My aesthetician was Ciara. I had my eyebrows, lips, under arms and Brazilian done. At soon as I walked in, I can smell weed on her, especially as her hands were close to my face, and I smelled it on her breathing on me. But that's not the worst. It felt like I was the first customer because the wax was really hot. I had mentioned it to her several times that it was hot and she even told me that she noticed it so when she did my eyebrows but she continued to do my eyebrows and upper lips. She even put more wax on top even after she said that she notice it. I did keep on letting her know that it was still too hot. She asked if this was the first time I've had wax done, and I told her - no. I've been getting waxed for the last 25 years. When I got to my car to check my face, I had large noticeable burnt spots under my eyebrows, both left and right and over my upper lip, both left and right. I went back to the store to show the manager, Francesca Moreira, to complain about the burn spots from Ciara. The manager told me that it looks a little red; and when I told her to look closer and that Ciara actually burnt skin off, she told me that she was not certified to say so or not. It does not take a genius to see that skin was taken from the hot wax. There's a huge difference. I'm not sure how she is the manager of a team of aestheticians, and not certified just to see that Ciara, or other aestheticians, actually took skin off when Ciara waxed my eyebrows and upper lip. I had to ask to talk to the Regional Manager, Tony Badolato, but she only offered to provide me an email. I had to call back several times because she provided two incorrect emails where it was undeliverable because it didn't exist. Finally, the front desk provided me with the correct one. It took 3x times to get a hold of the regional manager. I had to go to work with burnt scabs on my face. I cried upset over the whole experience. Bottom line, I will not be coming back to any European Wax location. This experience destroyed any expectation I might have with any other aesthetician they might have on staff or the managers they hire who don't have training or is certified in the service they provide. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I did get reimbursed but not until after I was asked to provide pictures for proof by the Regional Manager. It was a horrific experience. Never again.

The worst is the managers/owners are completely absentee and make the waxers do double duty at the front desk and take on the brunt of frustrated customers. Cannot recommend this studio enough. Naghmeh is a true artist and a skin care expert. Not only are her facials highly effective, her advice and product recommendation solved a painful skin issue I had on my hands for decades (that dermatologists were never able to help). A few days later, the owner called asking if I could move my time from 11:30 to 11:15. The business is located in a professional center. I arrived at the updated time, but the door was locked. When I called, the owner explained she was running late and was on her way. I was frustrated, as I would have preferred to keep my original time. She arrived eight minutes late and did not acknowledge or apologize for the delay. The henna itself took about five minutes. I strongly recommend wearing a button-down shirt if you get a henna done here. As shown in my photo, the stain is not uniform; some areas are noticeably darker than others. I've had several hennas in the past--many done for free at events and one paid for while on vacation--and this is probably the poorest quality in terms of the stain. While I liked the design itself, I'm unlikely to return due to the inconsistent ink quality and the owner's tardiness after asking me to adjust my appointment. First off, it has been very difficult to get in touch with anyone to make an appointment. I called last Saturday, no answer. I thought maybe they were just busy so I drove up there to see if I could walk in. When I got there the door was locked, no one was there so I left. Later on, I called several times to make an appointment and then finally someone called me back days later to allow me to schedule an appointment. I finally went to my scheduled appointment and everything was fine until it was time to pay. I asked if I could use Apple Pay. I was told no it charges more fees but could use chip instead. My card declines twice. I tried 2 other cards which were also activated, used before and were also declined. I called my bank and the bank says the card isn't activated. The bank activated my card and then they tried the transaction again. Declined again. The owner gets very upset, starts yelling at me and the bank rep because she thinks she's getting charged fees every time it declines. The rep is telling her that only two attempts are shown but they are unprocessed so there wouldn't be a charge. Only charges apply to processed transactions. I tried the two other cards using chip and tap on the Square device and all were declined. At this point I'm pissed off because I have money in the bank and this isn't my problem! I even showed her my bank balance so she knew I have money in my account. I probably didn't need to do that, but I had hit my frustration level. I suggested to her that maybe something is wrong with the Square, maybe it's a bad connection and it's timing out. She says no it's fine it's been working before me. I feel extremely annoyed because I just came to have a service done and pay for my service like I always have and go on with my day and get back home to my family. I even asked if I could just pay her via Venmo or Cashapp or Zelle. She said no. She doesn't have any of those. So finally, I ask if I can just try the Apple Pay system and tap my phone and guess what--it worked. So whatever fees she was trying to get around paying, she probably had to pay anyway somewhere along the line. I gave her a very generous tip, which in hindsight, I definitely should not have. Moral of the story: Don't put up with anybody's CRAP! If business owners you deal with aren't clear and professional about communicating their expectations for their customers when it comes to payment especially, then be sure to ask up front so that you're prepared or don't even bother with them and go somewhere where you won't have to deal with this type of crap. It's no different than owners posting "cash only" or "no Apple Pay" or "No Amex" etc. on their doors and at the checkout desk so people know the expectation from the very beginning. Business owners, please know the details about the payment systems and devices you are using. This was supposed to be a quick, painless and drama-free experience as it had always been for me in the past, but unfortunately I didn't get that this time around AND paid for it WITHOUT a thank you nor an apology. Just plain rudeness and extreme unprofessionalism. On top of it, another customer came in behind me and the lady who provided my service started talking shit about the situation to her! It's sad and disappointing, but it's definitely not surprising. It's quite apparent to me that the professionalism has been lacking at this establishment over the years and it all came to a peak today. It saddens me to have to leave this review and go elsewhere, but I WILL NOT be yelled at and abused by anyone, especially where I spend MY hard-earned money. I know for a fact there is plenty of talent in this area that will provide exactly what I need without the unprofessionalism, hassle and the abuse. My time and my money is just as good and just as important as anyone else's! Take heed and proceed with caution.
