Don't get the plus member plan as they will find new ways to charge you fees constantly. Don't come in one month and it's $15, no surprise there but your invoice will be aggressive in stating that it is overdue the second it's sent to you. And that $15 you pay for the membership, better do it in January only because it's not for a year from when you started, it's due every January. So my membership that started in September still has to be renewed in January for another $15. I am not renewing just to find out all the other ways they plan on screwing me over. The worst is the managers/owners are completely absentee and make the waxers do double duty at the front desk and take on the brunt of frustrated customers. Must be nice to sit in your palace funded by bad business practices and the labor of others. Speaking of the waxers, Christina is absolutely amazing and the best waxer I've ever had. I am definitely ditching The major wax chain I used prior and supporting this wonderful waxing business from here on out! I scheduled my appointment online and snagged a last minute appointment for a Saturday morning with Madi. I arrived about 15 minutes early for my appointment and she was able to take me right away. I paid for my services prior, which I appreciate. Nothing like a bottle neck at the front desk, with all your patrons trying to pay at the same time. The decor in the Beauty Lab is beautiful. If it very minimalistic, homey and comfortable. Most importantly, it is very clean! In fact, the kind gentlemen at the front desk was cleaning when I arrived. This is my second time coming to this establishment and I have to honestly say that I love it here! Ariel is an awesome aesthetician. She does a wonderful job and take her time. Which means a lot and very educational! The establishment itself is wonderful and so calm and friendly. I heard a lot of good reviews about the other waxers and they do a good which I mean speaks for itself. They offer a lot of different waxing, along side treatments you can do. They also have products that you can buy and use after your sessions for different treatments of at home skin care. What I like the most about Beauty Lab is you can pay as soon as you check in. And once you check in your seated for no longer than 5mins, after you wax session you have the option to tip your waxer through an QR code and it brings up their payment options (which I think is really good for the service they give) I can say that they have a set policy then other places and I understand it and some can't. My friend comes here and recommended this place to me! I was excited to book but was unable to online. There was an error with two of my cards and my friends card (who booked right before me) so I showed up anyways in hopes the receptionist was going to be more helpful than she was. I told her there was an issue with the card and she said she's never seen that problem before. She was unable to help me make an appointment because everything was done online and I had to accept to the terms and conditions / consents online and "everything is done online." Now I won't say the whole business is bad they just have one bad apple. The manager or whoever he is was very prejudice. From the minute I walked in I was judged. Through our interaction you can tell he wants the business to only target a specific type of demographic. He tried to belittle me because of my race. So, I was kind of leery about checking this place out after some of the reviews that I read. AnyWho, I decided to go ahead and purchase the Groupon special considering it was a great deal. It was awkward for me to do the online booking, so I tried to call but I was able to get an actual person. The number listed will get you in contact with an operator who is nothing more than a booking agent. So today during my break, I decided to drive directly there to see if they would make an exception for me. The agent finally called me back and instructed that they don't do it but maybe I would have a pinch of luck. Indeed I did! When I knocked on the door, I met Kasia. She was on her break, but Glattly squeeze me into her schedule. I must say, this was one of the BEST waxing experience that I have ever had in my 15 years of patronage! The wax that she used was purple, and consisted of real lavender extract. Once apply, the wax turned into a spongy strip and which all she had to do was spill it back and my hairs were removed. During the process, can you show was very educated in the process of hair removal. She gave me great advice for the future, so that my experiences would be painless as possible. After she waxed my lower Extremities, she a plied a natural missed that consisted of aloe vera. It was very refreshing. Ladies, if you used to go to a nearby national chain (which I shall not name) on the outskirts of the mall, and you're wondering where your favorite esthetician ran off to... ta-da!! I've been going to Tara for probably somewhere around 2 years! She is my numero uno! I come from Reisterstown to Columbia specifically for Tara. Her waxing is impeccable! As little pain as possible (waxing is obviously never going to be a pain-free experience!), no residual wax... the second most important thing: no stray hairs (yaasss! Lol) and THE most important thing... no double dipping the sticks!!! Tara also has a really nice cover (reminds me of the heavy bib thing they lay over you at the dentist for xrays) where you lay down, which she cleaned after I was done. So much better than laying on those narrow rolls of disposable paper that stick to you when you get up, and better for the environment! Her space is well decorated and I love that it's a private suite, not a cold, bare, doctors office-style room. However, I decided to go today and I saw a different person and my experience was not great. I just got home and I felt like something wasn't right. I went to look and found a glob of wax stuck on hair that wasn't removed, which made my underwear stick to me. I got a Brazilian. It was my first time going to this establishment on a suggestion from a co-worker. I wanted to get a Brazilian wax (which I was pretty nervous about) and CHRISTINA was highly recommended. When I got there the front desk clerk was super friendly (I didn't catch his name) and Christina even came out before my appointment to see if I was already there. I got a groupon for a Brazilian wax. I've gotten a lot of them before but this was by far the most awkward/worst experience. I went into the room as Lanisha (the wax tech) was heating up the wax and she told me to just undress. She didn't leave the room or anything and then I had to lay on a bare table. There wasn't a sheet or towel to lay on or ANY thing to cover up with. It was just very uncomfortable. She didn't ask me what exactly I wanted but I also didn't speak up. I didn't even get to the salon before my dissatisfaction started. I was refused my Groupon appointment and my appointment was changed without anyway to contact them. I was notified of everything through text, which is great, but there is no other way to contact a real person through phone and they don't provide their email. Had to DM the business on Facebook and never heard anything back about my situation. I was never able to cancel my appointment like a kind person usually does...because once again the website wouldn't let me (even after they texted saying I wasn't allowed to use my Groupon because I didn't purchase it before scheduling my appointment, which it didn't not specify on Groupon OR THEIR OWN WEBSITE.
