In the dead of summer, I had hella nerve walking in here without an appointment! I was immediately greeted and didn't even sit in the waiting area! I was service by technician Linda! She asked if I would like water or anything and she began my pedicure! The pedicure was awesome! I also got a manicure and a eyebrow wax! She was awesome and very good! Very meticulous without being prompted to look at this or look at that! Needless to say, I have been going here ever since and being seen by her! The worst salon I've ever been in my whole life. Workers are really rude and cold, the way they talk to their customers is crazy like we're kids, very disrespectful employees. I went there to do my lashes for $55, the next days everything came out, so I called to know what we can do about it, one lady tells me oh what did you do with your eyes like I'm a fucking child, this is not my first time going in a salon to do my lashes, I'm telling her she didn't do a good job because if she did I wouldn't have to come back the next day and complain. I called on a random Thursday evening to see how long the wait time would be for a gel manicure - they told me they would be able to take me immediately. The nail shop is clean. The parking lot can be sometimes a lot because there's always a lot of people come in and out of the bakery/restaurants around. My gel manicure was okay. She barely soaked my hand in the water. She did try her best to clean my dead skin. The shaping wasn't the best. I knew some of my nails were longer than others so I asked her to even them out. She didn't really deliver. The rest of the service was basic. What I can say is that my nails did not come out bumpy. They are smooth and look nice. I came in for a basic gel manicure and that's exactly what they gave me. I paid $35 and left tip. Would I come here if I want nail art and Instagram nails? Probably not. If I need a quick pedicure and manicure, then yeah I would consider. The lady who took me was super friendly and nice but she quite a bit slow when it came to doing nails but she did a good job. I also got my eyebrows down and she did a really good job. My pedi and gel mani turned out beautifully. TBD how long the gel nails last. My main gripe is that like 5 of my fingers hurt due to them over cutting my cuticles, which is all types of risky for infection. Also, one of my fingers started bleeding a bit which I had to point out to the tech. If they don't know what is/is not cuticle, they shouldn't be cutting them. It's my fault I couldn't remember the techs name who did a great job on my nails here during my first visit. I went back 2 more times after that attempting to get her. The second visit a diff tech talked over me the whole time. I literally had to get up to find the 2020 gel color stripe I had the last visit bc she wouldn't listen to what I was asking for. Nails were also not good when she finished, popped off & didn't last. The third visit I had another new tech, she dug her tool into my nail bed actually making me bleed. She quickly covered it with glue & acrylic. Nails were trash again, she gave me the most disgusting white fillin I have EVER had. I work with a lot of paper. So I quickly could see how the nail polish was not white but some gross grayish color probably bc of the "clear" overlay. Anyway I wanted to like it here, but can not recommend. read more

And I even got into a conversation with the woman next to me who was just a sweetheart. But, as I've said in past reviews. 3 stars or higher is for someplace that I would come back to. And I just can't recommend this place based solely on the cleanliness. I sat down in the pedicure chair and I almost cancelled my pedicure. The drawer that they were using so so so dirty on the top of the drawer, it just started to make me reconsider. Also the tools that they brought over were not wrapped before use. The oils and scrubs were open and didn't looks so clean. Then I looked behind the pedicure chairs, and it was clear that they just don't clean behind there. It just started to call all these questions into mind. And when you're dealing with tools that are digging into your skin, you want to know that the people who run that establishment are meticulous about cleanliness... and this was certainly not the case. If they want to clean up their act, I'd be back. But I can't overlook the possible hazard of the current state of the salon. read more

The WORSE NAIL salon! I been here 3 times and each time I've been there my nails have lifted after a week. Each time I've expressed my issue they never try to fix it or try to accommodate me or issue, useless customer service with no knowledge of dip-powder. I only get dip power and my nails have last up to 3-4 weeks with 0 cracks and 0 lifting when I go to my other nail salon in Wheaton Mall. When I moved to laurel, I had to find a new nail salon closer to home than my old place in Greenbelt. I thought back and remembered the place where I used to get my hair done was also a nail salon (I know it sounds strange but there are 2 booths they rent out to stylists; complete with a shampoo bowl and dryers). Anyway, the salon was pretty decent and the people were always nice. So, I decided to give a go! I was greeted by a friendly woman busy doing a manicure and asked to sign in and pick my colors. I'm so picky about my pedicures, I was hoping to get someone creative and sanitary. Lani was my nail technician and I was relieved when she donned a fresh pair of latex gloves before she did my pedi! I was very pleased with the finished product, ten perfectly polished little piggies! While I was waiting under the UV light for my toes to dry, a severe thunderstorm broke out! The ladies made me feel welcomed and comfortable while waiting out the storm, we chatted and they even offered me some of their snacks. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. I went to this nail salon because it's closer my new house and my current nail lady is pregnant and on maternity leave. WORST DECISION EVER. The person who serviced me name is supposedly Nina not sure if that's her name or if she lied. Nonetheless I was there 2pm to 5:30pm! And what did I get for it horrible nails and a moderately decent pedicure. Below is my experience I called around 1pm to see if they were open and inform them I'd like to come in. The person on the phone said to come in 30 minutes. Arrived at 1:45/2 and informed them I wanted a pedicure and DIP nail polish. She told me to pick a color and I asked for the dip color chart and was told nothing. I assumed she didn't hear me so I sat down and waited. I didn't wait long maybe 10-15 minutes and then was instructed to go to a chair. My nails were soaked and wrapped and then I proceeded to the pedicure chair. The pedicure was average, nothing amazing and they did not have any pedicure levels just one pedicure type. The lady in the chair next to me finished and they removed the blue bag they placed in the chair, rinsed the bowl with water and then replaced it with a new bag! No spraying of the tube, wiping it down, just replacing it with another bag. I was disgusted! I was finally told to go back to the chair to begin my nails and the lady did not help to bring my shoes, bag or anything and just looked at me. So I struggled to bring my things and move to her station. My manicure was horrible and I considered leaving but I knew I had a meeting in the morning and needed my nails done. Nina began to scrap my nails and when I told her that was not needed she went to get the dip power and polish. Now I've been getting dip polish on my natural nails for over a year and I've been to nail salons in DC, College Park, California and Bethesda so I know the process quite well. After she did not use a clear dip coat, she started to shove my nails into the power and create a horrible mess. I tried to instruct her on how to proceed which she ignored. After 40 mins! Of a horrible experience my nails came out HORRIBLE. I told her I did not like it and to remove it and just do a regular manicure. With attitude she proceeded but then decided I needed to pay full dip price for the nails. Her attitude was horrible, the other nail techs did nothing and she refused to get the owner/ manager to resolve our issues. I won't bore you with the details but I will never patron this place again and I highly recommend anyone in the area to not patron this place either. I observed unsanitary conditions, rude customer service and inexperienced technicians. I would have found it acceptable if they just said they didn't know how to do dip nails. I would have gotten just the pedicure and left! read more

I've never had my nails look so bad after leaving a salon. My two pinky nails are completely different shapes, my gel polish is not smooth and has dust particles in it. I had to tell my nail tech, limited nail tech, to fix the amount of powder on one of my nails because it looked crooked (it was) so now I'm here getting them to take the polish off of my nails so that I can either fix them myself before a speaking engagement tomorrow or find another nail salon to fix them. It gets worse as I sit and type this and she goes over my cuticles with the electric buffer, hopefully I don't have to bleed for the $40 I just spent either.
