I decided to visit Glow Nail Bar in a whim. I had grabbed something to eat next door and randomly stopped in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is really nice on the inside and the front desk staff was friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was the weekend so it was PACKED but I was seated immediately.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was seated in the last pedicure station so it was a bit cramped because it was close to the wall. My nail tech was Vicky and she was great. She was nice, thorough, and gave a great massage but was a little rough at times. I got the Sugar Scrub Pedicure with gel polish. The prices were on par with other shops. I had a great experience and would likely go back. read more

I've been coming to Glow for a few years now, and I absolutely love it. The salon is very clean on the inside, and while getting serviced they offer wine, soft drinks, and water. The prices are listed online and overall they are priced competitively with other nail salons in the area. I only go to BeBe, and each and every visit is a 10/10 experience. BeBe is the absolutely best. She has done my nails for my engagement, my photo shoot, my wedding, my vacations, and just any other time I want to get my nails done! Most recently, I came in wanting to get a set for the Beyoncé concert, and BeBe did amazing! I showed her an inspiration picture and she did exactly what I wanted. Would highly recommend. read more

The inside of this salon is beautiful. I really love the top of the line pedicure. You get the VIP treatment baby. They take you to a private area, give you snacks, cocktails, a heated neck pillow, personalized care and after your pedicure is over they treat you with a 5 minute neck and back massage. That's how you treat a VIP. Just make sure you get an experienced nail technician that knows how to do all the latest trends, styles, designs and services. Enjoy! read more

I've been to this salon twice, a year apart. The first visit, in February 2025, was pleasant, but the results were low quality. A gel-X nail popped off a week after the service. Although the pedicure looked nice, the amount of dead skin left on my toes was excessive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fast forward to two weeks ago. I was dealing with deep grief and needed a relaxing experience, but it was anything but that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My gel manicure was rushed, and my cuticles have been peeling for the past two weeks. The polish started cracking after a week, and the polish on my thumb is chipped. The pedicure looks as though it was done two months ago. The technician did the worst job I've ever had. I also had to fix her sloppy work when I got home because it was that bad. I even had to go back after leaving because I noticed she didn't even paint my pinky toe. I've been going here ever since it opened. LOYAL customer. Went to a couple other nail places here and there when I don't want to make the drive, but they were never as good at Glow and now I ONLY go to Glow. I live 25 minutes away, but I always go back to Glow to get my pedicures cause they're THAT GOOD. Occasionally gotten manicures done, only because my job requires me to have short bare nails, still loved the experience. LOVE how clean and sanitary it is. New tools, lined bowls, new packaged products every time. Never have to worry about getting an infection or anything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Every staff member is super friendly and polite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The paint job and services are top notch every time. LOVE LOVE LOVE the place. However, recently, in the past several months, service/environment has been sub-par. I've noticed, Chan, the owner isn't there as much. The music is loud club style, not relaxing, which is whatever. But my main gripe is that the VIP room isn't being treated as such. I pay $100+ for my pedicures every month because I love how empty and relaxing the VIP room is. It's supposed to be and usually is near empty, quiet, relaxing. But recently it's been packed with people chatting away on their phone, with each other, people not paying for VIP service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Today the technician (I won't name names), was chatting away gossiping about a friend to another employee while doing my pedicure![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I understand that if they don't have room, they will use the VIP room for regular pedicures, but that's totally unfair to people paying for a VIP service and not receiving it. If I'm going to experience this moving forward, I might as well look for other places. The same experience for half the price. I had a very pleasant experience at Glow Nail Bar! The service was good and they offered many drink options. The space is very big and tranquil which helps set the pampering vibes. And my nail tech was really good! I accidentally messed up my toe nail polish while walking to get my finger nails done. They immediately addressed it and made sure everything looked good to me before I left. I will be back for sure! read more

I've been to this nail salon 3 times and 2 out if 3 have not been favorable. This will be my final visit. Came in for a simple pedicure as I am attending an event this evening in DC. I have gotten an "American" pedicure for years in DC, NJ, Philly & NYC/NY state. Pink base & Funny Bunny which softens the stark white of a regular French pedicure. But today I'm told if I get the American pedicure the polish will not last because the white part of polish is hand drawn and works best with gel, otherwise it will jot last. Scratch my head as I have gotten American manicures & pedicures for almost 2 decades. Just selected another color and graciously left. I'm not arguing or debating over a pedicure. Ruined the vibe I was feeling so, will make alternative options in the future as this salon hasn't worked out for me. The nail technician was nice however he put too many coats of polish on my toes, I left disappointed. read more

I really wanted to treat myself because I always do my nails myself. I got a milk and honey pedicure and the person that was doing my service was Lynn. The sugar scrub she was putting it on like lotion- barely rubbing it in. Didn't really trim/push back my cuticles Did not shape my nails they are uneven and have sharp edges. When she was painting my nails she put on her glasses and was really focusing and was fixing it up with a brush. But more than half my nails are not completely painted. A lot of missing spots. My friend got a basic manicure by tiff She picked out a light pink shade and tiff left to grab it after her saying no to gel. Tiff ended up just giving her a clear coat that was in a pink bottle. (My friend thought it was the pink she chose) She got an almond/round shape and it was uneven on the sides (one side was more angled than the other on one nail for all of them). A lot of people were recommending this place to me and I was really disappointed with the service. I could have just gotten not the best technicians. I got an acrylic overlay with no tips and they charged me the same as a full set. My fault for not asking the price before I started the service, but this is overpriced here from what I am used to which is $45 with gel polish. The staff was not welcoming or friendly and did not make me feel like my business is welcomed back. They were not rude either just not welcoming. This picture shows what I paid $57 + $8 tip for. So excited to get a whole set of nails spent a week looking at pictures brought it in and unfortunately, I got Theo he barely looked at my picture. I have had services at glow nail bar 4 times... Pros: - New Nail Spa - Clean - Serves beverages (including wine) and refreshments - Friendly management - Pleasant admin staff - Member program where you earn points and $ off services - VIP area for luxury services Cons: - Not all nail techs created equal (meaning they don't all provide the same level of service here) - Can be pricey when looking for specific designs - Some of the techs won't acknowledge if they are unable to do a design and try anyway only to mess up (in my situation the nail tech performing my service asked another colleague to come over and do the design --- which didn't come out as I would have hoped) - When management is out, the techs don't seem as on point as I have seen them on previous visits Summary of my services: Royal Pedicure (VIP) - $85 Gel Manicure - $40 Nail Design - $20 Overall: It's a nice nail spa compared to others in the area. Varying on your service selections, it can become a bit expensive for what you get. read more

Jonathan is my constant nail technician. He is very detailed, professional, and polite. He listens to your concerns, wants, and delivers exactly what you expect. I am usually a classic short nail dip type but this time I asked for something a little different for an upcoming vacation. I am pleased. I was in the area for a birthday party but also needed my lip waxed before nail salons closed. I never have been here but it was the closest to where I was going. I just needed a lip wax. This lip was for my birthday. The salon was very nice looking however the lady who waxed my lip either left a bruise or burned me with the wax. I only went here today because my normal nail tech does not availability until next week and my nails were looking crazy. Also, the salon was in various states of disrepair. The furniture is cracked and looks super run down. I would not recommend coming here unless you like being overcharged.

I mentioned this as a reminder several times. When I got home that evening, I had to take Tylenol and add ice to my nails to sooth the burning sensation. At this point, I was concerned because the burning radiated from my fingers up my arms. Went the at shop opened, I contacted Ken to let him know what happened. He had me come in to remove the gel. I also asked for compensation, at least a percentage of my money back or have him do dip set later. Jennifer told me they took the gel set off, and took time doing my nails, so there was no compensation or refund of any kind. I suggested to file an insurance claim as this was an injury due to a product they provided. She told me insurance will not pay for it and she didn't see whether I deserved a refund. I have never experienced this sort of hospitality or service at any nail salon. I came here as a referral from a coworker. While still getting familiar with this area, I thought this place would offer great service. If you are thinking of getting nails done at here, be aware because it's not about customer service it's more about money for them. I always wondered why fee for services changed often when I got the same thing each time. Hidden fees no consideration for how they treat their customers. Deluxe pedi and gel with 2 horrible nail designs totaled - $145 and still burning from lamp. Go someplace else. UPDATE: Several hours later, Jennifer, the owner, left me a voicemail asking me to call her back. I returned the call believing she might offer an apology, discount, or some form of resolution. Instead, the conversation focused on my review and why I had posted it. She reiterated that because I chose the service, I was not entitled to any compensation. When I suggested continuing the discussion after she finished with her customer, she declined and continued explaining why she would not provide a refund, discount, or credit. This entire experience was disappointing. Mistakes and adverse reactions can happen, but what stood out to me was being told, "I'm not going to argue with you," when I was simply expressing surprise and concern about what had happened. I was not arguing at all, and the comment felt dismissive. I was left wondering whether I was being treated differently, possibly because I am an African American woman. Regardless of the reason, I did not feel heard or respected during the conversation. Reactions can happen, but how a business responds to a customer who has been injured or harmed by a service says a lot about its values. Unfortunately, I felt dismissed, blamed, and left without any Potential customers should be aware of my experience and make their own informed decision. Wow

I want to add that the first time today before the manicure gel issue she did not even ask if I wanted my nails cut down. She didn't even file them. She immediately put the 2st coat Gel clear on. So how is that a manicure? I booked a Gel Manicure and Lavender Pedicure. It cost me $140. I left her a $28 tip to be treated like this. I always tip 20%. I'm in shock. I am a nice person. Always complimentary while the tech is working. I use thank you too much I guess.

I recently had a fantastic appointment at this salon, and I want to remember the three names that made it special - Wendi, Kenny, and Elvis! Despite arriving 10 mins late due to horrible traffic, they were incredibly accommodating and ensured that I received top-notch service. Elvis took the initiative to match me with Wendi, a skilled nail technician who expertly shaped my almond nails. Wendi was gentle and meticulous when removing my acrylic nails, taking great care not to damage my natural nails. Kenny then shaped my nails to perfection. The entire team has fantastic personalities and made me feel welcome and at ease. The online booking tool is a bit cumbersome because you have to select every little thing you want before your service or they may not have time to do it so that's something to beware of. The salon is immaculately clean and inviting, and the complimentary wine was a lovely touch. The front desk receptionist is super sweet and she was also friendly and easy to chat with. I've been on the hunt for the perfect nail bar/salon for ages. For five long years, I've been trekking 45 minutes to my old nail salon. But finally, I think I've found my new home at GLOW. Before we even started my fill, I specifically asked Bi if there was enough time to do a design, and he told me yes. I had just come from the hospital and simply wanted to treat myself, feel pretty, and try something new with my nails. During the appointment, however, I was made to feel like an inconvenience because he was running into his next appointment. Ironically, I also had to wait when I arrived, so I was surprised to be treated as though I was responsible for the schedule running behind. What upset me the most was Bi telling me that I should have Tina do my nails next time. After years of coming to him, that comment felt unnecessary, dismissive, and disrespectful. If there was not enough time for the design, I would have appreciated him telling me upfront instead of agreeing to it and then making me feel guilty. To make matters worse, Bi began speaking to his coworkers in his native language while looking at me, and it gave me the clear impression that he was talking about me. Whether or not that was the case, it made me feel uncomfortable, singled out, and disrespected. Professionalism means addressing concerns directly with the customer, not creating an environment where they feel they are being discussed. The unfortunate part is that Bi actually did an amazing job on my nails. However, instead of remembering the quality of his work, I will remember how unwelcome and disrespected I felt during the appointment. Customer service matters just as much as technical skill. After this experience, I will not be returning to Capella Nails. I hope Bi and management reflect on this interaction so other loyal customers are not made to feel the same way.

I've gone back twice to get them to help the issue before the infection grew. I asked for a removal of the acrylic. Instead she used the machine to sand the acrylic deeper into my skin! I asked for it to be melted off she refused and said it was all off. Which wasn't true. Within days, I developed an infection that required antibiotics. Eventually, the nail fully detached and fell off. I have photos documenting the condition before/after. Ones the nail fell off I can still see the acrylic that was left! Please note it was HER (KATHY) IDEA TO REMOVE MY REAL NAIL AND PLACE THE OVERLAY! This was not a normal side effect--it was a serious complication that affected my health and required medical treatment. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision and so the salon reviews its technique and sanitation/cuticle handling practices. Customer Service is terrible from this incident!!!
