This was by far my worst nail salon experience. First of all, I did not appreciate the attitude of the technician. I simply asked how long she had been doing nails, and her response was, "Do you want me to do my job?" I was shocked--what kind of customer service is that? During the service, she pulled on my fingers roughly, which was very uncomfortable, especially since I've had an accident in the past and gone through physical therapy for my fingers. I mentioned this, but she continued. On top of that, I was not happy with the shape of my nails--my left and right hands do not match. While I know she tried, the result was uneven. When I asked for the total, I was told $79, which seemed high, but I paid. After leaving, I realized they had not given me a receipt and even called me back asking for cash payment. When I returned, I saw they had added an extra $15 "take-off" fee--which makes no sense, because I had absolutely nothing on my nails before starting. They also charged me $8 for shaping, which in my experience is not a separate fee. This was my first and last visit here. It was uncomfortable, disappointing, and unprofessional. My advice: always ask for your receipt and double-check the charges before paying. read more

Great nail salon with friendly workers. They open at 9am which is great when you need to pop in before work. Fair prices on par with other locations. They have a huge selection of polish colors and brands to choose from. The salon itself is beautiful, clean and inviting. They offered me water or wine upon my arrival. i showed the person who did my nails an inspo picture of what i wanted. they were very simple. i kept telling the girl exactly how i wanted them and they still turned out nothing like what i showed. and on top of this i used to only pay about 60-65 dollars without tip for similar nails every time i went, and this time i had to pay 93 dollars for nails that looked terrible and overpriced them completely!! this might have also been because i was with my friend and we are younger so i feel like we may have been being taken advantage of. read more

Back in June, I stopped here on my way to check myself into the hospital in Annapolis because I was no longer in remission. I needed a pick me up and wanted to feel pretty one more time before the biggest fight of my life. Sonny and the guy at the front desk treated me like absolute trash beneath their feet. They were the most disgusting, vile nail technicians I've ever encountered in my life. I've never felt so small. I didn't look my best coming in, I was sick. The way Sonny did my nails, didn't pay attention to details, cut corners, and sent me on my way was insulting. When I asked him to clean up the edges a little, he gripped my fingers so tight I cried. I asked to leave and not fix them, I went to check out and said I cannot in good faith pay for the service and the guy at the front desk mocked me and called the police. I asked for the owners number and he refused. I waited until the police arrived and the police explained that not paying was theft. I told the police I will pay if I am given the owners number, and they facilitated the exchange. I sat in the parking lot and spoke to the owner as the front desk guy screamed at me 'nice try' and 'you did did good' and the owner was absolutely polite, apologetic and accommodating. He offered a refund and to drive up in an hour and personally re-do my nails. At this point the shame, stress and already exacerbated illness prevented me from staying but the acknowledgment was appreciated. The first thing I wanted to do when I got better was tell my story. I will never walk through these doors again. Sonny and the other guy should not work again until they receive empathy and communication training or even just not work here at all. They damaged the brand with their awful characters. To employ these two is a disservice. read more

He took at the powder and continued to dip. I said I requested gel. He dipped another finger. He then proceeded to use Gel. After done I spoke him about the bumpiness. He attempted to fix one hand. The service here is not good. They are nice at first but cannot do nails well. The guy that did my nail was really rude and the turnout on the full set was horrible. I asked him to reshape it and he said he was tired and my two options were that he cut my nails off, give me a refund and leave or I come back another time because he wasn't going to change what he did. Save your money. Paid 20.00 extra per toe (2 toes) for acrylic on them only to get fungi two weeks later. I was told by the doctor that they did not file my nails properly and did not dry them before applying acrylic, which caused fungi!!!!! They also did not take all the dead skin away during the pedicure. Also, didn't shape toes correctly. My pinky toe nails were halfway polished. Terrible and expensive! I came in at 7 on a Saturday, and they were ready to leave because they didn't have any customers. Kim did my pedicure and Thu did my manicure and eyebrow wax. I was just going to get a clear polish on my nails, but they suggested the dipping powder for my nails. I've never tried the dipping powder, but I'm so glad I did. Thru took her time and did my nails and explained the entire process. She also advised if I had any chips within a week or two to come back and she would fix them for free. Fun friendly atmosphere with good nail technicians! I've gone a few times on Mondays and usually it's just me and my friend , alone. I walked in and forgot it was a holiday! (Indigenous day) And It was very very busy. They apologized and everybody was doing everything they could to get to everyone and leave no one waiting too long. The greeter or front desk person was running around assisting every nail technician to the best of her ability. Also, asking every guest if they want water or needed anything Each Nail technician knew that they were busy and people were waiting, I really appreciated that they spent good quality time with each customer. I respect that. And I waited patiently. Even though I got moved to three different chairs, I was totally fine with it. Everybody was working as hard as they could and I'm sure they never had a break either. I wound up with Kimberly, and she's one of the best technicians I have had since 2014 when I started going to nail salons. She is extremely gentle with a drill, takes her time. and does excellent work. The reason why I took one star away, and it's pretty much a dealbreaker for me, but everything was so phenomenal, however, if you have gel nails or dipping powder, nails, they soak you in a bowl, full of hot water and acetone! First of all, it's not a comfortable combination. Second of all my fingers from my knuckles to my nail beds were white and dried like sandpaper. Not to mention the toxic fumes coming up from the bowl was very overwhelming and made me a bit nauseous. (I am used to the cotton balls foil wrap process.) it isolates to acetone to just the nail bed only. I've been home for five hours, and the tips of my fingers are still throbbing from the acetone, soak, and then the process of doing your nails with the drills and the sanding in the filing, are very sore right now . Some people can tolerate it some people can't. For me until they do the foil wraps with cotton balls I don't think I'll be back. And I'm saddened because I really like the place and I was extremely happy with Kimberly. read more

When I was seated the guy told me he knew how to do the design so I felt confident. He started to put the acrylic on and he didn't go all the way up to the cuticle on my thumb, but he did it perfectly for all the rest of my nails. I was confused at the moment, but I didn't say anything. He continued to do what he needed to do and I mentioned why it wasn't all the way up to the keto call and he didn't give me an answer. Very disappointed with my service today. I came in for a full set. I had a design in mind with a reference picture that I showed my artist ahead of time to make sure it was possible. She said very quickly "yes" and took me back. When applying the powder acrylic, my nails began to burn uncontrollably. I told her and she sprayed them with water which only semi helped. After she finished shaping the acrylic I realized the tips she used for my nails were not sized correctly and my natural nails are showing still on the sides. Me trying to "trust the process" I didn't say anything. She then proceeds to the design and quickly realizes she can't do it. She tells me she won't be able to do it today because she "did not have the proper brush" which kind of threw me for a loop. I made sure to check before proceeding with this design and he confirmed she could do it. I explained I would have chosen something completely different had she just told me upfront she wasn't confident with the design I presented. Now I'm stuck with the nude base and didn't have time to completely start over. I told her to slap on some clear coat so I could go. I ended up paying $50 for a crappy full set with no design. It is a gorgeous space but I felt the service from the technicians was sub par at best. I spent over $200 for a variety of services and I cannot say I love my nails or the service I received. My technician was easily distracted and didn't seem to understand what I was looking for. I had to pivot because I didn't believe I was going to get the nails I was looking for. They are crooked, my boyfriend said he could have had better massage on his legs from the machine at the mall. I'm going to say I probably will not be back. read more
