Pedicure time! This place has always done my nails really well whether it be just a pedicure or a mani-pedi. The ladies are nice and very experienced . I had Cathy this time & she gave the best foot massage ! She did an amazing job! ( I actually have not been disappointed with anyone else) .I had been coming here for years & now I'm so glad that they've reopened! The place have always been clean before & now they have Covid protocols in place - temperature checks on arrival, questionnaire & hand sanitizer by your hands as soon as you arrive. Appointments only so that only a few clients are inside at any given time. A full service nail salon that does quality work & excellent service . read more

I've been coming to Elegant Touch for almost two years now. Kathy, Hellen, and Susan are phenomenal. They are welcoming, kind, and so talented. The attention to detail and quality is unmatched. Hellen has done some of my absolute favorite manicures I've ever received (pic of my latest below - I'm obsessed!). Hellen and Kathy both helped me grow back a nail that none of us were sure would ever grow back. I'm so thankful I was introduced to these ladies because visiting them is always such a treat read more

Tracy is amazing . Always there to accommodate me and even stays late so I can come after work! Love you Tracy!!!

I have been a regular of this nail salon since I moved to the area 8 yrs ago. I have a standing appointment. In my opinion, it's an average sized clean, well maintained salon with exceptional people doing the work. What you will find: is quality product, professional, skilled & friendly nail stylists. For those other reviews: Yes, they speak Vietnamese to one another. But that's because it's their first language. They aren't talking about you. They aren't those catty women you hear about. This isn't that type of establishment. They speak English very well and if you converse with them.... They have intelligent things to say back! (Shocking right?! ... Get a life people!) Want to know why?! They are the same. Respectable women and mothers who have depth beyond nails. So chat it up with them, make a friend, treat them with respect, they are people too. Good, amazing, funny people who I look forward to seeing every 2 weeks. The added bonus is that the clientele is the same. Amazing women!! (And the very courageous man, here and there) I get a gel mani, a hot stone pedi & an eyebrow wax every 2 weeks with Jessie like clockwork. Their pedis are amazing. They have a menu where you can choose your sugar scrub or upgrade your service. I used to do the basic spa pedi (spa pedi: nail care, dead skin removal, sugar scrub, massage & color), then I tried the hot oil, then I took a chance and tried the hot stone (it helps my chronic pain). Let me just forewarn you, once you plunge into the abyss of what is called the hot stone pedicure, you will never come back. It's addictive and costly so find a way to work it in your budget. It's the highest priced pedi you can get (from what I recall) and there is reason.... It is paradise. Hot stone will not only relax you, take away your pain, but it will take you on a mini mind vacation that you will never want to leave. After a hot stone pedi, you leave loving life, loving your job and... Even loving your in laws. What I've learned by going here is: I need a friendly professional clean environment. I'm a professional, so my expectations are high and snobby as compared to most. I've been to the snooty fancy pants high end nail salons both here and in New York and all I left with was regret and sub par service. So no, they do not have crystal chandeliers, bottle service, catered lunch, a waterfall that is a replica of Niagra Falls, incense burning or Enya playing through the speakers. Let me tell you, all that glitters ain't gold. What they do have is good people, good work & happy clients. This salon may not glitter aesthetically, but there is no denying it far surmounts gold. read more

So my husband look this placed up it had 5 stars..so we went. On arrival no one greeted us nothing for 3 or 4 mins..yes they saw us. Than we were ask what we wanted not can we help you. I told them sns powder and a pedicure for both of us..than before i could say a waxing on my eyebrows it was do you have an appointment. No. Did we need one? Apparently you did to get the services you wanted on my pedicure, she took part of my toe nail and said it was a hang nail..she cause get deal of pain. My toe bleed all day. We were not given a pamphlet that showed there services. I did see the other people who came in were given that option. Would we return there, hell no..as for walk in dont..in order to get any service you need an appointment for them to be nice to you. My nails were correct, but still they rushed it.. Be careful when you go in there read more

Susan is a real pro at doing powder based nails. Her trimming of cuticles and filing of nail shape is also excellent. She gives a great hand massage as well and is very personable. Appointments are accepted. Come in early enough to pick your color ahead of time. read more

Tried this shop as a walk-in, as I couldn't get an appointment with my typical shop. I had gel nails that had to be soaked off, and requested a cat eye polish. My entire visit took an hour and 20 minutes, and I was seen by 3 techs. Never had that experience before. I guess one of the techs did not know how to do the cat eye process. I was also cut twice, and this is what my thumb looks like, 1 week later. Overall, the quality of the gel is still good after a week, but I wouldn't go back. read more

Won't go anywhere else. They are clean, sanitary, excellent at what they do and use great products.

Whenever I am in town I come here to get a pedicure. The staff is friendly, definitely not the kind of people who talk about you while smiling. They have tons of awesome options for pedicures that include mango, cappuccino, lemon dream, papaya. My favorite will always be the hot oil pedicure. Towards the end they put this green stuff on your legs and then wrap them in hot towels. Your legs will feel wonderfully tingly for the next few hours. Everything is always clean and you never have to question if your tools have been sterilized. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel pampered without totally breaking the bank. read more

Just like others before me, I came across this salon on Yelp. My friend and I went for pedis and I got a manicure. Tracy was my technician for both. She was great :) Things I liked: - layout of the salon, pedicure stations were separate from the front of the store allowing for a more relaxed environment and more personal experience - the pedi was AMAZING - gave me an extensive foot and leg massage, very relaxing Things I didn't like: - prices were a little high, but this is Columbia They have lots of options for types of pedicures, too many if you ask me. With all flavors (literally) and styles. Everyone is very pleasant and friendly. I read reviews before me where they felt like they were being talked about or the technician wasn't paying attention. I didn't experience that. Frankly, I could care less if they were talking about me in their native language. Another reviewer mentioned the 'upsell'. At first, I thought Tracy wouldn't let go of the idea I didn't want a gel manicure. Two weeks after my manicure, I realize she was just telling me what she knew. Gel really is better and lasts longer than regular polish. Next time, I'll spring for the gel manicure. Final thought: great salon, friendly atmosphere, professional, and clean. P.S. - You can't leave a tip if you're paying by credit card. read more

I came here based solely on the other Yelp reviews; and I got my first gel manicure yesterday. I was a little annoyed when I walked in and they didn't acknowledge me...but someone finally asked how they could help me. Tony was my nail tech. He filed my nails perfectly, and I am very pleased with the shape. He trimmed my cuticles perfectly. He polished them perfectly, and they have a lot of polish colors to chose from...I went with an orangy-red with a hint of shimmer. This is THE BEST manicure I have ever had! read more

When I first arrived at Elegant Touch I was skeptical. It is small (which I don't mind at all), and (what I did mind) was the missed nail clippings when I sat down in the old, worn pedicure seats. But then something magical happened - Tony began their mango pedicure which included a sugar scrub, mask, pedicure, and leg and foot massage. The pedicure (I got a French) was perfection. Also, I have, what I have determined, chronically dry, cracked feet. After Tony finished my pedicure, there was not a trace of dead or dry skin anywhere. I was blown away. At this point, I no longer cared what the place looked like - my feet were in paradise. Then, I got a regular French manicure (also by Tony) which was just as good as the pedicure (although with a shorter massage). He did amazing work and we chatted the whole time. So, why 4/5 and not 5/5? The cleanliness level was below my expectations and I, of course, was seated in the only pedicure chair without a functional back-massager. Cleanliness is incredibly important to me. So, the fact that I still gave them 4/5 means that the mani/pedi I received from Tony where really that good. Also, I'm from PA (recently moved to the Columbia area) so I'm used to cheaper prices (they up-charged $5 for the French on BOTH my hands and my feet) but I will be going back. read more

I really liked this place until they started increasing the price on me for no reason. They quoted me one price on the phone and then increased it by almost $10 when I came in for service. I didn't receive anything extra to warrant the chang in price . This has happened to me twice, and I won't be going back. It's bad business. read more

I really like this salon. They are consistent and their work is always quality. They never remember me though and I'm there every two weeks lol no big deal, still friendly. I usually get gel and it last at least two weeks. I got acrylics last time bc my nails are just too weak and I wanted them longer. I needed them thin and Helen did an amazing job. She also did my eyebrows very well which is amazing bc literally I feel like everyone in columbia has messed them up! I get the basic pedicure instead of the spa and it's always the same price. I think the spa is ten extra for a leg mask, meh. Bring cash for a tip! I always forget. I've never had to wait, it's clean, I mean just no complaints! Go here! read more

I had a horrible gel manicure experience in CA prior to coming to MD; therefore, I was very hesitant to try it again. However, upon reading the great reviews, I was intrigued enough to give gel manicure and Elegant Touch a shot. My sister and I started going here about three months ago and we can't sing enough praises for them. From their cozy atmosphere and warm staff to their masterful skills at gel manicures, it truly is a gem. We have had several different staff members do our gel manicures and have always been satisfied with our results. You truly do get your money's worth here, while feeling like your being welcomed by friends. If you're looking for extraordinary quality gel manicures, service, and professionalism~ you should definitely try Elegant Touch. read more

They are precisely what I needed and at a good price. The water for my pedicure wasn't as warm as I'd prefer, but it's better than getting scalded. The woman that did mine wasn't very communicative, but while I enjoy conversation, it's more important that my toes look decent when we're done than much else. While not required, I recommend getting an appointment first, when I first arrived, they were packed. read more

I used to go here all the time before COVID and enjoyed it. I went here around noon on a Monday for a pedi. The polishes have all seen better days. They look like they've been there forever. The lady filled the tub for my feet with water that was around 125 degrees. It was boiling. There were no jets. And the towel she used had actual blood stains on it. Hard pass on this place in the future. read more

Had a good basic pedicure here. Toes looked pretty and had them paint a pretty design on the big toes. Salon was nice and clean. Paid $28 plus a little extra for the big toe designs. read more

Don't expect much from the massage chairs and the staff isn't very friendly. I was one of the first customers as I walked in shortly after they opened. A man did my pedicure and when it was time for moisturizer and massage, he painted my toes and then applied the lotion, avoiding my wet paint so of course my toes were neglected, no massage there.. it was woefully inadequate and virtually no polish selection. I truly wonder how this place has gotten so many favorable reviews. read more

I had mixed feelings about my pedicure here. In the plus column, I felt that the lady doing my nails was meticulous and careful with the trimming and shaping, etc, and did a good job with that--it was one of the more carefully executed pedicures I've ever had in this respect. On the other hand, the massage chairs were not good at all (mine was kind of half-broken), and the other elements of the pedicure were kind of perfunctory-- I got home and found some rough spots where the dead skin was only partially removed the next day. Also, the nail polish selection was lacking, especially for colors outside the red/magenta/purple categories-- they barely had any fun summer colors, I was disappointed to find. I wanted to think they were better than they were-- I actually think I came here like 2 years ago and was much more impressed then. read more

Love this place! Been coming here for the past year. The staff are so nice and friendly. They are very good at doing SNS powder dip polish; it lasts a long time. I am very particular with my nails and they're very patient and definitely know what they're doing; very professional. The price is very reasonable too. read more

While the end result was ok, I didn't enjoy my experience here. I called day of and suggested a time. She asked if I could come at a different time and I agreed. I showed up at 4:45 at her request, and while I got a seat in a chair and had hot water for my feet, my pedicure did not begin until 5:10. Once it finally started, she worked quickly and did not do a thorough job. She was not friendly either. I felt like an inconvenience to her. My toes look good, but I will not return here. read more

I go to elegant touch at least monthly. I don't request anyone in particular because all the technicians I have had are equally good. The prices are average for the area and I can always walk in without waiting. The facility is not the most beautiful but given that it is not a lush spa, I wouldn't expect it to be. Compared to other nail salons in the area, I would say this is one of the cleaner ones. Although I really don't mind when nail techs don't talk to me during the service, the technicians at Elegant Touch all make an effort to be friendly opposed to some other nails salons where the technicians will go the entire service without so much as cracking a smile. In a nutshell, the top qualities of this place are consistent quality, good prices, and convenience. read more

Saturday was my first time here. I had a deluxe, hot oil pedicure done for $35. Nail tech was pleasant and attentive. Before the pedicure began, she brought out a sealed sterilized pack. I'm a no frills iPhone in my ear type of customer so I cannot comment on the small talk. I prefer a minty refreshing scrub so my nail tech suggested the hot oil over the other flavors. I rather enjoyed the warm towels and scrub that left my legs and feet feeling cool and refreshed long after my visit. There was more effort put into the massage than other locations, but I would say the scrub and warm towels were truly the key. Pedicure looks good and she helped me match my color with the shoes I brought in. I will be returning. read more

I read all the positive reviews and decided to check this place out. Loved it! This gel manicure is the best one that I have ever had! It has lasted every bit of 3 weeks and was so well done. Highly recommend - best nail place in the area, best prices. Gel manicure lasts for two week.s

I ventured to this salon after reading a favorable review on this site. Needless to say, I was not disappointed! The salon was clean, quiet, and inviting. They open a sanitized pack of implements before working on you. Helen, the technician who took care of me was friendly, knowledgeable, and best of all, Good at what she does! I received a fabulous gel manicure and polish change. This is only the second gell manicure I've had, but it will not be my last at this salon! It's been exactly one week since getting the gel manicure and I haven't had ANY chips, lifting, or other problems whatsoever. In fact, with the exception of the normal growing out process (the gel help my nails to grow really fast) my nails look as good today, as they did last Wednesday. Give them a try, I'm very happy that I did! (* I didn't give them 5 stars b/c I haven't had a pedicure) read more

just got back from a lunchtime pedicure with two coworkers. quite impressed with this place. reasonable price ($26) to get a standard pedi. they do a great job of scrubbing your foot - sorry that sounds gross, but it's the truth. then it's base coat, two coats, top coat - the way a good mani and/or pedi should be. not only was that part great, but at the end they give you quite an amazing foot/leg rub. i was ready to fall asleep. the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is due to the fact that their massage chairs weren't that great. but, i will DEFINITELY be back for my next pedi. bravo, Elegant Touch! read more

I was impressed with my service at this salon. I got in without a wait. It took about an hour for a gel manicure, for which I paid $30. I called for an appointment & she took my name and was told to come in. I came in 10 mins later & had to wait about 20-25 minutes. It would have been nice to be told on the phone that there may be a slight wait-because I probably would have made other plans. After the wait, I was told to go to the back to the foot spa area. I got into the chair & began to soak my feet. I was told someone will be right with me. I waited for at least 15 minutes. I noticed across at the other foot spas in front of me, that one lady was getting a calf stone massage and three other ladies were waiting for pedicures. This was not feeling like it was going to move any faster over here either plus I was behind these three other ladies in waiting. I hand signaled to one lady & kind of motioned 'time' as to mean, how long have you been waiting & she understood & shrugged her shoulders at signaled 10-15 minutes? That was enough for me to know that today was not a day that I can spend all day waiting for a simple manicure & pedicure. I grabbed a towel on the chair in front of me & dried my feet. Someone who worked there saw me getting ready to leave & came to apologize. I said I didn't have the time today but maybe I'll come back. Maybe. read more

If I could leave no stars, I would. They made me and my two friends wait for 15-30 whole minutes before they even started fixing our nails. And when they finally got us seated and soaked our nails, they had us soaking for ANOTHER 30 minutes because they had us waiting while they took OTHER people who walked in! They literally would drop us mid-manicure and take care of other customers walking in, and start on them! Such bad service, and also ended up not doing a great job on my nails. Will never be coming back here. My friends and I were very disappointed. read more

I was in the area and needed a last minute manicure. Yelp had good reviews so I decided to try this salon. The salon was accommodating in taking me close to closing time for a gel manicure. The only thing to look out for is the sample shade I picked didn't exactly match the polish color in the bottle but Susan was more than happy to change it or add another coat. I had a basic pedicure for $26 plus callus removal (which was suggested) for an additional $5. It lasted more than 45 minutes and I felt the woman did a great job. She was very attentive to details.
