They likely would have lasted longer if I was not packing and moving and cleaning. Beyond how happy I was with how long my nails lasted and how well they were done, Jade is a also a wonderful person and I have greatly enjoyed our conversations. Such a joy to be around. They always make me feel like family in the best way, and every visit is welcoming, professional, and consistent. I typically book appointments in advance because they are almost always busy, which speaks to how much people love this salon. The entire place is very well run, and you can clearly see the value they place on customer service, quality, and the overall experience. You truly can't go wrong with any of the nail technicians. Most recently, I had a pedicure with Timmy, and he was outstanding. His massage, scrub, and lotion treatment were so relaxing. He took his time, paid attention to every detail, and made the experience feel like a true self-care moment. My usual service is Gel-X with gel polish, along with a pedicure w/callus treatment and scrub. The quality is always excellent, and I consistently leave happy with my nails and feeling refreshed. I noticed fungus under one of my nails last week and was like crap-I need to go get them soaked off. Well, add busy life and I had a delay until today. I got them soaked off and 2 of them are pretty bad. She asked me where I got them done and I told her I get them done here!! Showed her the normal lady and chair that I sit in (my normal tech was doing other nails) As she's finishing my service, she tells me not to put anything on my nails. I totally understand and that is where I am devastated. How am I supposed to go to work looking like this???????? This was not my fault. I come to professionals for a reason!!! Then she charged me $35 for a soak off and manicure with no polish. This should have been FREE Ma'am. I just paid, left a small tip and left. I don't think they have a clue at how affected I am by this.

I visited Bliss Nail Bar 1 on Crain Highway for acrylic overlay…read more The application felt unsafe from the start: the acrylic was placed heavily directly on my natural nail/cuticle area (no proper tip support), it hardened in a way that left my nail bed overly compressed, and my cuticle area was trimmed/nipped during the process. I've gone back twice to get them to help the issue before the infection grew. I asked for a removal of the acrylic. Instead she used the machine to sand the acrylic deeper into my skin! I asked for it to be melted off she refused and said it was all off. Which wasn't true. Within days, I developed an infection that required antibiotics. Eventually, the nail fully detached and fell off. I have photos documenting the condition before/after. Ones the nail fell off I can still see the acrylic that was left! Please note it was HER (KATHY) IDEA TO REMOVE MY REAL NAIL AND PLACE THE OVERLAY! This was not a normal side effect--it was a serious complication that affected my health and required medical treatment. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision and so the salon reviews its technique and sanitation/cuticle handling practices. Customer Service is terrible from this incident!!!

My services included a pedicure and a manicure with builder gel on my natural nails. Overall, the experience was decent. However, my nail tech was not very friendly and by the end of my experience, I determined he wasn't a very good nail tech either. Once the individual at the front desk explained to the tech my requested services, I sat in the chair and he proceeded to work on my feet. He said absolutely nothing to me. I had to engage him in conversation and it was a bit forced. My pedicure was mid. The polish job and the shaping left a lot to be desired. The same technician did my manicure. I explained to him that one of my nails was starting to break and needed repair. He explained to me that once the builder gel was applied I would be OK. Because I didn't think builder jail alone would be sufficient, I asked him again was he certain that would be all I needed for the repair. He confirmed and stated again that the builder gel would do the job. This leads me to my low rating for this location. After spending almost $200 on my pedicure and my manicure with builder gel, I found myself at a different nail salon the very next day to repair the nail that I originally had the issue with. The builder gel did NOT hold or repair my nail. I don't know if it's because he did not apply it properly or did not use sufficient product. Either way, the nail continued to breakthrough the builder gel. The only highlight of this experience, was the polish job that was done by a different technician. She did a good job of replicating the nail design that I wanted. It's possible, my experience may have been positive if she had been the one to do both my pedicure and manicure. She may have been able to determine the best procedure for addressing my nail repair. Again, I will not be returning to this location. There are far too many nail salons in the area with skilled nail technicians that appreciate your business and offer a positive experience and great customer service.
