Nail Haven did a beautiful job on my daughter's nails for her senior prom! We normally both get SNS dip with simple designs like different color french tips on each nail or line work at our regular salon, but for such a special occasion she wanted something more elaborate. After reviewing their work on Instagram, we decided to make an appointment here. Originally, my daughter wanted to stick with dip to maintain her natural nail length, but the nail tech explained that the specific design she requested could not be achieved with dip powder. She transitioned to Aprés Gel-X instead, and still made changes from the original inspiration photo to simplify needs and costs after consulting with the nail tech. The final result was absolutely gorgeous and prom-ready! The only surprise was the number of additional fees added throughout the appointment, so she called me a few times to confirm costs before proceeding. I was happy to cover it for such a memorable milestone event. In the end she got one nail with light blue french tip, two nails painted blue and two nails with painted butterfly or flower design on each hand where in her original design it was a different design on each nail. While we will likely continue using our regular salon for routine nails due to the pricing structure here, I would recommend Nail Haven for weddings, prom, and other special occasions depending on your design aspirations. read more

The tl;dr is there are some talented nail technicians here, but they nickel and dime the heck out of you, so that's why I had to stop coming, unfortunately. Pros: Black-owned (yes! I was so thrilled to support), cozy spa-like atmosphere, clean. Talented nail techs who do great work. Genesis was my favorite. Cons: - Everything is an added fee to where I felt taken advantage of. I had to pay $15 extra because I got a fill beyond the 2-week recommendation. Come on now. Also, every design seemed to fall in the "tier 3" category. I didn't even want to get designs because they were so high. I don't mind paying for good service, but at some point, you feel overcharged and not valued as a customer. - I don't appreciate that I've had a black mark by my name for a few nail technicians. If there's a problem, speak to me directly. One nail tech I had a black mark from, I came in contact with her brother, then found out she didn't even know there was a mark by my name and didn't know why. Odd. - Seems to be a higher turnover rate, so don't get too attached to one tech. I wish I could have been a longtime customer but the added costs no longer justify coming here anymore. I went to get my SNS (dip) taken off due to a fail from another salon. They were very nice and squeezed me in with my sister. They took off the dip in a way that is better for your nails... no drill on my nail. My sister got her nails with acrylic, SNS and university of Maryland decoration for her graduation. I had an amazing experience at this black-owned nail salon. From the moment I walked in, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The vibe was just right with 90s R&B playing in the background, it really set the tone for a relaxing visit. The atmosphere was serene and calming, making it the perfect spot to unwind. My nail tech, Ray, was great. She took her time and made sure to constently check in with me about my service and how I liked my nails. Somethings I was not too keen on was that they only allow you to have one complementary drink. I was in there for over two hours and spent over $100 so I felt this was a bit weird. Seeing as I'm used to the luxury salons in Houston that don't put a limit on the complementary beverages. This also seemed to follow suit with the products used. I felt the nail tech was very skimp when using the products. She used the least amount of polish possible to paint my nails and the same for the builder gel. So as of now my nails feel pretty weak. I do nails also so I was able to add an additional layer of builder gel myself, however, I felt I should have needed to. The nail tech was aware of how weak (not enough product used) my nails were because she kept bend testing them. I would have said something more but I was in a rush and had already been in there awhile. I really liked the way she shapped my nails and the attention to detail when it came to the design, I just think she needs a bit more practice with builder gel as I don't feel like they would last long. I feel like I have been around the world trying to find a good nail tech/salon... and baby the buck will surely be stopping here. I arrived way early for my appointment (I booked for a fill in but was prepared for a take down and a new set) and just posted up. First: vibe is immaculate; the music was poppin! My tech (Parissa) ran over slightly but I wasn't in a hurry and she apologized profusely. She asked detailed questions about my nails and how I wanted them versus how i walked in. This is under new management. It was called Bliss Nails All the staff remains the same Prices are different. I also don't like that if you pay cash. You receive no discount. So why bother. When it was under the the other management . I used to receive a 10% discount for using cash. You have to get money from their Atm to receive a cash discount but of course you will be charged a fee. So tell me how that is saving. This new management don't really want you to save in my perspective. I still go because I like my nail technician and the way she designs my nails. I wish I was coming here to write a better review. I was really looking forward to making Nail Haven my go to nail salon. I recently learned of their shop after my boyfriend moved into the apartments within the Town Center this past week. My boyfriend and I first visited the Nail Haven on July 1st as walk-in for a mani/pedi for him, and a gel full set and gel pedi for me. They were fully booked and said that they couldn't accommodate walk-ins (this was around 4:30/5 PM) that day. My boyfriend and I left and went to another nail salon up the street to try to get the aforementioned services. While at the other salon I realized they didn't have the exact color I was looking for (430 Ferrari Red) so I opted to not do my nails there and just did my pedicure there without any polish, toe nail cutting, or filling. My boyfriend did his mani and pedi with the other salon. After leaving that salon I called Nail Haven and booked an appointment for 12 noon on July 2nd to get a gel full set, and gel polish on my toes. I arrived at 11:58 AM for my appointment greeted the front desk lady, letting her know I was there for my 12 noon appointment, sat down and looked through the colors as I awaited the nail tech. The nail tech (I wish I got her name to put in this review) appeared to be very young physically (fare skin), and later confirmed she was young by the small talk she and I were having when she started my nails. There were things that I did appreciate about this nail tech, such as she really took time (a little too much time) with pushing my cuticles back and she was accommodating without an attitude when I told her that a nail was applied crooked or that the shape wasn't right. Apart from me disliking my nails (photos are attached), it took this nail tech from 12 noon to 2:44 PM just to do this simple set. I know this exact time from my call log to my boyfriend upon leaving Nail Haven venting about the horrible service. I came into this salon with bare hands (no polish to be removed, no glue, no nails, nothing). The nail tech and I had discussed doing two designs on each of my ring fingers (I wanted something simple and cute for my upcoming birthday festivities July 4th). Before she started painting my nails red she asked me again if I still wanted the designs, I was so annoyed from the length of time it had already taken and how thick and bulky the acrylic was applied that I declined and said, "just do the red polish, this has already taken so much time". (Even my boyfriend was confused by the time, he kept calling asking if I was almost done. He's never known my nail appointments to take this long.) So while my nails were drying I told the nail tech that I also had an appointment for my toes. She said she needed to go to the front desk to see if she was doing it or if it was someone else doing them. I was confused, by ok, no problem. She came back and said she will do them. She asked me to walk over to the pedicure chairs. At the pedicure chairs she then says, "I won't be able to cut and file them, only polish. I then appeared very surprised because I was confused as to why not if I'm paying for it. I then walked over to the front desk to ask the lady why couldn't the young lady clip, file, and paint (gel) my toes. The lady at the front desk that there was no time left. I was highly disappointed and explained to the front desk lady (who also checked me in) that this simple nail style took basically 3 hours, and not due to any fault of my own. I asked if there was anyone else who can do it, she said no. I then paid my $63 for the nails seen pictured and left. It's unfortunate that this experience panned out this way. I will now be spending additional unnecessary money to have my nails redone, correctly and additional time to get my toes clipped, filed, and painted. I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone! read more

One week after my builder-gel fill-in and polish my nails look fantastic. I am too lazy to wear gloves when I wash dishes, and I can't believe how good this polish still looks. My review was removed, but I'm not sure why. On my first visit, a man did my nails. The polish was lifting within 24 hours, and he asked for a tip. I wrote a review, and first, they said they had no record of me. My bank account begged to differ. Then the owner reached out to correct a lady redid my nails. I simply said wow the no longer soak your nails to soften your cuticles they take a narrow drill to them, and that's the polish " coming off with 24hrs. Went to get them redone. The lady came with a bowl of really hot water and said water, "Are you happy(Wow) She redid my gel, and I left. I won't be back. The comment wasn't required. Genesis saved my appointment today. This was my first time here and I was booked with Timah (online). I arrived 10 minutes early and as I backed in my parking space, I get a call from the receptionist that Timah is running behind. Asked if I can come at 11:25. I said sure. I'll come in at 11:30. I guess that 5 minutes made a huge difference because they needed to check with her first Receptionist comes back and tells me she can do 12, but someone else can do my pedicure. I don't like breaking up my service like that because I usually have to wait a while in between. Now all of a sudden Mia doesn't do pedicures. When I said I booked her for both services, it hit me that I wouldn't want to be bothered with her at this point anyway. They rebooked me for 11:30 with Genesis. Interesting thing though... as I looked to my right from my pedicure chair, I see Timah who doesn't do pedicures doing a pedicure. Not only is she doing the pedicure her sister the receptionist told me she doesn't do, but she's telling the client she has to cut her service short to accommodate her next appointment. Naturally, I'm wondering where this energy was for MY appointment. Genesis and the owner Mia are the ONLY reason I'm giving this place 4 stars. Mia listened carefully and showed that this is not her expectation for her salon. I can tell that Mia cares about the customer experience. Highly disappointed by Timah. This was rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate of my time. I've had this appointment for weeks... for my baby shower. Seeing her in action, I can tell she's entitled. After two visits here, I am disappointed to say I would not recommend. The first gel manicure chipped within 2 days. They offered to correct it but the manicure still lasted less than 2 weeks despite greater than usual care. They offered me a discount on services so I returned and again am having the same issue. First this location is just a name change. On the door and signage outside it says one thing but all the guy and even aprons say another. I was able to make an appointment online. Prices seem a bit expensive for the experience. I had a full set, gel polish and almond shaped nails. I also requested nail design. I chose the simple not really knowing what it meant. Already at $75.00 before setting foot in the door. I checkin and it takes a couple minutes to find my technician. Clearly she either wasn't told or reviewed my appointment online, since she tried to change my polish from gel to powder. If that's what I wanted I would've book that. I reminder her I also requested nail design. She proceeds to ask me for a picture. I show her and she says only certain people do "busy" design. Now I'm aggravated. As she's doing my nails I keep yanking my hand back because she keeps drilling into my nail bed. I tell her to stop and her response is "you have think skin and nails". Now it shouldn't matter how thin they are if I'm hurt, stop. Finally get to the design I tell her remember two on each hand. Didn't turn out that way. One of each hand. I feel like she must've been new and was really trying to understand how it is when you're new to a craft. I did tip her based on that alone. However, I won't be coming back, I'll just have to get back on the book for my regular technician. Showed up to this nail salon on a Friday evening without an appointment just wanting 2 pedicures because their instagram clearly has stated in the bio, "appointments preferred, walk ins always welcomed" and as soon as I get inside, the person at the front desk goes "we don't have any availability for the rest of the evening" so then why do you have listed on your website that walk ins are welcome? False advertising. I also would've been willing to wait if that's what I needed to do, but nope, didn't even offer that. If you REQUIRE appointments, maybe consider taking that off of your social media before someone makes the mistake of driving there just to be denied. This shop has changed ownership. This shop was formerly Nail Bliss. The new ownership has raised the prices and now they charge for everything that used to be included in your payment. I had my nails done the technician said you want your nails cut down? I said a little bit. I don't have long nails so she cut them down less than 1/8 of an inch. Then she did my nails. She smoothed the sides of my nails since she cut them down. You know so I wouldn't have any jagged edges. Well when I went to pay the cost was $63 dollars. I paid the bill. The next day I reviewed the email version of receipt. I was charged $3 to cut my nails down and I was charged $5 or $10 for the nail shape? The receipt explicitly said nail shaping was for coffin, almond or stiletto shapes. Which I did not get. However they still up charged me. The tech never said there was a charge for the cut down or the rounding of my basic nails. Mind you I also tipped the tech. All I am going to say is REVIEW your charges at this shop. They are charging for everything. It's not the same shop. They have a new system and you can get a print out of your receipt. Get one!!!! Many business owners are taking advantage of these inflationary times. This appears to be one if these places. Also to not disclose the ah la carte pricing. Buyer beware. read more

Absolutely the worst pedicure and experience I've had at a nail salon. My technician was Nhat. He never even introduced himself or spoke the entire time. The first thing he did was set a 30 minute timer, which is very rude. That can be done discreetly using another method. He was very harsh, ripped out an ingrown toenail so hard that it bled. When he sprayed it with alcohol I cried out and he acted like I was a baby. That should've been my sign to just leave. He did everything so fast he didn't care that he was filing my toes, not just nails. He also used scalding hot water when he rinsed my legs and got irritated when I said it was too hot. When I paid, the girl asked how it was and I told her. She asked if he didn't massage my legs long enough. Really?! She did give me 10% off but my total was still $66, which included eyebrows. I had a very painful pedicure for $40 and an upcharge of $20 for gel. The service was much better when it was Bliss. I will NEVER go back and rest assured, have told everyone I know how horrible the service was. read more
