Did a pretty decent job on my busted fingernails...didn't get all the polish off the skin, but overall ok!

This place is in a weird spot next to the dollar tree, but it's surprisingly nice. I walked in at 6pm on a Friday and was taken immediately. They weren't slow, but they *were* adequately staffed, which was very nice. My one complaint is that the tools are just kept in that little plastic pencil-case thing instead of individually sealed sanitizer bags. The waxing room was a bit sketchy but the lady did a very nice job on my eyebrows. They only take cash for tips, but most places prefer that anyway. Bottom line: if I need a decent, inexpensive, close to home place again and I'm willing to chance it with the reused instruments...I'd go back. Gel manicure $30 Eyebrows $7

So for the past two years that I've been living a mile away, I've actively eschewed this place. It looks a little dingy from the outside, sandwhiched between a dollar store and a chinese takeout joint, and also I'm bougie as shit and like a chic-looking salon. I came here two Fridays ago because my nails (fingers and toes) looked like absolute shit, and my feet were so dry and scaly they hurt. Gross. I was also too lazy and sore from my recent car accident to trek up to Catonsville Nails & Spa on Frederick Road. SO I was like "suck it up girl, its just a mani/pedi and you don't need fancy water bottles and a movie on a flat screen to enjoy it." I first poked my head in for a sense of cleanliness, and was pleasantly surprised by the look of the place. Sure it wasn't fancy and was a bit cluttered, sure it smelled a little like acetone, but it was generally clean and had a nice pedicure area in the back. I was seen immediately, too, which was awesome sauce for a Friday afternoon. I did the basic mani/pedi with an a la carte leg exfoliation scrub (+$8). The older lady who did my mani/pedi was a but pushy with upgrades, but was generally friendly and did a SPECTACULAR JOB. Seriously, best plain old manicure I've ever gotten. It lasted almost a week and a half before any significant chipping, and two weeks out and my toenails still look hella fresh. I'll definately be back!

    great!

Absolutely amazing job! This is my first time coming and they were very kind! The lady said she has never done this design before, but it came out great! Very affordable, I will definitely be returning

T Nail Lounge stood out to me based on several reviews. When I walked in, I was greeted by a quiet and clean environment. Mabel welcomed me and asked me to choose a color. I opted for a standard pedicure and paid an additional $25 to have my old gel nails removed and replaced with new ones. Mabel and I chatted as if we had known each other forever, and I truly enjoyed my time with her. She was sweet and kind and even offered some recommendations for great places in the area where I could spend time while waiting for my son to finish camp. I will definitely return to T Nail Lounge whenever I'm in the Catonsville area.

I asked for a squared black french tip with a silver line under the tip, and my nail artist just spackled it on there. I went in the morning of my prom to address my displeasure, and I had to pay an additional $40 + tip to get them fixed on top of the $90 + tip I spent the day prior for amateur work. The nails that they "fixed" started peeling after having them for less than a week! Save your time and money, and please avoid this salon! Attached below are pictures of what I asked for, what I received and what they "fixed."

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves transparency. I visited My One Nail…read moreSpa for a (scheduled) full acrylic set and pedicure. After the acrylic set was started, I immediately noticed the application was incorrect. Because the salon was close to closing, I was encouraged to just continue with the service anyway. I declined the pedicure and questioned the quality of the acrylic application. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, I was initially gaslighted and told everything was fine. Once the technician realized I understood how the service should actually be performed, the situation suddenly shifted. I was offered a large discount and asked not to contact management because he said he would "get in trouble." That moment made me extremely uncomfortable. As an African American woman, situations like this can feel particularly unsettling because we are often dismissed or made to feel like we are being "difficult" for simply asking for the service we paid for to be done correctly. At that point, I just wanted to make it home safely and avoid unnecessary conflict. Even though I was uncomfortable and unsatisfied with my service, I still paid and tipped in order to de-escalate the situation and leave peacefully. It has now been roughly three weeks, and the acrylic set still has not properly cured, which raises serious concerns about the quality of the products or application used. I hope this review encourages management to improve both the quality of their services and the way customer concerns are handled. Everyone deserves to feel respected, safe, and confident in the services they receive.

Until now. I honestly didn't think these places truly existed. If I was getting married anytime soon (in the next couple years hopefully) I would 100% go here! Quinn is truly a nail artist. He showed me his portfolio of nails while working on mine and it was astonishing how good they were. A lot of nails you see in ads and online are printed and done by a machine so of course they are perfect, but Quinn is honestly able to recreate them so beautifully. If he told me he was an artist outside of this, I wouldn't be surprised. The shop was VERY cute and I was over hearing people coming in for various other services I am going to have to check out. I've never had a nail salon that I called home, but this is honestly a place worthy of that. Very understanding too. I was a walk in with random demands and concerns and everyone I spoke to was very understanding of that and helpful. For example, I said that I don't like gel because it makes my nails brittle and Quinn explained why that generally happens and how to avoid it and I ended up leaving with beautiful gel black tip designed nails. I'm obsessed with them. I've NEVER had nails this pretty. I've had plenty of very cute or fun ones but these are seriously good! And if I hadn't of done gel, they would not last long and I would be sad. I don't know why you are still reading this instead of calling or going there, you will NOT be disappointed. And if you are, just remember we're all human and we can't be perfect all the time. But I doubt that will happen. Just make sure if you see something you are not 100% happy with, just let them know! They will HAPPILY help make it right, so you have no reason to leave disappointed in the first place. I hope you are getting some you time after reading this and heading in. You deserve it. And they deserve your business.
