I love this salon and have been using Hana Nails for five years!! I'd like to comment on the review about the owner and staff being rude, as well as them asking customers to use Venmo/Zelle as a payment method. First of all, credit card fees can be super expensive, so this is a better alternative. Second, I like the fact that they don't bother customers with unnecessary dialogue. They take the approach that customers are there to truly relax, not become friends with the staff, so they respect this! There can be banter in the background amongst the staff that can come across as mean, but it is their tone and language, that's it! No different than other tones of people from northern cities. I believe in giving people a chance. I don't write reviews after a one time experience. Fine if you just don't want to go back, but don't judge and give them bad publicity! They are hard working people trying to make a living and run a successful business. I think they do a damn good job!! Keep up the good work Hana Nails!! read more

Love getting my nails done here. There is rarely ever a long wait. I have had 3 different techs the past 4 times I've been. They have each been super quick but do an amazing job. Hi, 1st of all my general thought about this nail salon is so suck. The owner treated employee like their servant that turned them stress out while doing nail job for the customer, even the nail tech were so nice. You will see their funeral welcome face when you walk into the shop, while I be there looking for a relaxing time, I always have to listen to him yelling at the all techs loud and noisy. Final thing, the owner seemed not so happy when people ask to pay by card, somehow they always find the way to milk cash from the customer to mainly avoid tax for his business. Venmo or cash app used to be for tipping for the nail techs after getting the nail job done, since then the owner wanna take advantages of it to take all cash from the customer. What a worst nail shop I've ever been to. I am still trembling while writing this review. Never recommend to stop by this shop. read more

Came for an eyebrow wax and pedicure. It was suggested by the technician to get a gel pedicure as she said it would last longer which it did. I decided to try this place out after my regular technician was out of town. Based off of the pictures and reviews I was hoping to have a pleasant experience. I should've just waiting for my regular technician to come back. I got dip powder and the job was RUSHED. Including the guy getting up multiple times for various reasons it took him all of 20 minutes at best. Then when I went to pay the price was inflated and he charged my credit card incorrectly and wasn't going to give me a receipt copy until I asked. To make things worse two days later abs my damn nail cracked. Lesson learned to say the least. This place is so great, honestly. First off, the decor is beautiful! Out of all the nail salons i've been to in Pasadena, Hana Nail and Spa gave me the best results by far. I got a full set of acrylics today. They take their time on each and every nail, and the result is exactly what I wanted. I showed him a quick google picture and he recreated it perfectly, color, shape, and even length! Which is a usual problem I run into at other salons in the area. For the manicure that I got, which included three different colors, I paid $40, which is very reasonable in my opinion. The vibe of the whole salon so friendly and their color selection is great. I had zero wait time without an appointment. And since it's close to the holidays they even gave me a cute little gift bag with a very nice lotion in it, which is so sweet and just shows how much they care about each and every customer! 110% recommend and will for sure be coming back!!! read more

I have been here twice. The first time was for dip nails only, and then a pedi/ dip nails the second time. I had a small issue with my nails lifting in the back. I went by to see if they could smooth out the back. I was more than pleased with the manager filing them down, fixing a small crack AND making them all look new. He apologized many times, but it definitely wasn't his fault. the lady who did my nails also did a great job, it was just a small issue. We even get greeted by name when we walk in the door. I've been going there for a few months now and I love it! Our nails always look great - fingers and toes! My sisters and I visited Paul's for the first time on Saturday. We made an appointment a few days in advance and didn't have to wait at all. We all had pedicures and manicures and had such an amazing experience. Yvonne and Tina are so good at what they do! I expect my nail polish to chip pretty quickly when I don't get gel manicures, but this time the polish hasn't budged - even with Easter egg dyeing and washing dishes several times!! I am very impressed! The salon is very clean and offers a wide range of services to please anyone, and is extremely affordable! By the end of the appointment, we felt like we had known them for years. I will be bringing my bridal party of 10 women with me in October when I get married!! Can't wait to go back. read more

This was the absolute WORST nail salon experience I've ever had. The older guy did my fill-in, I asked for them to be cut a little and he filed them down so much that he burned my finger with the file. I came in at 3, he made sure to let me know in the middle of doing my nails that they closed at 5 to rush me out. He filed my nails into U shapes and quickly kept putting them into the gel machine so I couldn't see them. At the end I couldn't ask for it to be fixed because again, they were closing. After leaving, he had the nerve to come out to my car as I was leaving and ask for more money from my sister because he "charged her incorrectly." I will NEVER return. read more

I'm have mix feelings on this place. With two children, I don't go to get my nails done so maybe it's just me. I made a appointment for 6:30 for mani with full sets and pedi. I arrived on time and they were a little busy but nothing crazy. I didn't get service until 7:15. While talking to the nail tech to figure out what I wanted, she made me feel awful when she found out I was still getting a full set of mani. They kept arguing in foreign language and I asked, is that ok? I would of just said forget the mani but I'm a wedding this weekend. When it came time for my mani I had to wait for another tech. At this point when I got him, he would work on my nails then argue with another tech. He even left me, went to the register where the other tech was checking out a dissatisfied customer and pushed him away from the register. I'm all about professional image. You don't fight with your co workers and let them take care of the problem unless they ask for help. He did this all night long with the other tech. I love my nails but took 2 hrs on a wed night, they made me feel like a inconvenience and I didn't appreciate the arguing in foreign language and consistently getting up to leave me. read more

Awful experience. I wanted a simple pedicure and it took 2 hours from the time I walked in until I walked out. The technician kept leaving to work on other people so the water and towels got cold. She barely spent any time doing the massage, which I paid extra for, and the polish application looked like a child did it. My first and last time coming here. read more

This place is awesome! I drive by this place all the time and so today I decided to stop in and was immediately greeted by the entire staff! The staff was very courteous and didn't rush me to pick out a color. I got a pedicure and the SNS nails and a wax. The pedicure was fantastic and I've never had better manicured nails in my life! They take their time and are very precise. And for the wax it's quick and simple and was at first a bit warmer than I'm used to for my face but better than cold wax! I had to have Paul remove the design because it was nothing close to the normal design i get for the summer time. Hana Nail & Spa I went to this place for the first time. I wanted to try the dip powder manicure. From the description it is supposed to feel more natural and you don't need to use the UV light like you do for the gel polish. However, I was very disappointed with my manicure. I don't like how thick acrylic nails are, so I asked the woman at the spa and she told me that the powder would be thin. My nails are so thick and uncomfortable they actually hurt. They look so fake. I waited a day to give this review to see if they felt better. They are still uncomfortable. I am so displeased and I will not be going back. Also, they still used the UV light to dry the clear coat. I asked when I realized what she was doing, she said is it a problem? I told her I guess it's too late since she was already finished a hand. It was funny because there was a poster behind her advertising the natural feel of the powder and the benefit of not having to use the UV light. I had to work today, but I want to go back and have them removed. I really am disappointed with the false advertisement from the spa and the women that work there. My nails look incredibly fake and worse they feel absolutely horrible and very uncomfortable bordering on painful. I will not be going back. read more
