I'm not sure why I stopped here have not been here since they opened and they gave you your own manicure kit with your name on it. My normal nail tech from Top Nails has been on vacation for the past two weeks and I needed my nails done. Any who, they assigned me to station 13 which was an older lady. When I tell you this is the worst refill I've ever had!!! Like my nails have no consistent shape, half of them are crooked literally crooked. She said my nail crooked I said my nails weren't crooked when I came here. The tips were rough to the point I would snag my clothes or scratch myself I had to file them down. There is so much acrylic under my nail bed, debris in the polish just horrible. Save your time, money, and sanity and don't go here. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON. Lily (left side, second to last row) is the most UNPROFESSIONAL nail tech I've ever worked with. I had an appointment with her today and asked how much it would be. She responded rudely by saying "$95 no discount!" I never even asked for a discount, I was simply inquiring about the price. I followed up with its protocol to let your clients know how much they're paying before their service. She then responded with "ok" and blocked me on Instagram. First of all, this salon is raggedy as hell, how you charging $95 when you don't even have individual nail tools sanitized upon arrival? but I digress... Not to mention, I have a green fungal spot on one of my nails from a previous set she did. They need to train their tech on proper etiquette when dealing with clients. Okay so after reading some of the other reviews umm I'm glad I haven't had any of these issues . I always see Lily for my nails. She always does and amazing job for me, and the few times she's ran late she's told me either before I got to the shop or while I'm waiting she will let me know if she running behind or what not . Worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon in my life. I also want to start by saying that this is my second time leaving this review, because they had my first one deleted! I went to this salon on September 9th to get a fill-in. I wanted a simple french tip nail design. The nail tech doing my nails, Marian, got through my first hand when I saw the way it came out didn't really meet my expectations or look the same as the picture I had shown her. I very politely asked if it would be okay to do a different color, to which her response was to throw my hand down, yell "oh my god!" and then start aggressively buzzing the gel polish off. I sat there in shock and once she was finished buzzing the gel off she told me to wash my hands, so I did. Once I was done I was told to just pay for the fill-in and cut down and I could leave. Obviously I was like... no? I came here to get my nails done you can just paint them and I will pay and leave. I already knew what color I wanted and it would have taken all of 5 minutes. But no, of course it couldn't be that simple. Instead of painting my nails, or having another nail tech do it if she didn't want to, Marian told me to leave and was now saying I didn't have to pay and to just go. I argued with her because I didn't want to leave with half finished nails and I also do not live close by. She continued to tell me to just leave, and at this point I'm starting to tear up because I'm so frustrated with how I'm being treated. I tell her if she doesn't want to do it someone else can and she tells me "no one in here can paint them for you" mind you we are sitting in a nearly empty shop, with one other customer besides myself and multiple workers sitting on their phones not batting an eye. I continue to argue with her with tears just streaming down my face, I asked for a manager to be told she wasn't there (what a surprise) and to go. After a while of back and forth one of the other workers finally decided to lift a finger and was able to take 5 minutes out of their day to do their job and paint my nails. Honestly, I don't even know why I argued so hard for it because my nails still looked like shit after having a thick, globby, uneven layer of gel polish painted on. I left with a red face, covered in tears, feeling embarrassed and humiliated after being treated like garbage by their staff and especially by Marian. She should be fired, I know I would be let go at any job I've worked if I ever treated a customer like that. I actually did talk to the manager a few days later who said she didn't agree with how I was treated but clearly that isn't true seeing as Marian still works there and also seeing as my review was deleted in order to cover up such behavior. I called this morning to set an appointment at 7:05p, their they're supposed to be open until 8 PM. Well, I said OK I will be there shortly. You know after I get off of work at seven I get to the place the one person in there is so rude to me he says well oh, you can't get nothing done today, nobody's here to help you after asking me what was it that I wanted,I wanted a full set and I wanted my toenails done even if he would've said have a seat let me do the full set now get your toes done another day I would've been OK with that but for me to be told well everybody left at 6:30 is church night that doesn't mean shit to me because this morning when I called it was church day today anyway so that didn't mean nothing to me because your representative told me that, it's OK just don't come too late and then you tell me no I can't get serviced. I'm supposed to be going out of town tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock and that was just for the day. A co-worked recommended this place. I have a nail place closer to my house but they're normally pretty busy so I tried Nails Today. The store is a bit dirty but there was no wait (Thursday around 5) and my nail tech did a great job with my nails. I got the sns powder manicure and he was pretty quick (about 35 mins in total). My nails look beautiful and I ended up paying a little less than I normally pay in Columbia. I highly recommend this place. The powder manicure is $45 btw. read more

I always get a gel mani and Super Pedi when I come here and my hands and feet always feel and look great! The super pedi also comes with everything including the paraffin treatment at an affordable price! I've probably gotten serviced by every tech at some point but Lily is one of the best. She takes her time so they look super neat and last. I like that all of the pedicure chairs are in working condition and it's not noisy here so it makes for a relaxing "spa" like experience. Downfalls: Could be a bit cleaner, (Ex. Fish tank and hand towels), and not sure if this happens often or this was a one off but, having consistent business hours. I arrived before 930am one morning (which was supposed to be opening time) and they didn't open until almost 10am. Good thing I had no time constraints that day. Please please please don't waste your money I moved around here recently , and was beyond excited that now we are finally able to go to the nail salon due to Covid that I was going to get my nails done. I had an appointment and was told to pick a color I wanted to do regular nail polish and was told that I needed to do gel or SNS or that my appointment was going to be moved . Annoyed already at this point I picked S&S. The lady started to add the acrylic tips to my fingers with the glue and they started falling off as she was filing them I should've stopped her but I thought maybe because she kept answering the phone that she wasn't fully paying attention to what she was doing. Then the real horror started she started the dip with my nails and it was a complete mess powder everywhere nails crooked and didn't even have them the correct length. this place was okay but I have two major issues. The first one is I asked the lady for a pedicure....a basic pedicure and a full gel set. The menu board said that the gel set was $30 and a pedicure was $22. When I got to the counter she said that it would be $60. She could not explain to me the extra amount of money that was charged to my card. I started not to give her a tip but I thought that I will be the bigger person and do it. The other issue was my nails are crooked on two fingers and when I asked her to fix them she said that she could not do it because it was already done and set and my nails were too short to file down anymore. The service was overall okay but these two incidents are the reason that I will never visit this place again. read more

Second time going here and tech doesn't honestly say he don't know how to do something. Asked for one pedicure recurved a totally different pedicure. Showed the design and how I wanted my toe nails painted he said ok did something totally opposite when corrected he got an attitude as if I was bothering him. Asked for a nail soak off to get a full set the man that came to do the soak off just threw a bow with towels in my lap as if I knew what to do when I asked what do I do he got an attitude. I'm not returning. Sad thing is I wound up buying my own nails off not getting a full set and walking out with a pedicure that looks like my 7 yr ok'd niece did it. Horrendous customer service. Made an appointment that they must have forgot about because my technician was not available. I had an big event and I had to go without my nails being done. Gave them a second chance and made another appointment. When I arrived (2 minutes early) the person I was supposed to have an appointment with (Tony) was just gluing nails on someone. Who knew who I was but did not acknowledge or even say, hey I'll be with you soon. He knew he was wrong because usually when you walk in they ask how can they help, but this time there was silence. I made a 7 am appointment with Lilly and she did not show. When I called 2 days prior to the appointment she was the one that suggested 7 and I even asked her was 7 correct she stated yes. I got there at 7 and sat there until 745am. Finally I left to get some coffee then came back and she was there with someone in her chair. She came over laughing " oh I overslept" I found nothing funny considering I had to catch a flight soon. I asked if should do them after the lady she said no she's too busy! Nails/Pedicure/eyebrow waxing/Eyelash Extension This place is ok I'd give it an overall 'C'. Pedicure 'B' My nails are a 'B' Eyebrow Waxing 'B' Eyelash Extension 'D Cleanliness 'F' I told her I wanted a bright green limish color. She brought every color but green. So I changed to a bright orange. My pedicure wasn't bad, but there's nothing wow about it. The massage was ok but the technician mainly focused on massaging my calf's and not my feet. The water was either scorching or warm. I was freezing the entire time during my pedicure. I was freezing because the water was Luke warm which didn't help and she would rub water on my legs but not wipe it or cover them so Tge cold air was blowing on me. And she took this hard bristled brush and scrubbed the top off my foot. Which hurt she switched to the other foot but only scrubbed it for literally 2 seconds. I hate when techs do that, black does not come off. We moved to my hands and I had to tell her how to design my hands exactly. Therefore that tells me that they don't get too much service where people want more pizazz. I had 2 nails on each hand cut like a triangle and the other 3 were square. Remember how I wanted green originally? She obviously didn't. I'm saying this because when she began designing my nails she chose pink,white,black, and blue. I told her I wanted the 2 triangular shaped nails to have 1 diamond on it and no design. She began designing the 2 triangle nails with the above mentioned colors. I asked her to remove the paint and give me yellow and green. We could keep the white and black. She seemed irritated that I didn't like it. I told her again that I was looking for a springy feel on my nails. I also said I did not like the pink or blue. She again began designing the triangle nails. I told her to again take it off and design the 3 square nails. She did, I noticed she put pink in my nail design. But I let it go. Then on the triangular nails she decided to put 7 diamonds on each nail in the form of a t or half cross or like an umbrella. This to me made it look cheesy (cheap or lame). Lastly, my fingers have acrylic or powder or whatever she put on my nails on my other hand it looks like there's glue on my skin. I peeled most of it off before I decided to write my post. Eyebrow is ok but she left glue on my face. I've never had that happen before. The eyelash extension is a 'D' not because they look bad because they don't. But because she literally taped my entire bottom lid down. It felt as if the tape was a little higher than my eyelid therefore my top eyelid would hit the tape every time I blinked. That made them irritated. After she taped my eyes she walked out the room for about 1-3 minutes which is not long. But it's super long when your eye is rubbing up against something. But I tried to fight it, with beauty comes pain, right? She returned and immediately began working, but my eye was still being irritated my eye was probably crying( I have wet eyes for some reason, they tear up easily). So I said do you really need my eye taped? She says I don't want glue. I'm like ummm you gonna finish your sentence cuz my eye is itching really bad. She said nothing and kept working. I said please take the tape off of my eye. My eye is itching really bad. She takes off one of the 2 strips on my right eye. I said thank you please take off the other strip. She does. But then she began pressing my eyeball into my medulla oblongota. When she finished she ripped my eye open. Then worked on the next eye. I eventually had to tell her to remove the tape on that eye as well. I had to tell her twice for the 2nd eye. When she finished she said ok I'm done and walked out. She didn't clean my face with alcohol or whatever the wet stuff is that they wipe on your eyebrows afterwards and she didn't show me the work she did. Oh and the cleanliness I would say 'E orF' The bed that I had to lay on was disgusting. I almost walked out. I should have because throughout the entire facial care procedures I was thinking am I going to get herpes either in my eye or on my eyebrow. The bed had a bright colorful floral looking bed skirt on it. But it was black and dirty on the bottom half. It appeared that it had never been washed and it's where people put there feet and shoes at. She did give me a thin layered paper towel to put my head on. My eyes are burning and I can't see clearly. It's like my eyes have a nose and is smelling something my nose can't smell. Every time i try to look to see if there is something in my eye they Water up really bad and go cross eyed. So I'm sitting in my car trying to keep them open and allowing my ac fan to blow in my open eyes. Would I come back? Maybe closer to a no than a yes. I'd like to say that the customer service here is HORRIBLE. I got a regular pedicure and i had to keep correcting the lady who was doing my toes because she kept trying to do her own thing. She started getting rude and i had to check her and put her in her place. My cousin was getting a manicure and she told TOMMY that she didn't like the way he was doing her nails and he got upset and told her to get up and sit somewhere else because "he doesn't have time for this". I have clear liquid UV gel on my natural nails. I immediately asked before sitting down if they did nails that way and was told yes. The man who did my nails was firs very rough. He pulled a jar that looked like the right stuff from under the counter, however when he started applying it I noticed it was pink and objected. He proceeded to have an attitude. He then comes back with what is clearly base coat gel polish and tries to convince me that I am wrong. The tech was rude, and did not provide the service that I requested. I have been going to this shop for a few months. I recently moved to the area and thought I found my go to nail tech Mariane. First you have to make appt in advance because she is so busy. I showed her a picture of what I wanted,as I normally have to every time. She is not creative enough to to on her own. Yesterday was not a good experience with her. I wanted the acrylic soaked off and an overlay. I like to keep my own natural nails no tip. First she ripped the thumb acrylic with a nail, a technique she use to remove old or repair a nail. I dont like that because it rips layers of my natural nail off. Thats why I requested a soak off. She was rushing. My appt ran into her another appt. It took her an hour and forty-five minutes. She then changed the shape of my nails to one I'm not too fond of. I said something to her, she said its the same. Coffin and pointed nails are not the same shape. Then I went to pay. She told me 80 dollars!!!!! I said for an overlay??? She said full set. An overlay on my natural nails is aways cheaper that a full set. I will not be back!!!! read more

Not clean, you can have less services done and be charged more. They don't speak enough English and I have no problem with that, but if you want to charge me $40 you need to understand what I want and carry that out properly, so this salon is off the list of places for me to go while near Fort Meade.
