Extremely disappointing experience. It has been over a month since my treatment, and the damage is still visible. This is not what I would consider professional and safe care. Despite multiple attempts to reach out, I was told to simply wear makeup to cover it, which is completely unacceptable. I am genuinely concerned that this may result in permanent damage. After this long, the area should have shown some signs of improvement, but it hasn't. Luba should never have injected under my eyes. I was told she has 16 years of experience, if that were true, she should have known how to perform the procedure safely and correctly. I deeply regret trusting and using your services. read more

I went in to get PRP under eyes which I've been getting in Salinas for the last 3yrs. I was excited to find there was a clinic here in San Jose that offered the same procedure. I was very disappoint. First the nurse took forever to draw my blood as she didn't have the correct equipment. Second I never been poked so many times. My eyes are super swollen and I'm not sure how long this will take to go down. I'm embarrassed to be seen out. I later found out that they offered the option to have procedure done via cannula . That option was never given to me. I usually have it done in Salinas via cannula and there is no downtime(no swelling or bruising). I'm very disappointed and will never go back. read more

I wanted to love SVA so bad after reading great reviews. Unfortunately my experience was not the greatest. I came in for lip filler as both a first time client of SVA and a first timer receiving any sort of lip filler. To begin with, I explained to my injector that I had never had filler before and wasn't familiar with the different products available. I asked for something that was, in her opinion, proportionate to my face and not too overdone. She let me know that my lips were proportionate. After she took her before pictures she started to wipe me down to start injecting, when I requested a dental block to make my experience more comfortable. I became concerned when she IMMEDIATELY turned around to start injecting me with filler after performing the dental block. As someone who worked in the dental field, it is common knowledge that you are supposed to leave the patient for 5-10 minutes to allow them to fully numb. She didn't wait more than 45 seconds to a minute. I let her know right away that I was not numb and her response was along the lines of "not everyone numbs completely". I chose to tuff it out after that. After a few minutes, my lips never actually numbed but other areas of my chin and jaw did. The entire visit was excusable up until the nurse, after a few minutes of injecting the top lip says, "Okay, so I'm done with the top lip, but I only have less than 35% of the syringe left for the bottom lip". She said she would "try and make it work" with what she had left, even stating that she had "gone a little overboard" with my top lip. I asked if they had a half syringe I was able to purchase, and she firmly stated that they only sold full syringes and that I would have to purchase a full syringe if I wanted anymore product. I was not going to pay for additional product I wouldn't use on top of what was needed to just try and correct what she had done to my face, so I agreed to let her try and balance out my bottom lip with my overdone top lip. After using the remainder of the syringe on my bottom lip, this is what I was going to be sent home with. (First picture) I began to panic, but still politely told her that they were not proportionate and they needed to be fixed because I could not leave the office or be seen in public looking that way. She did again admit in her words that she "got carried away" with my top lip. She then stepped out to consult with her manager and came back in with more filler to "fix" the bottom lip. Without any discussion of price when she returned, she squeezed a tiny amount of filler into a cup, then pulled that into the syringe. Again, less than half a syringe that I was willing to purchase. To make it worse, when filling the bottom lip with the extra product, the nurse injected a huge AIR bubble into my lip! I'm assuming because transferring the product from the vial to a cup produced air bubbles, but either way, at this point I was exhausted and she walked me out to the front desk. She was very professional on the walk up to the desk, and even though my lips were much larger than I wanted them, they appeared to be somewhat proportionate to each other. (I was extremely swollen at this point). She wished me a happy holidays, apologized again, then walked to the back after leaving me at the counter. However, when I attempted to pay, the front desk began to charge me for the corrective filler. I explained what happened and provided the picture to the office manager Sasha, who agreed and deducted the extra filler from my bill. The nurse came out and apologized for the screw up which I very much appreciated. Overall, the staff was very friendly, I just had a terrible experience for being a first timer. Now that I am fully healed (4 weeks post filler), my top lip is still significantly bigger than the bottom, and one side is bigger than the other on the bottom lip. (Second picture). I came into the Blossom Hill location to get my acne scars treated after accutane. I waited at the front desk for a little before going in and was greeted by the very polite Becky who was helpful before the treatment. The other time I went in for another treatment I was greeted by Sasha who was also really nice and asked me about how I was doing and complimented my skin. The person in charge of my skin treatment was Luba and before the procedure she took the time to sit with me and tell me about the treatment so I knew how it would benefit me. During the procedure she constantly asked me if I was in pain and turned down the needle if it was too much. After 2 treatments with Lubamy skin was really improving and after the third and some time I saw significant improvement in my skin and confidence. I don't typically write reviews but because of my very bad experience, I wanted to share. Hopefully, no one has the same horrible outcome. I came here for IPL treatments. First two treatments, no issues. The third treatment went horribly wrong. The nurse who administered the treatment had the laser set so high, I ended up with second degree burns. I believe this could have been avoided. Seeing that the skin was turning red immediately with the first contact, you would think she would lower the setting. Instead of doing this, she continues the treatment at this high setting, all over my face. Keep in mind they have numbed my face and I am lying down with goggles over my eyes. I have no idea how red or burned my face is getting. I didn't know how bad it was until I got home and looked in the mirror. Not only did I have red marks all over my face, but it's felt very warm, as if I've been burned. I called them immediately. Of course no one answers and I have to leave a voicemail. I didn't get a response until several hours later. The return call was not from the nurse, who performed the IPL treatment but from one of the girls who checks you in when you arrive for procedures, who informed me I needed to send photos for them to advise on treatment. I guess, after seeing how bad my face looked, I warranted a call from their resident nurse practitioner, who confirmed I had second degree burns and prescribed an antibiotic ointment. It's been almost one month since this happened and my burns are not completely healed. I still have visible marks on my face. I can only hope I wont have scars. Throughout this horrible experience, I didn't even receive an apology from the nurse who gave me the second degree burns. I guess an apology would have been admitting that she did something wrong. Anyway, for those of you considering doing IPL treatments here, please don't! read more

When you offer a service to your client right when they're under the service, you as the service provider are obligated to disclose any charges for anything you're offering. Though I am still waiting on the results - got it 2 weeks ago so normal - I really appreciated I felt felt I was being upsold. I have been to other med spas and I always feel like they are trying to sell me more and usually I fall for it. Everyone was professional and gave be honest expectation of results. They were honest and did not oversell any expectations. I did not have this experience at another med spa. They tried to upsell me and the cost went from $700 to nearly $10,000 Not SVA, it makes me feel so much more comfortable knowing that I don't have to be in the uncomfortable saying no or yes. You get what you pay for ... bought discounted Botox received terrible Botox application. I have been getting Botox for a few years now, my usual spot is all the way up in SF so I thought I'd give this place a try. I have averaged 27-30 units each time. I have always had great results and a smooth forehead. Here they recommended 40 units and my results were awful. Never even attempted to fix my drooping brow, and CHARGED ME for the one area that they fixed!!!!!! Due to their negligence!!!!! Interesting that they now sell "Areas" or Botox. Botox by the "Area" ....but when you come back with a problem that THEY created, or failed to properly administer... they charge you by the UNIT! ha ha ha ha This place is dangerous and unprofessional. Don't wait until you have a problem and they could CARE LESS about the outcome OR your satisfaction. They said they would have their "Office Manager" Call me in a couple of weeks as I was walking out the door, LOL for What? I paid for FOUR areas. They BOTCHED all of them except for One and made me PAY for the only thing they corrected. Blaming ME all the while! (Seriously Through The Entire Appointment) I guess they have never heard of a "Mission Statement". I never once during this experience was seen by a Doctor. Really despicable. I don't have time to report them to the medical board, if I did I would. Please value your self esteem and your health, don't go here. And yes I have had plastic surgeons and Registered Nurses work under my roof. So I have a lot of exposure in a number of modalities and services. Microneedling here was the worst thing I've ever done to my face. Everything that could go wrong did. I suffered from numerous (15-20) scars, enlarged pores, and wrinkles. The above was the combination of a high depth, the esthetician going too fast and doing too many passes, and crusting/scabbing. I believe I got most of my scars because my face was too dry and moisturizer didn't do much. I probably should have put on a tub of ointment or vaseline, but post-care instructions weren't that great or emphasized. The increased pore size and extra holes in my face were due to the needles for sure. My crepey skin is probably due to the Dermapen dragging across my face. If you're really keen on getting microneedling, please ask the esthetician to use a low depth and go slowly. You might not get the results you want, but better safe than sorry. I thought microneedling was somewhat of an easy procedure based on my online research, but I regret getting it done. read more

I have had nothing but good experiences here. Every provider here is good. They do a follow up call to see how things are going with your latest procedure. I've had Botox, the new Xeomin (great price and just as good as Botox), IPL, Pixel, Juvederm and Kybella. Healed just fine from them all. The front desk ladies are all so polite. They often try and get you the best deals. For example instead of buying something for the future, they will say wait to buy it until such and such date when we will have a special. I cannot give this place a negative review because they are all very welcoming and knowledgeable. But, I do want to give a thumbs down 1-star review on a new product they are using - Xeomin. I am one of the "lucky" ones that has become immune to Botox after just a few treatments. Never even knew that was a possibility but it is! SVA recommended Xeomin, a product they just started administering a few months ago, which you're not supposed to be able to build up a tolerance to like Botox. I had not one, not two, but three Xeomin treatments and I literally cannot see even the slightest difference in my wrinkles prior to any of the treatments I've had in the last three months. I had the best experience with Luba! I initially went in for PDO threads. However, I did not take into account that when you get threads there is a two week healing process, and I had an event coming up in 2 days. So... I did not get the threads on that day! But, since I was already there, I wanted something that would freshen up my skin. Luba recommended a chemical peel and a little Botox. Wow...when I looked in the mirror after my chemical peel, I was amazed. My skin was GLOWING! She also did a fantastic job on the botox as well! She explained all of the procedures in detail and answered all of my questions. Luba is very gentle and skilled! I will definitely be getting another chemical peel when needed.
