Absolutely beautiful nail salon! They've just finished a remodel and what a difference! Light, bright, fresh and clean. This is my daughter and all her friend's favorite salon. She treated me with a manicure and pedicure, both gel. The nail technician was very good. I loved my pedicure! Prices were not bad either, $160 for a regular pedi, gel pedi, gel manicure with design and a dip manicure. Both pedicures included callous remover. Other salons I frequent would have been at least $190. At least! I highly recommend US Nails! read more

My mom brought me here in January for the first time after coming with her friend. I got tips and the dip powder polish. We recently went back to get our nails redone. This time, I didn't need tips on my thumbs because they had grown so much since last time. My nails are growing well, something I tend to have trouble with. We get our nails done by Phil who is very friendly and knowledgeable. I stopped here today after my trip to the gym. I don't regularly go to have my nails done because places I have gone to in the past have always tried to sell me extra services that I didn't want or they plain out right tried to tell me I needed. I'm not going to a salon to have someone make me feel bad about myself. I loved the fact that when I walked in, the staff was very welcoming. They asked me if it was my first time there and then gave me a little semi clear white box with a polisher and a emery board in it and a sharpie to write my name on it. I was told it was my box for all of my visits... that way I am the only one those two boards are being used on. The place looked very clean and well kept and even smelled nice. everyone was helpful and polite. My nails and eyebrows look great and it only cost me $18 total. their prices are very good compared to some other places. I'm sold and will be back. they are next to Jennifer convertibles.... kind of tucked away. read more

My sister and I wanted to spend some time together getting our nails done and had heard nothing but good things about this place from our coworkers. Sadly we had differing experiences. We originally went in to get full sets of acrylic nails and they immediately started trying to up-sell and convince us to go with dip powder for double the cost instead, which I find irksome. But I gave in and said sure, and so did my sister. Now my sisters nails came out looking very lovely! Perfectly and evenly shaped at the length she wanted and with the shape she wanted (square tips) the dip powder looks fantastic and you'd almost think it's her real nails the layer of powder is so thin. Mine on other hand... mine didn't turn out quite so nice. The lady who was doing my nails was very sweet but also very rushed, which resulted in a sloppy and uneven job. The dip powder was not evenly smoothed out on all of my nails leaving lumpy dips and valleys on my nails, and the powder is so thick on several of my nails that they look like that stupid bubble nail fad from a couple years ago. She gave them an bubbly rounded shape despite me saying I wanted squared edges like my sister and their shorter than I would have liked as well. Still, I'll probably go back to give them another chance, in hopes that this was just a one off, since everyone else seems to love them so much, and then make my final decision after that read more

I came here for a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow wax today based on the other rave reviews. Within about five minutes of sitting down in the pedi chair, I started thinking that walking out might be a good idea. First off, the staff is very nice -- that's the one star. It was the quickest, most rushed experience of my life. My pedicure lasted 15 minutes, during which the guy slapped some exfoliator on my feet, didn't even rub it around, soaked my feet for about two minutes, used a nail brush on about three of my nails, and looked over my calluses, completely missing them. My feet are still rough, my hands are still rough, and the massage is non-existent. The woman who did my eyebrow wax rushed also, and it was an extremely painful experience. At the end, she said, "The mirror is over there" and left before I even had a chance to look at my eyebrows! I don't usually experience tenderness but everything *still* hurts. I've been wanting to try Pearl Nails over by Arundel Mills, and I know that Oasis in the Annapolis Mall does a great job, so I think I'll be sticking with that. Wow! Wow! Wow! After seeing such positive reviews for this salon I decided to give it a try and am I so happy I did. You have to get Phil to do your nails. He is funny, gentle, friendly and so good at what he does. I have always gotten gel polish but at his suggestion 2 months ago I tried acrylic dip . That was the best decision ever. My nails are healthy, strong and it actually last 4 weeks through all kinds of things I put my nails/hands through. Washing dishes, typing, digging in dirt. I am updating this salon to 4 stars now. Really I feel 3 1/2 would be appropriate. As often happens with places I fall head over heels in love with, the quality does not stay consistant. Over the last several months it has become very difficult to be seen. Walk ins are more difficult, which is fine if I have to start making appointments (which is what they recommended I do) however they only do walk ins on Sundays. Then on Sundays when you get there, you risk they closed early due to lack of business. It became too frustrating to deal with. Also, one visit I got a guy I had never had before that was very rude to me and a bit rough on my hands. That was only once. My last visit though, I had my regular manicurist and pedicurist and the manicurist was really not as friendly as usual. In fact, my box was no longer on the wall (which has happened once before) and instead of nicely offering me a new box, I was almost yelled at to look again and find it. I had 2 other people help me look and it wasn't there so I was reluctantly given a new box. Honestly I was really shocked by this treatment and decided the remainder of my stay in Maryland, I probably just won't go back. I am still leaving this at 4 stars though because it remains the best acrylic and pedicure for price in the area that I have experienced. There's more to a nail salon then it's appearance. I love the idea that everyone has their own box, and that it's very big. But that doesn't make up for everything else. I wasn't particularly impressed with the staff. I've been here twice, merely because of the convenience of it being close to my hotel. The first time I came in, I got a full set. The guy was very rude, didn't speak very good English and didn't seem to understand what I wanted for a design, and got very frustrated with me. The second time ( And Last ) the guy doing my pedi was very nice, but wasn't particularly good at his job. The lines were uneven, & I was really unhappy with my massage- which is a HUGE reason I get pedi's, he tried to use a reflective, weird pink for my toes. read more

The nail salon needs a face lift for starters. I needed a pedicure and full set, the guy in the front of the store directed me to the pedi chairs. The nail tech was kind of confused about what to do, although she did a good job on my feet, I had to constantly coach her on the dos and dont's. Very hard to relax. I was unaware that she had an appointment, the guy told me that I had to wait OVER AN HOUR for a full set while other customers were coming in and being serviced. Very unprofessional and did not care about how I felt. I had to leave and find another nail shop to get my nails done. Will never be back. read more

I spotted this place coming from Planet Fitness and looked up the reviews. Mostly good. The fact that they provide you with your own personal nail files was the deciding factor. Cleanliness is a must. Walked in on a Friday night and was taken right away. Great attention was given the shape of my nails and he was very friendly. I didn't get my cuticles done nor massaged but I assume it was because it was Friday night. I'll give them another shot in approximately 3-4 weeks when they're not so busy. I have been to this salon a few times, mostly to have my eye brows waxed, which if done by the older woman look amazing. I have gotten pedicures there as well and am impressed with the fact that each person has their own tool box so you are not swapping germs with people and they have lots of colors of polish to pick from. Today I went to have a pedicure and was less than impressed. There is one younger girl who works there and I feel like she probably really doesn't want to be there. I know lots of times, people do pedicures differently but she left my feet looking rough, didn't remove all of the previous blue nail polish, didn't scrub my obviously dry legs and kind of made me feel weird by making random eye contact with me during the whole thing but not saying anything. Even the person with me made a comment about that. Also when she waxes she tends to do the eye brows way too thin. Before today I would probably have gone back again for a pedicure but todays experience made me look to yelp for other options. If I do head back I will be sure to hopefully avoid having this girl as a tech. read more

I really want to like this place because it's so convenient and I've had good experiences but my gel manicure and standard pedicures never last as long as they do when I get them done elsewhere. I would rather drive a bit further to spend the money on a gel manicure that will last more than 3 days without chipping. I didn't think this place could get any worse than last time I was here. It used to be so nice. So I gave it another shot I got a pedicure that lasted TEN minutes start to finish!!!!! Horrible. The polish was all over my skin. It was not painted to the cuticle An there were bumps on my nails. When I complained I was told that the design would I the bumps an they were surprised that I wanted the polish all the way to the cuticle. And after all this I was not even offered a discount. I went to US Nail today based specifically on yelp reviews, and I was not disappointed. The salon is rather run down looking and looks like it might have been an Italian restaurant at some point that was just emptied and turned into a nail salon. The carpet is dingy, the chairs squeak and look 30 years old, and it isn't a fancy "spa" type atmosphere. The male tech I got may have been the salon manager or even the owner, and he was very pleasant. He asked me what I wanted done and understood exactly what I meant by "SHORT short nails, as natural as you can make acrylics look". He seemed to be in a little bit of a hurry, but I did make a last minute appointment so I think he may have fit me in when he was about to leave, and he didn't rush or make me feel like I was imposing. Some salons encourage walk ins and then treat you like you're cutting into their free time, but he was very friendly. No one tried to sell me on any additional services, they just nicely asked if I needed anything else during my appointment. The nail techs addressed the other customers by their names and asked about their families, even congratulating one on her daughters wedding. Customer service is REALLY lacking in a lot of salons, but I was SO IMPRESSED by the attitudes of everyone working today. My nails came out looking better than I'd had them in a LONG time. I would absolutely suggest US Nail to anyone in the area. No, you won't have indoor waterfalls or pale green spa colors, but you will get amazing nails and service that feels genuinely friendly. read more

I just started working in the area and needed a nail salon. I went on Yelp and found great reviews about US Nail & Spa. They WERE NOT WRONG!! I love this place. Not fancy, but great service. Ly Ly gave me my mani & pedi and was great. She used the razor on the bottom of my feet (something a lot of salons no longer do) which I love and put exfoliator all over my feet before wrapping them in plastic bags for a bit to soak in. My manicure came with a great hand massage complete with Ly Ly standing up and massaging my neck!! Now that is service. I will be there again soon. Go...you will not be disappointed. read more

Terrrrrrrrribbbbbblllle. I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF I COULD. Worst manicure I've had ever. My manicure was finished in 10min tops. My cuticles didn't even have time to soften in the water because I was finished so fast which obviously means I still have dry cuticles that were poorly groomed. She never asked me if I preferred my nails rounded or square then proceeded to shape them the complete opposite of the way I like them. The bowl that she brought the water over in was so yucky looking and the Polish job she gave me i could've done better myself. She didn't check back with me to see if my nails were dry just told me to put my jacket on before she polished so I wouldn't mess my nails up and wait ten minutes. also i keep referring to her as she because she never told me her name. I have been going to this salon for about two years, I would say I leave there about 90% satisfied about how my nails come out. Main issue: I will call days in advance to make appointments, and I usually never have a problem making one with the time I requested. However, I am always fearful when I approach those doors because 95% of the time they are running behind - and it's obvious that they took a walk in, even though I had an appointment. I have never once been late for an appointment or not showed - and I feel that they should have the same respect for me. I love going here. I really hate going to get my nails or hair done and having them talk my ear off. I'm at the nail salon to relax. And I have been going there long enough that they know I just want to quietly get my nails done. Everyone has their own box so my nails are filed with my own files. Big plus! Everyone is nice and yes there is one gentlemen that is quiet and thinks fast is better but you can request someone else if you are willing to wait. I myself don't exactly understand why people go to a salon if they are in a hurry. I love the owners although I haven't seen Whin(sorry for the misspelling) in quite awhile but Phil is always there.
