Vickie's Nails is a wonderful nail salon. Tina is the best The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

Very clean and friendly. They only do appointments but that is fine as never a wait or minimal wait time.

Unfortunately I should have stayed home and done my own nails. Nail salon people were nice and took my walk in appt. My person did basically shave of the prior dip powder left over which I've heard isn't the best for nails. It took one hour for regular nail polish. I get into my car and two nails have nail polish start to shrivel up and they aren't touching anything. I run back in and spend another 30 minutes for a fix and one nail kept shriveling (I wasn't touching!). They ran all my nails under the dryer for a good 30min altogether. I didn't have any more time to spend for what I thought would be a simple polish job. Almost all were shriveled up by the time I got home. Pics are of my nails one hour after leaving the salon. read more

I have been to Vickie's Nails before but it begs repeating what an excellent experience I have had yet again. Today I got a pedicure ($40) by Tina. She was gentile (I'm always worried about being cut or hurt) and careful and never did those worries enter my thoughts. She was ready for me at my scheduled appointment time and made sure the water was the right temp and asked if I wanted the massage in the chair, which she set up for me. Tina was talkative, but not too much, letting me lead whether we chatted or not. One of the things I have noticed the few times I've been to Vickie's is that when the clients come in, they generally know them all and call them by name. (Good to know they have repeat clients) and all the workers say hi to each client calling them by name. I felt safe and welcomed and the pedicure was lovely (I commented that the foot & leg massage was my favorite part, and I think Tina did it a bit longer than usual, which I appreciated). While I don't have pedicures often, I will not be going anywhere else when I do. Thank you Tina. read more

I went to Vickie's nails for the first time three weeks ago. Sue Anne gave me gel chrome nails. They have lasted perfectly for these three weeks without a single chip. When I went the workers were really kind and it was a good experience. I will be making my next appointment ASAP. I definitely recommend Vickie's nails!! read more

I have not received their services but I recently did visit the salon to get me nails dipped. As it turns out they do not provide the service. Friendly hint to the employees of the salon, when someone walks in for service, please greet them. I sat for about 10 minutes until I was asked if I could be helped. As it turned out they didn't provide the service. read more

I've been going to Sue Anne for over 11 years. The entire salon couldn't be friendlier and have become family. Everyone does any amazing job. It is tough for walk ins as they have a tremendous amount of regulars but call ahead and you'll get an appt as soon as there is one as it's worth the wait. It took me 3 years to find this hidden gem when my old nail guy moved out of town. Highly recommend for nails, toes and waxing! read more

Today I decided to try Vickie's after reading so many wonderful reviews. Andy was very pleasant on the phone and scheduled me in on the day I called for a gel mani and a regular pedi. It's a small salon with staff members that are friendly and make you feel right at home. However, I was personally thrown off by the fact that Andy and Dee called me by the wrong name on multiple occasions after I corrected them each time and Andy joked that my name would be Jessica when I went to Vickie's. This rubbed me the wrong way and my gel mani color ended up being different than the one I picked out. Andy sped through my manicure but it turned out nicely nevertheless. Dee did my pedicure and she was wonderful, very thorough, and gave me an overall relaxing pedicure experience. I've read multiple reviews saying that they paid $42 for a mani- pedi. I paid $65... granted I got a gel mani so maybe that really upped the price but this also leaves me feeling uncomfortable with my experience at Vickie's. If my nails last and don't chip, I might try this place again and hope that the weirdness I experienced was a fluke. read more

This place is 10 minutes from my house so I decided to give it a try. Very friendly staff, easy appointment made over the phone. I brought a reference picture and the man who did my nails matched it pretty well. I got them before a weeklong beach vacation and they stayed pretty much perfect through the wear and tear. I don't get my nails done often so I can't really speak to the details, but I would go to Vickie's again. read more

Hands down the best mani pedi I've ever gotten. It's a little out of the way for me, but it was def worth the drive. I called in about 30 minutes before and they were able to squeeze me in for an appointment. As soon as I got there, I was greeted and seated right away. I had Lily. She was the sweetest nail technician. She would always ask me if the water needed to be warmer, or if I was ticklish, or if I wanted my French thicker. She took her time and I liked that a lot. It was the longest, most relaxing mani pedi for me. I didn't feel rushed like I do at other cheaper places. This was the best French I've ever gotten. The white on my gel tips wrap all the way to the side of my nail (which other places always miss!!!) I love this place. Everyone is super friendly and nice. I will be back again! read more

Pleasant nail salon. I made an appointment for the Friday before Memorial Day. There was only one slot open when I called Thursday. Got a basic mani-pedi. I think it came to $42. The technician was really professional and genuinely seemed to care about her work. She was really exacting about my nails and cuticle. Her massages were thorough, gentle and firm. My hand and feet look great and I didn't feel rushed. read more

I made an appointment to come in to remove an old gel manicure and get a regular (non-gel manicure). Before the appointment, I had watched multiple YouTube videos on how to remove gel polish at home, but I was unsuccessful in removing all of it even though I soaked the nails for so long. Anyway, as you can imagine, my nails looked awful. My appointment was with Tina. I explained to her that I tried to soak off the gel without success and that I am not used to getting my nails done. I'd just like them short and with regular polish. Tina was so friendly and I don't think I've met a tech before that cleaned up my cuticles without a hint of pain. On top of that, usually within the days following, hangnails/bits of skin tend to pop up around the nail area, but not this time! I chose a nice new OPI fall color that is like a really deep purple/brown/grey. It's been 5 days now since my appointment and not a single chip has formed... I'm starting to wonder if it is indeed regular polish or gel polish! I have never had regular polish last this long without some sort of chipping. This shop is absolutely amazing! My only wish is that I mentioned more than once during the appointment about adding some sort of simple design to each of my ring finger nails, but turns out she still seemed to forget about it? I didn't want to press too hard as I was just happy to have good-looking nails. I'd recommend this shop to anyone whether they rarely get their nails done or do it often. read more

Vickies is the best! All of the folks are great and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend if you need a pedicure.

This is my favorite nail salon in Columbia based solely on the service and salon quality. My boyfriend treated his mom and I to nails around Christmas, she loves Vickie's so she scheduled us here. I've been coming back ever since. They don't take WALK-IN clients for a reason! It's so they aren't overbooked. No rushed messy services. No making scheduled/regular clients wait and waste their time. This is what separates them, efficiency!! Also because they're not rushing so they can get to the next client, they take their time and perfect your nails. The salon is VERY clean and organized. No clutter or questionable/non-sanitized products or tools. I got a gel manicure it lasted soooooooo long it was ridiculous. Atleast a month, with no cracking, chipping, or raised edges. Mind you I have a 8 month old so I was dishes and clean all day. They also did a very thorough pedicure with massage & hot towels. I'm going back and getting stiletto gel tips for vacation. I will upload pictures. The only reason I did not give them five stars is because they sometimes lack proper customer service skills when interacting with clients. For Example an elder woman came into the shop for a pedicure. She was very insecure about the condition of her feet. Even though she was trying to discuss it quietly the staff member shouted all of the woman's business across the shop to the man who was going to do her pedicure. The woman was humiliated I felt so bad for her. read more

I went to Vickies nails the first time and the guy did an awesome job with gel manicure. My second time going I requested ombré powder nails and showed the lady technician a picture of it (pink and white ombré). The lady took 1 hour and 45 minutes and my nails turned out terrible and nothing like I asked for. I paid $60 for the service. I've attached a picture below of the result. Th next morning I was traveling for a friends wedding out of town and ended up having to last minute fine a nail salon to take off my freshly made powder. read more

I have been searching for a good nail salon since I moved to Columbia and until now my search has been in vain. All of the other salons in the area that I have been to have been disappointments. I have gotten inconsistent quality (even when seeing the same manicurist) and at best the quality has been nothing to be excited about. Vickies however is a light in the darkness. I called up later in the evening to see if they could fit me in because I had a surprise interview the next day and not only did they get me in they gave me the best manicure I have had in ages. Everyone was really friendly and we had a good conversation going the whole time so it never felt awkward or cold like it can at other salons when they start talking to each other in another language. My nails are exactly the way I like them, short, rounded, shiny, and my manicurist (I wish I could remember her name) was very gently but thorough with removing my rough cuticles. She even stayed a late to make sure that everything was perfect and did not rush through the service even though it was at the end of her night. I cannot wait to try this place again and even bring my roommate here for pedicures. Even if my next service is half as good as my first then these guys have a customer for life because they are that far above the others that I have tried. read more

I went to this place to get my nail repaired and was met without the Pure Racism!!!! It took a white patron to call the owner out on it. I knew what it was when I encountered it but wanted to over look it because I'm from out of town here on business and needed my nail repaired. I just left after the blatant, In your face , we don't do black women nails attitude and went to another shop where I was warmly greeted and excellent service rendered. Vickies is my go to place for a really good basic pedicure. They don't have different options for pedicures like other salons, but for a basic 30 minute pedicure it's quite good. I gave it 4 stars because they could do a little better on cleanliness in the nooks and crannies. read more

They are my new go to salon for nails and waxing. I made an appointment, which seems to be best since they are really busy. I stopped in for a pedicure on a Monday (President's Day - so a lot of people were off work) and waited about 10 mins to get a chair. It takes me at least 10 mins to pick a color, so this was perfect. I saw Lily and felt that she was very thorough and attentive. She asked me about the water temperature and helped me get settled in the chair. I only got the regular pedicure, but she removed my calluses and gave me an awesome massage. At only $30 I was surprised that all this was included. This was probably the longest and most enjoyable pedicure massage I've ever had!! My toes look great and Lily was careful to clean up the edges to make sure they were perfect. The only thing I think they could do better is to offer more colors. However, I found several options I liked, so not a big issue. This place is a hidden little gem and I'm glad I found it! read more

So after wasting my $$ so at so many salons paying 30 plus for a gel manicure that only last 10 days tops, I decided to get on Yelp and found Vickies Nails and boy am I glad I did! I made my first appointment with Dee. Got a pedicure and a gel manicure. The pedicure took almost a full hour and it was amazing. But more importantly my gel manicure looked good 18 days and in all honesty I could have gone longer but I was tired of looking at the gold and black. Since then I have been back to Dee two more times to get my nails done and I continue to be satisfied! She takes her time and she's meticulous. She is also very sweet, you feel very comfortable in there, everybody who works there is very nice! Great customer service. read more

Great mani pedi and very friendly staff!! I went in for a mani pedi and came out completely satisfied. It was $42 for a regular mani and pedi combo and worth every penny. My nails looked amazing even after 3 weeks. Other than nail growth and minor fading around the tips, they looked almost like they were freshly painted. I would definitely go there again and recommend to anyone that's looking for a great nail experience. read more

I've been coming her for approximately 3 years. Andy does my nails. He is awesome. He takes his time & is very meticulous. I've never experienced any lifting and rarely any chipping polish. Tina & Jenny are the best for pedis. I used to let Ann do my brows but they were horrible. I also wouldn't recommend her for lash extensions. The glue was clunky. I could barely open my eyes. And one eye hurt for 6 days. When it was time for them to come off, I had NO natural lashes of my own. It's best to make an appointment & usually you are worked on within 5 minutes. Saturday's can take a little longer. read more

I'm not big on writing reviews but after today's experience I had to. I walked in with the worst nails I have ever had in my whole life (from a previous shop.) They were different shapes, thick, fat, and just ugly. As soon as I walked in, Sue Ann told me she had me covered! I went in today to get a gel manicure and was unable to be seen. I was asked if I had an appointment and I didn't, but was told to come in on Monday when I called Saturday morning (they were closing early due to the storm) The woman who I spoke to today seemed sorry I couldn't be seen but I was confused as to why they couldn't fit me in as there was only 1 other person on the salon. I may give them another try because I liked their work. But I need more flexibility in a nail salon (they are closed on Sundays) so I'll continue to look around. My first time was as a walk in, but I guess it's best to make appointments here. read more
