This was my first Brazilian and a spontaneous venture. First let me say, I never expected to say, "that was easy!" It was nowhere as painful as I imagined and comparable to an eyebrow wax. A Brazilian is when they wax it all off and she did so phenomenally! Erica is super gentle yet quick and efficient. She is a petite and friendly young lady and she makes you feel very welcome. It is located in the M&T building by Columbia mall. It is elegant and calming when with it's decorations. And very clean! The room is small with pretty purple walls and also very clean. She plays Zen type music so you remain relaxed and is full of light convo to keep your mind off things. Both front and back are included and believe me it's not as painful as you think. She is great and will make you want to make this a routine visit. I'm excited to go back and refer lol. If you call and get voicemail leave a message she is sure to callback and is uber polite. This review is on eyelash extensions only. I wanted to love this place, I really did. After seeing good reviews on Yelp, I made an appointment for eyelash extension fills. The first full set I got were mink and not done here, not knowing that Erica only uses synthetic lashes, I made an appointment and headed in. She commented on how well done my lashes were and began the application. It was quick, painless and Erica is wonderful! When she told me my eyes may burn after I open them, that should have been my red flag, but since they didn't burn, I thought I was good. Less than 24 hours after the appointment, I emailed Erica telling her my lashes were heavy, painful and made my eyelids red. In fairness, she told me to come in if it continued. I didn't, only because her fills were $80 and by day two, three eyelashes fell at once. Yes, 3 lashes at once!!! The full set I got, still looked new after 5 weeks! After this, 2-5 lashes would fall a day. So disappointed in the product I paid for. Especially since the amount of lashes she put wasn't worth $80 and have now ruined my once very long real lashes. Needless to say, I won't be back. She may be good at other services, but don't do the lashes! read more

Erica is really great, professional, and overall created a wonderful waxing experience for me. I was previously going to European Wax, but really happy to have made the switch. She uses the softest wax I've ever felt so it was the least painful waxing experience I've had thus far, which I really appreciated. Since a lot of reviews here spoke very highly of Erica's service.I recently , used a Groupon to try Erica's facial service, I have to admit I was sadly disappointed! I get a facial once every 2 months. So I do know the difference between a good one and an average facial. This was BELOW average:( Cons: The facial lasted for a short time, I was hoping my face would glow after 24 hours, which it did not. She didn't even scrub well or help treat the breakout on the face. I am used to getting a minor neck and face massage to relieve the tension at mu usual spa. None of this happened. Even with a Groupon, at 50% discounted price, I will never go back. Pros: I agree with the other posts, that the environment in spa was very relaxing and her reservation system was easy to use, parking around the location was ample and she was on time and pleasant herself! I've been going to Erica for the past three years and I wont go anywhere else for facials and eyelashes! I receive compliments about my eyelashes from almost everyone I come in contact with after Erica's service! Also her facials always leave my skin GLOWING! Erica's eyebrow waxing has lovely results, always, and she keeps the price very reasonable on my Brazilian waxes - which are virtually painless and super-quick. Moreover, Erica is friendly, accommodating of my schedule and always remembers the details of our conversations. She seems to have a genuine interest in her clientele. I visited Erica for eyelash extensions. I have gotten them in the past and was very happy with my results, however the spa I went to before was 3 times more expensive. Not only that, it took 3 hours to do the initial full set, however it only took Erica 1 hour. I noticed that after a few hours, there was a lot of visible glue on my lashes, and asked Erica if I should try washing them which she told me to do. The lashes quickly fell off within a day or two, and she figured it was because the glue was old. She had me comeback to redo them with new glue. The second time around, results were just as amazing as the other spa- very flirty but natural looking. I managed to not get them wet for 3 days, but as soon as I washed my face, the lashes went haywire! I'm a little concerned about the quality of the lashes. They did not stay curled and started to stick straight out. They were also very rough feeling. The other time I got eyelash extensions I washed them all the time and they stayed curled and they were also very soft and feather like. Erica uses xtreme lashes, and the other spa I went to had their own brand. I know xtreme lashes are very popular, but I was not happy with them. I feel like you get what you pay for. Erica is definitely talented, but I feel like maybe the quality of the products she uses may not be as good and that's why they didn't hold up? I would go to Erica again if I needed eyelash extensions for an event, but if I wanted them for long term use I would I invest in a spa that uses better quality lashes. However, I am more than likely to visit Erica again for a different service. read more

Erica is amazing and is definitely the best Brazilian wax lady in Columbia! I was heading out of town for my wedding and with everything else going on in my head, I completely forgot to schedule a waxing appt. After calling her in desperation the day before I left, she was able to work some magic, move around some clients and got me right in. Wow, I was impressed!!! And then when I got there, and was patiently waiting in the treatment room for the ensuing pain that comes from getting your lady friend stripped clean, I was surprisingly relaxed by the soft lights, music and aromas. First time getting waxed and went with a Brazilian...go all in right! I was not disappointed at all. Was super nervous but was put right at ease from the second I walked in. Went for facial and received full service , never felt rushed .Explained every step of treatment that made me feeled assured that I am receiving expert skilled care. Before treatment my skin feel chafed and dry with blackheads on my nose everywhere and pores look big . After the facial . My face was smooth to touch. Erica Loren is a tiny place. She shares the space w a massage service. The building is located right next to Columbia mall. It's in an office building. Erica is the only employee so when you don't see a lot of appointments that is why. I had a living social coupon for a pumpkin facial. The facial was really nice and Erica was nice. The waiting area is dimly lit and has a nice leather couch. The room itself is nice and lit w a candle. My face felt very nice after the facial. My only complaint was the towel robe that I wore. It seemed very old and very worn. Overall very nice. read more

I've been going to Erica for a little over a year now and I can't imagine my life without her. I used to get Brazilian from another well known spa in Columbia, but I have really sensitive skin and would bleed and burn really bad. With Erica, she uses a different type of wax that, I not only have none of those mishaps but I'm red for only an hour after waxing. I also get my eyebrows and a facial from her. And at first I was hesitant bc I do have eczema and psoriasis on my face but now I don't even have outbreaks of it bc of the facial I received from her! She doesn't over wax my eyebrows like ALL other places, and completely embraces my desire to have full, thick eyebrows. I love this girl and her amazing abilities. GO TO HER! Book ahead. After reading positive yelp reviews I made an appointment with Erica to have my lashes tinted. I have only had this done once before, years ago, in LA. Erica was very nice and professional, worked quickly, and did a great job. I loved having the mascara look without wearing any during my beach vacation. There was some stinging and my eyes watered a lot as she was removing the lash tint, but it went away very quickly. I will definitely return for another tint and additional services! read more

I went to Erica after seeing all the great reviews she gets. I had to schedule an appointment for a month in advance before seeing her but it was well worth the wait. She is very nice, friendly, and professional. I went in to see her for a brazilian wax and it was really great (or as great a brazilian wax can be!) She uses a zinc oxide wax, which is suppose to be less painful - and it was. I have had both soft and hard wax done for a brazilian and this by far has been the least painful. Erica also makes you feel really comfortable and chats with you during the wax, which definitely distracts you from what is actually going on. It is a little pricey ($65) but still not as expensive as other places especially around the Howard County area. I highly recommend her for waxes and I am sure she would be great for other spa services as well! read more

I've been on Yelp many times to read reviews but I never created an account specifically so I can warn the public about the worst documented customer service I have ever received. I guess there is a first for everything. DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS SPA. I have several friends and client who go to this spa frequently and I never thought I would have such a horrible experience trying to get an appointment. I was trying to book an appointment more than 35 days in advance. As a frequent traveler with very busy weekends, I would assume this was good enough timing. Unfortunately the main customer service rep (or whoever answers their emails and phone calls) writes me a scathing email (with exclamation points!!!!) and says I should not have tried booking appointments "last minute". UMMMM EXCUSE ME?!? Booking an appointment more than a month in advance, really?! It's easier to book an intertnational flight than booking a spa appointment with this dim-wit. Apparently none of my American friends and clients have had this problem. But, they're definitely thinking twice about going after I forwarded them the rude emails. Frankly, I can find a better, more efficient and friendlier spa. Aren't I suppose to be relaxing, not pulling my hair out? read more

Wow! The best Brazilian I've had since I started 4 years ago. Seriously, it took her only 15 minutes ( it had been 6+ weeks!) and it was less painful than normal. Furthermore, she didn't have to tweeze anything. When she left the room, I expected to see strays but there was absolutely nothing! It was by far the most thorough and longest lasting wax I've had. She mentioned that she uses a really good wax which adheres to the hair and not the skin and she was right. The regrowth is sparse and barely noticeable. I highly recommend Erica. I just had my first Brazilian wax and I SURVIVED - Thanks to Erica. She was fast, efficient and kept me talking, and actually laughing, to distract me. It was over before I knew it. This was my first time going to the Erica Loren Spa. I had the one hour facial and a brazilian (my first). I was nervous because I am overweight, I always wanted a brazilian, but due to the weight I am self conscience, I decided if I met my first goal of losing 50lbs, I was going to suck it up and go. Erica put me at ease, made me feel super comfortable, we held a conversation the entire time, and that girl is quick. It wasn't bad at all... I was really really surprised (and relieved!) The facial came next, I have had hour facials before, and honestly they are closer to 45 mins since after the mask goes on, they esthetician leaves the room, Erica is actually doing the facial for the entire hour! and she is amazing at extractions! I am now hooked, I will be going back. She has met all my requirements to make me happy, she is quick, efficent, excellent customer service, hygenic and on top of that she is really sweet. read more
