I wanted to try a new nail salon and found Boutique on Yelp! They have all their precautions in place for COVID-19 including wearing masks, plastic to line the pedicure bowls and social distancing between the pedicure chairs. They offer a variety of pedicure services. I selected the Spa Pedicure which was so relaxing. They have a wide variety of nail polishes so you can pretty much get any color you want. I also received an eyebrow wax with was great. Their wax rooms are extremely clean and prepped for safety in between customers. Check out is easy with electronic checkout via iPad. As for the location, it is right off of Baltimore Ave with ample parking in the lot. I was a walk in but they do accept appointments as well. The staff was friendly and attentive my entire visit. I'll definitely return!
MaLeah did my nails and I love them!! I wish I could show a before and after photo so you can see the difference. So my new go to shop in Va, the tech was busy so I tried another shop...ehhhh didn't love them so this time around I came across Boutique Nails and walked in- no wait and met MaLeah... The shop itself was clean and relaxing...not busy at all...in and out! Just a basic fill with gel polish...I love the shape and more natural look Maleah was able to execute. I will definitely come here again!!
One of the best nail salon experiences I've ever had! I came here the day before a wedding, where I was in the bridal party and they were extremely accommodating for a walk in towards the end of the day. The shop looks really neat and professional and we were attended to immediately. The bride had a specific nail look she wanted for her bridesmaids and when I tell you THEY EXECUTED over here?!?! It gave all that it needed to give. For the weeks I had this in, I kept getting compliments left and right from friends and strangers. I also got a gel pedicure that lasted me a really long time. The only downside of this place is the prices . It's a bit on the pricier end, but you're also getting good quality for your money. I'm not usually based in MD, but I'll definitely be returning here when next I'm in town and in need of some nail services!
Update: the diamonds on my hand didn't even last a day!!!!! They have fallen off my wedding is tomorrow omg Would not recommend... When i called to make my reservation I informed then I was coming to have my nails done for my wedding. I came here with my mom excited because reviews were really good. I wanted to feel excited and pampered since I was coming here before my wedding that is in 2 days. The environment does not feel warm or welcoming. The nail tech barely looked or spoke to me. After saying multiple time I wanted my hands and nails to be the same color (my wedding colors) my hands came out a COMPLETELY different color. I alerted her when i first saw it and she just kept going saying she would just paint over it... (why not just stop and fix it...). The 2nd try was still not the same color (I literally pulled my foot up to show her the color again). My mom and I told her this wasn't exactly how we wanted my nails and she looked annoyed we were saying anything at all. Due to lack of time (Again this is 2 days before my wedding so super busy) we just paid and left. No apology for the mishap, no discount offered, no have a great day, nothing. This was literally my worst experience at a nail salon. I have never felt so unwanted at an establishment that Im paying for. Not really a good start to my wedding weekend... disappointing
This is my go to nail salon!! I always come here for my Dip (SNS) powder and gel pedicures. I used to always go to Win but now I get my nails done by Yaya! Finally I found a salon that could get the shape I loved. The salon is nice and clean. The prices are a bit higher than other salons and they don't offer any refreshments. I recommend coming here for quality service.
I've been coming here for over a year and have watched the quality of services decline every service I get. You walk in, no one speaks or tell you how long you will wait. My last visit I was ridiculously upcharged. I was charged a $15 fee for "long nails". Huh? That was a first since I've visited. Also, it is 2023, everyone knows what long nails look like. These are not it. Then there was another $5 charge for changing nail shape. Huh? This is the same shape I had. I just asked that she make the shape less bulky. Overall the prices are a higher than other places, and they have zero offerings. They don't offer drinks or anything, and customer service is poor. They cut corners and you have to watch them work closely or else risk sloppiness. Hate to say this will be my last time spending my dollars there.
My go to spot to see Monica. I've been seeing her for a while now and she knows exactly how I want my nails done and helps me try new styles. Oh and she's a pro at repairing my nails when I break them (which is a lot, lol!), I always make an appointment because the shop is very very busy. I sometimes call ahead just to make sure the person bettor me isn't running a little late, but otherwise, no complaints. The shop is clean and well maintained and has a big selection of colors. Wish I could give this place 10 stars!!! I came here on a whim for a nail EMERGENCY! I had gotten my nails done at another salon and that nail tech completely botched them. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she clearly was not experienced. I wasted so much time and money at this other establishment. So I took a leap of faith and found boutique nails on yelp. SO happy I did, I explained to Doe what happened and showed him the photo of what I wanted. He worked his magic in a matter of minutes and fixed my nails like it was breeze!! I took a before and after photo and you can clearly see the quality of work from both techs. Thank you, boutique nails and Doe for being so kind and your expertise.

Where do I even start? I first started coming here when outside started to open back up during the beginning of the pandemic. At this time this shop was still fairly new, so they were SUPER busy and didn't have a front desk person to handle the steady flow of customers. At that time "Doe" would be my preferred tech because I thought he did beautiful work. My very first time in his chair he did what I call the best pink & white French set (I still think about that set) that I have EVER gotten in LIFE. HOWEVER, the super busy nature of the shop started to impact the quality of my nails as time went on. I would make appointments for what I thought were simple services and I would find myself spending 3+ hours there. So I went on to find another shop. Unfortunately, the new shop was completely out of my way and wasn't worth the 30-45 minute drive. So fast forward to Feb 2023 a few years later, I came back to Boutique and walked in on a random Monday and just asked for an acrylic overlay over my natural nails. Pretty basic! It was beautiful (unfortunately I didn't get my techs name), I asked for a "milky/muted white" gel polish and she carefully mixed two colors for me . This set lasted almost 4weeks. As much as I loved it, I knew that I had to get them filled in. So I made an impromptu same day appointment on a Monday, thinking I would be able to get the same lady. I didn't. I was sat with "Yaya". Sweet lady, but definitely lacks an aspect of customer service that EYE think is super important. LISTENING! I told Ms. Ya, that I wanted the exact (or something similar to) the color she had just filed off and even told her the names of the colors that were mixed for me at my last appointment. Instead of Ms. Ya to say she didn't have the colors, she pushed and insisted that I use a sheer blush pink. I didn't want that, we agreed that I would use the pink as a first coat but I wanted Funny Bunny on top. Ya proceeds to put 3 coats of the blush pink without a base clear coat and about the same for Funny Bunny. The very next morning, less than 24 hours later... I had chipped polish on one finger, so I went back to go have it fixed. Another lady stepped in to fix the issue as Ms. Ya was attending to a customer. I made sure to ask the new lady (loud enough for Ms. Ya to hear as she was sitting next to us) if the rest would chip... I was told "No, they won't" + some more detail. Of course I couldn't challenge their expertise because I'm not skilled in cosmetology... So here we are about 2 hours later and now TWO new nails have chipped. I would be wrong if I went back to demand a polish change ON THEM?!

I had a gel manicure and it's truly the worst manicure I had ever had. No cuticle oil was used and my cuticles were not cut properly. After three days, my cuticles look worse than when I walked in. If you go here, I suggest doing your research and looking for a good technician. The attached photos are 3 days after my manicure. I paid $40 and I feel completely cheated.

First and foremost, taking time to take care of yourself to enhance one's beauty should not mean being subject to excruciating pain. Simple non-invasive cosmetic procedures such as manicures, facials even waxing should not result in a dreadful experience. More than likely it is possibly projected which direction this review is headed. To get my nails down there is regiment that is normally followed to the T, however since my nail technician is not available on Saturday's I decided to research another option. My investigation was to find an upscale nail salon, that offered plush services which includes the following: · User-friendly website with booking options · Good reviews by at least 10 previous clients · Clean, COVID-19 friendly facility · Professional staff · Great images of artistry · Luxurious atmosphere with fabulous décor · Offers refreshments · Powdered Nails options For 2 days diligently researched various nail salons within the DMV and was willing to go with at least 6 of the 8 preferred requirements listed. Between at least 5 apps, reading reviews, and considering the location for parking finding this perfect place proved to be a difficult task. So, I settled, my final decision was based on convenience and the awareness that I was unable to find a nail salon that met all my preferences. However, in its defense the place had decent (mixed) reviews and appeared to have a nice décor. Here is where the review begins, when walking in I received that good ole traditional 'let me yell at you to ask what type of service you want, while working on another client' greeting, which annoys me. Then of course the command tone of 'sit there sit there and pick a color' let us pause. When going to a place that is called a spa or salon the whole vibe is supposed to be tranquil, a sense of peace should be felt the moment you enter, that feeling is somehow NEVER the case for these sweatshop nail places. You are yelled at, rushed, and not even offered a drop of water. Resume: the person who assisted appeared to be the manager/owner he was also the receptionist and nail tech, seeing this one may show I thought to myself I hope he does not work on my nails due to the many distractions. Instructed to sit at a station, I was given the color ring and asked what services I would be getting. Keep in mind, when it is time to get my nails done money is not an issue, I am very familiar with the cost of services. For service I needed to get the previous dipped powder removed along with jewels, another set done and a pedicure. On at least 3 nails were jewels that had been glued on after the dip was applied, this was not done by acrylic. The person running this shop, the one I was hoping not to get sits down and looks over my nails he proceeds to get the nail clippers to cut down my nails, I had to snatch my hand away. Powdered solution allows your nails to grow, and the normal removal is through soaking with acetone, but noooo here comes the 'we don't care how just sit there and take it' method. For some reason, these sweatshop nail places think it is ok to ruin your follicles and just snip, pull, and use a fake nail to remove dip polished nails. Knowing this I made it very clear SEVERAL TIMES that my nails need to be soaked, but due to the glued jewels he kept insisting that it had to be pried off; and was REFUSING TO LISTEN, REFUSING. Even when I told him the jewels were on by glue, he tells me "no it's on with powder" he was completely wrong. I certainly got loud, because by that time he had cut down the extensions to the real nails and the other jewels did come off, all I could do is be insisting. This was very upsetting, and he still tried to remove the jewel with a tool and ended up splitting my real nail down the middle causing it to bleed. Because I knew my nails were going to be soaked this injury meant pain. When the nail split the technician tried to ignore this infraction, so I quickly pointed it out, 'this is what you did and now it will hurt when you soak my nails', his response was 'it'll hurt at first but then it will numb'. At this point I am boiling and my mental is distraught. After 2 minutes of soaking, he came back to check the jewel and it came right off, he then apologized repeatedly, but did that mean anything to me? Nope! This sort of ambush service is obviously accepted because of how persistent this tech was which is horrible. I arrived at 11:30 am did not leave until close to 3 pm, this would not have been an issue if I had not been feeling traumatized the entire time oh and 'numb'. When you decide to spend your money on getting pampered how and why is it excusable to get mediocre treatment? Most of these nail shops did not skip a beat due to COVID and here we are still supporting these run-of-the-mill businesses that refuse to provide quality services. Nail salons need to do better.

I went in for a gel manicure just 4 days ago and already the nail polish has come off all my nails. The polish didn't chip, it completely lifted off my actual nails. I had already felt this manicure was way overpriced at $45 for a basic color with no design whatsoever, and now realizing the quality of this service it's definitely not worth $45. The staff was friendly and acknowledged customers quickly, but due to the poor quality, I would never go back here. read more

I was hoping I would like this nail salon, but it ended up being the worst one I have been to yet. When the nail tech was cutting the skin around my nails she cut me and I was bleeding on nails on both hands. My nails ended up looking decent but it is unacceptable to cut your clients skin so bad they are bleeding on multiple fingers! I paid $50 for a gel manicure. No acrylics or anything fancy. No designs or gems. All the other nail salons that I have been to are $35-40 for this service. It is even more disappointing that I paid the most money for the worst experience. read more

$40 for a fill in with regular clear polish. The nail salons are ridiculous. No extra length but everything is itemized file, shaping when I came in with this shape and no cut down. These experiences just result in discontinuing services like this because it's not worth it. 6/1/24 read more

Laurels newest nail salon, and it's AMAZING! I called earlier today and asked if they were closing early due to the snow. The gentleman on the line answered with a kind voice and informed me that they would be open till their normal closing time. My boyfriend and I walked in and were immediately greeted by a gentleman named Doe. The decor is beautiful and really puts you in that boujee "treat yo self" mood. We waited about 5 minutes while our spa tubs were being filled. While we sat down we were offered hot tea or water, so nice! We both got the basic pedicures with callous remover. Doe did mine and he was both gentle and very thorough. This was the best pedicure I've ever had by far. I also need to add that they were very thorough with disinfecting everything which is definitely a big deal! Next was my fill for my fingernails. They were pretty botched, uneven, and crooked from my last manicure at another salon. Doe listened to my requests and did exactly what I had in mind! They're all even and so beautifully polished! They have a very large and unique selection for gel nails. (Check out the "Cat Eye" colors, they're gorgeous!) With that all being said, Doe is amazing and I'm sure the rest of the staff are as well. DOE SAVED THE DAY AND MY NAILS!!! I am absolutely OVER THE MOON so happy and so impressed with how great my nails look now! A week ago I had gone to another nail place to have my nails done (it had been since the beginning of March so I was desperate!!) I figured I'd try somewhere new, close to home and work! And since my regular place was not open yet. Long story short I left there completely disappointed and embarrassed on what a horrible job they did and not to mention, two of my nails popped off only four days after having them done! For 3 days I researched another nail salon, read reviews, looked at pictures... and came across BOUTIQUE NAIL AND SPA! Of course I was nervous to try another nail place and spend MORE money.. but the gentlemen on the phone assured me he'd take care of me.. so I went, and from the moment I walked in till left I loved it!! They were all so welcoming, professional.. the place was clean, relaxing and comfortable to be in. Doe, who did my nails was extremely professional and showed that he genuinely cared about fixing nails. He took his time and talked me through all of what he was doing and made sure I liked it! I will definitely come back and probably make this place my new spot for everything... nails, pedicures, waxing.. all of it! I've already told 2 of my girlfriends they need to come with me next time! Okay I've been coming here for 2 years. Monica did an amazing job. Her attention to detail is meticulous and I LOVE how careful she is to make sure you're doing okay throughout the whole process. I LOVE my nails, the employees are always professional and kind, and the space is so clean, peaceful and so busy so definitely call ahead and let them know what you want done, they're super accommodating! Thank you Monica! I'm so sad I have to move away from this area, going to miss this salon. I got dip nails for $50. read more

Amazing new salon lots of fresh brand new colors to choose from! I've been going to Ny for almost 10years now and she never disappoints! I always feel like a new person after seeing her! She always does a great job when I get a Gel mani, pedi, and my eye brows done! I've recommended several people and they were very happy! Well I patronize this business on 1/23/23 with my daughter for pedicures while on our way to autobahn. Several lady techs and one man whom was the manager. He presented a laminated sheet with the selection of there offers. I chose the spa pedicure and my 12yr old got a regular pedicure. The man told me the spa pedicure will get the BLACK off of me. So I ask the tech what is the neighborhood like, is there any other races around here. She said it's pretty diverse. I asked for the owner couldn't get his information. I really think he needs more training in customer service/relations. Picture below shows I'm black but it isn't coming off with a sea salt scrub. Tech (mole over right eye)did great work. I would have gotten her name but I really wanted to maintain myself in front of my daughter. read more

This was my first time at this salon and I almost gave them a 5 star review! I really wish I could. The place was very nice, clean, covid compliant, spacious and modern. I was very happy with my technician at first and she took her time doing my nails. I got gel mani and pedi. Everything was fine and I was excited to return to this salon since it is so close to my house! However, my gel manicure chipped 2 days after application! I never had this happen before so fast. I understand that things sometimes happen with the use of your hands but I have not put my manicure to any tough work at all. So I am a little dissapointed because I really wanted to like this place. read more

Linda did a great job on my nails, I will return. The only annoying part was I had an appointment and wasn't seen until 40 min later. Like why accept an appointment if it's not going to be at that time. But I'm not too upset because the service was good and my nails look great read more

Unfortunately this will be my last time there. I made an appointment with the only nail tech I like in this nail salon, Alex. When I arrived, she was unavailable so I was stuck with someone who was talking about me to one of the other techs that did an awful job the first time I went there. She remembered me because I complained about what awful work she did. At any rate....I was willing to give this one a chance. I chose a spa pedicure...which was lackluster at best. She didn't give a good massage (stroking someones leg in up and down strokes is annoying). She then attempted to leave a thick layer of oil on my legs, which would've undoubtedly messed up my pant legs. Next up...gel manicure. I had to point out nail polish on my fingers which she never removed. When she was done, I asked the man with the blond streaks and mohawk cut if I am supposed to get a hand massage. He said yes...I asked if the massage consists of just rubbing the oil into my skin. He said yes. $90 later...I have two borderline mediocre services in one day. Never again. Too bad Alex....you're a star surrounded by 2nd rate performers. read more

I went there after reading reviews of Doe, the technician. The place is clean and looks nice. I made an appointment with him for 12pm which he squeezed me in for, I didn't leave till 1:48. He didn't pay attention to my nails because he's practically running the whole show, ie, talking to walk-ins, picking up the phone, taking appointments. He walked away from my table several times. I did Ombre nails and expressed to him that my nails were too thick, he was dismissive and told me that's how it's supposed to be. Also complained about him over filling the nails too pointy and the left looks more filed than the right. He just wanted me out of his seat. He might be considered good to other people but I wasn't impressed. This cost $85. read more

Went in and they werent busy at all..which was great for me. I was greeted by one of the female worker..I told her what I needed and asked for price. I also checked out their menu and found it to be reasonable. I received my service by one of the owners, Doe. He was pretty cool and was very confident in his craft. He had some special techniques I had never seen used before. I didn't feel like he was in a hurry...he took his time... and I wasnt sitting there forever (yay)!!! The atmosphere was super clean and furnished very well. I dont have any complaints...however if I have to give any honest feedback..I'd have to say that Doe and the other staff be a bit more personable.. just a little more read more

BESIDES overpriced. They suck. Lol they really do just look at my picture. I got my nails done 5 days ago. Gel mani and pedi. I get my nails done frequently and every so often I come to this place to give them a chance but this was the last straw. read more

4/5 stars because I had an appointment scheduled and there was still a wait time when I arrived. If you don't mind waiting it is a nice place to get a relaxing spa treatment. everyone was friendly and they did a great job doing our manicures and pedicures. My nail tech (I believe her name is Ming I'm sorry if I spelled it wrong!) she took her time and even blended colors to make sure I got the perfect olive green that I wanted. The staff also are wearing masks, sanitize, and make sure the seating is distanced. My nails are almost 2 weeks old and still looks brand new, I'll be back :) read more

Went here tonight it's Friday evening with my best friend. I got the gel manicure. I showed them the design I wanted from my phone and they were able to immediately give me exactly what I wanted. I read the reviews on yelp which is what brought me to this place and I'm so glad I came here. I found my new favorite nail salon. read more

I came to this salon, while in the area, because it had the best reviews. The nail tech that did my nails was nice; however, the nail job that I received was not quality. I requested a gel manicure and I'm not sure if gel polish was used. The polish is very thin and it started to chip after 4 days. A top coat was also used which I was confused about but it is also chipping. This is a shame because the color is really pretty. Sadly, I won't be returning again. read more

I went into salon on a impulse. Actually, I went because of the reviews I read on Yelp and I was in the area for a couple hours and needed my nails done. I was looking for a new spot anyway. I highly recommend trying this place out. My technician was Maleah. I read good reviews for her so I was glad I got her. She did an excellent job! I will be making an appointment or requesting her when I go back. read more
