example of incompetence but I let it go as I knew it's their system. However, as time went on I realized the front desk staff are oblivious to these repeated issues. The contrast in their customer service is remarkable. They will relentlessly call and text trying to sell you a maintenance package, but if you don't utilize it quickly enough, they simply remove it from your account. From there, you're sent on a months-long chase to contact corporate, who repeatedly promise callbacks that never happen. I'm still waiting for corporate to contact me since they still have my money. I'm so happy to have found LaserAway at Santana Row for their amazing noninvasive skin rejuvenating modalities. I've gone all-in on Thermage, Potenza microneedling (with Rejuran) and CoolSculpting. Having just started treatments recently, my skin is already looking younger, plumper and healthier. Nurse Dasha is a great nurse, who is an expert in everything LaserAway offers. Using Thermage and Potenza, she has made my face and body look glowing and my skin is firmer with less crepiness. LaserAway services and products are all expensive, regardless of what they tell you, they always say they are having a "promotion" and saving you money, that is the hook, it is a sales tactic. The laser hair removal works better in some places of the body than others, the treatment of the hair on the legs worked the best for me, I got full body. The hair is most stubborn in the face and Brazilian in my case. LaserAway is always trying to get customers to spend more and more money on their services. Also, scheduling needs to be improved there isn't enough availability of appointments or respecting of the appointments that are scheduled get canceled or rescheduled by LaserAway. There seems to be an issue with their scheduling system and potentially tracking of the services. On one on occasion I had an appointment that had been scheduled and showed up to the appointment and it had been canceled and I was never made aware of it. The laser hair removal works on some parts of the body for every person it is different and natural hormones in your body can make the hair grow back in some of the treatment areas. Laser hair removal worked for me the best on my legs, underarms, and bikini. I have dark brown hair and light/white skin tone. read more

Very inconsistent. I had been coming here for a long time and paid for many different services. They don't seem to have a system that clearly tracks what remaining services you have if you do buy multiple services. I was told I had 7 facials left in January, I haven't been there since January. I started receiving emails to "rate" my recent experience. I thought it was strange since I hadn't been there so I called. I am now told I only have 2 remaining. Not sure what happened to the 5 others that I was told I had ($1k) in January. Pay attention and track what you have yourself. Lesson learned. There are plenty of other places with competitive pricing, can track what you have, has equipment that isn't down and you will see the same crew who will treat you personally after you give them your hard earned money. This time I was late 3 minutes which I called ahead for and apologized, they made me wait 15 minutes in the waiting room before telling me that they had to cancel and reschedule my appointment. They also never followed up with me later that day when they said they would. Overall, the receptionists don't communicate very well and are not very kind. I waited to write this review because I wanted to see how the laser facials turned out. My first photo was from June 16th 2022 before I started my treatment and my second photo was taken recently on October 1st 2023. I wanted to share real photographs and show my experience because I did not see any IPL and C+B photos of other customers. As a returning customer I wanted to try their other services, but after a year of four clear and brilliant and four IPL laser facials I have come to the conclusion that I should not have purchased a package. There has not been much significant change and it was expensive. At first I was excited because my brown spots on my cheeks were fading but the last few sessions I saw little to no change. My skin goal was to eliminate my brown spots and create an even complexion. After the first two IPL appointments I felt and saw a difference. My face would turn pink, felt tender, and after a few days the spots turned lighter, however the last few sessions it did not. The nurse even checked the laser and verified that it was on the highest setting. When I called Laser Away later that week questioning the effectiveness, they said that it is normal that it won't be as effective and won't see much change afterwards. I wasn't too happy with the response especially because I bought a package which costed $5,000 (of 12 Clear and Brilliant sessions and 6 IPL treatments). The reason that I bought a combo of both was because the representative who I talked to over the phone explained to achieve the best possible result was to get both and that it takes multiple sessions- but looking back on it now it was most likely a sales pitch. I was satisfied with the laser removal treatment, it was not 100% with permanently removing the hair but I liked how there was not much remaining and the remaining hair is thinner. Bottomline, they do an excellent job marketing to the consumers with the flashy sales but for my experience the result was not achieved. read more

I have not been to this location for more than a years since I ended my services early because of the constant late appointments, no notifications and unprofessional staff. I had some units left so I decided to go and finish them off but was not planning on paying for a lot more units than what I had. It took 20 minutes of back and forth of not getting a straight answer of $ per unit. You would think they would have a visual: "1-5 units = $". This is just another unpleasant review for the San Jose/ Santana Row location. The person I had named Anita failed to use the grounding pad for my potenza treatment. When I asked why he wasn't ​going to use it he said it wasn't summer so we didn't need to. I felt like the treatment wouldn't have worked the way it should. And I was right. Although Anita was pretty thorough I am left with burns all over the areas I was treated. That is a critical component and is a safety violation. read more

I've been targeted by those instagram ads of 50% off for tattoo removal, so I purchased a few sessions for a special discount price. The way they schedule for discounts is over the phone, so there's no paper trail to prove what was exactly discussed. After I arrived at my appointment, finished the procedure, and was told to schedule a follow-up.. they said that I purchased only one session. This was a complete scam and fraudulent setup. I was extremely shocked and overwhelmed, so I called back and they completely flipped the script saying only one session was discussed and purchased. Please do not fall for their 50% discount scam. They'll change what was scheduled and gaslight you and try to steal more money by pressuring you into purchasing more sessions with some other fake discounted price. read more

Summary My recent Thermage treatment at LaserAway on 7/13/2024, costing several thousand dollars, was marked by significant delays, unprofessional conduct, and an incomplete session. This visit left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a customer. What Happened Date of Visit: 7/13/2024 My 4:15 PM appointment was delayed by 30 minutes without notice. Despite having SMS confirmation of the original time, the front desk dismissed my concerns and unprofessionally suggested I shouldn't have scheduled back-to-back appointments. When the treatment finally began, the nurse incorrectly stated that my last session was less than six months ago, though it was actually in January 2023. She almost forgot to take the required photos and moved me to another room in the middle of treatment due to an incorrect setup, causing further delays and discomfort. To make things worse, I requested the same intensity level as my previous sessions, but the nurse insisted on a lower intensity with a faster pace. The machine frequently displayed a "too warm" error due to the nurse's failure to apply cooling gel on my face. The treatment, which started around 5 PM, was abruptly halted at 6:50 PM, far from completion, administering only 537 out of 900 pulses. My neck was left partially treated. In the end, the front desk informed me that the nurse had worked overtime because the Thermage treatment was expected to be completed within one hour. This explanation was confusing, as the intensity of the 900 pulses can vary greatly among individuals. I had only received 537 pulses when the treatment stopped. Date of Follow-up: 7/19/2024 12:00 PM I had a makeup treatment on my unfinished neck with 300 pulses, concluding this issue. However, this time, I was treated with the lowest level of 1, whereas my previous treatments were at least 2.5 - 3. I didn't argue this time as I just wanted to finish the whole thing as soon as possible. How I Feel I felt like I had paid thousands of dollars to be treated unfairly and disrespectfully. This was the worst experience I've had since engaging with LaserAway, considering I have been treated in various clinics across the Bay Area. The delay was due to a malfunctioning machine, for which I should not have been penalized. I was so distressed that I cried, feeling the entire situation was profoundly unfair. As a customer, I feel compelled to speak out so others can avoid this specific clinic or a similar experience. In the End As a longstanding customer, I now question my confidence in continuing to use LaserAway's services. I still have many unused packages and bonus cash in my profile.
