So important to have a consistent and reliable esthetician. I've been to their Odenton, Annapolis, and Crofton locations but whatever my esthetician goes I will schedule there follow her! It's a relationship like no other honestly and one of three people to know you that personal level. read more

I have been to this salon many times. Up until recently I had a good experience. I had a wax procedure a few days ago and the tech ripped my skin off. I experienced( still am) a lot of discomfort. After she was done she mentioned the area seemed irritated. If it seemed irratated why did she mention it afterwards instead of before and tell me to come back another time ? I will not be back and I do not recommend this salon. read more

I've been to commercial wax locations before and didn't enjoy my experience/result, and therefore learned how to wax myself. I dropped by here since I'm in town temporarily and pregnant. This place has phenomenal service! It is unlike any other waxing place I've been to before, and makes me wish this was local. The vibes inside are super cute, girly, and welcoming. Kim was fantastic, and walked me through the whole process before we got started. She was incredibly thorough, gentle, and efficient. I'll definitely return while I'm in town. read more

Absolutely adorable. Treasured small business that truly caters to their clients. The staff is the best and each provides the ultimate care and waxing experience. The entire process is 100% sterile and clean from start to finish (NO DOUBLE DIPPING HERE LADIES). They have a bathroom on premise. They give you all the information you need up front before you undress and then boom, you're done. Easy process and it doesn't hurt. They use top-notch products and provide discounts. read more

Friendly staff. Easy booking. Great happy hour rate. And a beautiful space. They really made me comfortable during my waxing appointment.

Yup, I'm still giving Doll Wax Salon 5 stars. I feel it's only right to give a new review because: 1. The Gambrills location has moved to Odenton and 2. We're currently in the midst of a pandemic so of course some things have changed, at least for now. I love the new location. They are located in the Town Center in Odenton right near the Marc train station. The new space is much bigger than the previous one with more waxing rooms. COVID procedures: You must wear a mask while inside the building. When you go inside, you fill out a waiver form and they take your temperature. If they are still busy with another client, they may ask you to stand outside or wait in your car until they are ready for you. They only let the client in who is being serviced so don't bring any friends or kids to tag along. I believe they usually ask you not to bring kids anyway prior to COVID. They may not perform certain services on your face that would require the removal of your mask. Same great service with friendly people. Personally, I have my favorites. I see Kim for Brazilians and Karyn for eyebrows. Long story short, once I find someone I like or feel comfortable with, I stick with them. read more

I was a little skeptical when I saw that they use soft wax with strips?? But upon entering this place a quickly want me over move over European wax!! This just might be my new place to go get my wax done if I'm able to see Miss Kim!! My daughter and I were in desperate need of an under on wax and I usually go with a full Brazilian. However I am new to the area and had to go somewhere quick and thanks to the great yelp I found this place!! I have been getting a Brazilian for approximately seven years and today it was probably one of the best services I have ever had hands-down I'm not sure what kind of wax it is but the wax leaves your skin looking and feeling absolutely beautiful I just wish I had some more stuff to exfoliate with oh well I will purchase some later in the week. Miss Kim does a great job of talking and making you feel extremely comfortable which for me is important. Especially since with most of my previous factors when I will go to get wax it was just a time to talk story. I will absolutely positively be back. Under arms $20 perfect! $70 is attached for your first Brazilian but each one there after is $55 which is on the money. read more

I love dollhouse wax and have been going here for about 2 years. I've worked with both Kim and Laci and they're phenomenal. The shop is clean and decorated super cute! They often run specials and decorate for the holidays. The prices are just right and I've never had a painful experience here! Love this shop and the work that they do! read more

I was tired of EWCs practices and I'm glad I took a chance and tried this place out. I worked with Kerri. I'm not sure if this makes sense, but this was the most comfortable wax I've ever had. She was gentle, but still quick and effective. The reviews here are true. The facility is very nice and clean. It doesn't feel as "cold" as some franchise wax salons I've been to in the past. The location is easy to find, and there's plenty of close free parking. I highly recommend Doll Wax. read more

Visited the new location in Odenton and it's just as fantastic as the other locations I have been to, but BIGGER! The waxing service is still top notch and I've now been a customer for 4 years. So thankful for the service they provide! They are always professional and you get a punch card for every visit so when you visit 5 times you receive $10 off. I just love this place! read more

I've been going to doll wax for years and I cannot say enough how great this establishment is. The customer service is amazing and the services are greatly priced. Laci does an amazing job. I've been coming to Doll Wax Salon for almost two years now, I still make the trip to Odenton from DC because I only trust this place. Jenna is my aesthetician and she is THE BEST! She makes you feel comfortable and takes her time. But everyone's great here, even the receptionists. They're always so helpful and I've never had an issue with rescheduling or making appointments. Their prices are reasonable also and sometimes even offer deals. Their new location is beautiful. Much bigger waiting area with cute and comfortable seating. Each room is bigger and the bathroom also. I love the decor inside and how open and bright it is! read more

I'm in love with Jenna!!!! I've been coming here for about two years now and I tell all my friends how much I love doll wax salon. I live in Bowie and drive past closer locations just to come to Gambrills for her. I was afraid to get a Brazilian, but had bikini waxes in the past. Jenna talked me through everything, showed and told me what she was doing, and was so friendly that it made the experience bearable. There's signage to read in the wax rooms and their website has all the information. I loved their FAQs page and that appointment booking is online! I receive an email reminder which makes it easy to add to my google calendar. They even started to send reminder text messages my last few appointments! I LOVE THAT. Big points from this millennial for that. read more

Very nice staff. Professional. Clean comfortable rooms. Team made having very un-fun things , seem not too bad! 10/10

I didn't wax very often until I found Doll Wax! My previous experiences weren't all the best. However when I went into Doll Wax I felt like I was in a good place. The decor is adorable btw and they offer light snacks, refreshments, and candy! My first appointment was with Kim K at the Gambrills location; all my subsequent waxings have been with her as well. I'm sure the rest of the staff is amazing but I thought she did a great job from the start. She's friendly, efficient, and definitely makes you feel relaxed. I've had a variety of waxings from my pits to the back of my neck and.. more.. I'm happy with the price, the loyalty rewards and everything so I don't see a point of trying anywhere else again. I have been receiving my waxing services at my hair salon for years and decided I wanted to find a place that specializes in waxing. I'm thrilled I found Doll Wax Salon online. I had questions before I made my first appointment and the scheduler was very helpful. The Odenton location is clean and welcoming. My appointment started on time and my services were complete in 30 minutes. My aesthetician was Maddie, she made me feel safe and she was so kind and friendly. I made sure to book out my summer follow up appointments before I left! read more

Usually I only update my reviews when my star rating changes but I wish I could give this place 10 stars!! I've been going for some time now and each visit gets better than the last! They always have great specials so it doesn't break the bank to stay maintained and the staff is amazing!! They are super personable and sweet which is important when your having such an intimate service done. So far I've had services done by Jenna, Jennifer and Karyn and I love all three!! Their approach at waxing makes it a LOT less painful of an experience than I expected it to be! I always feel like I'm catching up with an old friend when I got in and am chatting with the ladies while getting things waxed. I've moved further away from the salon but will still travel back over to see them, it's so worth the drive! The salon itself is so adorable! The decor is cute there are always refreshments and the music each time I go is the best. I love that it's tucked away by itself which makes parking super simple. I can't say enough how much I love this place! read more

Look who got to 400 reviews...woohoo! Okay, after seeing awesome reviews about this place, I decided I HAD to try it out. Appointments can be made in person, via telephone or schedule city online. Doll Wax is located in Gambrils, a bit off of Rte. 32, near the Post Office, it is in a small strip area, look for the pink sign hanging near the road. The entrance is kind of tricky, just enter the large wooden double like doors and the Salon is on the right. Once inside, it is quite comforting; from the couches, to the relaxing colors. The receptionist makes an attempt to know who you are, totally dig the personal touch. Refreshments are offered, and education is provided regarding any medications that may effect your experience. Waxing rooms are relaxing, with cute sheets, funny pictures, and CHOCOLATE. I mean what girl doesn't love chocolate. The salon generally uses soft wax for all procedures, but will use hard wax upon request and for clean up. Cue possible TMI in 3...2...1... Now this wasn't my first trip to the Brazilian motherland, but what I have discovered in this trip was that it was quite thorough. More so than other higher end locations that I have patronized. Kerri was awesome, applying soothing oils before waxing new areas, and explaining things as she progressed. I believe it was more pulls than I have experiences previously, but it was well worth it at the end. TMI...al fin Doll wax is pretty dope in the fact that they have pretty awesome specials, from Brazilian happy hours, to discounted rates if you come within a specific time frame, oh and a loyalty card!! I think I found my new wax home! read more

I found this wax salon one night via Yelp and was pleased to get a last min appointment via the online booking tool, scheduled for the next afternoon. The next day I was running behind and appreciated the phone call at my appointment time to confirm my ETA. I found from this experience that you do not want to be late AT ALL because it was insinuated that if I had not made it by the time I disclosed, my appointment would be cancelled. I made it by then and was pleased to find a beautifully decorated salon/ boutique, that appeared upscale & clean. The staff wore masks and gave me a pleasant greeting. I signed the required documents & was ushered into a room. The room was clean & comfortable. I was instructed to undress from the waste down & was offered wipes to freshen up and a sheet to cover with, (like the one given for a Pap smear). I was told to ring the cute hand bell on the table when ready. Kimberly was the wax tech and she was very accommodating. She gave very precise instructions & kept the conversation going during my service, which distracted me & made the waxing experience a lot less painful. I was pleased with the results. My appointment was supposed to also include a mask but I was told because I was late I could not receive that service also. Even though I did not get all that I requested, I enjoyed my experience & plan to return in the near future, ON TIME, so that I can receive a full service & take advantage of the discounted waxing when you return within 5 weeks. read more

Hey Dolls, Today was my first time visiting Doll wax salon and I loved it! It's tucked away on a backroad in Gambrills. I enjoyed that it's small and not a chain establishment. It's like a girls best kept secret. My service provider was Lizzy! I loved her aura, she's calm collective and very knowledgable. She made me feel extremely comfortable as she started to explain more about hair cycles and exfoliation. I had a Brazilian. Painful of course but it makes you feel cleaner! They even have socks for $3.00 if you get cold! The nice and fuzzy warm ones. I set up my 5 week appointment for sure! I loved the conversation and the funny pictures in the bathroom! You instantly smile as soon as you walk in. I love this place Thanks Lizzy! read more

Located close to the Gambrills post office Doll Wax is in an area with a few other businesses. Slow down so that you don't drive right past it! Check on Groupon for specials on waxing & the reviews on Yelp are reliable. The shop is very clean, well lit & the receptionist was professional and courteous enough to offer me water and snacks. If you want to give them your email address you can schedule your appointments and be reminded. Today I had my brows waxed, but will return for Brazilian waxing. My services were performed by Jenna. She was quick and painless & pleasant to talk to. The shop has items for sale for post wax maintenance and offer discounts if you buy brow items the day of your brow waxing. To top it off I was fortunate to cash in on their November special of $10 for brow waxing. I was happy with my services, pricing and goodies provided. Check out their website as specials will change or follow on Facebook. read more

I just had my very first wax here and Kerri Easteel did an amazing job! She made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend Doll Wax Salon

Had a wonderful experience here yesterday! I had a bad experience a few years back with REALLY overheated wax so I tread very lightly into the waxing pool. We are getting engagement pictures taken in the next week and I needed someone to clean up my brows quickly- this week of pampering pre-engagement picture shoot is flying by! I booked an appointment online which was super simple. I did accidentally chose Crofton instead of Gambrills, but when I got to the Gambrills salon they so graciously accommodated me. The salon was cute and clean and everyone there was so friendly! Karyn took me back and worked her magic on my eyebrows. She was so kind and they really place a lot of emphasis on pre and post-wax care. I love that they stress this so your experience is the best. I will definitely be trying out other waxing services here in the future! read more

I got a brow wax with Jenna at the Odenton location and I love it! Jenna will be the person I'll be scheduling all my brow appointments with. I have crazy brows and it was really grown out but she made them look amazing and kept it thick but still neat which is how I like them. She also kept it long at the ends and didn't take too much off in the center which is also how I like them. She did all this without me saying much because I don't really say a lot and never really know what to ask for. I just asked her to clean them up and I'm really happy with the results. read more

I go here for all of my waxing needs! Young and hip! Decor is so cute! If you love colors and fun, this is the place! Prices I think are good. They have a frequent visitors card so you get money off of a service after a certain number of visits. They have specials too at times, so you can get savings based on the specials they are having. The girls are all really nice and polite. No problems here. Like any other place you get beauty needs taken care of stick to the person(s) you like or jump around if you want. They have many technicians working for them. I like that I generally dont have problems booking an appt. when I need it. They have 3 locations so lots of staffing. You can book it online too which IS A MUST for me personally because when you get busy you need it to be fast and easy without having to even talk to someone. read more
