If I could've given a lower rating, I would've. I never spent over 2 hours getting a fill. That's not waiting time, that's actual time at the table. I had to tell the person to cut nails down evenly, twice, they were so mismatched. Then they put the wrong gel polish on. Great, more waste of time. Definitely stay away unless you have hours to waste. As a side note, if you're looking to get an "ombré", they do their own version - which is NOT a true definition of what an ombré is. read more

Geneva painted my nails and she was very patient when I wanted them reshaped - I had a bad experience at a different nail salon so it's made me a bit OCD when I'm paying for the service. Tracy and Daisy are amazing. The salon is in excellent condition, they play very relaxing music. Zuri nails is always decorated for the holidays. I have been going to Daisy for 15 years and she has always outdone herself. Always makes amazing designs such as snowmen, Christmas tree, pumpkins, fireworks, on my first wedding anniversary she even wrote mine and my husbands name on my nails! It's always clean and Tracy, the owner, along with the manicurists are professional and quite efficient. I typically don't make appointments but there are a few regulars who have their preferred attendants. I typically go with Danny but Vannie and Daisy are equally as good. Just moved to Annapolis from the NYC area and was looking for a good spot for acrylics. I had a top-notch pedicure and got a full-set. Super happy with both. Both techs really took their time and did a thorough job. My acrylics are perfectly shaped and I'm super happy with the result. I received a gift certificate here for my birthday this year and it was much needed since I was getting ready to go on vacation. I got a pedicure and eyebrow wax. My eyebrows came out fine. No complaints there. The lady who did my toes was named Rose. She was a nice lady but could be very pushy. She convinced me to get a design on my big toe which didn't look the same to me on each toe. Another thing that upset me is that my pedicure was chipped after a couple of days. That NEVER happens to me. I can usually get a pedicure to last a while but this didn't last long at all. I would go here again but I'm also seeking other options as well. read more

Among the advantages: problem-free parking, cleanliness of the salon and friendly staff. Now I will explain why I rated the salon with two stars. - My first experience with the salon was fine - not outstanding, but good enough for me to come back. - The second time I asked for matching colors - gel for hands and regular nail polish for toes. I was assured the colors would match perfectly, but they turned out to be nothing close. - The third time it was pretty bad. The cuticles were not well cleaned, the skin around nails looks untidy, the gel is not only on nails, but on my skin as well. To make things worse, from cleaning, the skin around nails now hurts so badly that my hands cannot be anywhere near warm or hot water now. I am even considering taking tylenol. Hopefully, tomorrow, it will feel better. Another thing to mention. During my two visits, I asked how long the wait was, and I felt like both times I was tricked to stay. Today they said it would be less than five minutes. It turned out to be 15, then another 5 minutes waiting in the pedicure chair. They apologized both times for keeping me wait, but I really wish they were honest about the wait time. read more

private parking lot is a plus since I am a parking natzi. Overpriced acrylic removal and gel manicure $40 the nail tech did not soak off my acrylics which made for a painful removal. She then proceeded to cut me and then ask if I had a cut, hello, no you just cut me and now you want me to put my fingers in acetone. There are probably great technicians that work here, and you should definitely do your research before you just walk in, but the technician I visited gave me the worst manicure I've ever received in my life. There are sections of my nails he didn't even paint, and sections that only have one coat on them. He took over two hours to finish, even though I mentioned at the beginning that I was in a little bit of a hurry to go to a wedding. I would HIGHLY recommend requesting someone with good reviews, and tread carefully if you plan on just walking in. read more

They do an awesome job at pedicures and manicures for both men and women. It's very clean and staff are very friendly. However they can only do very basic acrylic nails and are a bit understaff so wait time is about 30 minutes on the weekend depending the time of day. I have been a customer for quite some time. Today my usually nail technician was off, so I opted for someone else. During my pedicure I spotted roaches crawling on the spa chairs. I informed the nail technician who killed the roaches and apologized many times. Her husband then came and shared that he is constantly dealing with roaches and can't seem to get rid of them. He then showed me all of the extermination bills. At that point I asked for my coat and purse to be moved near me so I can monitor them. The husband responds, " I don't know why you're making such a big damn deal, it's just roaches." That was my cue to leave. When I got up the wife followed me out to apologize for her husbands behavior many times. The husband yells, we don't want customers like you anyway... so I'll give him what he wants. read more

Was promptly seated but they were in such a hurry to take in ALL the customers at once that they nail technician (for a fill in) only halfway did my nails before she rushed me off on another technician to finish the job. Not very professional for a first time customer visit. Nails looked okay after. Was a little painful when ripping off the tips of the plastic you get when they first glue your nails for an acrylic job. read more

Girl looks at me like I'm nuts when I say I have an appt! I notice a guy coming in, looks like he is just wandering in and HE is the one to do my mani/pedi! He later tells me that he doesn't like doin nails and is only on call and that he was called in to do my nails! Yikes!!!! I already felt uneasy.. He just didn't appear professional at all! He rubbed my toes so hard to remove my polish, that the cuticle area was red and burned! HE CUT the nails but wasn't going to shape them. I asked him to. Slops the base coat on and then the polish. There was cotton stuck in the polish when I got in my car. Finger nails weren't cleaned off completely of clear coat I had on. Nails were cut and were filed way down and short basically ruining my nails. No hand lotion or massage. Polished was so sloppy and thick that it chipped on tips that night. I tipped him because I felt bad for him after he told me he has no one here from his country and I wanted to just be done!!! I thought I found the perfect place near my job and was so ready to refer my coworkers there. I will NOT be back. Paul should not be there. This was not relaxing but ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. $48 dollars gone for nothing. I should get a full refund. read more

Since my long-time manicurist moved away, I am in search of another one. After trying them once, Zuri will not be seeing me again. The woman I was assigned to for the gel-fill nicked my cuticles three times, just getting underway! She apologized each time, but left me tense after that. She seemed rushed and distracted, and untimately, after a few requests for corrections, which she did do, I gave up trying to get things right. As a consequence, each nail is now a different shape and length. She never even tried to compare both hands. I had wanted a light polish, but she convinced me to go dark to cover up some of the mistakes. And she also pressured me to have all my gels taken off on the next visit, even though there's nothing wrong with them. Her station was dirty, her hands were dirty. Not a good experience. read more

I called just before they were closing to check to see what time they closed. Tracey, the owner, said they closed in about 15 minutes. I said I would call back tmrw to make an appointment and I hung up. Within 30 seconds my phone was ringing and she said "come on in, I'll take you now so you don't have to do it tomorrow!" I was happy bc my next day was pretty full. When I got there, she greeted me very nicely-I told her I was sorry for keeping her late. She told me to relax and that we had plenty of time. She turned the music back on (it was off since she was closing up when I called) and got to work. Beautiful work. She took her time taking off my shellac polish so as not to damage my nails. She really takes time in her work. Even though she was staying late, she was not rushed. She even asked if I wanted a pedicure! Tracey later said that with all the competition out there, she knew I could call another nail salon and get an appointment--and then what if I never came back? Kudos to a business owner who truly values her customers.
