However, when my partner and I arrived at the Los Gatos location, we found out that our appointments had accidentally been booked for August 18 instead of July 18. As someone with a very busy schedule, I was understandably frustrated because I wasn't able to come back another day. I then received a text message at 11 AM the next morning stating that if I did not fill out my email link for the health questionnaire, my appointment might be canceled, and then a half an hour later I received another reminder. Please note I had had this email to fill out the health questionnaire for less than 12 hours and my appointment was not for six more days. Then I received an email today subsequent changing my appointment time not acknowledging the change of my appointment time as if, people can just reschedule without being asked to reschedule, which I will note is the second time they've done this to me and reasons why I canceled my original appointment with them about a year ago because they assume everyone else's schedule is completely irrelevant to theirs. Once again I'm supposed to fill out a form that I received at 1 AM before noon, not even allowing me 24 hours of the form and when I don't return it immediately, I get texted every half an hour, to remind me!?!? I'm threatened that my appointment will be canceled if I don't get it done, but then my appointment just gets unilaterally moved to a completely different time as if I have nothing else going on, when in fact I do and I will have to be at work, extremely shortly after, the new appointment time, which doesn't work for me but, after waiting on hold for 25 minutes, to address with them, I had to give up. So far so good. I recently decided to invest in laser hair removal after thinking about it for a long time. I had some issues with my original appointment. They send you a form to fill out and one of the medications I am on was flagged, so I had to get doctor approval. I totally understand that, but I had submitted the form almost a week before my appointment, and they didn't tell me it required doctor approval until the day before my appointment. I had to make a doctor appointment to get them to approve it, which made me miss my original appointment. It ended up being fine and I rescheduled, but it was frustrating that I only had one day notice about all of this. On to the actual appointment... it was a great experience. I had a terrible experience with this company. I went in initially for the free laser facial promo, and ended up booking a skinpen microneedling session at the introductory price of $129. It would've been nice to actually have the treatment, but instead SEV laser cancelled my appointment due to "being unable to complete our mandatory patient intake forms". SEV laser then went ahead and stole $175 from me. They first tried to charge my Venmo card, which didn't go through, the thing is I never gave them that card information. The next day they charged another card, the card I actually gave to them on file. I never gave them card info for two separate banks, and I only ever went in for the free laser facial. Of course, this is untrue, and I even called customer service to see what happened and the representative told me I filed out all but one form. However, to my knowledge, on my end, I did in fact fill out all the forms. It's a prompted process I completed on my phone, on my end it said completed. The representative then told me it was most likely a glitch on their end. He gave me an email address to ask for a refund, I went ahead and did that and it's been a week and I have not heard back. SEV laser has some bad business practices and I would not go here. I was never offered a refund, and no option to reschedule. I was robbed basically. I understand there are contracts and fine print, but if I wasn't given all the paperwork to sign for clearance by the nurse then that's not my fault. Oh! Great results so far, the only reason why I'm removing two stars is a very strange interaction I've had with the front reception and the subsequent events that occurred afterwards. I informed the front desk that it will be my last laser treatment and I kept getting pushy marketing telling me that I should book my next appointment etc etc and if I buy the package now I will be saving money in the long term. I said no multiple times but fine, whatever, I know they just have to do their jobs. What I found really weird was that later that day, an appointment was made without my consent for the month after. I couldn't call to cancel because the appointment was made at 7:30pm. I called the next day, asked how it happened, and support said that it was made in the Los Gatos office, which made me think that the reception made the appointment herself. My experience here has generally been pretty good but sometimes scheduling can be frustrating. 2 out of 4 times I requested a specific nurse and the front desk confirmed I would be scheduled with that nurse but when I show it, it's with someone different. Very disappointing. I had a bad reaction to their laser facial and wanted to end the subscription. I am willing to pay for that particular service, being a reasonable consumer. The facial left my skin extremely dark, although the claim was that it was a brightening agent and was supposed to even out the skin tone. It did none of that and left me with a burning sensation for several weeks. They won't end my subscription without a dermatologist's note. If you have a high-deductible plan, you have to shell out $200-$ 300 for a dermatologist appointment, and wait times to see one in your network are typically anywhere between 2-3 months. I would not fall for their low subscription plan because there are other tactics to swindle money from you. Cannot recommend them. Be wary of their subscription plans. read more

I would give this place a little lower than 4 stars if I could. The service depends on the nurse doing it. Some are better than others so it can be inconsistent. I could tell whether the nurse has good customer service depending on the questions they asked and the quality of service they provided. One nurse asked if I was growing hair in a specific area I was getting lasered...I wouldn't book an appointment for that specific area if I wasn't growing hair there. Thankfully, most of the nurses I had were good. They could improve on consistency of service as that is the main area of business and could make or break your experience there. The ambiance is very nice and comfortable with two separate offices. In my experience, the receptionists in the front are very nice and will answer any questions. After years of commitment, I finally decided to stop, thinking I was done since my hair had mostly stopped growing. But the joke's on me - within just two months of stopping, all my hair grew back. It's thinner, but very much still there. Meanwhile, SEV continues to raise their prices year after year. When I started, a full-body session cost just over $250. They have nurses who are not dermatology specialized and its highly likely you will have unsatisfactory results. I trusted them intimate area laser and upper lip face laser. Both areas are now damaged with hyperpigmentation. I paid for about ten sessions , on my last session i was advised the previous nurses had been using the incorrect setting on my skin tone. Good location because I can get my hair removal appointment then get my grocery shopping done at Trader Joes... Immediately when you walk in it always smells amazing. They burn a scented candle. Front Desk receptionist are very welcoming. I haven't had to wait long when I have an appointment and I haven't had any issues book my appointment. I always get a different laser technician so while I do feel exposed with the areas I'm getting done, it's relatively a comfortable environment and not at all awkward. You can expect to wait 20 min to 1 hour for every appointment you book here. They don't care about wasting your time. They book everyone 5 min apart for appointments (I asked the other people waiting in the lobby with me) but don't take into account the delays that add up over time. The appointments are rushed, and the results are abysmal, I have light skin and dark hair so I am the ideal candidate for laser hair removal. I asked for them to increase the laser strength and they said they can only increase it a maximum of three times every session. I could barely feel the laser it was so weak. Overall I would avoid this place. They are obviously just a greedy business that don't care about showing results. The five star ratings on google are deceiving. If you look at the one star reviews, it's obvious lots of people aren't getting good results. I myself rated them highly initially, but if you book a package or prepay, expect worsening wait times, rushed treatments, and a business that just doesn't care because you already paid. Every time I have gone here the experience has been good. Sometimes you have to wait a bit for another appointment but that is okay with me. Unfortunately for my latest appointment my appointment that I have had for a month was canceled because I did not confirm within 2 hours of getting a text. They apparently have a new policy where if you don't confirm by text within two hours (during the working day so you need to be glued to your phone 24/7 apparently) they will cancel you appointment and then not pick up the phone. Their service was really good but now please don't spend your money here. They will cancel your appointment with 2 hours for no valid reason if you don't reply to a confirmation text immediately. I'm a happy customer and have recommended more than 10 friends and 5 family members to this location. I have been coming to this location for about 5 sessions or so. Even though I live in San Jose I was originally being seen at the Walnut Creek office because it was so difficult getting an appointment at the LG office! Once everything started to open up again post-pandemic and the traffic got worse I grew tired of the commute so I switched over to LG and decided I'd deal with the low availability. But actually, I was pleasantly surprised with the LG office because the staff is super friendly and really wants to help you get in!! You can text them or call them for cancellation appointments and I have luckily always been able to get an appointment that works with my schedule. Plus, they recently renovated and added more rooms down the hall which means they can take more appointments!! Getting laser hair removal with SEV is one of the best devisions I've ever made! Ladies, don't be nervous. If you wax, this is much less painless and the results are so worth it. Just know that everyone's body is different and everyone reacts to the laser treatment differently. Some people may need less or more treatments and thats just all part of the process. Once you've had a couple of sessions and see it working you'll be hooked! All the nurses are very gentle and always make sure you are completely comfortable. I've been doing laser treatments on and off for the past 20 years (differen't areas), and she has been my favorite. She knows what she is doing and asks the right questions to get you the best treatment. I've went to other places where a doctor, yes, an MD, burned me, so I'm very particular at who I work with since then. I'll change my schedule around to get her as my tech.
