Eden Electrolysis is a fantastic and welcoming electrolysis studio. There are several technicians--and all use the latest technology to help with hair needs. Their scheduling is often booked months in advance due to just how good they are! I have had services done by Beatriz and Danae. Both are very patient, kind, empathetic, and go above & beyond to be extremely accommodating. Electrolysis is not always comfortable or pain-free (especially if doing a Brazilian). Both will be sensitive to your needs: some sessions are done quietly (if you happen to be meditating through the procedure) or can strike up conversation to drive your attention elsewhere from the pain. Pro tip: invest in prescription numbing cream. Apply generously an hour before your procedure and place a plastic wrap to protect the numbing cream from being displaced everywhere. Pain may still be present, but largely reduced. When your procedure is done, they use this extremely soothing healing gel. It's beyond nourishing. And it's my favorite part of the experience! They also use some healing electrode--I'm not absolutely sure what it does, but believe me, Eden Electrolysis cares fully about your procedure DURING and AFTER. What sets Eden Electrolysis apart is they are women operated & owned. They also serve the LGBTQ+ community, including for surgery preparation (they are very proud of this fact...it's one of their headlines on their website). And have the most insightful conversations. You really feel compleyely comfortable in their hands! The space has a window looking directly at the Evergreen Hills (Lick Observatory), if that's important to you. I've been seeing Danae at Eden Electrolysis for over 10 years. She is amazing. The office is very clean and professional. All the girls are very friendly and accommodating to your needs. I do 2 hour appointments. I'm a very hairy guy, so I'll never run out of work. I've done full Brazilian boy shorts, back, arms, armpits, ears, neck, beard lines. Some places hurt more than others but using numbing cream beforehand really takes the edge off. Overall I've been completely happy with not only the hair removal but the atmosphere of the business. I have been coming to Eden electrolysis for about seven months now. I have had a wonderful experience with Danae. She has been extremely attentive to detail, kind, and easy to work with. At the end of every session, they use a cooling gel that is extremely nourishing, and really shows that this team cares about my skin. I have been enthusiastically recommending Eden electrolysis to my friends for the last several months. Parking is pretty easy. I am updating my review from when I first started coming here. Denae and Beatriz have been working on my eye brows and I have seen a huge difference. Worth every single penny. I wish I can take a before and after but it's knda hard since the hairs are so small. You will not be able to see it using my camera phone. I am so happy with the results. Do keep in mind this is a commitment. And you can't expect results from 1 or 2 treatments. It's working but the folicule sometimes take 1 to 2 times to vanish forever. This place is amazing. I found out about them through an online search a few years ago. I started my sessions back in the fall of 2010, when Charlotte was running Eden Electrolysis out of a small room in the Oddfellows building. I chose electrolysis after a lot of research. I know there are other technologies available, but electrolysis has been around for ages and is the only highly effective way that very thick and dark hair on people with pigmented skin can be removed permanently. My results have been fantastic. I had a lot of thick facial hair due to PCOS and it's nearly all gone. Needless to say my self confidence has increased and I'm no longer as self conscious about my face when I'm not wearing makeup. Both Charlotte and Danae are fantastic at what they do, and great people to boot. I cannot recommend this place enough. Doesn't matter if you're trans or cis, male or female, they will take great care of you and make sure you get the treatment that's right for you based on your skin and hair type. read more

TLTR: TECHNIQUE AND EXPERIENCE MATTERS FOR ELECTROLYSIS. Cheap doesn't always mean good. I came here because I was a bit uneducated and thought their prices were good but WARNING: they use thermolysis, lack technique, and that caused me bad pigmentation! Danae really amped up the settings because my hairs wouldn't come out and that caused my whole left armpit to have hyperpigmentation and circles with pus(abnormal). Charolette did my right armpit, on a lower setting so I had no hyperpigmentation or complications like my left, but I heard a lot of tweezing, meaning it was incorrectly done, and when I asked her about it, she said it because my hairs were brittle.. Because it was so poorly done, the hairs grew back the exact same within two weeks but I have so many ingrowns. I thought it was normal bc they told me my symptoms were normal and I shouldn't have high expectation. HOWEVER, because Eden was booked, I decided to try Freedom Electrolysis and they told me my results were not suppose to be like that and the technique Eden uses usually leads to hyperpigmentation. I had a total of 3.5 hours, and Charolette even told me I would need another 1.5 hours for full clearing.they already did not clear much, making an excuse I had a lot of hair, when I compared my case with many YouTube videos and other cases with other places where they said should've taken 1 hour/armpit. I know everyone is different but I'm an Asian with a case less severe than what I've watched. For how much hair I still had after all this time, the new place assumed I only had only one short appointment. I recommend Freedom Electrolysis and will be continuing to go there instead. It's pricier, but think about how many poorly done appointments you have to set with Eden for CLEARING to see results with the cost of ingrowns and hyperpigmentation. read more

I was going to wait to review but on the other hand, for what?! I'm looking these services near me. After reading reviews I decided to try Eden. I emailed them about my questions mentioning my previous treatments, No answer. So I called after 2 days and lady on the phone didn't know anything. She took my number saying someone will return my call, but I didn't get any call. So I called again but the same thing happened. Finally, I booked consultation appointment to check it out. I interacted with Beatrice. She told me they use flash electrolysis which is faster and covers more surface on body. BUT when the area treated for 15 minutes was so tiny. She said it would take about an hour to treat the entire chin. My current practitioner only takes 10-12 minutes to treat the same area. I'm not sure what Beatrice did for 15 minutes and I'm certain that I can invest my time and money elsewhere to get effective returns. read more

At my consultation, she was very detailed in her explanation of the process, what to expect and made me feel super comfortable. I started with the free consultation and was extremely impressed with how much information they gave me on the process and how to care for your skin before and afterwards. The process is as painless as plucking a hair with tweezers. I've only had three sessions and I no longer feel the need to shave it's been about two weeks since I've seen them and all I have is peach fuzz left. They have saved me so much time plucking every morning as well as they've saved my skin because my skin is no longer red and irritated every day from plucking at it. So I have been hesitant in adding a review because, as I have told the girls before, they're already crazy booked and if I share how awesome they are, it'll get worse. But they just added a new tech so I think I'm safe!! Hahaha. I've been coming for the past 10 months for PCOS facial hair. Danae and Char are goddess-sends. I started with 2 one hour sessions a week, I'm now down to one and we are slowly bringing that down, but apparently I'm running out of hair!?! There is some pain involved. I mean you're getting each hair zapped. But drink lots of water, get a good nights rest and easy on the caffeine, it'll be fine. Now I'm used to it so I tend not to bother but I should probably be better to myself anyway. The girls make sure you're comfy and play relaxing music. I kind of treat it as my relax time and have been known to snooze from time to time during a session. Other times we just have and hour long gab session. I have been an electrolysis client of Danae for some time now with great results. They recently started offering skin care, so I scheduled a TCA chemical peel, the first peel I have ever gotten. Danae thoroughly explained what my skin would look and feel like for the 7-9 days after treatment, so I was well aware that my face, neck, and décolletage would noticeably peel. The treatment itself was slightly uncomfortable, but this was expected. It took less than an hour. I received great after-care instructions as well as additional products to use. Make sure you use all products as instructed, as well as sunscreen, EVERY DAY. My personal experience has been that my neck peeled more than my face, and I peeled more around my mouth area than anywhere else on my face. On the phone I was able to get ALL my questions answered and once me and my fiance arrived we were greeted with professionalism of the highest level while still feeling like an open safe environment. The office is personal and you are assured you are the center of the doctor's attention. You feel like your comfort is key for the process and there is an open discussion of how you are doing while it's going on. What more can I say? At Eden Electrolysis my fear of discomfort for my fiance was alleviated, and we both came out extremely satisfied. Electrolysis is slow, but the folks at Eden are wonderful and make the process as enjoyable as it can be. I've been going there for a little under 3 months to get rid of a beard that totally doesn't match my gender identity. Compared to some businesses, I walked in there and instantly knew I was in a trans-friendly business. They are friendly and wonderful at making any customer feel welcome. They use some fairly modern thermolysis electrolysis machines and they do this cool thing at the end that electro-chemically helps soothe the irritated skin. Updated Review 2019/02/18 I have been an electrolysis client of Danae for over 4 years. When Eden Electrolysis started offering facial peels, I scheduled a Peptide Vitality 1 - Classic Facial with Danae.  I have very sensitive skin that even burns when I put on certain sensitive lotions. Danae was careful throughout the procedure monitoring my skin as well as thoroughly explaining everything. It was my first peel and I highly recommend giving it a try! 2015/12/5 Eden Electrolysis is the best place in the Bay Area to get your hair removed and a treasured gem in the LGBTQ community. I've been going here for roughly over 6 months now. I started at 2-3 hours every 2 weeks, to just 1 hour a month. The girls are cool and open minded, and they make sure that you are comfortable during the procedure. They also specialize in transgender clients, so don't be shy! (Also, they LOVE trance music.) They now have 3 girls working there (Danae, Charlotte, and Chris), so they should have more space. They are unfortunately very packed, so be sure you can stand waiting 2-3 weeks between appointments! The rates are great. At $1/min +$15/hour, that's really great. You'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else as professional, open, and priced as they are. I highly recommend this place, trans or not. Great work and pleasant people, but almost impossible to get scheduled. They need to expand their business & hire more people. You have to book 3 or 4 months out to get an appointment. The thing that takes them over the top and gets them five stars (even though I only went in once and I'm unlikely to go back) is that a huge proportion of their clients are LGBTQ, and they accept insurance if you're transitioning and are looking to get hair removal. (Kaiser for sure, dunno about other ones). read more

I am an electrolysis veteran. I have been to many clinics over my 40 years of hair removal. Charlotte firstly is awesome. Punctual, professional, efficient and effective. She uses most current technology.. including an advanced cooling down technique most do not use at all. I had no skin reaction, very little redness and no irritation. Just had my first session today with Charlotte and it was absolutely amazing. I have been treated for electrolysis for the past 3 years at a different place and I saw no improvement, the treatment was very sporadic and she didn't completely clear off an area before moving on to the next. First, the ladies here are all equally amazing and are the warmest and most welcoming people you can imagine. The location is easily accessible, parking is a breeze, and the office is clean and tidy. I have never had an issue with booking an appointment when I needed one; although I do only book 15/30 minute sessions so it may be slightly harder to book longer ones. My unwanted hair is thick, dark, and curly so it's pretty stubborn, but it is responding well to the method of electrolysis that is used at Eden Electrolysis. I cannot recommend this business enough. I booked 4 appointments in Eden on March and i Received 4 confirmation messages at that time i did the 2 appointment on April its was good and on time and i liked the work i cant say the opposite BUT on my 3rd and 4th appointment I called to confirm that i ll come but i was surprised when one of specialists (( i know her name but I don't want mention that )) said that i dont have reservation today or next week she said she cant see it in her schedule and she pretended that online reservation sometimes its not waork !!!!! So how come i did the first to session on April and its not work for May ????? I received all 4 confirmation messages on the same day on March as i mentioned, is that mean the first 2 sessions were worked and next 2 sessions weren't worked?? This claim not makes sense for any one!! Whoever she told me she has only an hour available instead of 2hours that I booked before. I came on 8th May in the same time and day that i should do my sessions and she told to wait an hour till she finish her client that he already took my place , she gave my appointment to him and then I discovered the reason when he finished i saw him give her a tips in her hand!!!! So she canceled my both sessions and she lie to me when she told me that online reservations sometimes not work and i was stupid I believed her instead of believing in my memory that I received 4 confirmation messages on March, I fell bad and sad for this un respectful behavior from her she lie many times on me only because of tips !! If she simply just mentioned that to i ll give her i have money to give but this is my first experience in this cosmetic thing in US i dont know that we should par tips additional to what we pay already each sessions, i ll not come back ever to this clinic and i ll find another can respect their clients appointment.. I'm a guy, and I have some pesky random hairs that crop up on my shoulders. Not something women find sexy. I was referred to Eden and I had a wonderful experience. First, the facility was very modern, paperless and even had a personal video glasses for me to relax. The staff was friendly and understood my apprehension and embarrassment I might feel. Lastly, I dozed off during the session. Didn't feel a thing! I highly recommend anyone going to Eden. They even take CC's.
