Unprofessional Behavior Nail & Spa Expo (Valentine's Day Visit 2/12/2026) I visited Nail & Spa Expo on 2/12/2026 for a Valentine's Day service. When I arrived, the nail technician, Linda, was doing her own nails. I had builder gel on my nails longer than I should have (which I didn't realize, as I'm not the expert). I was told my nails were healthy, yet two nails broke the very next day. I posted a short review that simply said "builder gel fail." I did not mention any names or details at that time. When I later called to discuss the issue after the owner offered a refund or redo, the salon manager repeatedly said, "What do you want?" in a rude tone while on speaker. She then abruptly put Linda on the phone without telling me. Linda also repeatedly asked, "What do you want?" and told me I had called too much, which is not accurate. I calmly explained that I wanted a refund due to the poor outcome and service. Instead, I was told to pick up a gift card and "give it away." I do not want a gift card. I wanted the matter resolved professionally. This is not my first issue. On 1/18/2026, I received white polish that appeared old. I texted and called for nearly a week (1/18-1/23) trying to get it corrected. When I finally returned (Linda is off Sundays and Mondays), the manager insisted I would have to pay $30 for a polish change or accept the same old color again. That is unacceptable. Additionally: The manager's demeanor is hostile and unwelcoming. Customers are spoken about loudly within earshot. Linda's sister had started and during appointments, she caused delays, because Linda kept stopping to assist her. My mother also experienced rude treatment during her recent appointment. I was asked to remove my honest review, which I will not do. I believe in supporting businesses that show professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, this establishment has repeatedly demonstrated the opposite. read more

Today's visit to Nails Expo & Spa was quite refreshing. Unfortunately arrived just before close but they were able to accommodate for a pedicure. I chose the Charm Spa Pedicure which does include callus treatment, sugar scrub cooling gel, hot towel, hot stone cream and hand massage, paraffin wax, and cuticles care. This package is valued at $65 dollars for about it an hour worth of treatment. Special thank you to Kim and Cici who made today's experience possible. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxing, and well lit. The staff here are generally very professional. I do recommend you give them a try for your spa service needs. read more

Called for an immediate appointment after one of my acrylics broke at work, I needed a full set anyway and was told to come in even though it was after 5pm.. No wait, the service was fast and they were able to squeeze me in for a pedicure in addition to the acrylic fill. The massage chairs have great pressure which I feel like is hard to find. Overall affordable price range to other places in the area. I would recommend calling to see if they can take the walk-in. They also offer discount for paying in cash. read more

This place is so close to our home. So convenient that I had to try it with a couple of Afghan ladies I've been befriending. Their menu is quite full with lots of choices. While waiting, customers seem to just walk in without any appointments, which caused our appointments for three pedicures to be delayed unfortunately. There were two people there working with one person on her way. We arrived a bit early, but had to wait additional time beyond our scheduled apptm. In total, I had to wait about 1/2 an hour beyond our apptm. time. The prices are compatible to other salons but with fewer workers. I did appreciate them not pushing me to get other services other than what I had requested. One of the reasons why I did not return to the other salon in Columbia ever again. read more

Lee was great! I called at 9:30 For an appointment at 10 AM. I showed up at 10 AM he was quick proficient and even made a few jokes as he did my manicure. I'm a pretty simple girl I just like a buffed any luck on my hands as I'm really not supposed to have color on there per se. The nail salon was clean and they were only a couple of other patrons in there as I'm sure it will be super busy today as it is the start of the memorial day weekend. I really like the gentleman with tattoos. He did my pedicure and took his time. The guy who did my manicure was not as great. After putting lotion on my hands, he quickly wiped my nails with a dry towel and no acetone. Then proceeded to paint. He also did not cut my cuticles all the way back. He painted over them. I'll go back, but only for the guy with tattoos. Not satisfied paying for this quality. These photos are two days after. Paint started to peel yesterday, one day after having them done. read more

Nail Expo & Spa recently opened in my neighborhood, but I wasn't able to patronize the business early due to COVID closings. But when closings were lifted, I called immediately and requested an appointment. The spa is beautifully designed and clean. They have plastic to protect the patron and nail tech. The pedicure chairs even lift to support your foot while they give you a massage. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return to this location! read more

I've been waiting for Nail Expo to open because they are literally located about 1/2 mile from my house. And recently, the nail tech that I go to in Laurel had her baby. I was not looking forward to looking for a new nail salon becuz I'm extremely finicky about who and how my nails, feet and eye brows are taken care of. So when the salon opened, I sent my daughter in la biow to go do recon and try the salon out. She returned very happy and excited about the service she received and how fabulous Lee was. I saw her nails and she's right, they looked great. So I accompanied her on her next visit. Lee took care of both of us and I have to say..he is absolutely AWESOMELY FABULOUS!!!. He is a master of his craft and took care of me as though I was only customer he had. He made sure that I was happy with the outcome. The salon is beautiful and very warm and welcoming. They acknowledge customers as soon as they walk in and made them feel comfortable. This is a great salon and I'm so happy they are in my neighborhood. As for Lee..he is incredible!! I had to go back the next day becuz the gel polish on a nail began to lift a bit. I walked in..Lee took care of it immediately and my nails are once again fabulous!! Thank you Lee!! BTW.. my milk and honey pedi was great and my feet felt great..nice and soft.. he got rid of the dry and rough calluses. Thank goodness cuz dem feet needed help!! Everything in the shop is new and sparkly clean. The massage chair provided a comfortable and relaxing massage during my pedi. It was so relaxing I'm surprised I didn't fall asleep. Desperately needed a mani and pedi but I don't like making appointments. I called to see if they could take me after work and it was my best idea all month. The spa is super clean, spacious, new furniture, and so many colors. The guy who did my pedi was so gentle especially considering I broke my big toenail. My acrylics are falling off not even a week later, and my toe polish was streaky. 6 of my nails are already gone. I sat unattended for longer than one hour drying my hands and feet. Customer service was terrible!!. I was just placed there and the only way that I got their attention after waiting a long time (after I said excuse me many times) was by asking for assistance. I felt like I was bugging them. I didn't even tip because I felt ignored. Customer service is terrible and we should be able to communicate with the manicurist without running them down. I tried to give this salon a second chance. We wont get into the horrific 3hr first experience... lets start with this evening. I showed the 20% coupon i had received as compensation for my first visit. The pedicure was okay until i wanted to check the quality of the polish; I was signaled to sit back. Once she was finished the quality and shape was not the best lots of white space and nails cut various ways ... I was going to get my hands done but then i was provided the nail tech who messed up my first time at that point i left. Now check out i was over charged the bill was $75; 20% (-$15) ... i was charged 64 plus surcharge for using card. come to this salon if you want in and out and no care about customer service. i can tell you they lost me as a customer forever! read more

I went in for a basic mani/pedi. The pedicure was good and didn't have any complaints. I did not see them clean/scrub the tub down and for some reason they weren't spacing customers out well despite only having 3 people doing a pedicure at the time. The manicure is the main reason for the 3 star rating. It was very rushed and at the end when new customers came in, they forgot about me. My pedicure ran over, so the person doing mine started rushing since there were waiting customers. They didn't cut the nail short, so then when I asked again, I ran over another 10 minutes. I did make an appointment, which I highly recommend. It wasn't very busy when I went on a Monday afternoon, so I got seated right away. However, with a few walk ins, they started to get busy and those that had appointments later had to wait. Mine ran over so the person doing my manicure, I could tell was rushing, because the next customer booked an appointment with him and then had to wait 20 min over. There is also a language barrier, so go in knowing what service you want and stick with it. Mainly they have to figure out the scheduling issues with appointments and walk-ins. Maybe if they weren't busy, they wouldn't have rushed, but it is annoying because my manicure is already coming apart. Would not go back for the manicure but maybe a pedicure. read more

My new Nail Shop! I have known the owner Lee for years now, and only trust him with my nails. He is very considerate and professional in his work. The shop is lovely and clean. The nail tools and materials used are new and disposed of after use. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and there is a nice selection of colors to choose from. I was even served a nice glass of wine. The location is conveniently located off Coca Cola Drive in Hanover, Maryland right next a Dunkin Donuts, and not too far from Arundel Mills Mall. The prices are decent and the staff accommodating. The nail tech was rude and i have shakey hands and he constantly told me to stop moving when i couldn't control it. The nail shape is probably the worst ive ever seen and theres bubbles in the top coat. Ive never had a problem with moving and ive been getting my nails done at different salons for years. My paraffin pedicure was amazing! The tech (youngish male) did a beautiful job and it was extremely relaxing. I did have to wait about 25 minutes for a 12 o'clock appointment, but my feet were in the water and I had the massage chair, so I was fine. However, they switched me over to another tech to do my dipped nails. At first, he sat me down at Lee's table, but then Lee moved me to a different table when someone else walked in. The dipped nails are horrendous. First, they did not have a color close to what I was looking for... I usually do a natural pink by Chisel, and they only had OPI dip. So I said I wanted a French manicure, and the tech suggested this pink color instead. I felt a little bit of pressure, so I said yes, I'll try it. (I do not like the color and I should have stayed with my original plan, but that's my own fault.) I don't think the tech had much experience with dipping powder--she didn't have any of the base/top polishes and had to borrow them from someone else, and she put *four* coats of dip with two coats of gel on top. They are lumpy, uneven, and the cuticles are hideous. I really wanted to love this place because the salon is a mile away from my new house... But I just don't know if I'll return. It may be worth it to drive to my old neighborhood. read more

Decided to try to find a good nail salon, only to be disappointed yet again. I was super excited when I saw the rating and reviews. Called and asked when they had time for two deluxe pedicures and two deluxe manicures as my girlfriend and I needed them. He went through the schedule and we landed on 6:45pm Friday. I told him that we are coming because of how good the reviews were and wanted his best technicians (not knowing only three people working in there). We show up at 6:30pm so we weren't late. We walk in and they just sat two people down for pedicures, and one person getting a fill. I said hello, we have an appointment. Lee proceeded to say they are behind and asked us to come back. I said no we have an appointment. He then says do you want to come tomorrow. I said I'm not coming back tomorrow this is when we made time in our schedules. He said can you wait, I ask how long, he said 35 minutes. We decided to wait. An HOUR went by before ONE technician started on us. Not joking, we didn't get out of there until 9pm. Kim used the callus remover without the callus remover oil, and instead of getting the round of the heels she only did the bottom. I'll post pictures of the manicure because I am assuming others don't realize the cuticle nipper should be used all the way around, which was not done. So what they can make pretty designs, their professionalism, customer service and quality are horrendous. Nail salon customers around here have obviously never been to nail salons outside the DMV area where they do a good job, don't have to be corrected and take customers at the time of their appointment. We will not be returning. read more
