Gel manicure
Steph S.

Just disappointed. This place has really gone downhill since the ownership and employees changed. I used to go here all the time with my family and I would get gel manicures that would last a month. When I went under the new management the first time, I had acrylics done and my skin was cut up and the filing made my fingers burn. I wanted to give this place another shot, so I recently went again to get a gel manicure which I knew had lasted me a month under the previous ownership. The nail technician painted on top of my cuticle so when it grew out, the polish near the cuticle is raised and keeps getting my hair caught under it. Also, I wanted my nails painted different solid colors so the nail technician said that would be ok to do, but she never told me there would be an up charge until at checkout! And lastly, the two younger employees were gossiping while I was the only customer in the store which I thought was very unprofessional.

What I asked for, a natural and neutral manicure.

Went into the shop today for a little weekday morning treat, the shop was quiet and relaxing, the service was professional but friendly, and I was very happy with the results I got by having the lady help choose a color and shape my nails however she thought best. The place is a little dark and not updated but all their materials are clean and well cared for. I was pleasantly surprised that my manicure was just $10, that's normally a price I see in NJ or NY in places where people are getting a manicure every week. My only problem here is that I have to make the vital decision of whether to get my coffee and pastry before or after my manicure.

Excellent quality and service! My nails lasted for like 2 weeks with no chips. I'll have to go back next time I'm in need of a pedicure

It's my go to to get my nails done, on busy days it takes a little long but they always put so much effort into everything that they do.

T Nail Lounge stood out to me based on several reviews. When I walked in, I was greeted by a quiet and clean environment. Mabel welcomed me and asked me to choose a color. I opted for a standard pedicure and paid an additional $25 to have my old gel nails removed and replaced with new ones. Mabel and I chatted as if we had known each other forever, and I truly enjoyed my time with her. She was sweet and kind and even offered some recommendations for great places in the area where I could spend time while waiting for my son to finish camp. I will definitely return to T Nail Lounge whenever I'm in the Catonsville area.

I asked for a squared black french tip with a silver line under the tip, and my nail artist just spackled it on there. I went in the morning of my prom to address my displeasure, and I had to pay an additional $40 + tip to get them fixed on top of the $90 + tip I spent the day prior for amateur work. The nails that they "fixed" started peeling after having them for less than a week! Save your time and money, and please avoid this salon! Attached below are pictures of what I asked for, what I received and what they "fixed."

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves transparency. I visited My One Nail…read moreSpa for a (scheduled) full acrylic set and pedicure. After the acrylic set was started, I immediately noticed the application was incorrect. Because the salon was close to closing, I was encouraged to just continue with the service anyway. I declined the pedicure and questioned the quality of the acrylic application. Instead of addressing the concern professionally, I was initially gaslighted and told everything was fine. Once the technician realized I understood how the service should actually be performed, the situation suddenly shifted. I was offered a large discount and asked not to contact management because he said he would "get in trouble." That moment made me extremely uncomfortable. As an African American woman, situations like this can feel particularly unsettling because we are often dismissed or made to feel like we are being "difficult" for simply asking for the service we paid for to be done correctly. At that point, I just wanted to make it home safely and avoid unnecessary conflict. Even though I was uncomfortable and unsatisfied with my service, I still paid and tipped in order to de-escalate the situation and leave peacefully. It has now been roughly three weeks, and the acrylic set still has not properly cured, which raises serious concerns about the quality of the products or application used. I hope this review encourages management to improve both the quality of their services and the way customer concerns are handled. Everyone deserves to feel respected, safe, and confident in the services they receive.

I've seen those fancy photos online of people with their…read morewedding nails that look FLAWLESS and like they were done by an art major but having been to several salons, I've never seen it in real life. Until now. I honestly didn't think these places truly existed. If I was getting married anytime soon (in the next couple years hopefully) I would 100% go here! Quinn is truly a nail artist. He showed me his portfolio of nails while working on mine and it was astonishing how good they were. A lot of nails you see in ads and online are printed and done by a machine so of course they are perfect, but Quinn is honestly able to recreate them so beautifully. If he told me he was an artist outside of this, I wouldn't be surprised. The shop was VERY cute and I was over hearing people coming in for various other services I am going to have to check out. I've never had a nail salon that I called home, but this is honestly a place worthy of that. Very understanding too. I was a walk in with random demands and concerns and everyone I spoke to was very understanding of that and helpful. For example, I said that I don't like gel because it makes my nails brittle and Quinn explained why that generally happens and how to avoid it and I ended up leaving with beautiful gel black tip designed nails. I'm obsessed with them. I've NEVER had nails this pretty. I've had plenty of very cute or fun ones but these are seriously good! And if I hadn't of done gel, they would not last long and I would be sad. I don't know why you are still reading this instead of calling or going there, you will NOT be disappointed. And if you are, just remember we're all human and we can't be perfect all the time. But I doubt that will happen. Just make sure if you see something you are not 100% happy with, just let them know! They will HAPPILY help make it right, so you have no reason to leave disappointed in the first place. I hope you are getting some you time after reading this and heading in. You deserve it. And they deserve your business.

Anyways my entire nail got busted because they use an illegal glue called MMA. It is outlawed due to the dangers and likely injury it causes, but it is CHEAP. So, salons like these use it and deceive customers. Every time that I have had acrylics from reputable salons, they pop off if hit too hard. This nail was literally attached to me and ripped my entire nail off with it. There is no excuse for that. THE WORST PART. I went back in looking to just address the problem and remove the rest of the acrylics. I showed them the pictures of my nail bleeding and hanging from flesh, and she proceeded to charge me 10 DOLLARS for ripping off 4 nails (the ones left that I wanted to remove so I did not sustain any more pain, suffering, time off from work ect.) I could NOT believe it, but was willing to swallow the money and NEVER go there again. To the woman who did my nails, your clients deserve so much better. And when someone shows you an injury sustained my your negligence, they should NOT be charged.
