disappointing. can never find a DECENT nail placeI tried my best speaking up on how i wanted it in a respectful way. still came out with them looking crusty. as you can see they are not cleaned up! she proceded to file my nails at the very end getting nail dust everywhere(normal) but automatically puts LOTION on my hands? i'm covered in nail dust and you just apply lotion and rub it in? when i walked out to got a good look the nails feel bumpy and sticky and rough ?' like what?? almost 70$ for this? would yall pay? i'm so upset. ( gel mani btw)

Worst/most expensive pedicure. I got gel French and it's genuinely terrible. The tech was entirely too rough. Instead of being relaxing I was on the edge of my seat. My feet soaked for approximately 5 minutes before she began. The pink used is so patchy. The white French is uneven. My nail filed uneven. My toes aren't even fully painted. I've been getting pedicures for 10 years and this is hands down the worst.

Worst gel manicure of my life! The really frustrating part is I knew it would be as it was happening. It was one of those situations where the tech kept asking for my hand after the gel had only cured for about 10 seconds. When I said "the light isn't off yet" she just said "it's fine." I knew it wasn't, but I didn't want to be a Karen so I'd remove my hand. I should have been a Karen. I know my nails are short, but that's not the problem. This picture was two days into the manicure. This absolutely should not happen with gel. I would have gone back to get them fixed but I was on vacation hours away. Which is the whole reason I got the manicure! This is especially irresponsible considering the studies about the dangerous and permanent, incurable medical conditions caused by uncurled gel. Reference: https://www.medicaljournals.se/acta/content/html/10.2340/00015555-3684 DO NOT go here.

Tray with scrub, minty clay, and lotion?

This was my first professional pedicure and the experience overall was a bit disappointing. Typically, I do my own mani/pedis because I'm self-conscious about my feet and really don't feel like dealing with the nail technicians talking crap about my them. Sure enough, I was already nervous when I walked in and the vibes certainly didn't help. I came in wanting a "Special Pedicure" ($43") and added gel, which is another $15. The receptionist was alright. Not welcoming by any means. I figured people would try to give newcomers an amazing experience so that they would become repeat customers, but maybe I'm just being overly optimistic. Lily was my nail tech. When she directed me to the pedicure chairs, the other nail tech was already making fun of me in Vietnamese saying that she (Lily) kept getting fat customers no wonder why she's poor. First of all, I don't know how being overweight correlates with poverty. Secondly, people shouldn't be talking behind people's back. They made the assumption that I can't understand their language and I heard and understood all their rude remarks and complaints, but decided to give them them another chance because I figured maybe they actually do a decent job. They got really high ratings and various people in my neighborhood recommended this place so I decided to give them a chance. Lastly, I'm not overweight. Just because I don't fit the typical beauty standards of Asian and Vietnamese women (petite and skinny) and I'm fit and thicc, they shouldn't be body shaming people. Lily proceeded to comment on how gross my feet was to the other nail tech. The other nail tech disagreed and thought my feet were pretty (thank you). Honestly, I would have done the pedicure myself if my back wasn't in so much pain. I wanted to love this place and this experience so much, but the negative vibes and rude comments really ruined it for me. As she continued to work on my feet, one of the nails got stuck to the heat lamp and ruined the gel polish. She shaved off the lumpy part of the polish and painted over it so the final product is pretty lumpy and uneven. She didn't do a good job cleaning up around my toe nails either - there are dried up paint marks all over the skin around my toes. Curious, I asked her if she was going to scrub my heels because that was supposed to be included. She suggested that I upgrade to the CND package ($65) and it seemed reasonable so I agreed. She pulled out a tray with three different scrubs, lotions, clay, etc. The warm orange liquid in a bag was placed over my feet and it felt really nice. Apparently, it was supposed to make my feet super soft. The clay material that she rubbed on my legs felt pretty cooling and soothing. The hot towel wrapped around my legs were an added bonus (highly recommend!) She rubbed my feet and leg muscles, which was fine. I expected something more relaxing or with more force but she might just lack the strength or ability to do so. It just felt like someone was feeling up my legs. No biggie. The CND package advertised that it would take approximately 55 mins. The entire experience - soak, gel polish, scrub, paraffin, hot towel, foot rub, etc. - took 30 mins. The final damage was $80. I walked in with the intentions of tipping $20, but after the negative experience, I figured $5 was better than nothing. Overall, the experience was meh at best. I could've done a better job at home for free 99 without feeling super uncomfortable and all the insults. The best part was the minty clay stuff that she rubbed around my calves and shin, hence the two stars. I paid for an $80 pedicure but it looks and feels like $20. I'm pretty sure I'm never getting a pedicure ever again. At least not here.

Lemme emphasize that I only let Crystal do my nails. I never have a wait time for my appointments and she's always really attentive and gives great suggestions to any idea I throw her way. She pays so much attention to detail and I've never had a better nail tech. If you go I recommend her 10/10.

Asked for square and got a slanted round shape. Didn't even bother to clean the white she left on my fingers.
    Mia N.

I've been here twice. I literally show pictures of the exact nail shape I want and both times they've done something completely different. When I try to tell them that i don't like them they just get an attitude. I'm paying for a service and I don't want to pay for a service I don't want nor like? Very disappointed, Izzie did this white set. It's not the shape I asked for at all, nails are slanted and round when I asked for a sharp tapered square. so I am pretty annoyed.

    SNS by Jane

It was my 2nd time to come in this salon I love how Jane take good care of my nails specially with SNS.Superb i may say compare to my recent visit with other salon. She is not in hurry doing my nails. She made sure that i will love the length and the designs.I definitely recommended. KUDOS to Crystal as well for doing a fabulous nail care ( mani and pedi) for my 15 year old super shy daughter Even though Crystal barely hear my daughter because she is super shy type,my daughter is very pleased about her nails. She said she will always book her appointment with Crystal.

Pink gel manicure with stenciled white heart. I think it was number 248.

This was my first time visiting this nail shop. A fellow yelper recommended this place. I didn't have an appointment so I just walked right in as soon as they opened. All the staff were very friendly. I liked the fact that they had a huge selection of nail colors and plenty of pedicure chairs. I can't remember my nail technician but he was very nice and did a great job on my nails and toes. I definitely will be returning... 4 stars because of the huge language barrier, it took him awhile to understand how I wanted my nails.

Full set with gel.. could have been closer to my cuticle
    Tiffany D.

This review is for Tiffany the nail tech! I received a recommendation to come here, but they didnt specify which tech to use. My first time in, I got lucky with Tiffany and have been going to her since whenever I come in. She does amazing work. I can bring in a picture and show her what I want and she replicates it, while still making it signature to me. She has the most bubbly personality, and creates an atmosphere that is comfortable and relaxing. ---- To add on, all nail techs are not created equal. I tried a new person when Tiffany was out , and I was not very pleased with my nails. The work was a bit sloppy and the shapes of my nails didn't match. Even still, I would recommend this shop. It's clean, updated, and they have candy at the front desk! :)

I was under the impression that they were more expensive than other places but once I began my membership I realized I was completely wrong. I automatically pay each month for a 60min massage and I can add additional massages at the membership rate if I get impatient and need another massage inbetween my regular appointments. I accidentally scheduled my appointment with Joe when I made my initial appointment and am so glad for that! He is amazing! When I say accidentally, I just mean that I intended to schedule with a female therapist but then selected an appointment time on Joe's schedule. They called me to confirm if that was okay and I just rolled with it. I have been seeing him at least once a month ever since. I have been getting massages since before I even had a license. Joe is the most consistent therapist I ever had. I prefer deep tissue massages and I get just that...for the entire 60 minutes unlike some massages where only here and there feels good. Joe is professional and always checks in before each session to determine if there are any specific spots he should focus on. Prior to leaving I always get my next appointment on the calendar. The customer service here is great. Because they are super small and don't always have someone at the desk, I typically have to leave a message when calling. I always receive a call back within the hour. I have had to call to reschedule an appointment or two and never had an issue. I highly recommend checking them out. If you are a deep tissue person, give Joe a try!

My original appointment was scheduled for April 16, but when I arrived the receptionist could not find my reservation. My best friend, who booked it for me, eventually helped them locate it, but by then my appointment time had already passed. I was told it would be rescheduled for April 22 at 12 PM. When I returned on April 22, another receptionist, Precious, told me there was no appointment in the system again. I was then told my original holding fee had already been used, but I could receive a refund after speaking with management if I placed another holding fee for a new appointment on April 23 at 2:30 PM. After finally attending the April 23 appointment, I asked about the refund I had been promised and was then told by another employee that I could not be refunded even though all of these issues were caused by staff errors, not me. I came for a massage to relax during the final weeks of pregnancy and instead left feeling frustrated and more stressed. The lack of organization, poor communication, and conflicting information from staff was extremely disappointing. A spa should be peaceful and professional, but this experience was the complete opposite.

-1000/5 stars. TLDR: I booked my appointment over the phone and stupidly gave them my card (which…read morethey require). I had to cancel last minute due to work, the salon took all the money they could get out of me and threw THEIR OWN policy out the window. Warning- they call it a "fee", it's not just a "fee". Also I guess this place can just charge you whatever once they have your card information. I'm sorry but if I'm unable to make my appointment under no circumstance do I feel like it's fair to pay 100% of the service- nor did anyone declare what they meant by "a fee" over the phone or in the auto-text that came. I called Chesapeake Salon on the day of my hair appointment, I can't help when something last minute comes up at my job- and I realize and fully accept that I was going to pay a fee for messing up the schedule/wasting a salon expert's time. I will happily pay a fee, but 100% of it? They used zero (0) product on me- spent no time on me- and I'm expected to pay $200 for nothing! + { It goes against their website's own policy.} I would have totally been okay with paying half- maaaybe a little more. But I'm absolutely angry about this "fee". This is not fair and I was under the impression that I would not be paying full price. Heck, when I called- they had to ask "what were you getting done?" Completely unprofessional to not know what a client wants and to arbitrarily assign a price. A price that was never agreed upon might I add. ** Also also, nowhere was it overtly stated that I'd have to pay 100% of the service otherwise I'd have told my office that "no- I can't stay behind and help out today". If you go looking for the policy on their website you'll finally see what they mean by "fees" and it's sneaky how they fail to mention it + they fraudulently charged me- and that even by THEIR OWN policy! But more on that in a second... Over the phone while making the appointment they use vague language like "you'll have to pay a fee" like, I personally expect a fee to resemble 70-100 bucks. I should have noticed the red flags. They didn't tell me once that I'd be paying for a full service and not just a "fee" upon cancellation and these things shouldn't be used synonymously it's just misleading. A service they profit 100% from with 0 loss of product, 0 effort of their own. And yeah- argue all you want that I'm a time slot wasted. That I know and I agree. But a fee was what I was willing to pay, a full service slap in the face- no. Update 1: So yeah, I checked my bank account and that $200 is pending for a service I absolutely did not receive. Does this mean I'm owed product? Update 2: Still mad about this, went to the internet to look for their policy on their "fees". Their own website policy says I should have only been charged 50% because I called with less than 24 hour notice- their own words. They charged me 100% as if I were a no-call/no-show per their website. Weird- cause that's not at all what happened- because I certainly called and talked to someone within the 24 hours who TOLD ME I'd be paying them full service- before the time of my appointment. It didn't say "within 24 hours but no less than 3 hours before the appointment" for the 50%. Sketch-city. Do business here if you like the idea of a place treating others like trash. Update 3: The shady nature of this business knows no bounds. I saw another negative review here saying they have "wiped clean" other reviews they didn't like from Google. (That is where this original post lives) And so to protect my post I've saved it, their policy (with a time stamp) and I'm documenting the shenanigans with great interest. NEVER give a business your debit card especially over the phone and BEFORE you've even received service. I've learned my lesson and I hope this helps anyone especially during this time where money is tight and getting charged this absurd amount literally changes things completely. There's so many salons in this area (and these other places do not require card info up front) we do not need this abuse.

I circled something and tried to make the "No" sign on it, but they didn't understand. Let me explain: except for the young man who staffs the front desk, English seems limited at least for the two masseuses I've had. So I had a bit of a time explaining my exceptionally tender Achilles tendon that can't be touched. On my third visit, I took a photo from a website, on which I drew the "NO" symbol around the area. I was a little afraid to offend someone but they actually seemed to appreciate it. All three massages were out of this world for excellence. I tried the hot oil and stones for the second; it was nice but I won't have it every time. I'm going once a month to treat myself, and an hour at $75 is such a good price for how great I feel afterwards. I always tip well, too - and then the total hits my budgeted limit. The oil and stones are only $15 more, so I plan to do that every 3rd time or so. Splurge! I had two with Ivy and asked for her but she was on vacation for my third. I believe that masseuse was named Gloria. She was also very, very good.
