Not Tout Suite - bloody Mary's spicy sweet sister
    Renee H.

Smol is a unique bar in the Starland District. It is apart of Two Tides Brewing Company. They are located in the same building right downstairs across from Superbloom. You will see a Smol neon sign in the window by their door. Parking in this area is all on the street. Depending on the time of day it can be difficult. But the good news is that parking is free in the immediate area. The bar itself is small as the name suggests. But what it lacks in space it makes up for in character. You will find throwbacks from the eighties and nineties in the bar. Games which you are welcome to play on shelves. Also a tv with a VCR that they play movies on. There is a bar area with four bar stools. The additional seating is a banquette with small tables. It does not take much effort for the bar to fill with people. The bar shares a community bathroom. You will need to ask the bartender for the key. The drink menu is always interesting. I love the names. There are classics on the menu of course. And you can get beer on tap from Two Tides. Or if you want a Jell-O shot Smol has got you! I had the Not Tout Suite this time. It is described as the Bloody Mary's spicy sweet sister. It was a vibrant orange with a beautiful and spicy rim. I loved it! My only issue with the menu is that each drink needs more of a description. Most of the drinks do not have what ingredients are in them. As a local I love Smol, Two Tides, & Crispi! I return again and again to them all.

    Little games throughout the bar.

SMOL is a cute 80s/90s throwback bar. The decor is great! It's not a place for the whole crew, but a cute place for your closest friends or a date. There are only 3 bar seats, and room for about 8 more in the booth. There are board games around the wall to entertain you, which was nice while we had a quick drink. The drinks are good, and not overpriced. SMOL is located just beside Starland Yard and a great please to sneak away from the crowd.

Smol but mighty!! I absolutely love this place! It's owned by Two Tides and I love the fact that they come out with a ton of drinks and will carry Two Tide beers as well. I came here when they first opened and have tried a ton of their drinks but my favorite is definitely the ashtray I definitely enjoy it out of a can more than a cup but it's good either way. Highly recommend

It's located on top of The Alida hotel (also one of my fave boutique hotels) in the historic River Street district. I've had the chance to visit The Lost Square both during the winter and this past week during the summer. They have a great view of the river and cozy lounge seating, as well as a full bar. The first time I visited was near Christmas and it was freezing outside, but they had a burning fireplace and the cutest little enclosed glass houses you could sit in to enjoy your drinks. During my recent visit, we had our 1 yr old son with us and decided to have dinner there and enjoy the weather. I had the Valencian Spritz (reposado, orange aperitif wine, fresh orange, white pepper, and cava) which was the perfect summer drink. My husband had the Soft Light mocktail (zero proof gin, papaya, kefir, and saline). For food, we started with the Labneh dip topped with olive oil, za'atar, and honey with fresh pitas on the side. Wow, this has got to be the best pita I've ever had. They were so fluffy, warm, and well seasoned. We even got a second order. The labneh dip was phenomenal -- highly recommend for an appetizer or just a snack. We also shared to the falafel bites and the Alida Burger which was very tasty! We'll definitely be back for another visit the next time we're in Savannah!

What a beautiful picturesque place to have some bites and cocktails!…read more I was welcomed into this moody, velvety spot with a sweeping view of the river. Beautiful glass, marble, deep colors of navy, mauve, and gold. Service was wonderful, felt welcomed immediately. For my appetizer, I had the crab cake with homemade tartar sauce, which was a light, bright way to start the evening. For my entree, I had the filet mignon. The server will tell you, the menu says tapas, but the servings are larger than that. Meat portions are generous at 6 oz. My only complaint is that I ordered my steak medium and got closer to well done. At least the steak was still moist and not dried out, but I would be hesitant to do the steak again. The spinach risotto I had with it was creamy and cheesy, however, so that was nice. Other options for food include burrata, a charcuterie board, grilled shrimp, sea bass, salmon, scallops. The cocktails are the real star here. They fall under the categories "strong and adventurous," light fare," and "signature." Non-alcoholic cocktails are also available. I started with the medusa 1597, under "strong and adventurous." Made with Old Tom Gin, extra dry vermouth, truffle, grapefruit, and amaro, it was extremely strong. A bold, slow sipper I would have done better to have later in the evening, but I still appreciate the complexity of it. I also had the Bella primavera, a lighter cocktail under the signature section. Made with pisco, blanc vermouth, French herbal liqueur, watermelon, and basil leaf. A smoother, brighter, faster sip than the Medusa. And I also had the blood orange martini, made with French vodka, blood orange, lime, and cranberry. A little sweet, but not cloying, and again, would have been a better starter as opposed to a closer. I think when I return, I will ask the bartender to make me off the menu drinks. This place seems creative enough that the outcome would be fantastic. I loved this place. The vibe, the view, the service, the offerings. Can't wait to see what more they have in store.

Ambiance is prohibition bar vibes so a little more rustic and casual. I was a bit annoyed by the hostess. We had a reservation for our party of 6 and arrived about 15 minutes early. I asked if we could grab drinks at the bar and she kept coming up with excuses on why we couldn't stand or sit in certain areas. Finally, I just asked her to come up with a solution because we had 15 minutes to kill and they didn't have a waiting area. Funny enough, she decided then to get our table ready. It was just odd. Our server was from Ukraine so she was efficient and fast. Not super friendly or chatty with us which missed the mark on Southern hospitality and made our experience feel cold compared to our previous dinner experiences in town. I don't fault her for it though as she did her job. We ordered an excessive amount of starters and some of the entrees. The stand outs for me was the crispy Brussels sprouts, roasted bone marrow, steamed mussels, and grilled octopus. Skip any of the bread options. They weren't even toasted. For entrees, we also decided to share them. The pork chop and NY strip were stand outs. We ended up sending back the halibut. It tasted mealy and freeze burnt. Skip the crispy Japanese eggplant. I was expecting a grilled dish and it was actually fried with a thick batter. Too heavy for my liking. Overall, we enjoyed our meal but not somewhere I am dying to go back to.
