I went here for a pedicure with Han and she was super nice and i loved how it turned out! I returned a week later to get a fill-in for my nails because i was going on vacation. I had Twee who did an okay job with my french fill-in but weirdly, after i left, my nails were all bubbly and rough which I have never had happen before. I returned the next day and Twee fixed them for me. I'm not sure why but my toes chipped very quickly (usually when i get pedicures it lasts forever) and the whites of my french also chipped quickly too.. not what i was expecting after reading such other good reviews from all the other yelpers. may return for a gel manicure because they did have a much larger selection than my regular place read more

My go-to salon is pretty far away from my house in columbia so I decided I should venture out and try a place close by. I looked up reviews and delicate touch seemed to be a favorite. However I beg to differ. I think it's pretty obvious when a salon is dedicated to the customer and when they are more worried about getting you in and out of the chair. Unfortunately I felt the whole experience was rushed and not relaxing in the least. On top of that my cuticles were cut during the "manicure" to the point of it bleeding. There is no mistaking laziness. Pedicure water was basically cold. I think the professionalism and true DELICATE touch need to be brought back to this establishment. Before I moved to Columbia I had always gone to the same place in Rockville. I liked that all of the staff knew me and that the prices were incredibly reasonable, but I decided to search for a place in Columbia to avoid the drive. I am very glad I found Delicate Touch! They have a good polish selection and always do a meticulous job with my nails! I had only tried gel once before at a different salon and didn't have a great experience (it peeled off in a week!), but I am so glad I tried it here because it turned out wonderfully! The polish looked good as new two weeks later and there was no chipping or peeling. The staff is very friendly and easy to talk to as well. Honestly, I use to love this place. I've been here several times, but haven't because things have been busy and I moved further. I called today and asked their prices. The lady told me on the phone a gel manicure was $30. I especially drove an extra 25 mins because I remember I liked their service! When I was finished she brings my receipt and I was charged $40. I was like why? I didn't have any previous gel and there was nothing special about this gel manicure but mainly I was that you told me it's $30. She said no it's always been $40! I went back last year and I clearly remember them being around $25/30 but to me this is just about principle. How are you going to say one thing and do Another??? I also got a pedicure and there was no massage. Just a little lotion and I'm done. Also their nail polish selection I was a little bummed about. I never heard of the names before! I'm there right now: walk in. They seem to have a fairly steady flow of regulars, but I got the pissiest customer service I've ever received anywhere. It started when I walked in the door and if I was staying for longer than a simple polish change, I'd have bailed. The woman couldn't understand anything I was asking, and being rude about it (I'm the native English speaker, for goodness sakes) so eventually I just pointed at my toes and said 'SAME' even though I wanted a change. After seeing the good reviews and being in desperate need of a pedicure I booked a late afternoon appt. They were friendly and helpful on the phone and confirmed the date and time. I made a special trip out there only because I was having dinner out that way. When I got there, I was told by the sole person on staff that there was some of mistake. She was not aware of any appointments and everyone was gone and she was on her last appt. I typically call ahead and make an appointment with Han who is my absolute favorite! She does an AWESOME job with gel manicures, acrylic manicures, and pedicures. The other ladies are good but I have found that Han is simply the best. When I walk in everyone welcomes me and knows my name. I told Han that I was getting my nails done for an interview and 3 weeks later when I came back to have them done again, she remembered about my interview and asked how it went. That is EXCELLENT customer service. You might have to wait a little bit if you are a walk in but usually it is worth the wait. You get good customer service and 1:1 attention when you are with your manicurist. You become a "regular" on your second visit. They value their customers and will treat you right. read more

Visiting the area on business in in need of a pedi, stopped in to Delicate Touch based on past YELP reviews. I was not disappointed! Han gave me one of the best pedis EVER-a Lavendar gelatin pedi. They sprinkle scented gelatin into the water and the beads thicken up a bit to make a luxurious, slatherly soak to your feet while they're being attended to -perfect and not a callous in sight when she finished. Also had a gel polish manicure using my fav Gelish polishes. Twee(sp?) is the owner and very professional and friendly, Mimi is also a favorite. All the girls work well together and are family, so a very nice, relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. I am not from the area but these ladies offer top notch services and I will be back when in town. My own hometown pedicurist can't hold a candle to the level of service offered here. (Also saw a woman come out of aesthetician room having some knockout natural looking lash extensions applied !) I waited for almost half an hour for a manicure just for the nail tech Tina to sit down and take off the old coat of gel on one hand and then tell me she couldn't do it cause another customer came in. I then waited for another 5 minutes for the rudest nail technician Mimi. She didn't give me the option to pick out my nail color, I told her I wanted neutral and she brought out this pink color from her drawer when I told her I didn't like it she started pulling out their color swatches showing me the identical color. I finally picked something after being rushed and then she sloppily did my nails it doesn't even look like I had a manicure. I will never patron this place with my business. It's a shame I am a pretty loyal customer and stay with the same business for years just cause good customer service is gem when you find it.
