I got the basic pedicure with gel and my toes look so pretty everyone there was so nice and professional. DO NOT RECOMMEND: Went in for a full set after previously calling to schedule an appointment. My appointment was agreed to begin at 11 am and was not seen until 12:30 pm due to the girl who did acrylics not being there just yet. After making conversation I found out she lives in Mililani and tries to not be at the nail salon too much everyday which doesn't make sense if you're going to tell someone a certain time they will take you in but not have the right person there simply because they don't want to be there that much. (Other clients were also experiencing the same thing of being told to get there at a certain time for appointment but not able to be seen then because of the set back due to acrylics girl not getting there for an hour and a half). Application and nail polishing took about an hour as I got a plain color. Shaping was good. Length was what I wanted. Great until it wasn't. Nails popped off soooooo easily and left my nail bed absolutely DESTROYED. So weak and left with sunken in marks from the acrylic nail placement. One of my nails appeared to have a bacterial infection. Green bacteria growing under my nail and sore to touch was not something I had ever experienced elsewhere. Instruments did not seem to be cleaned between customers let alone AT ALL. read more

Steven/Phong is the person to go to for nails! I showed him the design I wanted for my nails and he was able to replicate it to the tee and with his own twist as well. The design was very intricate and he took the time in making it impeccable. The nails also lasted very long - I just had to take them off because I'm a "working" woman lol. But I had the acrylics for 2 weeks + and it DID NOT COME OFF. I still need to stop by to get my pedicure done. Plan on making this place my go to for pedicures as well - very good deal! Writing this for a friends since she doesn't have a Yelp account. My nails started falling off after 2 days. I didn't do any heavy lifting or smash my hands into anything or anything heavy like that. My first nail cracked right down the middle of my nail. I don't even know how this happens but my second nail broke in half (these were full nail extensions) while I was grabbing my bag and the rest of my nails had cracks in them. While she was doing my nails one of the butterfly stickers peeled off and she asked me if I wanted her to fix it and I asked how was she going to fix it (because she already put a layer of acrylic and top coat over it) and she didn't answer me and I asked again and was just ignored. Half of this butterfly is gone even tho she supposedly capped it and put on a top coat. Mind you all these nails are acrylics but if you saw saw them in person you would think it was just gel. My friend thought it was JUST GEL! I didn't want to just get up and leave and be rude especially since she had already cut me while buffing my nails and she didn't even apologize for that and tried to wipe it off before I noticed. She might have been new I don't know it just seemed off from the jump and I don't know if I'd recommend this place. read more

Thank God the owner is so awesome and right away said they will fix it. When I came back to fix it I got Steven who fixed my nails . Thank you Steven for fixing the issue with my nails. So I NEVER write reviews, this is my first one! But so worth it At first I was a little hesitant because of the lack of reviews, and I didn't see any blonde pictures on there, but tam and Tom were soo amazing. So helpful and sweet. I felt absolutely pampered. They went as far as wiping off the bleach from my forehead and even putting Vaseline on there to make sure I was comfortable, in all my years of getting my hair done I've never experienced that type of care and concern. At one point I had all of the nail techs and hairdressers around me complimenting me, my eyelashes, and just in general that I look good! Beware- their online booking system is awful. Your selection of staff is not guaranteed. After receiving a confirmation of my online booking, I drove all the way down to my appointment to be told that I had to have someone different. I was also made to feel like it was my fault for not waiting for a confirmation (I DID get one!) and told I am supposed to call if I am trying to book a same day appointment. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to know this if it doesn't specify this on their website. Also, my husband's nails were cut too short at his two previous appointments. and he had bleeding and pain after his pedicures. I am so impressed with this cute little salon! I popped in there this afternoon while I was waiting for my cat to be seen by her vet and to be honest, I was a little wary at first because I'm used to going to hair salons that have funky music playing, stylists dressed all in black, and expensive haircare products everywhere, and Adore doesn't have all those frills, so I was worried that I may have just walked into a Super Cuts-esque salon. I'm very happy to say that my initial impressions were wrong. First, everyone there is really nice and accommodating, and I was able to get into a chair even though I didn't have an appointment. The interior is very clean and simple, and it's really easy to settle in and get comfortable there. The hairdresser--whose name I wish I remembered, but I think he's the owner--is friendly and very good at what he does. I left with a really nice layered haircut that only took 45 minutes whereas other salons take an hour or more. The best part was that it was only $28. That's so cheap compared to fancier salons and Adore's quality of work is just as good as theirs. I couldn't believe it. I'm definitely getting my haircut there again. I'm glad I didn't judge the book by its cover or else I would've missed this gem. I'm really happy with the results and I highly recommend visiting them at least once. Worst customer service experience. My girlfriend gets her nails done regularly. The shop that she was a regular at was sold by the owner, so she has been trying new nail spots here and there. Today, she went to Serene nails for the second time for a mani and pedi. The pedi started out great. However, the tech didn't make an effort to clean under the toe nails or cuticles and went straight into painting them. My girlfriend stated in a soft speaking voice, "Doesn't a pedi include cleaning the nails?" My girlfriend was then engaged aggressively by an employee named Ann, who stated that the girl did clean her nails. Again, my girlfriend gets her nails done regularly, so she is familiar with the procedure. The nail tech didn't clean the cuticles or under the nails, just trimmed and went straight into painting them. When the issue was brought up, my girlfriend was berated and made to feel embarrassed as the employee Ann started yelling at her, embarrassing my gf in front of everyone. My girlfriend had to ask several times for the employee to step back. The entire confrontation was recorded. My girlfriend called me crying due to the negative experience. I feel responsible because I gave her the money to treat herself. I never posted a negative review on any platform, but this situation was uncalled for and could've been fixed by simply offering to correct the wrong. read more

I was a little hesitant to write this review for my own selfish reason and I don't ever want this place to get way too busy that I'd have to make appointment weeks out. But... this is one of the ways to show support and they deserve it because they really are the best. As soon as I walk in, I am immediately greeted by a pretty, young lady. The salon is very chic and clean. I was seated on the chair right on time for my appointment. My hairdresser's name is Tam and I barely explained what cut I wanted because I honestly had no clue how to describe it. It's almost like he could see the picture of what I was imagining in my head! He's so precise and careful. You can really see the artistic talent he has in him by the way he cuts. He was also gentle when positioning my head (unlike other places I've experienced). I wish I kept my "before" picture and show the huge makeover Tam has done to my hair. My hair was super damaged and choppy (previous cut and color from another salon), and now my hair is soft, layered, and trimmed off all my dead ends. I used to pay $60+ for choppy/uneven haircuts. This wonderful experience only costed me $28. I will forever be a loyal client of this salon. I am extremely satisfied and relieved to have finally found a place for pamper. Where do I start omg. So I've been looking for a nail salon that does not charge freakin $300 for a set of nails. Well all I can say is I found it!!! Everyone is sooo nice! We came in a lil late. They stood open for a extra hour, to finish the work. The salon is sooo clean. Family owned so it's adorable! Everyone has smiles on!! I had been getting my haircuts at T&T Barber Hairstyling on School St. for about 4 years, but the couple who ran the shop moved to Market City to open Adore, and I have moved with them. When I first started getting haircuts with them, I showed them a photo of a decent haircut I got a few years prior, and they were able to replicate and adjust it to better fit my weirdly shaped head. They've pretty much memorized what I'm looking for, and I'm always happy with the haircuts I get. Also the price for a haircut is great, even for someone like me who's pretty frugal. Initially I wasn't even aware they were moving to Market City, but when I was walking to Foodland one day before their grand opening, Thong saw me and showed me around. First, the good news. it's a recently built-out new space and they did a lovely job. 1st class and spotless, the massage chairs are amazing. They play music in the background, but it's not objectionable. I got a mani/pedi on Sunday when my usual place, Creative Nails on Monserrat, was jammed. Creative frankly does a slightly better job, but Adore was perfectly competent. And Creative is so crowded all the time, it's not relaxing to go there at peak times. one thing I love about Creative, however, is that they play a loop of clean family movies in the background - I get so bored when I'm having a manicure, it's great. Adore has 2 beautiful big screens that just play music, waste. but overall, relaxing and good service. $50 for standard mani/pedi with buffed nails (I think Creative is $5 cheaper), so about standard. Amazing experience getting my nails done here! The staff was kind enough to let me walk in without a nail appointment and the wait time was only five minutes (note that there were only two nail technicians when I walked in and I just got lucky with the time). I didn't get the name of my nail technician but she did an amazing job. I was very specific about the design I wanted and she absolutely nailed it. My daughter and her friend had acrylic nails done at Serene Nails yesterday, and both of them were cut by the drill used by their nail techs. My daughter was cut twice, on two different fingers. She initially thought they were minor cuts, but today they are red and painful. I called the salon manager to let her know this happened, so that they might be more careful and better train their staff. Good things ... man and woman working greeted me as I walked in and were very friendly. The lady who cut my hair was nice. Chatty and bright but not annoying. Haircut was about $25 after tip. Bad ... she doesn't listen. As I looked around and reflecting back, maybe they only know one style of cut for men. I ask to barely have my hair cut. Just clean it up, lightest of trims. She buzzed the sides! I mean I was in the Army and NEVER had my hair that short aside from Basic Training, AIT and if I had to go to a school. To make matters worse the bottom was buzzed and there was no blend or fade. just a harsh almost non-existent transition. THey have overall decent reviews. Maybe they do nails really well.
