I have been to various nail salons and to be honest, I really like the works and atmosphere that they provided here. I got a pedicure from Lee, she is very nice, she asked about my day and share her stories, we had a great conversation. She took good care of my feet, massage and everything. Then Alex did my full set. The shape, design are amazing. This guy is very talented. He can does all trending nail designs and shapes. I will definitely be back to this salon. I booked an appointment on-line, received my confirmation, and a friendly reminder so I thought my appointment would be great. I arrived at 5:10 only to be told that my nail tech was gone. After I asked if they could call her to see if she was going to return, she asked if I could come back tomorrow. I told her"no" so that's when the tech said she would turn. She returned and completed my pedicure while another tech did my nails. Why allow customers to schedule appointments and then you leave? A simple call to me would've been appreciated. read more

I got a regular gel mani/pedi fill. If you're looking for good customer service or hospitality this place is not for you. They do your nails and that's it. I got these done yesterday on April 25, 2025. We started out with my nail/mani. What angered me is the old sticky nail polish he used. I told him his polish was old and I didn't like it. You will see the purple polish attached. My gel pedi fill was very nice but I just could not be happy with the purple nails so I paid to get another nail color. The tech who did my feet was the one who did my nail color change. First time at this nails place. There was a minimal wait time (5-7 minutes) and I was a walk-in with my two other friends. I got a pedicure with scrub and a gel manicure. Great pedicure in my opinion. Staff was very nice and detail-oriented. The scrub was worth the extra few dollars because my feet are SO soft now and the nail polish and cuticles on my toes looks very neat. Pedicure deserving of 5 stars for sure. I wanted a gel manicure and came with a few reference photos because I wanted a swirly design. They said they would be able to do it but once they grabbed the colors, they were completely off from my reference picture. After some discussion, it became clear that they didn't understand the design I wanted and wouldn't be able to do it so I had to settle for a different design. It was not a difficult design, and they kept telling me they could do it, but with completely mismatched colors and not understanding the design, they made it clear that they wouldn't be able to do that one and it would look nothing like my reference picture. I chose green tips instead. It was well done. The quality of the manicure was good, and my cuticles are nice and trimmed. read more

I went to Kevin Nails 2 in Laurel for a mani/pedi and was not pleased at all. The two stars were because the workers were nice but skills were not. I will not return. Also, a group of ladies came in who made an appointment and was told to call back later because the only two techs were busy. Not very good business. Two ladies came in later asking about nail services and were not giving full attention by the manager in sort of dismissive way as she was organizing receipts. This was probably the worst experience I've had with a nail salon. My cousin and I went in to our appointment and asked for the same thing. Before starting, the nail tech asked me how I would be paying and I told them it would be together and by card. We showed the two male nail techs who do our nails the picture of what we wanted and they guaranteed they could do it. I assured them that if it was too much we can try something else but they insisted that they could do it. I asked my tech if we could just do the dip powder instead of the acrylic tips and he said yes. He drilled my nails down and then brought out the acrylic tips and said that it would look better with acrylic. I told him because of my Professor I need to keep my nails short. He then cut down my nails and did the dip powder and then told me the design I wanted would not be possible and asked me to choose a nail Sri let instead. I told him it was okay and to just do plain dip powder without designs. At the end, MY NAILS LOOKED LIKE BUBBLES!!! My frustration comes from the fact that I was promised a product and then half way in, they told me they couldn't deliver. I felt like I was lied to. My nail tech also did not cut my cuticles, rather he DRILLED my skin off. It's been a few days and my cuticles are now bleeding and in pain. After finishing, I handed him my card to pay and he insisted that I pay with cash even though I was told in the beginning I could use card. Make sure you have them write down how much they are charging before they start... took my daughter here and they added about $45 to the initial price quoted and then then just keep saying "sorry" when you ask them to explain. It is insane! They charged $75 for an 8 year olds mani/pedi instead of just the $45 quoted. And then tried to blame it on a "design" when they didn't even paint the whole nail. Infuriating. I used to come here all the time but I won't be any more. They didn't even do a good job on a basic gel application either! I use to go to this shop back in 2021. I stopped because I would always have to go back within in days because the gel would chip or peel off. I decided to give them another chance yesterday. I went to get a gel refill. My nails looked great. I paid tipped and went home.. The very next morning the gel polish was peeling off, chipped and more... I was not a happy camper at all. I came to visit this site because it was a nail salon that services SNS nails right in my own neighborhood. Other places featuring this service were much farther out. This shopping center is cramped, at a busy intersection and the actual business is no different. It is cramped and dark and not very relaxing. Both technicians seemed to do and great job on my pedicure and nails. I would come again for a the SNS nails. I'd pass on the pedicure in this small space. Just left Kevin Nails 2 and I will not be returning. I've been coming to Kevin nails for a few years now and would usually see Eric. Today I saw another gentleman, who while doing my toes, cut me on the side of my big toe. He utilized a few different methods to try and get the bleeding to stop but that wasn't working. I told the gentleman that I was no longer comfortable continuing the service because I did not feel that it was sanitary to add gel polish to a toe that was still bleeding (especially since the gel polish is a shared bottle). The gentleman kept trying to convince me that it was okay and that the toe was no longer bleeding (the toe was clearly still bleeding), not listening to my desire to discontinue the service. After repeating myself several times he finally relented and then stated that I owed $30. I thought this was absolutely outrageous considering the fact that I left the salon with no nail polish but instead with a cut on my big toe that was not there when I entered the salon. I am currently headed to CVS to get a bandaid because they could not even provide that. Are nails salons not supposed to have a first aid kit on site? This is extremely unsafe and unsanitary. I will not be back and quite honestly Kevin Nails 2 owes me $30. read more

I went to this business for the first time during covid and it was great! 2 months later, I went back and I am EXTREMELY disappointed! I did not get the same great service and my pedicure was mediocre in addition to it taking 1.5 hours...for no good reason. If I asked any questions including their price list that was outdated and why the nail tech was varying between answering his phone then back to picking up mail equipment to return to my pedicure, it was met with a lot of aggression. Health is wealth so I try to make sure I get a manicure twice a month. Being a guy I found it weird at first, but that tense quickly went away. The establishment is very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs as well. I only had time to come in for a manicure today next time I'll take the leap of faith and get a pedicure as well. The best part about the experience was that it only cost me $19 ($5 extra since I got them buffed) for the manicure. They do allow you to add tip before swiping your debt card.
