We have been going there for about a year and we have watched this business go down hill. It was gotten dirtier and dirtier. Every two weeks when we would go you never had one person do your nails. They would shuffle you from one person to the other. One at least 3 occasion in their haste they cut my fingers or toes. Never did they even say I'm sorry they would just laugh and pour something from a small bottle to stop the bleeding. The last time we were there they charged us $30.00 more for the same service. Without even telling us that they raised the prices. All of a sudden there were all these extra charges. I'm not going back. I'm not paying extra for poor service I called the guy who was supposed to be the owner, he promised a call back that never happened. Someone is going to get hurt or sick from the lack of cleaning here. What a shame. read more

Ok this place has horrible customer service! Eva did my nails and she did a good job however at the end she told me to go somewhere else because "I made her too tired" and "she does it her own way". This is because I pointed out any imperfections and told her exactly what I wanted (like plz be careful of my cuticles) and that was too much for her. That is dreadful customer service and I will make sure my mom and friends don't return to this place. Their loss. I would give negative stars if I could !!!!! And trust me I hardly do reviews but I was shocked! I moved here recently and needed to find a new nail place. As everyone knows, when you move it is usually a pain in the rear to find a place you like. Score!! On my first try I found a great lil shop. It's small and it certainly isn't fancy ( hell, it shares a entryway with a chinese restaurant. lol) But they do a BANG UP job on your nails and pedicures! Super nice folks, fast, friendly and affordable! You really cannot ask for better than that but as a bonus, they have a HUGE selection of gel polish as well as non gel. Great Place!! read more

I'm new to the area and was very nervous about finding a new nail salon. I am very picky and have had far too many horrible gel manicures or awfully shaped nails (for some reason, anything that isn't really round or really square is foreign to a lot of nail techs!). But the reviews for this place were all great and I'm so glad I just went for it! I had a (long overdue) pedicure and a gel manicure and both are great. And my nails are the perfect shape! This place isn't overly fancy, but I was in and out in just over an hour with great looking nails. And their prices are a steal for the quality of the work. I really like this place. Low key, inexpensive, they have a ton of polish options, and they are very accommodating. Tonight I called to ask when they close and they told me that they would be there when I got there. After I had my nails done, they said to just make sure I always call before I come to make sure someone is there because they basically stay open until there are no more customers. I have been coming to this location since the late 90s when VO owned it. Through the yrs it's had multiple changes in owners but the service has always been top notch. The owners for the past couple of yrs. not so much. Lyn tries to be nice but Eva is out and out nasty. They choose who they want to give service to. On several occasions I have been bumped (even with an appt) or made to wait while they worked on others who came in after me. I have always tipped very well and been extra appreciative and patient which got me nowhere. I'm done. They are sneaky. You've been warned. There are a lot of other nail salons out there that treat you like you should be treated. Shout out to Hana Nails across the street from them. I love them! read more

In less than a week half of my nails have broke.Within two days I already had 3 of them break while just sitting at home. I went back and was told I needed to pay $3 per each nail I wanted fixed. I told one of the nail techs that I just paid $20 for a fill in and should not have to pay again already. She told me it was my fault they broke because they were long, which is not true. I have had long nails for years and went 3 or 4 weeks sometimes without them even breaking. When I told her I wouldn't pay to have my nails fixed for their mistake, she told me to pay or get out. I was looking to get a mani pedi but didn't want to travel too far from home. I was lucky to find great reviews for Extravagant Nails online, so decided to give them a try. I was greeted with a friendly welcome by one of the staff and was promptly brought back to the comfy massage chairs to get my pedicure. The salon itself was clean, bright, and cheery. The staff was very meticulous in cleaning up my cuticles, filing, and painting my nails. Also, since I was a first time customer, I was given a complimentary design on my ring fingernails. Upon leaving, I was given a coupon for my next visit. I will definitely be back again and am so glad to have found a great nail salon close to home! read more

I went here today for the first time and found out they are under new management as of 6months ago. They offer a discount for the first time you come there so I got a regular pedicure and gel manicure for $50 which is normally $55. They will bundle different things together to give you a discounted price such as getting your eye brows done too. I am very picky wen it comes to my nails, I'm prob one of the few people who likes my as short as possible and round. Eva shaped my nails and you can tell she is a perfectionist= I'm extremely happy. One of the older ladies was getting ready to pay and Eva noticed the lady must've dinged them and immediately brought her back to one of the chairs to fix them. A nice gentleman, I don't recall his name, did my pedicure and the first things in touched were that they use a new packaged set on everyone. Normally when I get a pedicure anywhere it seems like the massage part is them just applying the scrub mainly. He actually did a mini foot massage, and I was pleasantly surprised. Visiting from out of town and needed a mani pedi. Looked on Yelp and settled on this nail salon. Called to inquire as to how they clean their implements. Good answer was overnight by the proper machine. Made the appointment. Showed up at appointment time and was immediately taken to the pedi chair. Eva began pedi and Lynn came over to do nails. Both did a great job. They cut my nails exactly as I requested. By making the appointment I had missed the rush so had both ladies to myself. It was very nice. I Prices reasonable too. I strongly do not recommend Extravagant Nail Salon in Pasadena, MD. Their nail designs are outdated and they cannot do any of the latest nail designs/trends. Eva was my nail technician for a while and I was ok with her work however, she became increasing unhappy and miserable, complaining the entire appointment. One day, I was getting my nails done during a scheduled appointment. She started working on someone else's nails at the same time. She rushed me to make a decision about the color. Her behavior was very unprofessional. I quickly schooled her about good customer service. I did not take the way she treated me personally because, she treats her sister that way too. I stopped going for about 1-1/2 year. I decided to give her another chance. I made a 10 am appointment for Sunday/June 24, 2019. When I arrived, Eva and her sister were working on clients. There were no other nail technicians. Needless to say, I left immediately. I went to Tommy Nails in Glen Burnie. My mom and I were pleased with the professional and excellent service that we received. We got some really awesome designs. Also, Extravagant Nail Salon is smelly and in desperate need of a renovation. I would suggest that they take customer service classes however, I don't think it would help because they don't even know what it means to treat others with basic dignity and respect. read more

Always nice and are able to get me in and out quickly, which is what I like. They do a good french manicure with the gel, which is my favorite and not everyone can do french tips well. Highly recommend. Small place but with good people, this is definitely a hidden gem in Pasadena. read more

I have been here two times the first was very pleasant. The owner is really good and gave my friend their student discount, and was very friendly. The second time she had another lady working on taking my gel polish off while she did my friends. The lady clearly was new and looked totally lost, and vocalized her discomfort of working on me but the owner didn't care. The girl was nice but she butchered my nails trying to take off my polish. She clearly had no idea what she was doing and was digging the electric bit into my nails (which did not feel good) then kept hitting the tops of my nails, completely sanding down the tips/points of them (my nail shape is stiletto, so this was very upsetting for me). I voiced this to the owner and she did the best she could of making them pointy again but they were still pretty uneven and just did not look as good as when I walked in. She is very nice and usually really good. (Also she is very rough when filing, hurting me quite a few times so just be warned if sensitive!) read more

This place looks dingy from the outside, but I came here because of the good reviews here. I only saw two employees here when I visited. Thus, I had to wait awhile. I got a pedicure and waxing for my eye brows. The pedicure was OK, run of the mill, nothing to write about. However, the waxing job was horrible! The lady did not have a license for waxing and just did a terrible job. She just doesn't know how to shape an eyebrow. However, she was trying to be really nice and overselling herself.
