Nice brewery about a half mile walk from city market. Dog friendly inside and out. Large selection of beers and also have seltzers. Inside is large with lots of high top tables, large screen for watching sports, dart board and a small area with couch/ comfy chair seating. Organized lines to order drinks. Occasionally has food trucks outside or you can bring your own food. read more

We absolutely loved this place! Love the concept ran by a serviceman. The atmosphere is captivating. The high ceilings and storage containers are a great addition to the american flags, murals, and taps. Oh- and by the way- the beers are awesome! I had their Wit, my boyfriend had their IPA and we both shared their Pilsner. All three beers were very delicious! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting good beer in Savannah. read more

We caught this place right when they were opening up mid the nationwide epidemic. It was absolutely huge inside, the staff and owner were amazing. It is such a great spot to hangout with friends and co-workers. The beer was delicious so many flavors to choose from but you will not be disappointed. The brewery is veteran owned and dog friendly just keep them on a leash. There is tons of space inside and out to enjoy a great night in Savannah. read more

Service is the perfect distance away from the main drag of Savannah. It's close enough to walk, but if you want to get away from the crowd and enjoy a beer with friends it's the perfect spot to be and that's exactly what brought us here! The building is huge so there's tons of seating both inside and outside with plenty of space in between. When we first got there the staff was so nice and helpful-- their larger menu left us with a few questions of what to get but after a few samples we grabbed our beers and headed outside to chill and enjoy the spring weather. Every interaction we had was awesome and we ended up spending a few hours there. Definitely pop in for a visit next time you're in town! read more

Very nice selection of beers that are well brewed and reasonably priced. Used their side room as a venue for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Casual. Ping pong table and 2 sets of cot hole boards were a nice addition. Clean and spacious. Music there as well on a Friday night. Comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Would highly recommend. read more

So glad to have made it here on my Savannah trip! As we sat on a horrifically boring river cruise, I checked the opening times for Service and realized we'd have less than an hour post-docking to make it there. As such, as soon as we were able to get off the ship, I booked it to Service in the September heat -- and likely looked like a disgusting mess upon arrival. Fortunately, all the staff members were kind and didn't seem to be judging. They have different package options that allow you to buy a growler or six-pack to go. I went with the standard flight option: six pours. 6 oz. each. $12. Not bad! There were several on tap and I even changed my mind at the last minute for one of 'em. Only bummer was that no porters or stouts were on yet, so the brewery was being very hop-forward. Since IPAs and I are currently taking a break, I tried to choose the least hoppy options overall. Honey saison, a slightly tart hefe, a pilsner, their Oktoberfest, SBC 1 (American Strong Ale), and, just for kicks, the Compass Rose IPA. These were quality pours. Standouts for me were the Oktoberfest and the SBC 1. All in all, this was a nice, casual reprieve from the hot temps! read more

How have I not reviewed Service before now?! This is by far my favorite brewery in the area! They have an awesome space, delicious beer, and give back to the community... what more could you ask for in a local business? Service Brewing is located in a renovated warehouse close to River Street. They have a ton of open seating, a large bar, ping pong tables and darts. I love their big word wall where they ask, "How do you serve?" and people can write in their stories. Service is veteran-owned, and they do a lot of fundraising for military charities, which I think is awesome! Most importantly, they have a great variety of beers. I love their Rally Point pilsner and their Ground Pounder pale ale. My boyfriend is a huge IPA fan, and their Compass Rose is his absolute favorite! They also have events throughout the year featuring some of their seasonal or small batch beers. This is a must-see place for beer lovers! read more

I'm between 4 and 5 stars on this one because everything was awesome except the beer was just pretty average. But atmosphere, nice and clean indoors, and friendliness of staff made up for it. I appreciate the military support so I'm going 5 star. Awesome vibe and great location close enough to everything but just a little outside of the hustle and bustle so you can park for free read more

Impeccable service from the handsome tattooed bartender Julio. He was super helpful and friendly! Can't wait to come back :)

This was a pretty cool place. It's a little of the beaten path, which is cool because it wasn't overly crowded and not in the middle of a bunch of other stuff to confuse the issue. We specifically sought this place out rather than walking down the street and saying "oh, this place looks cool, let's stop in" as one might when exploring Savannah. We visited during the 4th of July weekend, earlier in the evening and got 2 flights to get a good sampling of what was available. There's outside seating and a food truck, but we opted to stay inside because of the heat. We did, however, go out and get some food off the truck (very good) about halfway through - to help absorb some of the alcohol from the beer. There was live music over in the corner, making it a little difficult to hear when they were playing. The beer was impressive enough to order some pints off of what we tasted in the flights, tho it's been several weeks and I don't recall what the offerings were. Suffice it to say We enjoyed the visit and the beer and would recommend adding it to your itinerary when in the city. read more

We walked down here for a couple of beers. Nice laid back atmosphere with good beer. Enjoyed it quite a lot.

Absolute favorite brewery in Savannah. Great location - parking doesn't seem to be an issue. Seems to be your typical *but extremely inviting and clean* warehouse taproom. Has bar/inside/outside seating. Ping-pong table & possibly other games. Awesome variety of taps & incredibly friendly staff. I think they have the best beer (consistently) Savannah has to offer. You can snag a 32oz crowler here, but I didn't see a 64oz option... maybe if you bring your own it's possible. read more

This was one of our first breweries we started at while in Savannah and is right down the road from the distillery. They pride themselves on being a veteran-owned business and they really have a great location and great beer. When we were there they had a pizza food truck out front that looked amazing. The space itself is very open and has games and seating all over the place making it a great place to relax and kill some time while sipping on a great beer. Everything we tried was very good from the IPA do the stout. They had some unique things like an oyster stout that again tasted pretty good. I'd say overall this was probably my favorite brewery we stopped at in Savannah and definitely has a great combination of good beer and an awesome atmosphere. read more

Service Brewing is a great place just off the beaten path in Savannah. We saw their beers on tap all over town so made a point to check out the brewery. It's a great space a couple of blocks off the river. Taproom was classic industrial chic. We tried all the beers they had on tap and all were good to very good (no small feat in our experience). Their Pilsner, Marzen and Mexican Lager were all very good. Their Cookies and Cream Stout was surprisingly good - not as sweet as the name implied. Their session IPA was a standout as well, not overly bitter or thin as this style can sometimes trend. Obviously a brew-crew that knows what they are doing. Where Service Brewing really shined was, wait for it - the service. Everyone we talked with was friendly and accommodating. A really great group that helped elevate our overall impression of Service Brewing. Bottom line for us - good beers and great service makes for a rock solid stop-off. read more

Best brewery in Savannah. Nice, large facility, friendly crew and great beers. And,they support the armed forces. We will definitely be back. read more

Service Brewing like the other brewery is surrounded by several military bases and also Savannah College. Today the brewery was full of soldiers and families. Service Brewery decor is all military. The beer bar itself is a metal container. For what I noticed they have a small selection of less than 12 beers on tap. Four of wish they offer year round. And 3 to 4 seasonal/limited release beers. Also 3-4 small batche beers. My opinion of Service Brewing if your not in the military or affiliated with a branch of military this wouldn't be a good spot to visit. All though my boyfriend is a veteran he doesn't drink. I really felt like a sore thumb _. Because everyone was talking military, and all the wives knew each other. Like I said it's pretty much just military. That sums it up. Now! If you want to come and enjoy the several beers they have...by all means come and enjoy. But bring someone with you who's in the military and drinks or a veteran that drinks. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ read more

My husbands friends were coming into town and I was looking for fun things for them to do while in Savannah. As Beer connoisseurs they loved this outing and told me that it was the highlight of their trip! This place is just a short walk from River Street. For a minimal entrance fee you are able to enjoy a generous tasting of several different beers, including Root Beer. However, I do not recommend the Root Beer! It was awful!! The tour that they offered was short but informative. The space and vibe of this joint was clean and open, with details that suit the owners who are Veterans. I walked away knowing the difference between a regular pour and a Nitro pour! Just a tip, the Nitro pour is delicious. You can really tell the difference! I loved visiting here and beyond that, I love the story behind the business! If you are in Savannah, and you are a beer lover, you need to add Service Brewing Company to your traveling agenda! read more

This is a fairly new (2014) brewing company in what I would say is a definite revival of historic Savannah. The location is a stone's throw away from another newly minted distillery called Ghost Coast. The location is tucked back away a little bit from the main tourist and downtown area but only a ten to fifteen-minute walk from many of the hotels near River Street. Although, there is a lot of construction going on in the area. I had the Battlewagon Double IPA and it was nice, hoppy, and fresh. Overall it was a very solid beer. The atmosphere inside was great with lots of space for hanging out and playing some games. The outside patio was open as well as the weather was nice when I was there. Overall, if you're into craft breweries, definitely check out this place and make an evening of it. read more

While my wife and visited Savannah, Service Brewing was the first stop on our trips to breweries for the day. It was a great start too! I had their pilsner in a can at a friends and did not like it. But luckily visiting the brewery was a nice way to try the other beers to assist in changing my mind. The Compass IPA is by far their best beer, smooth and flavorful. The brewery is very nice, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. A ping pong table, darts, and a couch/large sitting chair area make nice accents to the standard high tops and bar stools. Learning that it is veteran owned is also nice, and being able to mix and match a 6-pack of cans was a great addition as well! Also - the bar stools will NOT tip over! Even if you think they are going to! read more
